We just went there for the first time today. The two young men serving us were very polite and pleasant. Our food was amazing! We will go back for sure. I even asked for the three baklava with the extra chocolate and they young man was happy to oblige. What a great little place!!!
Great food, friendly staff. I grab a falafel on the way home almost once a week and I've never been disappointed. Donair and chicken shawarma are good too. Lunchtime is a madhouse but the staff are efficient and I've never had a mistake with my order.
Large portions overall! Donair meat was very tasty on its own. There’s lots of options for sauces & you get lots of it. Drink & dessert pita for dipping included in the platter (4/5)

OMG. Delicious. Huge portions!! The medium schwarma is the size of an extra large in other places. They stuff a lot of stuff in here - and the sauces are amazing. We also had the fries and the sauce for dipping was also so yummy. I will definitely be returning.
This is one of my favorite places for either shawarma or donair. I like their chicken shawarma because the chicken is fairly succulent with good portions. They use two different wraps with one outter wrap being chewier. Service is fast and the staff are nice.
Great flavours and generous portions of vegetables and meat. Good value for a quick bite and service is fast. Busy location but employees are highly motivated and engaged to help out. Good team work.
Amazing food and good prices. I've tried quite a few items and everything is really good. The amount of seating is a bit small so I usually take it to go and eat elsewhere but it's always busy and that just tells how good the food is.
Came here after visiting some friends. Just a little spot in riverbend, tucked away, probably wouldn't notice it at first. Bright and clean inside. Staff were friendly. Ordered the medium chicken shawarma(should have ordered the small in hindsight since it was so large). They have a good number of toppings, sauces, and cheeses to choose from. Sweet sauce was sweet, chicken was tasty, and the pita itself was very good. I would come here again.
First timer. I got the biggest beef wrap they had, and loved it! Staff was cool, and price was more than fair. Over all, a nice establishment. I'll be back very soon.
Best donair and shawarma in the city! Portions are big. The guys behind the counter are always nice and happy to please. They arnt skimpy on the fillings like some places. The garlic sauce is to die for! Must try!! We drive from Bridlewood to get our wraps here!

I'm going to go ahead and give this place a 5 and I'll tell you why. Service: impeccable. Quality of food: to die for. Amount of food: unbelievable. I'm telling you right now I was going to get the jumbo beef donair and I'm sure glad I didn't. The large was massive. Best donair in Calgary.
My favorite donair and shwarma in Calgary, yes even better than Jimmy's A&A. No other place makes their homemade pitas as delicious as these guys do with their thin and thick double layer. The quality is second to none and the family staff are very nice - you will not regret eating here.
As a donair and shawarma afficionado who has sampled numerous places from the four quadrants of our city, this is my favourite by far for size and flavour. The donairs are huge, fresh and full of flavour. It's clean, a tight knit family run place which everyone loves to support, and they are always so kind when we come with our children.
Am I the only one who finds their shawarma's bland? Maybe the garlic sauce is the secret ingredient (I don't put it on as too much garlic upsets my stomach). The food's not bad but certainly not best I've had. Would love it if the other sauces or the meats could be more flavourful.
Super busy place and you can tell why once you have tried their wraps! The food taste amazing and fresh and the portions are great. There is a guy there named moose that makes them the best in my opinion, so I always try to go when he is working

Amazing!. I have been going here for a couple years and it is my favourite place to get a shawarma or donair. I have seen them in the back preparing the meats fresh and making the sauces. This place is usually busy when I go in, and I know why! The food is fantastic and you got a lot for the money! Such a hidden gem!

Best Shawarma in Calgary hands down!. This place is the cleanest and most sanitary donair/shawarma shop around. The food here is incredible and you will know why if you order the beef shawarma or any one of their fine platters. The meat is always well spiced and juicy. This is a must try and definitely a top pick if you like Mediterranean dishes. The staff is very accommodating and friendly and they are the type that know customer service unlike any other places in Calgary. Excellent food and excellent service - 5 stars :)

Absolutely love this place. You get so much food for your money. I can only ever finish a small. And it's really good quality. The tzadziki is amazing.
THE BEST.. I go here at least once a week and am never disappointed. The food is always fresh and the staff is always friendly. No other donair/shawarma shop can compare to this place. A tip, go early ! before the lunch rush or you'll be waiting in a long line, out the door, down the sidewalk.

These guys are deff the best in Calgary...everything else I've had fails in comparison..the closest to a real halifax donair you can get...now if only I could get these guys to make garlic fingers that would be ultimate. Hint hint guys!

