My favourite place. It embraces classic Canadian flavours. I've tried most of the menu. It's a perfect place to watch Calgary Flames games with one of their amazing cocktails and delicious wings. My favourites are the bale house fish and chips, chicken caesar wings, all canadian burger and their salted caramel skillet cookie. It's my favourite pub in Calgary!
We stumbled into Hudsons during lunchtime on a Thursday - tried one of their burgers as well as their steak sandwich which was on special. The food was good - the burger was delicious and the fries were fresh. Service was also good - our waitress was friendly and very helpful. When I'm craving pub food again I'll definitely drop in here!
I stop in here fairly often with friends for a pint, sometimes visit for lunch. Service is always pretty good, the specials can be nice like half price wings during Flames games. Happy hour pint pricing on house beers is great ( the house beers are pretty good breed), but I really don't like when a pint is served that isn't a pint. 16oz is NOT a pint!!! Never has been never will be.
I've like all the food I've tried there except the boneless wings...found them way too salty but the regular wings are great.
I come here every few weeks with my girlfriends and have had decent experiences everytime we have been in. The food is pretty average pub food fair and the service is hit and miss. The deep fried pickles are probably my favorite menu. I just really love pickles though.
Nice pub, good service. It's clean and the food is tasty. Gets a little over crowded with the 18-23yo crowd sometimes which can be a bit rowdy if that's something you would avoid like me. But, most of the time it's a nice quite bar to have a burger and a beer!
Great presentation and awesome Bison Avacado Burger!
Always just a good overall pub.
Good food, nice patio.
Have never had a complaint with them.
Impressive food. Came here after dropping my car off for service in the area.
Bartender greeted me as soon as I walked in. This is a little detail so many other places miss. Just made you want to be there.
I ordered a beer and beef dip. Both were great. The food came out fast and hot to the touch. The perfect temperature.
Service was good and attentive. But I would have gotten one extra drink if I saw her at the right moment.
I don't live in the area but will come back if I happen to be close.
Great service every time. Since moving to crowfoot area 6 months ago we have come to this location about a dozen times. every time we are blown away by the service. They care about their customers here and its really nice to see when other local places (shanks, brewsters) really don't seem to give a crap.
I've been here on a few occasions, but only for drinks. Stopped by for dinner last night and was impressed with the food and the service. Wings came out hot and crispy and my burger was messy but good. This spot has had terrible restaurants and pubs until now.
Packed. This place is usually packed - to the point that the healthfood store put up bars to prevent Hudson's customers from parking! Wing night Wednesday is worth attending with buddies. Plan to go early as the place fills up quickly. (If full, go to Brewsters for the expensive yet tasty Nachos)
Ultimately enjoyable pub. Just went there for lunch today. Luckily, we went early, so we got a table - be warned that most evenings the place is packed to the gills and you'll be lucky to get one seat. The nachos were good, though there wasn't enough cheese (never is). I ordered the fish and chips, which were nicely battered and, having ordered sweet potato fries, came with a variety of dipping sauces. Staff was friendly and courteous and layout is good. Lots of TVs around to keep everyone occupied.
Great specials. But wish they would bring back the staff
Waitresses are awesome! But where are the steak bites?
Enjoyed it. First time visitor there at lunch this week and my overall impression was very positive. We ordered the pizza pan nachos and the pretzel chicken tenders to share. There were only 2 of us and weren't expecting the nachos to be as big as they were (couldn't finish!!) so these are definitely a group sharing dish. Next time I would ask for more cheese and/or toppings because they were a little short on them BUT I prefer my nachos loaded.
The manager came by our table to apologize that the chicken tenders and the nachos weren't served at the same time. Honestly, I didn't even notice because that's not an uncommon thing. The chicken just takes longer to cook and we really didn't wait that long for them nor did we complain. So his acknowledgement of that was really cool and very much appreciated.
The service was good, we didn't wait long for anything, including the bill. The place was very clean and you can tell, properly maintained. I would definitely go back, especially since the manager was so nice about looking after us with our food (which to us wasn't even a problem). That to me shows that they care.
AWESOME!. Such a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
We live about 10 minutes away, but in an area that has limited pubs and the existing ones are absolutely horrible. Used to come to this place when it was another pub, and it was awful. Was very excited to have this show up.
I've been here 3 times so far. Never a bad experience at all. The beer came fast, the pub fare was awesome (wings, sweet potato fries and shrimp) and the manager even came around to see how we were doing and chat. Lots of TVs that show the Flames games, combined with servers that are not all hard on the eyes, makes this place an easy choice.
There are quite a few choice in Crowfoot, and we've been to them all. This is a welcome addition that we'll return to for sure.
