Best Vietnamese food I've had so far in Calgary! The soup here is unique and flavourful. No other place that serves pho will beat this! Keep it up.

We went there because of the review score. But based on the pho I had and the curry beef stirred fry my husband had, I can only give 3.5, beef flank quality was so so and not very tasty. Basil leaves are not fresh. Curry beef was not so curryish, haha, it’s ok.
Always appreciate visiting here! The food is delicious and the staff is attentive and super friendly! It is my go-to vietnamese, take out or eat in! It never disappoints!
Fast and friendly service. Vermicelli was simple but delicious. Pho was super tasty and savoury with heaviness. Relaxed atmosphere. Nothing fancy but very enjoyable.
My coworker and I have been going here for 2 years. The service is pretty good, friendly ladies, most of the time we have great food but the last 2 times we've been, the food quality was poor. They used old oil for spring rolls and when we added an item we were not informed of the obscene price. When we confronted them they did not take ownership and even blamed us for not knowing.
This place is amazing. I've been looking for my go to spot for bun bo hue... and I've definitely found it! Currie chicken... SO GOOD. As you can tell I had a great experience. The people there were great and I cannot stop raving to my friends about this place. You gotta come here! You won't regret it.
Best Vietnamese Restaurant in Calgary, bar none. I work in the area, so I dine there often with co-workers. But my husband and I will drive all the way from the deep south on evenings and weekends. No other compares. The food is incredible and always fresh. The spring rolls are my personal favorite- it can be hard to find a good spring roll! And lets face it- are they even worth eating if they aren't amazing? You can tell all their food is made with pride and love. Tu Anh (owner) and her front line staff are always so friendly, sweet and QUICK! It's amazing how efficient, organized and clean the restaurant is. Even on their busiest of days, they will greet you with a smile and have you eating a delicious meal in no time. I could go on, but you get the point...
My go to neighbourhood Vietnamese place. We've brought friends who become regular clients after! My favourite items are: curry chicken noodle (a soupy curry, perfect consistency for soup noodles), satay beef noodle soup, and the central vietnamese noodle soup (mild spicy and no entrails like the traditional version - whew!). The vermicelli is good as well. The satay beef rolls are delicious. Prices are higher than what I'm used to paying (in Chinatown or the NE hood), but it's not overpriced for the quality imo. The owner is very welcoming and greets guests and chats them up. I love supporting local businesses like this that are so deserving!
Was treated to a fast, well done, perfectly seasoned vermicelli noodle dish here for my first time. The beef was just lovely - nice and tender. The server helping me with my takeout was friendly and very efficient. Great quantity of food for the price - was more than I could eat for a dinner. I don't even think my order took longer than 10 minutes, was still hot when I got home. I'll be back!
This restaurant is very clean and well lit. Tried the chicken salad rolls and coconut milk chicken vermicelli soup. The rolls were good but the soup was great! However, did not like the quality of meat in the soup, found hard gristle which was unappealing. I would come back again.
This place is literally the cleanest Vietnamese restaurant in town. Go check their inspection records. I mean you go in and you won't ever have dusty/sticky tables. They clean, clean, clean all the time. The food is honestly okay. And this place has been going downhill over the past few months. I don't know why, but they've been skimping on their quantity of meat and veggies in their noodles. Other than that, a great place with good service.
One of my favorite Vietnamese places in Calgary. It's clean and bright. I usually order the seafood pho and am never disappointed. Great spring rolls!
As a former SAIT student I was here quite often. It can get busy however, you never feel excluded. The decor is very nice and the service is friendly. The food is incredible. The pho and summer rolls are perfect with some jasmine tea. If you are going down this way, you definitely need to stop for a visit!
This is our go-to place when we need to grab dinner if we plan to stay late at school. (better be here before 8 since they close at 8:30).
Location was perfect since it's right across the street from SAIT. I may agree that they may not have the best pho (but hey they're still good!) but I would give them two thumbs up for the restaurant's cleanliness.

Great Buns. We been here the last 3 months and the buns are very good, especially any of the grilled pork buns, the sugar cane shrimp are really good too in #40. Service is fast, its right across from SAIT, nice interior. Its my new go to vietnamese place.