Love it!. Since Pita Grill was near an event I had yesterday evening, I went for a quick supper after work after having read good reviews about the place.
I bought a small chicken shwarma and it was plenty of food for a supper. I'd never had shawarma so I have nothing to which to compare. I moved to Calgary earlier this year, and my previous home did not have very many shawarma/donair places. Since they seem to be everywhere in Calgary, I decided to give on a shot.
It was delicious and I'm sure I'll be seeking more out in the future.
Pita Grill has a variety of homemade desserts and salads. The falafels are huge and look to be homemade as well.
The staff was very friendly, sociable, and threw a bit of humour into what they did.
If I find myself back on that side of the city (I live pretty much as far NW as you can get from there), I'm sure I'll be back.
Pita grill is the best @ what they do. You know when you go to a resturant and you ask whats good here and they say everything well its true here. I have tried every thing on the menu and let me tell you every thing is good.

Definitely the best place to go for donairs for two reasons; the food and the service. I would say I go there 5-6 times a month and they know my order right when I walk in. Not to mention the donairs are fresh and the portions are generous.

The owner and his partner are fantastic; really friendly and really great service to go with the good food. I would think this is the BEST Shawarma for me! It was very authentic and delicious indeed. The meat were prepared and cooked just so great. If I didn’t stop my son, he could probably eat the whole plate! OMG! So tasty. The Baklava was sweet and juicy! The restaurant was spacious, clean, and comfortable! The guys at the kitchen were so nice and polite. They were greeting you when you walk in and out! Very nice experience and definitely will come back again! Highly recommended.
Truly next level food. The best middle eastern in Calgary bar none. The falafel melts in your mouth. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and the food is bursting with flavor. Will definitely be back!!!
By far THE BEST shawarma ever! I grew up in the Middle East and have lived in USA for 20+ years and this place has food that is as close to authentic Middle Eastern as it can get. No place in USA comes close to Pita Grill’s shawarmas! We came back to Canada after 4 years and first stop was PITA GRILL! The staff is super friendly, caring and have a nice sense of humor, they go out of the way to make your experience enjoyable. The food is beyond perfect, delicious and very fresh! We had the chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, mix shawarma, and Kefta kabab platter, and the beef kibbe. OH MY GOODNESS! Just the highest level of satisfaction 😋 can’t wait to go back soon! Highly recommend this amazing restaurant and wish we had them open a few branches in USA!

Pita grill is simply the best Donair/Kebab shop in the city, and has been for years. Even now that we live about a 15-minute drive away, this is the only place we will eat for this style of food. Nothing around us compares nor does any other Donair shop in town.
They have moved a couple of times in the same mall in Riverbend here as they have grown and the current location is fully modern and clean. I almost always have the beef Donair but today I had the chicken souvlaki and wow! Where has this been my whole life? I can't believe all these years and I've never had it until now. The chicken is so juicy, the rice is super delicious, the salad is great and the garlic sauce with the potatoes is divine. Is divine. It also comes with a pita bread and a generous portion of taziki. My spouse had to beef donor and platter and she absolutely loved it. That's what she has all the time sometimes switching for chicken. We both came home with enough food to feed us supper tonight as well.
If you are tired of going to your local place that charges you too much money for a few pieces of meat, that is almost always dry, it's worth the drive to Riverbend to visit the nicest people and the best food in town.
This place is AWESOME!! Huge serving sizes for cheap and more than reasonable prices! Their falafels were some of the best I've ever had, no kidding!! 🔥🔥
Unfortunately I told them to not add any dressing to the ceaser salad, twice (to make sure), but even tho they told me ”no dressing” I ended up with one... That's why I'm only giving 4/5⭐.

Food is fresh daily and prepared with authenticity. Modern look with traditional food - yummy! So clean and everyone is so friendly; the store is a local gem! If you want the best kabobs, platers, salads, burgers etc, and a bang for your buck, this place is a must try!
Awesome kafta kebab over rice! Next time I visit Calgary I will have this again. Very flavorful and filling. The hummus was smooth and tasty.
Food here is to die for, season well and cooked to perfection. Portions are HUGE, I like to get the rice with beef steak and chicken..Love the donair spring rolls with sweet sauce, and the new beef koba are so crispy and flavorful. I've eaten at alot of places in Calgary and , this place tops the charts!! I'm not affiliated but just think people should know about this place. Oh! All the staff are also very charming 😘😘
