My work colleague introduced me to this restaurant today for lunch. I don’t usually drift this far away from my normal culinary favourites. But the staff at Faisal’s was phenomenal and the food was sooooo delicious. We had curry chicken and rice. The sauce was full of flavour and just the right amount of curry spice. It was so amazing that we had to use the bread to finish every ounce of sauce! One of the best lunches I’ve had recently. If you’re in the neighbourhood, I definitely recommend this small, quaint spot. You won’t be disappointed!

The mixed barbecue platter was outstanding! You get chicken tikka, fish tikka, and seekh kabob. Honestly they were all excellent - beautifully marinated and perfectly cooked and juicy.
I slept in a nihari was really good much better than I've had many other places. I would have liked this the meat was a little bit more tender but still it was really well cooked.
Light and fluffy naans - no need to say more.

I have personally tried the Afghani Tikka which melted in our mouths. Furthermore, the chicken biryani was really well made also, the only thing I would change is add more salt to it. However, my wife told me the raita/spicy yoghurt they give with it, when eaten together it solves the salt point. So there's that. I also tried their lunch special wherein I tried the Beef Shish Kebab, which was phenomenal, instead of rice, I got another naan, and then proceeded to make a naan kabab roll out of it with the salad and the raita/yoghurt as a sauce. SO GOOD MASHALLAH. One lunch special is good for two people to say the least, very fulfilling and top notch taste.
They serve hand slaughtered halal meat/chicken here, which I confirmed on the phone and in person with the person behind the counter. The kababs are made on a sizzling plate fresh, which adds to the aroma and they come in piping hot. They are sat on a bed of caramelized onions. so so so worth it. Next time, I visit Calgary this is my go to place for at the least lunch. Please do come here and try it out, you will thank me. =]

This is hole in the wall type restaurant. Excellent food - the BBQ platter and kabab are must try. The curry and butter chicken are really good. Not too salty or greasy. The naan bread is good but not the best. Coming from a neighborhood with lots of Indian restaurants, totally surprised and blown away with how good the food is! The price is also very reasonable and food service pretty fast. It seems the restaurant was under-staff and one non-kitchen staff has to do everything.

Delicious food. Consistently tastes the same over many years. The restaurant is small, so we prefer take out or delivery. They never disappoint. We have been eating there for the past 10 years. It's one of our favorite restaurants. It's really good value for money, and food quantity is also very good.

As someone who has never experienced Pakistani food before, this has set the bar very high for other places serving the same food. I went with a few friends and we ordered the Beef Kebab, Ginger Chicken Curry, and the Chicken Biryani. The beef kebabs came with an order of naan bread (one per order of kebabs) and on a bed of onions which were sizzling on a skillet, the ginger chicken was large, tons of chicken and enough to feed three hungry adults, the chicken biryani came piled high, very warm and soft. The staff were very professional and extremely welcoming. Overall I would highly recommend you come here if you have yet to experience the absolute delight of which is Pakistani food. If I could rate this restaurant higher I most certainly would!

Honestly, I have only ever really go their kebab lunch special but god dang is it super tasty and good bang for your buck! About $11 gets you two kebabs on a hot plate with sizzling onions, rice, naan, salad and a pop.<br/>I go here at least once a month!

Went with family from Edmonton and ordered mix platter and other food.<br/>Got food after one and hour and was cold and tasteless and waiter said<br/>they did mix up and since they were out of kebabs, they mad small &<br/>pieces, if they took from some other left over. Washroom was dirty and <br/>smelly. what a place. waiter said they will not charge for food for waiting<br/>but cashier would NOT agree. Very argumentative. Never order Platter<br/>and worst service!

Love this place. The chicken tikka and sheik kebab are my favourites. They must have read the service reviews because there was a very pleasant and attentive waiter tonight even though it was super busy. Been coming for years and will keep coming!

