The standard North American Chinese food fare is served here like ginger beef, lemon chicken, and sweet and sour pork. The food pretty much tastes how it looks and is comparable to mall food court Chinese food. That's about it. Filling. Decent.

Such good food!! Currently sitting in the restaurant enjoying an amazing meal and had to stop myself from eating and write this review. The food is flavorful and portion sizes are SO BIG, not to mention the service is prompt and welcoming! Can't believe I haven't tried Mighty Mango before. 10/10 Highly recommended!

Really good. Only ordered a few items: - Spring Rolls - Large Wonton Soup (great size) - Ginger Beef (with extra sauce): Yum! Beef was soft & tender NOT tough & chewy like jerky. Sauce has a nice kick to it and isn't too sweet.

Great tasting food and well portioned out. My favorite from them is their chicken and cream corn soup. They BBQ pork with honey sauce was amazing as well.

Two words for two stars - never again. I don't normally write bad reviews, but I'm so damn disappointed by the recent decline in food quality here that I feel compelled to do so. Mighty Mango has been our go to for the past 7 years - always fresh, always hot, always tasty Perhaps it's the result of the what's been happening in the restaurant industry, but if I'm going to fork out money for take out, it had better be worth it. My rice noodle soup was awful - it tasted as if was made with water, not broth. The vegetables were mushy and the meat tough. I also decided to try the house special chow mein versus my usual cantonese chow mein...what a mistake. The dish was super salty and the meat (again) tough and very dry. So that's it - even tough I have tried hard to "understand", 3-4 consecutive visits that ended in disappointment are enough for me :(

This place has been around for years, always been great food and value, but pretty disappointed with today's attempt. Called a few days ago to confirm hours for Christmas Eve and that I could call this afternoon to preorder for an evening pickup. I was told yes, no problem, but just now when I called I was told they're too busy. Not cool MM :(

Ordered take out from here today, food came really hot and fresh ordered a meal for one and a starter size dumplings. The meal came with a spring roll, chicken fried rice, ginger beef, and mixed vegetables. Really Enjoyed the dumplings. will be ordering from here again! The meal for one was a big sized portion, enough for two people. Ordered through skip the dishes.

Mighty Mango always churns out consistently good food. Quality dishes made fresh and with care. Dining in or take out, you can't go wrong. Service is always up to standards and prices are typical for most good chinese.

Current owners are extremely pleasant and attentive. I periodically order from here and the food is reliably fresh and made quickly, though some dishes are occasionally on the bland side. They also have some more authentic selections not normally available from Western style Chinese restaurants.

We were loyal customers to this place since they opened up, but they have gone downhill since. We ordered our regular selection of items and to our disappointment the quality was no longer the same as our honey sesame chicken came with no sauce (which we also were charged $3 extra to switch the item from pork to a chicken dish), the portion sizes had somehow shrunk and when we brought our concerns up with the waitress, she insisted that the food had always been that way; lied to and ripped off!. Needless to say we will not be ordering from here again.

So much grease you can lube your engine. Ordered pick up from Mighty mango and was very disappointed. I think this this is a sister restaurant to Kung Fu in Silverado, but this place does not meet their standards. Everything was very very VERY greasy. Was in the area and thought we would try it, but will not return.

Bad customer service. We ordered sweet and sour chicken balls in our delivery order. They sent pineapple sweet and sour chicken. When I called to talk to them about it they told us we did not order right because we did not specify chicken balls. They said we could drive to the restaurant and exchange the food or wait 1 hour to have the correct order delivered again. Not only did they rush the call when we ordered but they obviously were not clear in what we wanted and did not confirm the order. On top of that blamed us for the mistake and refused to rectify the situation. After I explained if the situation is not rectified I would not purchase anything from them again they said Ok Goodbye. 20 minutes later they called back saying the next time we order we would get half an order of sweet and sour chicken balls for free if we make sure we say chicken balls. Well that will be half a free order we will not get because in the customer service industry, customer service is the only priority. We have ordered from Mighty Mango many times and even though we do like the food and this was the only place we ordered Chinese food from I will not be ordering from them again and this experience will be a subject of conversation with our friends and family.

