I went there to have lunch on Wednesday afternoon and the steak sandwich special I ordered was perfect. I also ordered charred Shrimp. mmmmm they cooked em how I asked em to be cooked. bonus!

I was with my family in Hudsons CANADA's Pub, purposely for the so-called PAINT Nite activities. I for one, really appreciate the ambiance of the place...it's soooo cool & I intend to recommend it to my friends/associates. The place itself is an ideal one for both informal or formal gathering of ones close Associates (either for the LIONS Club or the PRO Gun Club) to formulate the Club's Activities for the coming year.
HUDSONS is like my second home... love the staff they treat me like family.. as new one come and old ones go.. this PLACE ALWAYS stays the same ... good people.. a few toughies that drink to much..but other then that id never SAY anything bad about hudsons. OK... the dance music is getting to be too much but the ladies are worth it.so i just grin and bare it!! thanks hudsons satff.. ya all know me im sure:)
We visited on vacation and loved it so much we went back the very next day! Food was excellent, waitstaff and management were great, and the bellini was 10/10.

Recently renovated its a great new room, big outdoor murals. the menu has been revamped as well. I stopped in for dinner and had the beef dip. Finally a beef dip that does not scream philly sandwiche. I have to say it was the best beef dip I have had in a very long time. The beef was tender, just the right amount, the bun fantastic and the fries were perfect.
Went in to watch the hockey. It was wing night. Some of the best wings I’ve had. They have really upped their game. Bravo
Been here a few times for drinks and service is always on par. Today my friend and I had lunch and the waitress was pleasant and attentive. The food was quite good and decent portion size and came our quick. All in all it met my expectations.
Great ambience and food was delicious. I have to highlight their new featured wings flavour pesto parmesan, a great combination to please your taste buds. Friendly service, highly recommended!
Awesome beer selection, went on wing night and there wings were very yummy. Great place to watch a Flames game. The staff was friendly but service was very slow, took forever to get my first beer.
The first time I've ever attended a Hudson's was in dec 2013 for a staff party. The appetizers were delicious and hot. The service was friendly and fast. Great first experience at this specific location. Would definitely go back but I'm sure there are closer locations to me then downtown that I'm sure just as good.
It may advertise as pub food but I just had the best steak in Calgary. The chef Bilal is a genius at his creations

Quick and good Lunch options. Can't beat the bang for the buck at this place, and they've been doing there own craft style beers long before trend took the neighborhood by storm.
Hudsons is the beat place to drink downtown! The Holy Puck ale is my new favorite beer! Awesome, friendly staff! (Easy on the eyes too)

Part of the Family. Hudson's downtown is right on my walk home from work, so I like to pop in for a happy hour pint to unwind before heading the rest of the way home. I have to say, I've been treated more like a friend or family member than a customer every time I'm there. I've gotten to know most of the wait staff there, who all make a point of visiting and catching up. I was also very proud of Chanel whom I met on a rough day long ago, and whose cheerful service and dry wit has made me a regular. (Congratulations on your recent promotion, BTW!) Chanel has consistently made that location such a fun and friendly environment.
I don't often eat there, but when I do the food has been reliably good and decently priced. On the rare occasion there has been a problem with anything management has gone above above and beyond to make sure everything is alright.
Everything is "just right" at that place. The beer selection, the menu, the staff...hell, even the music they pipe in seems to suit the mood I'm in. I guess this review is getting a little long, so I'll sign it off with a heartfelt "thank you" for all the staff at Hudson's downtown. Love you guys!

Back Again. Recently went back to Hudsons for Lunch after not eating there for a while. The server was very attentive to my table despite the usual lunch rush that occurs in downtown Calgary. The Steak Sandwich was just as I remembered and, "bang for the buck" the best in Calgary. I will again make Hudsons a regular dining spot.
Great Food, Great Service!. Went for a bite to eat with my daughter tonight. Greeted by a happy staff member. My server "Rusheta" (sp?) was very courteous, outgoing and generally pleasant. She was attentive yet didnt hover. Food was great. I had the "Butterfly Shrimp" appetizer and a Caesar Salad side. Both were very good. My daughter had the "Tossed" Salad which also very good. I would definitely return. Perfect experience in every way. Would go back.
The manager Ben is the BEST manager in the industry I have ever met! I love Hudson's downtown!

Was here on Thursday, our waitress Rayna was awesome. She had 5 or 6 tables, and made sure we always had drinks and did good checks. The manager on duty was awesome, checking with us part way through the meal to make sure everything was ok. The food was fantastic and even tasted good as leftovers. I would recommend this place, we'll definitely back.
Just good times to be had. I would like to make a point, on my wonderful experience I had from the service from the manager “ben” he defiantly made my day, the food was amazing and the music on moday night was absolutely worth hanging out to the end of the evening will be back with friends. Keep up the good work ben.
At Hudson's I always have a great expierence, with the food and exceptional service.The DJ they have plays killer beats and my friends and I enjoy the dancing manager Ben.
Been going to Hudson's for lunch every Friday for almost a year now. They're prices are very good, especially when compared to some of the other bars/restaurants in the area. They always have food and drink specials and I especially love their house brew beers. Servers have always been super friendly as long as I've been going. They can get really busy sometimes for the lunch hour rush but always do their best to get you in and out before you have to back at the office. Always recommended this Hudson's and will continue to do so.
Best Experience In A Downtown Bar. Myself and a few friends visited Hudson's Downtown location last night. We had an absolute blast. Service was perfect timing every time. The crowd was pretty good as well. The manager (Ben P.) was out and about mingling with the crowd and was super friendly which was a new experience for me. I don't usually drink at downtown bars because the service and crowds are quite questionable. I would definitely never hesitate to pay numerous visits. Just to be fair i live in the south and the Hudson's south location is also great..

