First time going yesterday and will definitely be back. I honestly don't remember the name of the pizza I had Formagio something or other, and while it was delicious my friends Proschuto (?sp) and Apple pizza was to die for. Never would have thought to add apple to pizza. Our waiter was very knowledgable, attentive and friendly. Definitely would recommend
A fabulous place - amazing food, service and location. A special thank you to Alex. You were great!
Favorite place for pizza!! We always have the margharetta pizza and ceaser salad and its never failed to be anything short of amazing!!!!!!!
We had a wonderful evening spending time with new friends.. I'm visiting from Louisiana. Atmosphere, staff and food was spectacular..
A return stop next visit to Calgary for sure
Combination of good food, great staff starting from when we entered the restaurant, and excellent service! We had a great time!đź‘Ťđź‘Ť
Everything was excellent, nice place, good server, fast service and great tasting good size portion food!!!
Great dough! Top notch cheese & the roasted garlic really elevated the pizza. Definitely not your average mall food nor average mall restaurant (4/5)
Stopped in here for a beer and a snack before going to see a movie and glade we did. Three of us shared a margarita pizza at first glance did not look that appetizing but was so delicious the cheese and the sweet tomatoes only problem was with the pizza crust was soggy and not crispy at all.
Been here a few times and figured it was time to write about it. Their food is consistent and of good quality. The service is always above average. Pricing is fair.
This time my partner and I got several appetizers and a panini. The meatballs were excellent and the sauce superb. Considering the cost, however, an extra meatball or two would be nice. The roasted cauliflower is delicious and I have nothing bad to say about it. The mussels were a little disappointing. The oil and vinegar that they came in was overpowering and masked the taste of the mussel. I got the porchetta panini. It was good but was missing something. Perhaps a balsamic vinegar apple slaw or something tart would help to balance the flavor.
We will be back, as this is one of our favorites in the mall. Though we would never go if we weren't going to the mall already.
Location is good and convenient at least for me. Â Eaten here a few times, and the atmosphere is clean and modern for a pizzeria. Â More of a cocktail or upscale setting where you can attend some private events in their upstairs room.
The food is decent with some great offerings and a patio overlooking Mcleod Trail. Â
I didn't necessarily like that the pizza was thin, and of course as usual the price is a little high. Â Their meatballs are indeed good and the pasta is better than the pizza (despite the name?)
The food is amazing. Love that the apps have a lot of vegetarian options. My favourite is are the beets and cauliflower. Mushroom pizza is to die for!! The service is usually good and they have an amazing selection of beer and wine ! Will definitely be back
We've had nothing but great food and friendly service here. Love the Brussels sprouts and basically every pizza (Margherita, Hawaiian, chorizo, diabolical, etc.). Not much else to say. :)
Great meatballs!! I love everything with their "00" tomato paste. The service was also excellent, we ordered the Linguine Carbonara to share and the kitchen already split the dish into two dishes.
I took my friend here for a birthday dinner on Friday and I was very pleased with the service we received as well the quality and taste of the food. This was only my second visit to this location, but the staff nailed it. We ordered a mushroom dish for an appetizer (the name is escaping me right now), followed by two pizzas and the timing in between courses was excellent! Our drinks came out in an orderly manner and our server was on top of it. Wish I could remember her name because I would definitely mention her in my review. Anyway, looking forward to my next visit.
Definitely love Double Zero Pizza! It's a great stop in after some shopping, and lovely upper level views. Their pizzas are thin crust, made with their 00 flour. We always go for the Polynesian Princess and then make the servers job really annoying by asking to add avocado, even though it's not on the menu! Also, don't miss out on trying their chili oil. So delicious! I often opt for one of their salads - I have had the beet salad and the Caprese salad with added chicken and avocado. They charge a flat fee of $1.00 per person for unlimited still or sparkling water. Their lattes are a great way to finish off the meal, and come in a giant cup. I always ask for single shot espresso and it is perfect. Overall a favorite!
