Between the construction, disorganization and the amount of closed Retail stores let t not forget the car dealership and the windshield replacement taking over the entire backside of the mall parking. There is nothing pleasant, enjoyable nothing even tolerable about Northland Village. It's been 3-4 years now that the parking lot has been under construction, and it's still not even close to being done. Close the whole thing down, flatten the entire building and hire new construction professionals to rebuild it.

The shopping complex is under renovation so access to some areas has been blocked. Nevertheless, they still have lots of stores on-site that are open. The Winners Store has got lots of varieties- Clothing, shoes, personal wear, decorations, household items, snacks, and drinks.

Was a great mall but many stores have closed and the attached Walmart blocked off the mall access door and replaced it with a wall for some reason.

This place one’s was pretty alright. I spent many hours killing time here sometimes with my now ex husband where we would frequent Cora, Best Buy or Walmart. It’s filled with positive memories and now the mall is empty soon to be redeveloped.

It is closed. You cannot go inside. Especially when you want to go to Best Buy, you have to go from outside.

Hazards of being a Google Local Guide. My Calgary bud's girlfriend lives in the Dalhousie neighborhood, and we went there to pick her up and go to Walmart and Boston Pizza. Walmart is a Northland Village anchor store. While at Walmart, there was an announcement that the mall was closing at 7pm while the Walmart was open until 11. Those exits into the mall would be closed off. We were done at Walmart and got curious so went through the mall space to exit to the parking. The girlfriend Angie said the place was a failed mall and to be demolished. This stood to reason with the early closing as we saw shuttered stores, bleak outdated decor, and near zero foot traffic.
Then in the parking lot, a rent-a-cop on a bicycle said photos were not allowed as I snapped one of the exterior outside and that I must delete it from my phone. The large public place could be photographed outside from even a km. away so this was ridiculous. I ignored him, but my Calgary buds gathered and told him to f--k off and not mess with their California guest. Pretty amusing.
When we'd previously gone to CrossIron Mills, I took and later posted tons of photos and a review without hassle. In response to my postings, CrossIron penned, "We’re glad you had a great time shopping with us James! Thanks for your feedback!" which is in stark contrast to Northland Village.

If you're looking for the best mall for casual mall-walking, this is it -- especially for those with strollers and walkers. Parking and walkability are great, the play place isn't silly busy like many others, its serene and calm and has loads of natural lighting and open spaced, and the store owners and staff are always happy to have a conversation. Some really cool small and family businesses have popped up thanks to changing tenancy and upcoming proposed renovations (dates being thrown around for that aren't until 2018!)

There's only the big box stuff left open, all the small shops are gone. They are renovating it all and it looks like it will be one giant parking lot/strip mall.