I have made it a point to drive out of my way to come to this specific vietnamese restaurant. I have been to many but nothing compares to this place!! What a hidden gem. Will definitely be coming here for years to come.
Not the best pho in town, but the cleanest pho in town. This place after renovation has been the slickest pho place in Calgary. They don't have those sticky plastic sauce containers that disgust a lot of people. Rather, they have clean and nice ceramic bowls! And this hygienic personality comes through with their dishes. The food at Pho Phuong Vi is honestly not the best Vietnamese food I've had, nor is it the best in the city. But if you avoided pho restaraunts due to greasey and MSG covered food, then give it a try. You won't regret it. Seriously, just check out their health inspection record. It is darn impressive. And you know, the food is pretty delicious, but just seems to never "hit the spot" for me. Nonetheless, a great place and I recommend it.

Yum!! The broth was amaze. So much more flavorful than other Vietnamese places around the city.. And I've tried a lot of places! Very impressed.
Authentic and amazing. I have lived in Calgary for four years and have had a really hard time finding a good pho restaurant. So many highly rated restaurants in the city are over hyped and leave us feeling disappointed. The pho at Pho Phuong Vi is amazing. You don't feel bloated after eating it like at other overly msg-happy restaurants. I would highly recommend the pho sate if you like a bit of spice. The prices are a little bit higher than the average in Calgary but you do get what you pay for.
Very impressed with the flavourful broth. Quality of the broth is the most important component of pho yet I find this lacking in many vietnamese restaurants in Calgary. Good sized portions with plenty of meat. Nice and clean interior.
I LOVE this place. The food J's delicious, rich, and has fantastic proportions. They so not hesitate to make accommodations to menu items to meet your specifications. The dining area is clean, has an elegant feel, and is spacious (no crowding). The food is authentic, and delicious. The owner often makes accommodations for larger parties at short notice for family dinners, birthdays, etc. After moving quite a distance, we will always go out of our way to eat here.
Best Vietnamese In CALGARY. This food is authentic and made with care. The best Sate in Calgary. I love getting the Beef Balls Pho with Sate added and clear noodles. The food comes out fast, it is FRESH and has a great taste. The owner cares about her customers and is very friendly. This is a hidden gem right across from SAIT. I live in Airdrie and I make the trip down because it is WORTH IT.

The food here tastes AMAZING and is completely authentic. It, hands down, has the cleanest public washroom I've ever used! There is also a great variety of food and the service is good. Would highly recommend to all.
Delicious & Friendly. Spicy vegetable soup was amazing. Reasonable pricing, good quality food & decent portions. Haven't tried a lot else on the menu yet but will be returning. Friendly staff and clean. Live only a few blocks from here so I'm glad I found it.

Love this place!. Service is really good & staff were friendly. Our food arrived shortly after we ordered, I was literally surprised at how quickly it came. The food is pretty good & reasonably priced. I have not tried so many Vietnamese places here in Calgary but this one tops my list so far. The place is nice and modern. The only downside is that there is not a lot of parking spaces. But that isn't going to stop me from coming back to this place (or recommending this place to others).
Truly excellent pho house. Nice decoration, staff is a bit complacent but service is not poor. Food was spectacular... Possibly the best pho I have ever had. Recommend 15. Sate beef w extra lime. Will be back for sure!
This place is really good! Awesome chicken salad rolls... Super fresh! Soup was very tasty, very good quality beef and lots of flavour (ask for some satay on the side) my only complaint is that they only offer one size and I can never finish it all. Our server was so pleasant and brought us the bill after without us even asking. Outstanding service for Vietnamese. Nice decor and ambience as well. I think this is one of my new favourites.