Went here on a double date with our friends at their suggestion. The layout of the restaurant is nice, I have never sat out on the balcony, but it looks like it would be nice. They have a good wine selection and the staff are helpful with suggestions or any questions you might have. I really am surprised I liked it as much as I did since I am not a pizza person, for whatever reason it just isn't appealing to me. But the pizza here was very good, crust wasn't too thick or thin and wasn't rock hard either. Toppings were fresh and sauce was saucy. Have been meaning to go back here, but they are just a bit far from where we live.
This is not my style of pizza place. I like the more traditional old school pizza places with standard ingredients. A margarita pizza is not a pizza - it's the start of a pizza. And, white sauce pizza - not sure what to classify that as. In any case, with vegetarian guests we ended up with a white sauce mushroom pizza and tried 3 different cocktails from the menu. We all loved our server who entertained and informed and provided his honest appraisal of the various choices. I wasn't a particular fan of any of the three cocktails that we tried - a lemonaid, a mead-based mojito and some other red concoction, but at least they were different, and the waiter did warn us on the mojito. My guests enjoyed the cocktails more than I did. The pizza was thin crust, properly cooked and promptly served. The restaurant had an expanse of windows making it feel bright and airy. In total, a pleasant experience particularly considering it was at the Chinook Mall.
So happy there's finally another option for non fast food in chinook! Cute decor and decent pizza... double zero is a great way to end a full day of shopping and if you plan it right you can time it for happy hour which makes the prices much more reasonable... I wouldn't necessarily venture my way to chinook just for the food but definitely a must try if you are already out and about shopping.
One of my absolute favourite places for pizza. The dough is amazing and I can't get over the flavours. Sausage is my favourite, and desert is so good the chocolate tarte is to die for highly recommend!
I recommend trying the panini sandwiches over the pizza. I've always found their pizza base to be too dry, and overall never filling enough.
Great atmosphere, especially in the mall! If you get there for happy hour you get to try a bunch of the appetizers(on a smaller scale, of course) for cheap, as well as prosecco, wine, and beer on special! Pizzas came quickly and were hot and delicious, and staff attempted to accommodate my friend's gluten-free/dairy-free requests. All in all, make sure you have a reservation if it's during peak hours(we were there at 5PM on a Friday and it was empty, but by 6PM it was packed and people were waiting).
Delicious food and great decor - an absolutely adorable place with quick service and friendly staff. The prices can be a little steep but it was quite worth it!
My husband took me for pizza and wine for lunch on my birthday last week. I was not expecting much but the pizza was amazing. We slightly modified a vegetarian pizza and made it vegan and they loaded it with arugula and artichokes it was so healthy and so super good. The wine was also excellent even though it was over priced.
My manager brought the who department to Double Zero for our Christmas dinner. I must say - the cheese on the pizza is very fresh. Must try - Margarita pizza, prosciutto with apple, mushroom, and cheese. My favorite would have to be the Margarita pizza. The spicy pepperoni is not extremely spicy. The appetizers are okay, in my opinion. We had a cheese platter, a meat platter, and a plate of bread. The cheese platter came with pickled vegetables, and the meat platter consisted of an assortment of Italian meats thinly sliced. The service is very quick, but the food took approximately 15 minutes after the appetizers to come out.
In general - the good: fast service, free sparkling water, and good food
The bad: pizzas were thinner than I thought they would be, but they still tasted good.
I like this place a lot. My favourites are the mushroom pizza and the beet salad. I've been here 5 times and I had good service each time. Some of their pizza isn't that great though, I went with a friend and he got one (i forget which one!) and it wasn't very tasty. But I've tried a few other things on the menu and i've liked all of them. Definitely one of my favourite spots for pizza
Double Zero is a local favourite, and with good reason. From the fresh dough that the restaurant has been named after, to the variety of combinations available, make this pizzeria a good option for friends and dates alike. I ordered the confit chicken, as well as the bacon and egg, and would easily recommend either of them. Served Neapolitan style on a thin bed of crust, the taste of the toppings are emphasized and highlighted with each bite. The egg was a perfect compliment to the pieces of bacon, and the pulled chicken was incredibly tender. Some pieces of feedback for the restaurant would be that I personally found the dough to be too dry after a certain point, and that the egg served sunny side up would have had more of a visual impact, and even two eggs might have made a difference, as some of the pieces received little to no egg on their part. Overall a great place to end a shopping day, make sure to get reservations though!