The food was good however, they really lack customer service. Just like one other reviewer mentioned, it's that one bearded guy who has no customer service skills whatsoever. There are many other options around and I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

The food here is some of the best Pakistani cuisine in Calgary. Service sucks. They are usually short staffed and the servers seem very busy, check up on you infrequently, and often forget items (once we got a pitcher of water but no glasses). <br/>My family and I love their kababs, biryani, and some random curries. The prices are reasonable for how much food you get, and the food usually tastes fresh and flavourful. <br/>This is definitely a hole in the wall, though, as seating isn't all too fancy and the restaurant itself is quite cramped. Go for the food or try takeout!

Probably one of the better Pakistani cuisines in Calgary (ignoring the location & the interior). Go here simply for the food, don't expect anything fancy. Its a small two levels restaurant known for delicious kababs & curries. I recommend take out. Try their chicken biryani, chicken korma, butter chicken, samosas along with the kababs. Mid range prices.

Been there 3 times for take out, and never going back again<br/>food is mediocre, to say the least, but the bigger issue here is the attitude of the staff who think they are doing a big favor to the customers who show up to eat / or buy food at their place.<br/>While waiting at the cash register I noticed one of their servers almost yell at a boy who was there with his family because he couldn't make up his mind if he wanted a can of pepsi or orange crush.<br/>The other time I saw them shouting back at a family when they asked one of their dishes to be changed to something else after placing an order.<br/>The last time I was there for a take out, I waited a good 10 minutes before a lady did me a favour by stopping by and telling me that they are not taking any more orders for the day. The kitchen was still open mind you, and people were still being served at the tables.<br/><br/>I am new to Calgary so this was one of the random places I just found through internet googling. But they can rest assured that they have lost my business for ever, including my family and friends (its a pretty big circle)

Muhammad Ahmad. Kbab hut has the best Lahore style mattan Karahi. They cooked with fresh tomato and ginger. They also have very tasty beef kabab. Customer service is also awesome. Overall me and my family are very satisfied.

Absolutely Great Taste!!!. Go there regularly, some times with friends and family. Always enjoy their great food. I consider it absolute the best taste of Indian Pakistani food. I guess service goes with prices. one can not compere 10 or 12 dollars meal with $30 a meal. Love the great food.

Worst customer service, It was very cold day when I stop by here, around 3 pm, I asked politely “may I get table for one”, this guy offered me table near exit, I took seat for a while but walls were very cold and I was freezing even with my coat on so I ask that guy for another table since all other tables were available, even upstairs was total empty and there was only one family eating at that time. But that stupid, fat, A**hole SOB just said “that table is ok for you”, I requested that it’s very cold there, but he said “Then you can go”!!!!! I just left coz I didn’t want to create scene in front of family and children. I have been going to this place for last 2 years with my friends and family but never had this prob. But this fat waiter is very rude, won’t go here anymore.

Worst Service. The reason why am I writing is because it happened twice. Last time I ordered a BBQ platter (half) and fish (double or full) and a curry. They added a full tikka and served BBQ platter full instead of half. They said thats the stuff I ordered. I was very annoyed, everyone of my family was surprised and annoyed because they all heard what order I placed. The same thing happened a year a ago too. Thats why I think its not a mistake its what they do, (especially with people like us)

Great food. Full disclosure: Every time I go here, I order the chicken tikka wrap or the chicken tikka platter. It's so good, I haven't felt the need to deviate and try something else.<br/><br/>My wife has tried other dishes and she enjoys them. The price is reasonable and service is decent.

Horrible.... rip off. I was not impressed with the food at all. we ordrered butter chicken (which i requested to be mild and was so spicy that we had to through out most of it), some naan bread and the chicken biryani. the biryani was just plain rice with 3 pieces of spiced bone in chicken thrown in. such a lame excuse for a biryani which is supposed to be a jem in pakistani cuisine. there were no fragrant flavors and all we could detect were strong flavorings of tandoori powder u get in the plastic bottles at the indian store and ginger. it was not good. the naan bread was the kind u know comes from frozen bulk not cooked in a tandoor, it actually had some waffle iron pattern on the bread ....! we paid 50$ for all this garbage and that is exaclty what it was....do not bother go next door to Cremica Foods instead. much cheaper and good food but no meat so beware for u carnivores.....

