Review Cora Breakfast And Lunch - Calgary

Worst service we got. We asked no mushroom still she added mushrooms in our dish and when we changed dish she took 30 min for the new one. She didn’t ask anything just took the order, give a drink and food, and directly come with bill. We noticed all table has a water and she didn’t give us. What you expect after worst service?? After we complied host server about this seen and other server just told me that yaa she is busy that’s why 😂 really bro ? You don’t meant to sorry or anything?? We spend our 70$ here not for this kind of sickly things. No service no tip. And don’t become resist. This one star for the food. You guys can go to eat the food but doesn’t expect service from them.

It was great to be back here after more than a year because of the pandemic. Food was fantastic as always, huge portion and the service was fast. Servers was very accommodating and friendly. Particularly if I'm not mistaken Natalie and Danielle. Definitely will be back again.

Being able to get together was a great morning, and to have awesome breakfast choices, amazing! From the smoothie of the day to the beautifully crafted breakfast dishes, everything was fresh, cooked to perfection and delicious. Will be going again.

Dined in. Ordered the 10 star egg skillet. Tasted fine. But for the fruits - the kiwi was completely unripe. I would prefer going to Denny's for skillets because their portion sizes are bigger at a lower price. At this price point I would go to more specialty breakfast places like Monki's or OEB. Visited on a busy Sunday but was seated pretty quickly. There is some wait time and it was unclear who I was tipping since so many people came by to help. Overall experience wasn't bad though!

The only thing good Is the wrap! Crazy how they charge 7 dollars for a small smoothie and 4 dollars for English cream and you on receive less than half of the container of cream like thats insane and on top of it the fruits you get aren't even fresh like I will never order from here again your way to over priced for the low quality food you get.

I had an amazing meal with good service. Also super clean areas everywhere . Thanks cora manager and staff !!

This is literally the perfect breakfast restaurant, it has everything. It has everything from healthier/lighter options like smoothies and smaller meals to heavier/more decadent ones like pancakes (great variety) and egg/sausage/bacon dishes. I had the egg white and goat cheese omelette with turkey sausage and it was the best. Any place with turkey sausage is such a win! The staff was very nice and helpful. Wonderful place!

Decided to stop in at Cora’s Sunridge mall. Best decision ever. I was so please with the warm welcome I received. My waitress was excellent, very friendly and attentive. I didn’t feel rushed to order. I enjoy a good eggs Benedict, and decided to have that. It looked good on the menu. I have had many eggs Benedict through out my years, but have never had one done so perfect. I asked for poached soft and was not disappointed. The presentation of the plate was very appealing and my eggs where exactly as I wanted. Thank you to all the staff for making my visit a memorable one. See you all again soon. Laura

First time ever and it couldn’t have been any better! Our server was absolutely incredible. It being our first time it took us quite a while to decide what to get, our server was very patient and extremely helpful. The food was perfection and I couldn’t be happier. Was a wonderful experience and a great place to dine with two young kids. Will definitely be back.

I am addicted to Cora's! The food is always excellent and the service great. I work 12 hour shifts on weekends with no access to food - I often order Cora's from Skip the Dishes and it's always great!

Great food. Kids love the fruit.

For a business advertising as a breakfast specialist... to say I was disappointed would put it mildly. This “breakfast spot” uses pre-packaged hollandaise, and it, is, disgusting. The staff was kind enough to remove the item from my bill. Avoid, at all costs. Denny’s and Humpty’s are literally better choices, as gross as that sounds.

**Almost forgot to add: They do give you a small forest of fruit which is nice, but the eggs were over-cooked, and the super-greasy, under-seasoned potatoes, were underdone.

Just average chain food here. Dramatically better Calgary options available (OEB for example). Another example of a restaurant whose rating bears NO relation to the food and service.

Awesome breakfast! Freshest fruit! the eggs Bene pretty good! Would come back! Also great service! But sometimes it's a little busy, I love the franchise!

Went to sunridge location. Nice and dead for a Friday morning, it's usually packed on the weekend so best to avoid it if you are willing to wait. Service was quick. The food was nice was good you can't really comparing when it comes to these franchise
breakfast places

They are obviously catering to the mom on an outing crowd here. I felt like I was sitting in a daycare centre. The walls are covered in cartoon food, and there were enough kids to satisfy 10 grandmas. I was a late addition to the table, so my friends had already finished their meal. I was served promptly and my French toast and sausages came out quickly. I felt like there was something off with the maple syrup, but maybe my taste buds were off. The waitress forgot to bring me my cutlery, but other than that, no problems. Average price, average restaurant, I also don't get the hype. Wouldn't go out of my way to go back, but wouldn't avoid it either.

