Been here a while back. The food is fine. The portions can be bigger given how pricey the place is. It's alright though.. I get they're trying to be contemporary with their servings. Overall fine food.
Went for some Indian food and hoped for some extra spice stuff. I asked the chef to make me the extra spicy chicken vindaloo it was pretty good but I would give it a 1/10 for spice. Lucky I had fresh green chili to chew on. Definitely would come back.

Amazing food! We had dinner a few times in Greenchili and lets just say that the food is always in great presentation and very tasty. First class service! Highly recommended.

I just wanted to say we have ordered from Green Chili many times, service is always great & friendly. But the food this Friday was Outstanding! Best it's ever been in years ordering from there! Great job, compliments to the chef(s) that evening, hope the fantastic food keeps coming! Butter chicken was rich & creamy, not watery, nice chunks of chicken not too dry. Haven't ordered chicken korma in ages, as I aways find it bland & watery, but husband likes it, but wow what a treat! Korma was again rich with flavour, almonds, a little bit of curry/spice, & again lovely chunks of chicken. Saffron, pea, & coconut rice all perfectly cooked & full to the brim. Lovely crispy samosa, & papadum, nicely done garlic Naan. What a treat Friday night! If this level of food keeps up, I'll have to try not to order twice a week! Great job, keep it up.
Go to place for Indian food. A bit pricey but the portions are large. Great flavours and expansive menu, fast customer service. Over all good experience every time I've been here or ordered take out/delivery .
Ate in once, I think the staff were laughing at me as I order beef vindaloo and after they tried to talk me out of it. Aye it as tears were streaming down my face from the spice. That's not saying it was bad, the food was awesome. Just that it was spicy! Definitely our local Indian takeout restaurant. Pro tip save a buck and make a pot of rice at home!
Very good food. We've eaten at other Green Chilis in the city but this one is the best in terms of taste. I don't know if they follow different recipes or different chefs make the dishes differently, but this one is definitely our favorite. Their lunch buffet is also awesome. Good selection for such a tiny place.
Great little place. Love this small place! Me and my partner come here once in a while for their lunch buffet and it always is very good! Not as much selection as the other buffets (due to their small size) but everything they carry is very tasty and fresh.
My husband I ordered from here last night-3 main dishes, 2 samosas, 2 naan, 2 rice and a side of chutney. The food was pretty good, (except the butter chicken-very average) but we were disappointed that they added $8 to our order for delivery and an interac charge ($6 for delivery, $2 for debit) and then the expected a tip. The total was a whopping $73, but we had enough food for 2 meals.
I will probably order from here again, but I'll opt for the take out and save a few bucks.
The samosas were divine, the naan was really good, and the beef and lamb dishes were pretty good-say 8/10.
Decent Indian food in NW Calgary. We are glad to have an Indian restaurant nearby in the NW Calgary. It's not as good as Namskar or Tandoori Hut, and it's a bit expensive, given that it's not top-notch Indian food, but it's decent and it's convenient. We use both delivery (usually takes a good hour) and dine-in (service has been fine). Some dishes are better than others. The naan, dal makhani, chicken tikka masala, pakoras, and aloo gobi are good. The saffron rice and butter chicken are fine, but not special. Steer clear of the shahi paneer (very thin, watery sacue) and the veggie korma (the veggies were grocery-store mixed frozen veggies--you know the cubed carrots, corn, and bean combo--yuck!). All in all, a good choice for a regular Friday night family meal, but if you're going out for a special meal, try Namskar or Tandoori Hut of Glory of India instead
Ate there for dinner tonight and it was very tasty. Good, quick service and good food! It's not the best Indian restaurant I've been to in Calgary, but it was still really good. We'll definitely return!
Loved it!. I stopped in tonight on a whim, despite reading some negative reviews. For $19 I got 2 large containers of food, enough for 2 people to eat very well and HEAPS and I mean HEAPS of naan bread. Great bang for your buck.
Now flavor!? All I can say is that it was beyond delicious! This was THE yummiest fresh and spicy tikka masala I've ever eaten. I will be back and will recommend to my friends.
The service was great. The young man that served me was happy, courteous and helpful (when I was unsure what to order). I have only good things to say. I ordered take out, and it took just over 10 mins, not an unreasonable time for a made to order meal.