Poor Service. Placed a take out order over the phone and had major communicatin problems with the staff. When picked up the food and called to give feedback regarding problems with the order staff was rude and would not let me speak with the owner, said "they were too busy, and you don't need to speak to the owner" (it was 3pm and there was no one in the restaurant). Would not recommend this restaurant due to thier poor service.

Not Bad. I went there along with my family. We were going to visit Spice Hut but then changed our mind to try this resturant. First impression was very good, this is really nice little place. Good atmosphere and unlike what the others said, good customer service as well.<br/><br/>We ordered Sheikh Kababs, Naan, Goat Curry, Chicken Wraps, Chicken Tikkas, Kheer and Russmalai. Chicken Tikka's were the best while Seikh Kababs, Kheer and Rassmalai were OK. Goat Curry was a total waste of money.<br/><br/>There prices are a bit higher than Spice Hut. I would go there again if I feel too lazy to go to Spice Hut. <br/><br/>This place gets 6/10 while Spice Hut, despite their non-fancy location etc. gets 9/10. Spice Hut is just a bit too tasty!

Wonderful !!!!!!!. My dining experience at KababHut was wonderful, My husband, my sister, her friend and I had dinner there after a long day of driving.<br/>Our server was very friendly and the girl at the counter was incredibly knowledgeable of the menu and she was able to help us choose the menu items to suite our group perfectly. Every thing was just amazing!<br/>We enjoyed the Butter Chicken, Fish, Goat Karahi and Mango Shake. I would suggest it to any body,looking for a delicious meal . Kabab Hut is a great place to dine with your family or friends.

Awesome. I have absolutely, no clue what the two people earlier wrote about bad service. Because the service was amazing. I had went down with my family from Edmonton, and taster there wonderful food. The lady at the counter was extremely polite, as well the young boy had served us quite well. We had tried the chili shrimp and tandoori chicken.MY wife had the nihari and seehk kabbab. The food was excellent, i had been to many other restaurants in Calgary, but i havent tasted such authentic food, as i did at kabbab hut. I would HIGHLY recommend going there, again i have no clue what the two people ahd wrote earlier about bad service, i guess some people have a problem with eevryone and have miserable lives. But great job kabbab hut!!

Worst Customer Service I have ever seen. I went with my family with high expectations. Food was not bad but the service was very poor. food was served but plates were not. order came in installments and even one of the items we ordered was not served. After inquiry they said it was not ordered. When lady (probably owner) was told about the poor service she started misbehaving and said not to come again if you dont like service. They dont know how to run a buisness and deal with customers. I would not recoomend it to anybody period.

Amazing. On feb. 20th i was at kabab hut with friends. we ordered the kabab, chicken tikka, and a few naans. the food was fantastic, and the service was too good. we really like the upper floor. the waiter was very nice. his name was Shahrukh Khan. we all were suprised. after the dinner we ordered the rasmali which also was great. the pricing was reasonable, and once again the food and service was outstanding

Good food. I was there on friday with my family, first impration was wow !! A very good looking place .<br/>We ordered the Tandoori fish, Seekh Kababs and Goat Karahi. fish and kabab was served on siziling plates which was loved by all of us . My Dad loved their Goat karahi.Every thing was awesome and we loved their naans. their kashmiri chai was number one .The service was great and the atmosphere relaxing.<br/>After a long time ,we had a real good food which reminded me of backhome Pakistan<br/>I definitely recommend every one to try it out .

My expereince. Werecently had dinner at Kabab Hut with few friends we order Kabab, Chicken Karahi and Birani. Kabab was good but birani and chicken karahi were not what you expect from a restaurant and we rate 5 from 1-5 (very poor). Service was good very pricy for this kind of restaurant and we enjoyed their Kashmiri Chai but it was kind of too expensive $3.00 per cup.<br/><br/>If they keep this kind of pricing we do not hink they will be successful and other thing they change their prices without any sign in the restaurant so do not count on the price you are charged today next time it might be double.

The fresh naan which was brought to our table was exceptional. Crispy and fluffy. The palak saag was very fine (almost slurpable) and a little oily but good nonetheless. The chola were sweet, succulent and had a spicy kick to them.
