Great 1st Experience! Would love to come back! Probably would eat here all the time if I lived nearby.
-Deluxe pho. Broth was light but very flavorful. Noodles were perfectly cooked al dente. Got peanut sate sauce on the side--very tasty.
-Spring rolls were fine. Just your standard spring roll.
No complaints about service or atmosphere. Bathrooms were clean.
They always deliver on flavour! The owner is kind and polite and before they joined skip the dishes she used to hand deliver our order to us as we lived relatively close. They have excellent subs and the chicken sate is spicy and delicious.
While we’ve been having a pretty mild cold season in the scheme of things, some nights there is still quite the bite in the wind so a lady needs some pho in her belly. En route to the Thorncliffe Greenview Community Centre Christmas Market awhile back, we stopped in at Lac Viet for some Vietnamese love.
Had the pork chop rice yesterday and they made it just right, pretty good pork marination, the rice was slightly soggy and the shredded pork was a little off texture. Over all pretty good experience, I wished their portions were a bit bigger. But the price was just right.
There was a mix up with my pick up order. I was quite disappointed when I opened the bag at home. I phoned the restaurant and they immediately went out of their way to fix the mistake as soon as possible. I was very impressed with the customer service! Thank you.
Some of the better Vietnamise food we have found. We come back regularly now.
Favourites include the sate chicken rice noodle soup.

Great Pho! Serving sizes are good and the ingredients are always fresh. Full of flavor. We found the salad rolls a bit lacking in flavor though. But loved the deep fried pork dumplings! Beef short rib had great flavor but the serving size was small. The serving staff is always really friendly - has a family feel. Very clean and great simple decore. Overall our best choice in the area and we get take out at least once a month
The 1st time I came here was not very impressed but am I very glade I decided to give it another try the spicy bun soup is fantastic so much flavor & is very close too me which is nice too. If your in the area give it a try.

I was very surprised by the Beddington area - lots of pubs, a few fast food places, but not much in between. We almost stopped at an A&W because we needed something quick when D spotted this little vietnamese place. The idea of eating something quick, fresh, and flavourful was more appealing than the fast food option and we did not have time for a full sitdown pub experience.
We went in and got a seat at a nice little booth in the corner then poured through the menu, settling on a couple of bowls of #41 - Grilled Lemongrass Chicken with Vermicelli and Spring Roll.
I've never had a vermicelli bowl where the noodles were so freshly cooked that they were still warm. It was perfect! The salad was fresh with a very light dressing, and the spring rolls were hot and crispy. The sad part was the chicken - barely grilled, no lemongrass flavour, and not much of it anyway. Everything else was delicious right down to the fantastic hoisin sauce, but they definitely need to up the lemongrass and put some more chicken in that bowl.
The ratio was 50% noodles (decent and tasty) / 40% salad / 7% spring roll / 3% chicken.
If they can fix the chicken they'd be the best vietnamese place we've tried so far!!
Great service. My coworkers and I love coming here for lunch, the service is great and the food comes quick enough to be able to eat and get back to work within the hour. I have tried many dishes here and have enjoyed them all.. the bubble tea hits the spot also. No disappointments here!
Always a tasty treat!. I've eaten at Lac Viet many many many times since they opened last year, and ate there again last night so I figured I should say a nice thing or two about them. Their food is really great, and I especially love that they have a decent selection of vegetarian options (I *think* somewhere around 8 options) . I ordered the spicy veggies and tofu on vermicelli, spring rolls, and vegetable roll, and it was all very delicious and fresh. Unlike many other Vietnamese restaurants whose vegetable & spring rolls are made simply sans meat, these ones actually have large pieces of tofu in them. Also, their service is always really great-- staff is friendly and helpful, and their food comes out pretty quickly.
Food is great and service is very friendly .....my go to for Vietnamese in my neighbourhood !
Lovely place!. I first went to Lac Viet today for lunch. I had ordered the Charbroiled Pork Vermicelli with Pork Spring Rolls and we had the Chicken Salad Rolls to start. Both were exquisite! I usually order the Satay Beef Salad Rolls, however, they did not have them so I went for the chicken. I was not disappointed! They were delicious and I definitely will be going back, especially for those!
The Vermicelli was so tasty! The pork had a ton of flavor and was truly satisfying. The prices were good and you got a great amount of food for what you pay. All of the staff were so welcoming and friendly. They made it a great experience. This will be my new go-to Vietnamese restaurant!
Pho sate is incredible so peanut-y with chunks of peanut in it as well. Delicious ! Different then most pho places. Very impressive. Salad rolls were good as well.
I,ve been to this restauraunt twice now and both times its been awesome the food is incredible ,service is very good its fast and very friendly food is hot and price is very good ,I would recomend this place to everyone

This was one of the BEST Vietnamese places over ever ordered from. I ordered take out, and I came back about 10 minutes later to see if it was ready. They were just finishing it up, and while I was waiting, they offered me a glass of water and were extremely polite and sweet people. When I got home, I put my pho together and let me just say, it was the best pho I have ever had. I ordered the rare beef sate, and ive only gotten that soup from a few other places, its my favorite soup and ive never had it perfect like this. Very very happy with the food and friendly service!
Great restaurant, great food. As we entered Lac Viet restaurant's door on Nov 18th evening, there was a customer just leaving and we met at the door. His face was so cheerful and he said: Fantastic food.
So we were enthusiastic to see how fantastic the food is. I ordered #30 (special vermicelli noodle) and my husband ordered # 12d( medium rare & beef balls). The service was great. The food was fantastic as what the man said. The bowl of the noodle soup looked small but there was enough food to eat that we didn't have to waste. We love the food here and will definitely come back.

Ordered take out from here about 5 days after they opened, as I live just down the street. Fantastic food, super fresh. They even made an effort and are able to do gluten free for my wife. Definitely will order again.