I have a mixed review for double zero. First time i was here it was super delicious, excellent service (not super busy in the afternoon)
Second time the most recent it was in the evening and the service was slow and not attentive. Our pizza was horrible. the crust and dough was soggy ughhhh. We waited at least 40 min for our food and to get soggy pizza that was disappointing.Â
The first time the pizza was spot on and very tasty. I'm not going to write it off and not come back, but i hope it will be more pleasant next time.

We really love going to 00 Chinook. The pizza is delicious and FAST plus I can bring my vegan daughter and she's happy too! We had a great lunch here recently and got to watch some Tennis on the large TV's above the bar.Â
I should return to try the other items on the menu...but I seriously just order pizza every time!
I love it here. They have really high ceiling and decorated very nicely. They have one of the best vongole I've had. and their pizza is really good! I wouldnt get the steak though. This place is comparable to cibo but I like this place much better.
Super yummy and really cool atmosphere. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. I had the pims cup and it was super refreshing. The calamari is superb. And we shared the mushroom pizza which was heavenly. All in all an amazing time and would definitely go back.
As I'm writing this review, this is my 3rd visit, and I am still loving it. The pizzas are their main forte for visiting (obviously..lol) is amazing, thin crust, tastes freshly made. I highly recommend ordering Polynesian princess (see mah pictures) as it resembles me of Hawaiian pizzas, but more upscale? If you get what I mean? My second recommendation would be for the cheese lovers, the Formaggio Finale, it is so tasty, gooey with sweetness into it.
As for the pasta section, I recommend the linguine vongole. The taste is just right, and the double smoked bacon sold me.
As for appetizers, I always go for calamari, the portion size is big and it has unique ingredients that I've never seen yet, like capers (sour and a bit salty, like olives but milder for me).
I would have to come back again just for desert as I end up being full before I take a look at the desert menu.
Overall, the atmosphere is definitely my type as it has a contemporary look with fusions of vintage items from the days of yore. I need to come back again when I crave for pizza once again.
Pleasant place for dinner, just a little loud. I went to Double Zero and had a generally pleasant experience, the biggest drawback was that it is crowded and quite noisy. The meatball appetizer was a little bland, more seasoning was needed. The pizza was very nice but a little salty. Overall it was nice as a casual dining experience.
Great Food & Friendly Staff. I read that Double Zero recently won "best pizza" in an online contest. Well deserved! The pizzas here are really good. A single is just enough to fill you up. It's even better to split 3 pizzas among a group of 4. Servers are polite and hit all the points. And the cutlery and glasses are spotless, a big bonus with me.
Yummy Food & Great Service. Great ambiance & atmosphere. Four of us shared the calamari and arancini, the risotto balls were my favourite dish. A minor mistake with our appetizers, but the bill was adjusted and the server & manager were great. The pizza was delicious and surprisingly the salmon entree was very good.
A great first experience. We will definitely return.
Good, but not as good as Famoso.. Double Zero was good. Not great, but good. The service was good, nothing phenomenal, but good. We ordered the caprese salad and caesar salad to share amongst the five of us, and a margarita pizza and a chorizo salami pizza. I didn't try the caprese salad, but I had the caesar and found it to be just okay. The margarita pizza was quite bland, however the salami pizza was very good. All in all, i find Famoso to have a better selection for a better price, better flavour, and better experience over all.
Delicious! We started with the arancini and calamari. Arancini was awesome with whatever sauce they put on it. Calamari was good but I do prefer my calamri dry and crispy, they put a sauce on it that made it soggy. We then ordered the mushroom pizza, mortodella pizza and the polynesian princess. All three pizzas were fantastic and I am not a thin crust lover. I will definitely be back as the food was great and not overpriced as I thought it may be.
I liked it because I didn't hate it.. I wish Urbanspoon had a "neutral option" because that what I would give Double 00.
I sat down for a good 10 mins before I had to wave someone down and asked to be served. When I did finally get served I was served more attentively.
