We started off with their Suya- thinly sliced beef with Nigerian spices, then the pepper soup with chicken. We got their puff-puff which is this sweet bread sort of thing and I absolutely loved it. Then we got a full grilled tilapia which was perfectly cooked. Then we got iyan, pounded yam flour with okra and goat meat, the Jollof Rice with a side of fish was absolutely amazing. And finally we got a side of cow leg 😋
.
Everything tasted fantastic and their hospitality was amazing
My family and I were here a few days ago...great food, nice environment. Food was tasty and served on time. Courteous and warm restaurant owner. My expectation was surpassed. Â I will definitely be going back again soon!!!
My husband and I went here tonight. This place is one excellent little gem in the city. Clean! Beautiful! YUMMY. We had egusi soup with pounded yam and I had fish, hubby had beef. The effort that goes in to African food is to be appreciated and this place is affordable and simply excellent. If you cant take the heat you need to tell them to reduce it. I found it spicy but I like that kicker.
This is one of my go too places its so great with intense flavors. I have been here a bunch of times & tried many items but my favourite has to be the okra dry soup. I am not sure what is all in it but try it very good but a little spicy so if you don't like heat you should avoid.
Amazing food. I've never had African before and I feel like I've been missing out on real flavour my whole life. Go here, enjoy everything about it and then repeat steps 1 and 2.
Chicken and Steamed Rice. Very tasty but way over priced these to pieces of chicken cost 12.00 for 2 very small drum sticks
Tasty. Having never had Nigerian food I was a bit apprehensive. The owners daughter was happy to explain all the different types of food and I finally decided on the BBQ lamb special with rice and African sauce with a side of plantains. My husband picked a more Signature African meal Okele with a side of Eba (Cassava) instead of the yam and ordered goat. They give you an appetizer of African Timbits. Then the food came out THE PORTIONS ARE MASSIVE!! I was surprised how comforting my dish turned out it wasn't spicy it was delicious. The African sauce was delicious with the rice and plantains.
My husband's dish was a little different for me but he absolutely adored it. The one he had was cooked with kale, dried fish and shrimp. So you don't need to order an extra meat on the side. The kale was flavorful but be warned there are dried fish bones in it. The goat was delicious. I didn't care for the Eba it was a bit sour for my taste but my husband loved it.
The owner Bola came out and just was so lovely. She even brought out a sample of what the Cassava looked like. We ended up talking to her until closing.
I would go back and try something else.
The meal was delicious service was nice would certainly return