Amazing! Wonderful atmosphere, staff and food!. Recently we have started going to Hudsons after work for a quick drink or for lunch as it is close to work. Everytime we recieve exceptional service! I love their happy hours specials and daily drink specials . Amazing food amazing staff!..
My confession... Been there 3 times this week! Staff never disappoint! I also like how we get seated and we get service unlike Alot of other places where we actually have to wave someone down.. Like were not existent. Staff and manager on shift (today it was Ben) always coming up and checking up on us. Making sure we are enjoying our food and drinks. It's the little things that count.! Another example is we ordered some nonalcoholic drinks... And time after time the server was aware that our drinks were running low.. And without having to ask she would bring us a refill. That just brightens up our day.
Without a doubt this place has become one of my favorites.

My favorite place on a monday night. Went on sunday night with a girlfriend because we wanted to go someplace quiet, which it was, and got to chat to the super friendly and helpful bartender Adam who recommended great foods and made fantastic drinks. he gave us some "get paid 2 party" industry night $10 coupons, so last night i decided to go back and wow, what a great time. the place was pretty full - not packed, but full, and the age range was 20 - 30. couple of older partiers, but no one awful lol. i went to dance, met a couple of friends and we spent hours having a great time. the bartenders were super easy to get drinks from, the ba's were great at removing empty's from all over, coatcheck kept my jacket nice and safe and overall it was fantastic!
Nice service, good prices and nice meal. We will definitely go again...
This is my favorite place for hangouts in my neighborhood. The line up is long, so be there before 9:30. I love their weekly specials, mmm whiskey BBQ chicken wings!!

The servers and bartenders are always great. It's pub food, but good pub food.
Never had an issue with keeping our reservations or with bouncers as in other reviews. We have reserved for birthdays, stagettes etc.. several times.
I have seen a lot of obnoxious people get removed who deserved it. I appreciate that they don't put up with idiots (male or female) who can't handle their liquor!
If you want a fun night without pretentious servers and patrons, I would recommend you try here!
I came here for the wing challenge on my birthday, liked the fact they had 5$ Rickards, I only ate the wings for the challenge which weren't overly hot in my opinion, didn't try and of the other food but my girl had the fish and chips and she really enjoyed them, and they gave me a 10$ food voucher for my birthday.
Great Neighborhood Pub. I like Hudson's for food drinks, beer, watching sports and happy hour. I confused about all of the negative reviews on here, especially about the food. It seems like a lot of those reviewers go to Hudson's for the nighttime club scene, which is when I avoid it. I live a few blocks away, so for me it's a neighborhood pub, not a Saturday night destination.
They have good food happy hour specials, and I like their boneless wing nights. Also great place to watch sports. I've never had bad food; I like the wings, burgers and appies. On Sundays, their giant nachos are half price, and that's a meal for two.
Great Fish and Chips. I am working in town for the past month have a lunch here a few times.The fish and chips are gret crisp fish seasoned fries excellent. Great service polite and efficent. Also had the champion burger and the ancho chii burger all good .Reccomend to check out gets alittle loud at lunch but hey its a Pub.
Good burgers. Good pub fare here. I have eaten here a few times. Their burgers are really excellent - not the frozen patties - makes a big difference. I have also had the sliders and pulled pork sandwich - again really good. They have their own brands of beer as well. Service is always very attentive and friendly, although I have only been in at lunch and dinner time. I understand it gets pretty packed out later in the evenings (when I am home asleep :) )
I recommend as a good place to grab lunch or a burger ...

Nothing Better. Since Huson's opened it's doors I've been coming back to this Pub time and time again. Usually during lunch but I have I made many a trip after work to watch a game. I must say I'm a little surprised at all the negative feedback that I see here. I have NEVER had anything short of exceptional service and the food has always been fresh and done the way I asked it to be. I guess with this type of a forum and human nature, it's only the negative experiences that push people to take the time to slam a pub/restaurant becouse some how it makes them feel better. While all the people who lined up and had great experiences, are happy to do so time and time again. That is a true indicator of a great and successful business! And the fact that it still draws a lineup after a year of being in business is amazing, especially in an industry where the clientele is as fickle as the music industry's!
Good on you Hudson's Downtown!!! Please keep that dresscode in effect and keep doing what you're doing!

I miss this musky, dark-lit pub. I think that makes Hudson’s pub a lot more fun than any other pub cause you they televised pay-per-view Boxing matches, when all the pubs just shows Hockey, Baseball and Football games. The staff were always cheerful and happy to help with our needs. The happy hour food and drinks were great as ever! Try their mini donuts with candied bacon!
Popped in for lunch and had a lovely meal. Service was great and fast given that it was lunch. The summer menu had so may delish items. Will return again soon!
Loved it tonight. 100% positive service and taste on food. Definitely see Paige or Matt. Those too rocked it tonight and for that reason I've switched wing night and every other event. Overall the place killed it tonight. Fun environment and games on hockey game night. Absolutely met and exceeded my expectations. Great job everyone!!!
Stopped in here because we were bar hopping home from a Flames game. Such a fun environment. Drinks were cheap, service was great for how busy and late it was and the music was AWESOME. Like every song got me pumped kind of awesome. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in Calgary!
Come here probably 50 times or more over the years. I can't think of a time the staff was ever unfriendly! The food is obviously good, we come for wing night or nacho deal on Sundays! (Deal nights are preferred!) :)
One of the best pubs in Calgary. Staff are so polite and the best customer service I`ve ever seen. Alex`s professional behavior and hospitality made our day, we really enjoyed our time in this pub. Highly recommended!