I really like liked the beer selection. I would totally consider going there again during happy hour (M-F 3-6pm) to try some more of the beer. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they served Tree Brewing and Village.
Let's get to the pizza. I ordered the Pepperoni and Hawaiian for the family. Selection was really small, which was terribly disappointing and I ended with the most uninspiring choices ever (to be fair, I had kids with me). The pizzas came out quick and fresh. It tasted great so we really enjoyed it. The only negative was the price. I found it too expensive for what it was, but I also get that I was paying for the experience and their decor. The decor is great in there for sure. The pizza wasn't better than Famoso's by any stretch so I would probably go to Famoso if I wanted neapolitan style pizza.
Excellant service staff!. Accidentally threw something important in the garbage and Ian, in the kitchen, went above and beyond digging through the trash to find it. Greatly appreciated :)
Pizza was excellant as well. And, despite ordering the wrong Panini, it was amazing as well
Nice!. Nice staff, nice decor and great food!
Hubby and I always share the caesar salad and the antipasto plate. Both are the best in town. We like their selection of beer.
I'm not a fan of Neopolitan style pizza and prefer to have mine with tomatoe sauce.
Nice spot for a quick meal. My husband and I went to Double Zero after seeing a movie at Chinook. We were there on a Saturday evening after 7pm, no reservation and we got right in. It was busy, but not terrible. Loved the DĂ©cor and nice big windows. We ordered a Caesar salad(no anchovies) for sharing and the Chorizo salami pizza. Both were fantastic! The Caesar salad came out within about 5 minutes of ordering! And the pizza came right when we were ready for it. Our waitress was busy, but she always came back to our table to check on us.
I would definitely go again as I want to try more of their pizza's.
Lovely waitstaff and great food!! Recomend this joint to anyone! Love that for the price of panago's take out u can get Gourmet pizzas and great service. The gorgeous restaurant gives a very chic but comfortable setting to any event! Kid friendly but not a separate menu for them.
An oasis in Chinook. Great food, helpful staff, tasty beers, AND A PATIO.
Great food, great service, yummy drinks. Love double zero!! Hope to see more pop up around town
Risotto balls are to die for!
My boyfriend and I went there for dinner a week or so ago. Our server was very attentive, and prompt. We ordered the chicken pizza with artichokes, and the pizza with pistachios on it(forgot the name of it). Anyways, both were fantastic, and they came out really fast too. We'll definitely be making a trip back!
Tasty Pizza & Calamari. We had just finished seeing the movie "Chef" and wanted a bite. We were ready for some good food! Four of us sat upstairs and enjoyed the view. We sipped our Malbec wine and the guys enjoyed their beers. Friendly service and waitress shared her favorites. The thin crust Neapolitian ham and pineapple pizzas (chili flakes are hot if you order. We had one with and without) were tasty and the calamari with tomato sauce was delicious. The bill is a little confusing with the GST (relates to parties of more than 8 - yet included for those with less than 8. Waitress agreed she wished it was done differently) We all enjoyed the evening and would come back.
Great Pizza!. My girlfriend and I had awesome knowledgable service. Her recommended pizza and shared salad were so good. I would go back and order the same! The atmosphere is fun and upbeat. It's great having a new place to eat!
Great Food. Mediocre Service.. A friend and I were first timers at your Chinook location today for lunch.
We sat at the wood and ordered two glasses of wine to start, my friend had a glass of Pinto Noir and I had the Riesling.
Just to make a point of product-knowledge (or non product-knowledge), the bartender informed me that the Riesling was not a sweet wine, however, just in case I had a taste anyway. Indeed it WAS a very sweet wine, which thankfully I throughly enjoyed.
Next we had the Roasted Cauliflower dish - Amazing. Full of flavour and the perfect blend of textures.
Finally we had the Spinach & Potato Pizza. Again, a great choice. Especially with the egg !
We really enjoyed the food. 100% enjoyed it.
What I did not enjoy was the service we received, as I am sure our tip reflected that to those who were behind the bar.
Nothing was recommended to us, we were never once quality checked or asked if we needed anything. I don't think the bartender spoke to us other than to take our food and beverage order.