My girlfriend and I have been to many of the Vietnamese noodle houses in Calgary and this is by far the best due to consistent quality, friendly service, and an owner who makes it a personal responsibility to provide a great environment and dining experience. This is now the only Vietnamese restaurant we frequent, and among the first places we recommend to newcomers. My favourite soup is the special which comes with tendon, rare beef, tripe, and beef balls. Delicious! Not many restaurants earn repeat business the way that Pho Phuong Vi does. You will not be disappointed.
I Want To Eat Here Always. This place makes me fundamentally happy. The service is wonderful, and the woman who is normally at the front desk is lovely and so nice.
The food is fantastic, and the pho especially is positively magical. I had eaten at some really disgusting places recently when I decided to try this place out, and it is now my favorite place for Vietnamese in the city. My significant other, who has hated the pho soup at every other place I have dragged him to, is just as addicted to it as I am.
The woman who works there told us we should try their curry soup, which sounds amazing... so we will be eating the heck out of it next time we go. If we hadn't had family plans over the holidays, and if this restaurant had been open, we probably would have eaten there for Christmas dinner too!
AMAZING PHO!!!!. This is the ONLY Vietnamese please i will go to in Alberta. Ive been to places in red deer and Edmonton but this one tops the charts!! I go weekly with my friend for our lunch dates to catch up!! Always get greeted ASAP and drinks. Once you order food gets there within 10-15 Min. Best service in town! I don't understand why people complain about having to wait 5 min for drink or 15 min for food. It is super fast!!! I get the number 15!!! Best beef sate pho ever! I would recommend this place to anyone. huge portions as well never can finish my meal :) The staff is amazing as well they know me and my friend by first name and what we get :) Love It!!!
Best beef sate soup in the city. Service is always great and the food is always the same. I've been here a dozen times in the last 6 months and I've never been dissapointed.
Authentic Vietnamese Food. Great authentic Vietnamese food especially bun Bo hue and special spicy Vietnamese noodle. Also great and friendly service. Highly recommended food.
Fresh and Delicious. Probably the best Vietnamese restaurant in the city. The vegetables are crisp and always fresh, the broth for the soups is great quality, and all dishes seem to be prepared with great care and are always filling. I've been to this restaurant probably now about 30 times and I'm always greeted with a smile and I find the service and staff to be very excellent. I have yet to find a dish here that didn't make me crave for more.
Can't go wrong eating here and if you haven't tried, you definitely should.

Awesome.. I can not believe why is this place still empty. The food is good quality and cheap. Dine-in and you get even bigger portions. Above all, it tastes great. I often eat there or take-out there and I have never been disappointed. Their bubble tea is big and delicious. Minor complaint: tables are arranged awkwardly in the restaurant. Anyway, run to it.

Seriously? You're complaining about $1 for tea...calling it tacky? How about you're just plain cheap? It's a buck...considering it's serve hot and with a smile...AND it written right on the menu...tea = $1. You ordered it, didn't you? If you can't afford it...stay home and stop making noise... I bet you're a cheap tipper too...
I've been to this place 4 times now and have the beef sate noodle soup (pho), the chicken and spring roll vermicelli (bun), and the Central Vietnamese Noodle Soup (bun bo hue - a VERY delicious and traditional soup that isn't offered in most places) along with appies such as the salad rolls (they offer a selection of shrimp,chicken or beef) and spring rolls (both meat and vegetarian options)...every meal has been an absolute delight. My dining companion on 2 occasions is vegetarian and she was quite impressed with the selection and quality of food. I will certainly come here again...in fact, I look forward to it! This restaurant has it all, great food, great service, great ambience and the prices are so reasonable. The food is unquestioningly authentic...I would know...I'm Vietnamese and so is my mama (my dinner companion the last time I was there), and Phuong Vi is our new favorite restaurant.

The pho is good. The food portions are good. But only one size to choose from. They don't have the standard 15 choices for pho, only the most common 6 or so, but what they have is very very good. Decor is clean and modern.
You don't usually expect much for service from pho houses, but this place has it down. Friendly, fast, great for parties of any size.

