I'm from Toronto and whenever we visits Calgary and crave for Filipino food, this is the one we go to. Been to several Filipino restaurants but this is the only that captured me. The cleanliness of the place, attentiveness and the professionalism of waitress as well as the nice owner is excellent. The presentation and tastes of the food is delicious and will definitely recommend the place.

Very good food. I usually get take out so I feel like my experience is limited (I have no idea what to order but I’ll try anything). So far it’s all been good, there’s a glass noodle dish I absolutely love but forget what it’s called. I’ll definitely keep trying this one out.
One of the best soups I have ever had! Omg it was delicious!! I ordered the mussel soup which was a bit pricy but so worth it. The bowl was huge and everything was perfection. Super friendly service as well. I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes!!

This restaurant has Filipino foods and desserts. My friend and I went inside this restaurant and we came just about four minutes before the restaurant opened, as they had the "OPEN" sign on the window lighted up and we decided that it would be alright to go into the restaurant, as the sign was lighted up. We were greeted nicely and seated accordingly. We ordered a pork dish and the dish was bigger than expected, so it was a pleasant surprise that the price of the dish was not too bad for a dish that big. The atmosphere of the restaurant was not too loud, as again we came just when the restaurant was beginning to open its doors for service. The waitress we had was nice and courteous. The inside of the restaurant is small, so a group of possibly 6-8 people seems to be the most amount of people they can seat at a table. The interior of the restaurant is clean and there is a table where you can sit next to a fish tank. The food is delicious and they have halo-halo which tasted great and it had a scoop of ube ice cream on top of it. My overall experience with this restaurant was a pleasant one.
Visited 7 Seas for the first time Saturday evening Jan. 28, 2017 and would highly recommend this restaurant! The place is very clean, even the washroom! The owners were both casual/ professional and very friendly and knew most of the patrons by name as they were regulars. We had the Lumpiang Shanghai; Kare Kare and Lechon Kawali along with plenty of rice and endless tea. Everything was cooked to perfection and very tasty, Yum! Portions were large, in fact we had enough for at least 4 people and left with "doggie" bags. Only suggestion would be to preheat the tea cups! This from a guy who has been known to send back food; call out a chef on quality and cancel a food order based on the cleanliness of an establishment. Highly recommended and will return.
I tend to want to try exotic foods while my spouse prefers more food that is more mainstream . There is so much variety on the menu it works great for us. My first reaction was 'holy s@@@ how long is this menu? I like the soft veggies which are definitely marinated. Definitely want to order here more often
I surprised my girlfriend with this restaurant as I sometimes try to do with cuisines she has not experienced. I ordered adobo, lobster, and a veggie dish. The adobo was delicious but keep in mind if you have had home cooked adobo from a philipino it won't compare as the home cooked variety simmers for a very long time. The lobster, and shrimp dish was delicious and very tasty. The veggie dish's sauce was amazing though the veggies were a bit softer than expected. Overall the flavors meshed well and were very yummy. For those looking to experience new food and flavors I recommend coming here.
Food: 2 families of 10, we ordered, sisig, crisy pata, pansit bihon, grilled seafood platter. I'd say they all really taste good! Tilapia, prawn and mussels were perfectly grilled..evry dish was cooked just right and presented nicely on the platter. We liked the Banana cue (sugar glazed fried banana) as well. Kudos to the cook and kitchen staff, job well done.
Service: They accept pre-orders to keep waiting time shorter and they didnt fail us. Food was served less than 10 mins upon our arrival. Servers are nice and accommodating..
Ambiance: Neat, decent and simply designed appropriate to its name.
Note: A Gratuity of 15% is charged to bill for 10 ++ persons
Improvement: Halo halo is less sweet than normally expected and seems there aren't enough ingredients reason for its bland taste.
GREAT SEAFOOD. When we turned down the side street looking for this place, I had my doubts. But, once we parked and walked toward the door, we were greeted warmly, told to sit wherever we liked, and asked what we'd like to drink. I had grilled salmon with a garlic sauce. The fish was very good, and could have been eaten without the sauce. Lots of chips and good sides to go with it. Very reasonable prices and great service.
The best Filipino restaurant in Calgary. Great authentic Filipino cuisine. 5 star service. Clean and cozy. Highly recommended! My family and I dine here often.
Great Experience!. This place is right next door to Econolodge Hotel, where we stayed in so it was definetely convenient. My husband, who doesn't eat seafood, did love their menu selection as it carries a wide variety. We had the grilled platter which had 4 items and they were ribs, kingfish in coconut sauce, mussels and prawn. My hubby had the ribs and I had the seafood. The food were made and served meticulously and was definetely worth the wait. We came back the next day and had some more of their delicious food (steak, lobster & shrimp). This place is brilliant...the portions were huge....price is definetely in line with the quality of food...wonderful & friendly service. We have never been to a filipino restaurant and we must admit, we had a great time, great experience and awesome time. Highly recommended!