Nor did she even ask us if we wanted our bill before she set it down in front of us.
We really enjoy sitting at the wood, however, it seemed most behind it, weren't really sure where they needed to be when they needed to be there.
My expectations were met as far as food quality and the atmosphere of the room, beautiful spot.
On the other hand, the service does needs some work.
EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!. I went to double zero with my bf this evening.
Personally, I didn't expect much before I experience this restaurant.
Nice/modern design interior.
Our server was very friendly and nice too. I don't remember her name but her smile when she was serving us.
Pizza was very delicious too. I didn't have to drink so much water after I had a meal there. Which means it was less MSG taste/sodium as well.
I felt great even after the meal.
PERFECT LOCATION/NICE STAFF/GOOD FOOD.
I already told my mom for taking her this place. Well done, double zero!
Tasty, very much like an authentic Italian pizza. Ma and I tried Double Zero a few days ago, and for the most part, enjoyed our dining experience. The restaurant is brand new, quite spacious, with large windows emitting lots of sunlight, which in turn however, eliminated any sense of intimacy. We arrived just before noon mid-week. No line up, no waiting.
Service was pleasant, and the wait staff were attentive. Surprisingly, fizzy water was on offer for a reasonable price, but we felt the price per pizza fairly steep for the portions received. The cheese was sparse, and portion control for my sausage topping was strictly adhered to.This mirrors the authenticity of real Italian pizza, but I admit the Kettles prefer a weightier pizza overall.
Our pizza should have been left in the oven a tad longer as the outer edge had little colour to speak of. Ma felt her pizza was slightly underdone. Mine was fine but I missed the visual of the golden outer ring. We rated our pizzas as 7.5 out of 10. Not particularly memorable, but tasty non-the-less. Ma ordered the calamari as a starter, and simply raved about it. Good sized portion, suitable for two, very tender, lightly crusted, and most flavourful.
For older folk, be aware that you will be challenged by a formidible set of stairs in order to reach the main dining area. I assume there must be an elevator for the physically disadvantaged, so ask upon arrival. I was bumped by a patron at the top of the stairs prior to leaving, and almost took a tumble. The stairway is quite wide, steep, and the first step of the descent a bit awkward without a firm grip on the handrail.
We won't return to Double Zero any time soon. No real reason, except it isn't quite our cup of tea. This is not intended as a negative, but at our age, we just didn't seem to fit in.
Will definitely become a regular!
Our first time there was on the second night open. The staff were very accommodating to get us in in time to see our movie. After a while, we realized we had been waiting a bit long for our food at which point the very nice waiter told us they accidentally burned it (understandable as they were super busy and brand new) so our pizzas were on the house. I thought that was absolutely fantastic and generous of them. The wait was worth it. I had the speck&arugula and my boyfriend had the potato&spinach. Best pizzas I've had in this city - Hands down. The marinara sauce is to die for.

We love arancini so this was a perfect pre-movie bite. Unfortunately, it didn’t stave off hunger for the full 115 minutes of constant food porn. We were definitely ready for pizzas when the movie finished. Of course I wanted to get two pizzas; I knew there was no way we would finish both but left over pizza never lasts too long in our house with three teenagers! Hubby was really happy to order a Chorizo, Roasted Pepper, Goat Cheese, and Niçoise Olive Pizza. We really liked the generosity of toppings on the pizza. The crust was both crispy and chewy with great flavour. I know, because hubby generously let me try a piece!

We started the evening at Double Zero. A fairly new pizza joint, a little more upscale. It is in the swankier part of Chinook mall. It’s menu is not the biggest I’ve ever seen, but we were able to find some great eats. We shared so we could try a bit of everything we ordered. The Caesar salad, calamari and “Pepperoni” pizza, in quotation marks, because it is actually salami. The salad was very good. I liked their dressing a lot. It was served with a fresh anchovy on top, I left that for hubby to eat. The pizza, was pretty standard nothing amazing, but good. The calamari, was absolutely great. My favorite of the three for sure, and possibly one of the better calamari’s I have tried. After dinner we did some shopping, shockingly enough we both found som