Good food, great proximity to me. My favorite Vietnamese in town is definitely Bagolac Saigon, but I have eaten here twice, and the only reason I have only eaten here twice is I keep forgetting I don't have to go all the way down to Chinook for great Vietnamese, I just have to walk a few blocks to 16ave and 13st
The decor is not as nice as Bagolac, but definitely a lot nicer than your average Vietnamese place. I would have to say #2 in the city only to Bagolac.
The portions are average for a Vietnamese restaurant, but what really stands out about Pho Phuong Vi, above and beyond Bagolac, is the service. The staff are SO friendly. And not in that over-bearing, almost sitting at your table kind of friendly, just... truly pleasant.
I've had a chicken vermicelli dish with spring rolls, as well as a vermicelli dish with several types of pork. I am really tempted to try their soups, but maybe in the autumn when it's a little cooler out. Great fruit shakes.
Another thing I love about this place, that I don't usually comment on, is their logo. It's just so fresh, it really reflects the restaurant.
My Favorite!. I love this place. The atmosphere is cool, clean and cozy. The staff are extremely proffessional and the owner's mother makes everything like she would in her own kitchen at home. I had the sate beef vermicelli and it was DELISH! I eat vitnamese frequently and this place is the best i have ever been! Try it!
Wonderful Experience!. I met a friend here last night and was so glad we decided on this place. The food was delicious, prices very reasonable, decor quite beautiful and staff very friendly. I will for sure be coming back often!

Absolutely the best.. anywhere!!. Ok people.. Ill say this.. I have been to almost every notable pho restaurant in the city, and even been to vietnam, and this place - by far - has the best food (not just soup), bar none. The food is from a passed down recipe where the sweet vietnamese mother is still in the back, making sure everything is just right and made perfect. This is traditional vietnamese food at its best! The decor is awesome, the owner is friendly and gives fantastic service! Try the beef balls sate or chicken sate.. I will promise you it is amazingly good! I went to her restaurant on 17th and now at this location, and is just as awesone as i remembered it. I live in airdrie and dont think twice to drive down to eat here!!
What a great broth!. This place is right off of 16ave and 14th st in front of SAIT. What surprised me originally was the extent of the reconstruction. What had been 3-4 shady bars had become this wonderfully open and well lit noodle house. With classy decor to boot!
All the food was quite good down to the home made spring rolls. What really got me though is the clarity and flavor of the broth, simply amazing. Where others are cloudy or dark, this clear and sweet broth was exactly what was needed to fill my viet craving.

Much nicer decor than your average noodle house. Servers in traditional garb as uniform. Creates a comfortable and welcoming environment. Would take clients here. Food is great. Had #15 - beef sate noodle soup. One of the best in the city. Really glad they re-opened. Have missed this soup for over 4 years. Looking forward to going back.
I have waiting for this place to re-open for awhile! Pho Phuong Vi has the best Sate pho in the city! I had #15 beef sate and the broth was so rich and aromatic!!! It's a must try!
Food was great. Had sate chicken pho and #41 meal (shredded pork, shrimp cake and steamed rice). Both were out in 15 minutes and very tasty. Service was friendly and helpful. Definitely will go back.
Came here on an early Friday evening. The service was friendly and quick. There seems to be a lot of regulars here as and the owner (?) seemed to be very familiar with a lot of people there.
The pho was very good, overall probably about average - above average in Calgary standards. The beef balls were good and didn't have that slightly off taste that usual pho places have in their beef balls. Beef flank was a bit chewy but not really an issue.

Consistently fantastic, fresh, and tasty food. The owner and her sister are very kind and friendly, and when we call, they know us by our order (great customer service). This is the only place in Calgary we'll go for Vietnamese food. Item #5 is something I've never seen anywhere else - totally delicious!
When was the last time you were Greeted with "Thanks for coming in"? Lovely, delicious, fresh and quick food, lovely service. Our first time here, we enjoyed it! We started searching for a place to eat with the grumpy faced customers two malls East. Quiet here, not too many customers not sure why. We liked the music and the place looked modern, renovated and clean. Clean bathrooms too.
Nice clean restaurant with very friendly welcoming service. I had the vegetarian bun with veggie spring rolls and it was fantastic. Great flavour, perfectly cooked spring rolls and a nice portion size. Others in my group had the soup and sate bun and all enjoyed their meals. Definitely one of the better Pho restaurants I've been to lately. I'd return regularly if I went to sait.