I don't get the hype. It's Denny's, with a lot of fresh fruit. I do like the fruit, and the presentation, but it's all packaged food. Powdered hollandaise (which made my partner ill), and the toast is Wonder Bread!? I would never buy that for my home, why would I go to a restaurant that serves it? Lots of cheese, bacon, pancakes (I assume from powdered mix), whipped cream, and other fatty fare. You know the hollandaise is fake when you can order a side gravy boat of it! It's a typical mass market diner. There are so many breakfast places in this city serving well-made local foods that are healthy, why are people lining up for this place? Ok, it's cheap and you get a lot of food, and they do poach my eggs just right (really bland supermarket eggs). The chief selling point is the fruit, and they do give you a lot if it and it is fresh and looks very nice on the plate. This does make it a step up from Denny's, IHOP, and Ricky's, but I'd much rather go to OEB, Diner Deluxe (if they are having a good day), The Carmichael, etc. If you like standard diner breakfasts, you may really like this place, but do not go if you are looking for a high quality breakfast.

Located in Sunridge Mall, this is a popular joint especially during brunch hours on weekends. I remember waiting up to 1 hour to get a table because my friends were too stubborn to change locations, but it did give us time to catch up outside the restaurant. The key is to wake up early on the weekend and come early for breakfast. Usually around 9am, there are few tables available.
Anyways, I haven't been to Cora in a long time, like maybe a year ago. Apparently, they have changed their menu and added more items. I was surprise because for the longest time they didn't. There are only two things I always get at Cora, the benny's or the Surprise. This time, it took me a while to peruse the menu since there are more stuff. On the menu, there is also an option for a smaller portion which is a good idea so people don't waste food.

I've been to this location before but I will never again return here for breakfast or lunch. The utensils were dirty. There was a hair in my food. I just didn't feel like eating anymore and left. Will definitely not be back here.

love the food .very well displayed on plate .plates hot nice servers .Only thing is that you feel like sardines in there.you dont have room between the tables to sit comfortable unless your 124 lbs. When we went to the table .we had to go sideways to get to our sit.We also notices that when the meal was brought to else .customers that we leaving d to wait ,because there wasnt enough room to get around the waitress

The place is really good for breakfast. Lots fruits and big portion. Love their lunch special, good deal and really tasty. A good place to go during weekend breakfast.

I love going to Cora but it sucks that their hours are so early so it's hard to find days to go. The servings are always way more than I can finish, and they always have beautifully decorated fruit to accompany your dish. One complaint I would have is that the fruit never seems fresh to me. The pineapple especially, always seems dry. But overall, wonderful service and wonderful food.

The new menu has lots to choose from. Like that there is a turkey sausage alternative for those who want it. Always fast, fresh and friendly! The Sunridge location is nice and convenient.

Waited so long here for a seat..... They said they called my name but they wrote it down wrong....... Service is terrible. Didn't even end up going in for food because wait was too long..... No one apologized.... Not returning

Breakfast was pretty good and the place was very clean. Really big portions so be prepared to eat a lot. The options were pretty generic American breakfasts. Price was a little on the high side for what they offered.

Waiting for what?. Wednesday arrived at 11:50 - just before the 'rush'. Had to wait 10 minutes for a table, even though there were many empty tables. Server showed up 10 minutes later. Beverages arrived 10 minutes after that. In all, waited 40 minutes for our food and there were only 2 of us. Now we know why there were still so many empty tables - don't go there for a work-lunch..... you will be late getting back to the office! Food was ok - nothing special. The dessert came with one of the meals - store bought 2-bite brownies. The bill came quickly. Won't go back.

Bad set up. Long line up. Should have a better system for seating people. There should be a sign for people to be considerate to other patrons. This is not a hang out place to chat for a long time.We should take a lesson from the Europeans. We are bunch of spoiled brats. Food is good i admit.

Awesome food, awesome service, huge portions, very friendly. I would highly recommend this Cora!

Today I had a great brunch! Although it takes forever to be seated, I'm happy that my family had a great experience. The fruit tasted a little like canned fruit (even though its not obviously), and the bacon was a little too well done, but a big thanks to the best service we have ever had! A funny and efficient server named Mellissa. I would highly recommend her as you will have a great laugh and a memorable visit to Cora's. We will be back.

Mediocre. Beatiful presentation, good prices and very clean and professional. Quality was unfortunately a bit lacking. Some fruit was obviously from frozen, and the bacon was underwhelming. An average breakfast spot to be certain.

I like Cora's because of the fruit -- it's a good place to take the kid. But the service is BRUTAL. Everytime we come there's a line up a mile long and the place is full of empty, unset tables. The hostesses are just rude. Every time, same story. We finally just stopped going.
Terrible. They said a 15 minute wait and it was 25. Waited another 10 for our drinks to be ordered. Cream curdled in the coffee, $3.75 for a tiny orange juice. The Eggs Benny was ok but the potatoes tasted like they had been cooked in leftover grease from a few days ago. The bacon tasted like the kind that is pre-cooked and heated in the microwave. Never again. For $35 for two people, there are much better spots to get breakfast.