The food was in good proportion and pretty tasty! A variety of dipping sauces was provided to eat the food with too. The restaurant had a nice setting for a casual dinner with good food =).
Great Food, Great Prices and Great Staff!. This place has become a personal favourite of mine since returning to Calgary on business. I eat here at least two or three times a week and sometimes even twice in one day :) I'm not certain why some people are commenting that the food here is pricey, because I find it to be extremely affordable for the amount you receive and the quality of it. I've never had a bad meal here and the staff is extremely personable and very friendly (more so than most restaurants). The owners are usually always both on site and I've had many pleasant conversations with both of them.

I was staying at a hotel nearby this place and I had never heard of it until my friend pointed it out. I am so glad I went!
The first time I ordered a chicken sandwich (I know -weird since they're a seafood place) but it was delicious and they don't skimp on anything. They don't charge extra for whatever sauce you want.
The staff is extremely personable and nice. They have that family feel about eveything. The quality of food is definitely made with love and is very evident. They're very quick and efficient.
I'm going back tonight to try some of the actual seafood (I'm allergic to shell-fish) and I will report back.
So far, no complaints. One of the better places I've dined at in a long time when I'm back in Calgary. They truly value their customers opinion and care. I would repeat over and over again while I'm in Calgary.
The value for money is also right on par. You won't be disappointed.

What a great place to eat!!!!. My new favorite place to eat. The food is fresh and delicious. Seafood is cooked perfectly. I had the halibut fish and chips, it was very fresh. I would have to say one of the best in town. Seafood platter is MUST! The calamari was not over cooked and the grilled beef ribs is so delicious. And if you like filipino food, this is the place to eat. They serve different kinds of Pansit. We enjoyed the Crispy Pata Garlic(deep fried pork hock). Everything on the menu looks so delicious. They have an excellent menu, with lots of pictures to show you what the food looks like. A big plus in my book. It sure makes it easy to decide what to have. The restaurant is very clean, same as the bathroom's. The staff is very friendly, right from the time you enter the door to the time you leave. There always asking how everything is and if we need anything. They make you feel welcomed. It's home made food and good food cost a little more to make. I'm very pleased to find this gem in my neighborhood. We will definitely go back!! You will not be disappointed! Keep up the great work guys!!!
Fabulous place!. Who expect such a small cozy eatery to deliver a powerhouse dinner. We have travelled and eaten in some very nice restaurants and this experience ranks in our top 10.

Again, so consistent from our first experience. The service is refined, unobtrusive and focused on making your dinner as good as it can be. I cannot say enough about our experience.

