Not normally one for deli sandwiches, Keith's turkey subs have me completed addicted. I don't know if it's the cranberry sauce, the bread, or the whole combination but every few weeks, I get a craving. The small "mom and pop" shop feel is also a nice change of scenery.
When in Calgary I make time for a visit to Keith's this time I tried the keitalian sub with Italian sausage it is a tasty sub and a friendly little place good food good service if going for lunch get there early as it gets quite busy. Loved it see you again Keith's
Stopped by for lunch, had not been here for a few years, used to work in the neighbourhood, but not any longer.
Was not disappointed, reasonably priced, freshly prepared, great food at a fantastic value. Stop in you will not be disappointed.
I find the people complaining about lack of selection or cash-only pretty laughable. Now in his 44th year in business, Keith has it figured out.
This place is old school. Soup Nazi-style no-nonsense ordering. The sandwiches are made to order but they don't take instructions well. I found the food tasty but the room and the experience were my jam. Letter board menu on the wall. A few signs indicating the rules of the place. A deli like this can only be built on decades of hard work. Looking forward to visiting again.
Boyfriend loves this place so took me for lunch one day. Inside is cool with all of the retro action figures. Ordered the turkey but nixed the cranberry sauce. Was good, very garlicy, a bit too much for me. Staff are friendly.
Great sandwiches. Light but filling, price isn't bad either. I work nearby and this would probably be a daily lunch spot if it weren't for cash only. It's 2016! I hate carrying around cash. Considering most businesses have technology to let you pay with your phone and this place is still in the stone age. They make you take out cash from an third party ATM which charges you bank fees. I think I'm gonna have to pass unless the odd time I have cash on me.
Service is fast, sandwich was good. Ordered the turkey with cranberry sauce. The insides were tasty, but definitely not a fan of the bread they used.

Still one of the best places in town. Just have the Keith's special. Do it! It is excellent!
Perfectly melted cheese + scrumptious sausage = YUMMY. I was taken to Keith's Deli as a surprise and although it's tucked away in Chinook Plaza in a relatively unremarkable store - their food was DELICIOUS! Although, isn't that always the case? The Keith's Special was exactly what I wanted - gooey mozzarella cheese, tangy cheddar, just the right amount of mayo to moisten the bread but not too much to ooze out of the sandwich unattractively and the sausage...the sausage was like a juicy piece of heaven! The perfect blend of spices and the kind of sausage that would explode in your mouth, propelling you into Awesome Sausage Land.
Thumbs up - keep it up, Keith's!
The sausage sandwiches are wonderful. They are meaty, cheesy goodness. Just remember to bring cash.
Homemade Sausage. Homemade sausage on a bun....add some cheese and you got a Keith's Special.....its pretty tasty. Its good but not as filling as I'd like for the price. I kind of expect these little hole in the wall places to serve outrageous type portions of awesomeness. It is really good but not quite there for me.
Staff is always friendly and efficient. It's an occasional stop on my journey to 350lbs
KEITH'S SPECIAL. Nuff said!
This is the place that introduced me the lovely treat known as the Jamaican patty, and I will be forever grateful. The sandwiches are always fresh, and I would recommend going early to avoid the line up at lunch. Very reasonable prices. Could never muster up the courage for the pickle egg though... Maybe one day!
Just got my weekly Keiths special and it was fantastic! I've eaten Keiths after break ups, tooth surgery, Anything! It's just too good. I highly encourage everyone I know to go.
Loves me some keiths! Reuben keitalified. Favorite.
Keith's Special is a great sandwich! I had to try one of those out myself after reading all the reviews and recommendations for it. Now that I know how good the Special is, it's going to be hard trying to order something different the next time I'm there.
As far as the service goes, all the ladies working were very friendly. Still cash only, but there is a bank across the parking lot if you need cash.
Nothing better than a Keiths Special on a Friday after school. The warm barbecued pork sausages smothered in a gooey layer of mozzarella and cheddar cheese just warms you right up!!
Perfection on a bun. This is a little lunch spot, hidden away in a strip mall just east of Chinook Centre. Whenever I go there, I get what they call a "Keitalian" forgive me if I spelt that wrong! That is a Keith's Hot Italian sausage, on a bun with mayo, mustard, onions and melted cheese. This is the absolute best deal in Calgary for lunch. I just wish they were open through the dinner hour, because of a recent change in work location, I can no longer go there for lunch..
Super fast service, great prices, REALLY friendly staff, and the best damn sandwich in the city.
Keith's Special. I had my first Keith's special today! Quite a tasty treat - delicious sausage!! My one suggestion would be to keep some hot sauce handy... would have gone perfectly! Good, smiling service to top it off.
I have been going to Keith's Deli since I was a child and is still a favorite of mine!!
Jim and Wendy will always have a smile on, and the bread is always fresh!! Don't forget to order the Keith's Special (which is a homemade receipe of pork sausage and spices)
You just can't go wrong when you can have a lunch for under 8 bucks!!!!
Perfect Deli. I've only been to Keith's once but I can't wait to go again. The food was delicious, the people behind the counter had a great small-town feel and Keith had his new grand-daughter to show off :) Good prices, only minor thing is that they are cash-only, or at least they were when we were there.
Incredible. This place is SO good, so simple, great service, great food. There's a reason it has been around so long.
It is located very close to Chinook Centre, within walking distance. Definitely worth the foray away from the same-old food court offerings.
When I first moved to Calgary about 13 years ago, my slightly older and much more worldly sister introduced me to Keith's Deli, she moved to Calgary as a starving student and like all starving students do, found the best places to eat on a shoe string budget. How I have benefited from such wisdom. Keith's Deli has been a favorite for 13 years, I hope it will be here and the same for another 13 years.
Always good every time. I've been going to Keith's since I was about 10 years old...that's 20 years of Pizza Pup's! Thankfully they are only open on weekdays and only during the day...so I can't go often...otherwise, I would have a serious addiction to deal with! The staff is friendly and efficient. The prices are great. And the food is always what you expect!!
The joint was packed the day we went but the service is speedy and the people are genuinely nice and happy to have you there. I too, am a big Keitalian fan so not much more that I can say other than I love a damn fine spicy sausage on a fresh bun. Next time I’ll try something different to share with ya’ll. The same cannot be said for Cody.
I'm not sure why I've never noticed Keith's Deli before but one of my friends said I just had to try out Keith's Deli and I quote "Best Meatball Sandwich Ever." So what do Fuzzy and I do, drive straight over there for this recommendation. We come up to this nice little deli, with a few tables and a line up, hmmmm we don't see a meatball sandwich on the menu. But there is a Keith's special, homemade italian sausage sandwich. Guess he got mixed up, but there was no disappointment here, great sandwich, nice bun, sausage was excellent and they have a spicy version too. Plus at the counter they sell, Jamaican Patties, sausage rolls, wings and more homemade sausage. I had a Jamaican Patty on the side, one of my weaknesses and I'm so glad there are good patties in the South. Prices are decent, I wish the sandwich was bigger but they know what they are doing. Look at their Urbanspoon rating,