Really nice restaurant, slow to get our food and i also can't figure out what up with the fruit it tastes like you spray it with icing sugar or something, i took my fruit home with me yesterday and the apples are still pure white whats up with that !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good but Totally Mediocre. Went there for Sunday brunch yesterday and it was incredibly busy. My friend and I almost left, but then we didn't know where else to go nearby, so we waited and got a spot within 20 minutes, which wasn't bad.

The food selection is fairly stereotypical brunch fare. It lacks creativity and variety. The coffee was meh. The food was good, but not all that exciting. The service was good, but very stereotypical chain environment where the servers lack that unique human-element. They all wear uniforms, they don't act interesting. They were nice.

All in all, it's not a bad price for brunch ($15 for coffee and meal). But why not check out something local with character and variety instead of eating up this lame mediocre chain restaurant quality?

Sunridge Cora's Jan 2013. I took my daughters to Cora's for a late breakfast on a Thursday. We had a young lady seat us and then a young man was our server. That was the last time we saw anyone until another wait staff brought us our food. No one, and I mean no one would even acknowledge us. Our original server ignored us until it was time for us to stand up and put our coats on and head to the door that he miraculously showed up with our bill. I have never and I mean never left without some sort of tip left but this time, not a chance. The worst service ever that even my 10 and 12 year old commented on. Disgraceful.
EatOutAlot
Consistent. Dont go as much as i used to because of the line ups but i will go back
Lucx
Not worth the wait. There is no waiting room in the lobby. If it's busy, staff will unceremoniously usher you into the access hallway in the mall. It's a crummy setup and not a great first impression. The food is decent, but the service was minimal and unfriendly. Food was slow to come even as the crowds diminished. It might be passable in the middle of the afternoon when there's no waiting time, but the food is absolutely not worth an hour long wait.

There is a reason we frequent Cora. The food is consistent. The service is great. Totally worth the wait! We even went for breakfast at 6 am one Saturday morning because we were up early and it was as excellent as when it is chaotic and crazy-busy! We have tried a variety of menu items and have yet to be disappointed! My favorite so far is the Eggs Benedict. Best I've ever had!
Oster
Food is more healthier then the average breakfast place. Hence why the price is a tad higher but worth the cost. The wait times are long for a good reason. People just LOVE it at Cora's.

1 hour wait when they tell you 25 minutes? Hogwash.

Strawberry!. I love strawberries. LOVE EM! So when browsing through Cora's menu I came across the strawberry waffle, I was determined to try it. Finally I had the opportunity to chow down on this delectable breakfast. The waffle is fluffy on the inside while still crunchy on the outside. The custard is not too sweet, but good enough to replace any form of syrup. And the strawberries were amazing. All were ripe and yummy and I was in heaven. Great place.

My favorite place to go for breakfast!! It's great if you're looking for something healthier then bacon and eggs! I love the daily fruit smoothie!

The worse place ever! I went there with a friend on a wednesday, they weren't even busy But I was waiting there for 5 mins to be seated and there was absolutely no line, after we been seated, I was waiting there for 30 mins and we didn't even get served, no one came to us or anything! This is by far the worse costumer service I seen at any restaurant.

Really Enjoyed It. I stopped by here for some breakfast before going to work and was quite happy I came. I enjoyed the atmosphere, the prices were reasonable, and I was impressed with the fact they gave me a huge amount of fresh, not canned, fruit with my meal which, on top of it, had been carved into a unique centrepiece on my plate. The selection on the menu was varied and everything looked appetizing. Plenty of options for all kinds of eaters. The food was good, service was prompt, and my waitress was super friendly and cheerful. My only complaints were that I found my drink and food were luke-warm at best rather than piping hot, and the host who came by my table seemed like he was in a sour mood. I definately plan on returning again, though, and trying out some of their other fare. This seems like the kind of place that could easily become a stand-by for breakfasts out. I just really hope next time my food comes hot!

Definitely a detour from the ordinary breakfast fare. The food is beautifully presented with an array of carved fruit. There is more than enough food. It is on the expensive side, so be prepared to spend a little more - but worth the visit.

...we decided to ate at cora in sunridge mall. Cora is a chain store serving breakfast meals and lunch...has this lively cozy feeling inside, its pretty festive because of the interior... the food was well presented, has good serving for the price and it comes with a slice of fresh orange too.

We were so impressed with all the fresh fruit that came with almost every meal, it was breakfast heaven.