Amazing food. A friend and I decided to try 7 Seas tonight soley based on Urban Spoon reviews. We called an hour ahead and reserved a table for two. When we arrived the restaurant was full but we were quickly ushered to our reserved table. The service was excellent, very friendly and helpful. We ordered one their most popular beef/seafood platters. It was amazing! Some of the most flavorful food we have ever had. Highly recommended! Our single platter was lots of food for two. plan on $25.00 plus per person for a full meal. Well worth it. We will definitely go back.
Warm and welcoming staff and an extensive menu with everything from fish and chips to lobster and a great variety of beautiful authentic Phillipino dishes. Great dining experience!
Fantastic Food!. Excellent! Lived up to the good reviews. Friendly service, large portions, and enjoyed house wine and beer. Very tasty - fried squid and bacon scallops appetisers. Main entrees - shrimp kabobs & steak, coconut and garlic shrimp, and the seafood mix were delicious! All 4 of us really enjoyed our evening.

I would have to say that 7 seas restaurant goes beyond diners expectation. The authenticity of dishes native to the Philippines is vividly captured by the exquisite taste delicately prepared to satisfy customers. Nostalgic feelings are roused by the hearty dishes on the table. The cozy ambiance complements the feastive dining experience. The prices are reasonable since it costs less compared to other mediocre restaurants without sacrificing excellent quality.I would objectively say one of the finest. Any contention I would gladly hear out being a designated reviewer of New York Gourmet.
Yummy Food. My husband an I sat near the kitchen and we were amused as we watched the cooks skillfully prepared each meal. The aroma of the food certainly built up our appetite. Food is the best! no fancy table cloth but the place is certainly spotless, especially their washroom which I loved.

I have to come back for more !. I went with 4 other people,and we each ordered different kinds of food.service is great.The bathroom were clean and the lotion smelled good.The food was so good that I have to come back the next day and ordered the same thing.
Grilled Platter, 4 kinds to choose from....we picked king fish with coconut and you can request if you like it spicy or not, grilled mussels, grilled giant shrimp and the very best BBQ beef. The best part...total price for all of us $90. For us this was such a great price, pretty cheap if you ask me coz we eat out a lot and this is a good price for the quality of food they serve. The best of it all is that I have left over for lunch!

We're so glad we found this place.its packed also,lots of people but were so intrigue by their menu.We waited for our food a little longer but hey it's understandable it's busy and it's valentines day.

Yummy. We've recently travelled to Calgary and found this place. The food was so good, we loved it! We will definetely come back for more as they have so much selections in their menu.
The service was great - they have guided us through the menu and suggested some very delicious meal. We had the grilled platter as it has four items that we were able to try - we had the grilled ribs, grilled shrimp, grilled squid and it came with coconut king fish. The flavour was so good. We just loved it so much. Our drink glass was never empty.

Still awesome food and great service. We enjoyed dining here, aside from their excellent food I commend this restaurant because damage to the budget is "very pocket friendly". The food is definitely worth the price.
The seafood taste amazing and it has always satisfies my cravings. The grilled squid and grilled ribs are my favorite. In addition, I was reading one of the reviews and it was mentioned "new owner", what I heard is that they just went for a holiday. Still the same owners. We have been eating here for years and there has been no changes.