Memorially #1 or #2 for Indian in Calgary. Pricing at ~$60 to feed three, five selections, but the food quality is excellence. Not exactly a first-class dine-in restaurant, but certainly a take-away #1 choice!
I have never had better service or better Indian food. I cannot express how impressed I was with this restaurant! Please, give this place the benefit of the doubt and try it out!!
Lunch buffet used to be almost $18 but they lowered the price to $13.60!! much better deal for the small amount of items they have!!!
I don't know what people were complaining about in previous posts, but I must say we had superior, courteous service from all employees at the Crowfoot Green Chili. A wonderful experience all around, and a great end to 2012. We will definitely be back in 2013! Happy New Year everyone!
Great Experience!. We went to the Sunday Lunch Buffet and it was wonderful. The restaurant was fairly quiet ( right at opening time). The service was perfect, attentive without being intrusive.The naan was fresh and so well done that we ordered seconds. The buffet had a large variety of dishes and vegetarians will not go away hungry here. ( Non- vegetarians may resort to gluttony) So many choices! I love the sweet cardomon rice dessert and the honey balls, which finish the flavorful meal beautifully. For those reviewers grumpy about the price, it really isnt overpriced when you consider the work and ingredients that go into making each of the dishes. We will continue to go back. It is now our favorite Indian restaurant.
It's good but. I've read a few reviews about service. I usually take-out or have the deliver. I've always found there service friendly when ordering and when picking up. The food is usually ready pretty quick if you pick up but is worse than terrible when having it delivered. It is always over an hour and sometimes much longer no matter what time you order. The food is good, it's no Namskar but for the NW it is our best option. What can I say, we have it at east once a month even with the really bad delivery service.
The lunch buffet is a little pricey for lunchtime and the tables are really close to each other. But for a quick and flavourful lunch in Crowfoot, it is quite good. There is always a decent vegetarian selection.
DELICIOUS!. The food is amazing and very flavourful. The service is friendly and very efficient. One of the best places for Indian food in Calgary.
Good takeout. I've only ordered takeout from here once, but I thought the food was good. It wasn't amazing, but I definately couldn't complain. The best part is that it's quite easily accessible for the northwest part of Calgary to grab some quick Indian takeout.
Twice Late, but Twice Great. I've ordered Green Chili for delivery twice now in the past month or so.
Both times I was told 30-40 minutes, both times it's been quite late arriving (1st time took 1.5 hours, second time an hour), which unfortunately resulted in warm food, not hot.
I had butter chicken, rice, naan, and veggie pakora.
However, the food has both times been fantastic. Maybe I was so hungry (from waiting) but honestly this food is really tasty. I had butter chicken, rice, naan, and veggie pakora. Perhaps the portions could be a bit bigger, for the price they charge.
The delivery charge of $8 is outrageous, especially when the delivery is LATE! Green Chili, please respect your customers! Green Chili cooks, keep up the good work!!
Liza. My kids either go there or order from there regularly. I finally had a chance to try it out for myself. Although the place is small and busy and we had to wait when we finnally received our ourder it was quick and tasted wonderful. The lanb vindaloo was the best I tasted and everything was steaming hot and fresh. The owners appologized for the long wait but it was well worth it in the end. I love Indian food and this was the best I tasted. I recommend it to anyone who loves to try something new and spicy.

A - List. Recommended.. A - List. Highly Recommended. Wow! This place is tiny and somewhat off the beaten path. But once inside the aromas of awesomeness will captivate you. I was greeted with a big smile and very prompt service. The butter chicken and korma were excellent. I hear the safron is out of this world. The bill for 2 for 2 main dishes, side rice and 2 orders of bread came to $36. If you are looking for small business perfection, here it is! One of the best kept secrets in the NW.

I suspect the review by the person who tried all four of their restaurants and then recommended another restaurant is a competitor. Seriously, if you hate a restaurant do you go to the trouble of visiting their locations all around town?
One of the Best!. We have been here a few times now as we moved into the area and it is now our favorite place to eat! The service is fantastic and the staff are always extremely friendly... those samosas are the best and the sauce they use is sooo yummy. My favs are the butter chicken and naan. I have tried other dishes and there is no dissapointment!
Appetizer came out in 5 mins, mains in 17, excellent service, food tasted great, and they threw in free tea! Will definitely be back!
Terrific!. Ordered take-out today. When I arrived, the gent running the tiny place apologized that the order wasn't ready yet (I was early). I sat and enjoyed the scents flowing out of the kitchen.
Shortly thereafter, with more (unnecessary) apologies, I took home my order.
The chicken korma was outstanding. Goat curry was tender, spicy and very tasty. Tandoori chicken was delicious, although the serving was too small for the price involved. (5 pieces of chicken... 3 legs, 2 thighs.)
Rice was decent and naan was fresh and hot. The raita, while flavorful, was the only disappointment. All yogurt, nothing else. No bits of cucumber, although you could clearly taste it.
3 tasty dishes, accompanied with saffron rice, naan and raita... just under 50 bucks. Reasonable for the quality involved!
All it all, great food, great service from good people. No question that we'll order from them again! (Just won't do the raita again.)

Best Indian restaurant I've ever been too. The food, service, ambience, everything is top-notch. I went there a few days back and came out happy and satisfied. Looking forward to going again soon and recommend everyone to dine here.

Was at Green Chili Crowfoot for the
First time for lunch with work colleagues today and had a great time. Food was fantastic. Some of the items we ordered included mango lassi, vegetable and tandoori platter, butter chicken, eggplant and chicken biryani. Everything was delicious and portions were generous. Our server was really friendly and helpful with suggestions. Definitely will be visiting again 😀
Excellent food, and friendly and very helpful staff. We had take-out, with Lamb Roganjosh, Chicken Jalfarezi and Palak Mushroom, and they were all first-class.
I've been going to Green Chili at Crowfoot for many years, for both dine-in and take-out, and for a few years I felt that the food quality had dropped off. However, this most recent meal was as good as it ever was, and possibly even better.
Ordered from skip and this was my first time trying this place. I heard great things from a friend and they were right. The food is delicious. I love trying different Indian places and this is one of my favorites and definitely ranks up there for best Butter Chicken. Kind of sad that an order of Na'an bread is only 2 pieces but that's pretty common everywhere so I'm glad I got 2 orders. For the price you really cant go wrong considering the portions of rice and sauces are generous. Will definitely be ordering from here again.
