They get better! The original menu has sandwiches, rice burgers, curry, and japaghetti that are great, but now they also have ramen and good selection of tapas items that are delicious. Nice place and good food!

Unbelievably good Japanese food at this Japanese owned and Japanese staffed gem, The best chicken karaage I've had in Canada and that includes in Vancouver.

This place was great. Fast service, great food and loved the curry. Next time I'll be asking for more veggies in my curry but was still amazing :)

Good service! Liked their smiles and food. Not the same average Japanese restaurants all over the city.

Redheads Japacafe reminds me exactly of being in Japanese cozy cafes! Their comfort kare (curry) down to the fact that if you ask about special Japanese dishes, they'll let you know about whether they make them or not. Onigiraizu, kinpara, sandos, ramen and more!!

チョット覗きに来たら星がついてしまったので とりあえず一言。 料理の写真を見ていたら こんな時間なのにお腹がすいてしまった。 只今 日本時間で午前0時12分。 残念だが チョット遠くて食べに行けないかなぁ。

Highly recommend this place for brunch. They have “All you can eat” brunch, only on weekends. Friendly staff, nice and cozy place for brunch! Smoked Salmon Egg Benedict, French toast, curry rice with beef are absolutely must haves!Tea, coffee and dessert included. All you can eat costs $22/person. Definitely coming back and thanks for the great hospitality!

This little cafe boasts one of the most unique and delicious fusion brunch spreads in Calgary! For under $22 per person, we were blown away by the variety of options we could order, the high quality of the food as well as its presentation, and the efficiency of the staff (who clearly work so hard to deliver on the expectations of their fully booked set of tables). While everything was quality-made, our absolute favourite dishes were the Japanese Curry (we got it with Pork Tonkatsu) and the Brioche French Toast! We are already craving our next opportunity to visit again, this place was well worth it.

I love coming here. On a Friday night. 3 of us had curry katsu and my sis got burger with egg on the side. Sooooo good. They got the skewer for $1, happy hour price. I love this place! They offer all you can eat on weekends.. though right now you got to reserve a week in advance. If you are in downtown and want some Japanese curry... this is the place to go. According to my sis it's close as being in Japan... the waitress is super friendly too. By the time we finished, the restaurant was full! It says a alot! You can see their menu online. Happy eating!

Quality mixed A La Carte and self serve all you can eat Japanese brunch food. Finely made and pretty to look at and so tasty! The onigiri was great! They even have octopus hot dogs, curry, French toast, and more. Like eating food from an anime cartoon. They even have homemade ice cream. Everything is made so fine and you can eat as much as you want. How amazing is that?

The food here tastes outstanding; their Onigiri's are delicious and have a decent drinks selection. I am happy that this place has authentic Japanese comfort food and ramen, which is good value for your money. I would highly suggest this place to eat when you want to fulfill your umami senses with a great bowl of ramen in an unpretentious setting.

One of my favourite Japanese restaurants! I’ve been here many times and each time I go, I’m never disappointed, I’ve never had anything bad here before. The service is always quick and friendly and the food is always delicious. The food here is like Japanese comfort food and reminds me of what my Japanese family would make.

We got several entrees as well as many small plates (katsu skewers, fries, chicken karaage, takoyaki) to share for a large dinner celebration - this was for takeout. In the picture, I had the Japaghetti. It is a really well done dish and it comes in a really large portion! With the small plates, I was not able to finish the main. The pasta was cooked well - not too chewy, not too hard, and not too saucy. The only complaint I would have is that it is carb heavy and would be better balanced with a bit more veggie fixins and meat. In terms of the small dishes, the chicken karaage was excellent - extremely tender chicken with a slight crisp on the skin (the others were also great too!). As a side note, they have some interesting drinks. I tried their yuzu lager - it was refreshing for a hot summer's day and you can tell the yuzu flavor is there. The people here also seem quite friendly. Will definitely be back to try their other dishes and drinks!