Great selection!! Great quality food!!. We've been coming here since 7 seas open their door and nothing has changed. I am always impressed with their service. The staff is friendly and not hovering, knowledgable and can even make recommendations from time to time! Spectacular service and excellent food !! The only downside is that they are not located downtown, so we can eat often!
Great Food Great Service. In today's age of fast food and fast service, its great that I have bump into a hole in wall Filipino Restaurant. I have been really dodgie about Asian foods and what they use for spices and other food enhancer (MSG). With my allergies with MSG there certainly non of that on there menu. Presentation is great in fact its above average. It can even be calibrated towards fine dining.
Give it a try its a FIVE STAR in my books. Price is great it compares to every other restaurant in Calgary.
Love the food here. Sisig is a little overcooked when I last had it. But its fine. Staff here are friendly, but they do need to work on the service just a tad bit more. Overall Id recommend this place to anyone anytime. Better service and food than Pacific Hut on 17th ave.
Will be going back. Definitely will be going back. Run and serve by owners (2 sisters I think) and they definitely provide excellent service. Food is pretty good too, price is slightly on the higher side but worth it for consistent service and taste.
Good filipino food! The owner personally serves you but it's quite pricey. You actually wish it was more upscale (decor and square-footage wise) for special dates, or parties and events.
Kingfish & Coconut milk. Food was really tasty, especially liked the sauces. Staff was probably the friendliest I've ever ran into. Definitely want to go back and check out some of their other specials.
Delicious Food and Friendly Service. I eat here often with my girl friend. She says the food is as good as back in the Philippines. We greet the owners and servers by name and they are always friendly and make extra efforts to make sure we enjoy our meal. I always look for places where the food seems healthy and is a change from processed or fast food.
Surprisingly good!. I went here with two friends just randomly one afternoon with no real intention to actually ever eat here in the first place. As soon as we walked in my opinion drastically changed. We were greeted so warmly by the staff who instantly took our drink order when we sat. One of the staff members immediately came over to explain the menu to us also. The food was surprisingly good but I think what won over my friends and I was the service. The staff was so friendly and welcoming which made the experience a good one. I walked out of there knowing that I would be back again.

Great Food & Service. We decided to try this place out because of all the great reviews this place has and let me tell you, they are all true. Really great service, every single employee in that place was so nice, we didn't have just one server, every single person came to our table throughout the night, including the cook. The food was very good and the prices were reasonable too. Highly recomended, I will be back again.

Awesome Service!. I was badly craving Filipino food, and I have no idea how to cook it. The problem was, 7 Seas closes at 9 PM on Fridays, and I was off at 9:30 PM. So I called the restaurant, and DJ Melot was soooo nice. She told me to order what I'd like, and she would personally wait for me to pick it up at 9:45 PM.
Food was excellent as usual, but the customer service is beyond excellent! I will be a customer for as long as this restaurant is in business!!!
CRISPY PATA. If you don't know me, I like to eat. This place is one of my monthly rituals. I had lunch here and had the Crispy Pata, Kare Kare and Beef Sinigang. The food is great, the service is pleasant and friendly. The only thing is the price is on the heavy side. I remember DJ Melot from back in the days when she DJ'd. She takes pride in her restaraunt and you can tell in the cooking.
Just love it!. He food and beer selection is great. I love their steak frites. The food is amazing for the low price.
Ethic Philippine Food. My girlfriend and I actually visited here last summer while she was in Canada visiting me. I had an incredible Kare Kare with Oxtail, I believe Lourdes had the Chicken Adobo. The prices are a little expensive but you have to realize this is Calgary. They are closed on Mondays which is a shame!! I am planning on going back in 2011 when I get back to Canada. It is the best Philippine Restaurant in Calgary.
We Love This Place!. My wife and I were in Seattle last week and my good buddy proudly showed us the Filipino Restaurant he frequents. The food was okay but all I could think of was, "When he visits Calgary, we're going to show him 7 Seas!" Many Pinoy Restaurants like to serve food "turo-turo" style (literally "point-point" where you select food behind a glass enclosure). This place is different. The entrees are delicious of course but they are served like a fine restaurant in beautiful serving dishes and cutlery--- all with great personal service from its owner, DJ Melot and her smiling staff all eager to please. The place is bright and cheery and of course, very clean. All you would want to enhance your dining experience. Bon Appetit!

The location is definitely worth traveling to just minutes from the downtown and just off Macleod Trail this gem is a hidden treasure. The staff is always friendly and helpful if you're unsure of what to try next.
My favorite standby is the Seafood Platter for 2 with Garlic fried rice. Soooooo Goooooood!

I had to opportunity to try authentic Filipino food at 7 Seas in Calgary, and it was a little place - which is really easy to miss, as it's tucked away in a strip mall. However, the food is excellent, and the prices are really reasonable (with large portions). We tried a variety of dishes, from crispy Pata (deep fried pork leg) to the sinigang, and everything was cooked to perfection!