Very Yummy! Great deal!. I got the lunch special for 8.95 and it comes with fried rice and 2 items of your choosing from a 10 item list. I couldn't finish all my food, the portions were very good! The sweat and sour chicken balls were amazing as were the spare ribs. Takeout was fast. I am delighted to have discovered this, not very busy but an awesome place!

"New" Mighty Mango might be better than old!. I've always loved this place, good solid Chinese food. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Ordered the Hot and Sour soup, Ginger Beef, Szechuan Shanghai noodles, and Salt and Pepper Chicken. Hot and Sour soup was perfect, so many places screw it up. Ginger beef was tender with good sized meat Szechuan noodles were very delicious, even had them for breakfast and lunch today Salt and Pepper Chicken dough was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend going here if you like Chinese Food, IMHO the best in South Calgary if not all of Calgary. Used to drive from Airdrie to get it, and was a little worried about the renos, but nothing changed about the food it's absolutely stellar. Was dead when I went there, so everybody should go and get them bumping again!!

Awesome Chinese Food!!. Had dinner there and the quality of the food was amazing! The portion sizes are huge and was definitely worth the money! The server was very friendly as well! Highly recommend to anyone looking for some great Chinese food.

Good Taste. Good Value. Two of us ate the $8.95 lunch specials. The side order of spring rolls were hot and tasty. The ginger beef and mixed vegetable plate I had was nicely done and the plate was full. Everything served got a passing grade. The restaurant itself is clean and pleasantly decorated and service was prompt and friendly. What's not to like?

New management, great decor, still great food. Mighty Mango recently got handed over to new management from the previous Thai & Chinese cuisine style owners (which took over earlier this year from the owners who ran it for over ten years). Among some of the various changes, the open dining room has undergone major renovations and is now very sleek and modern with gold and dark brown hues. The menu is back to specializing in Chinese cuisine and the prices are actually cheaper! We ordered the dinner for two which included spring rolls, chicken fried rice, sweet and sour pork, ginger beef, and vegetables for just less than $30. The portion sizes were very generous and we definitely had enough leftover for two lunches the next day. The food was very tasty and filling. I loved the way they made the mixed vegetables. The sauce had some garlic in it and tasted fantastic! Our waitress was also very attentive and friendly and ensured everything was to our liking. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and loved the great food at great prices. I will definitely come back and try the other dishes they offer!

What happened. We used to love mighty mango. We've been going for 10 years. Had take out tonight and it was not good. Hot and sour soup tasted like pepper. Soggy spring rolls that were tasteless. Unfortunately we are going to have to try somewhere else for Chinese food. I think Manchu wok at Southcentre is better. While pregnant my wife and I ate here 4x a week. We will never be back

After 15 years of great food I need to find a new staple for my takeout Chinese food. Dinner tonight was almost completely inedible with grossly over cooked ginger beef, soggy lemon chicken and salt and pepper spareribs that more resembled battered and deep fried fat. The quality of the food was only marginally better than managements response. Upon phoning back to inform them of the unacceptable state of the food, I was informed that the food was cooked exactly the way it was intended to be served and that there was nothing they were prepared to do about our experience. Bad food sometimes happens, however there is little excuse for poor management and poor customer service. My family and I will not be back.

Delicious curry!. This restaurant has changed management since February of this year. I was skeptical at first because I've been an old customer of Mighty Mango for years, but our experience was absolutely wonderful! The inside is newly renovated and so has the menu. Mighty Mango has hired a Thai chef with 10+ years of experience, and has also improved their Chinese dishes! The calamari is to die for. It was so easy to chew and the curries go hand-in-hand with Mighty's coconut rice. The amount of coconut rice wasn't a lot for $2.25 but I could actually TASTE the coconut. Worth every penny!

First time dining at Mighty Mango last night. They just renovated and changed the menu to include Thai dishes, which is what prompted me to go.. I was impressed! My green curry prawns were presented in a large silver bowl and smelled amazing. It tasted just as good as the more upscale Thai restaurants I've been to. At $17 for the dish I was glad to see there was a generous serving of prawns. They were large and meaty, and the vegetables were delicious as well (I've never had asparagus in a Thai curry before). I asked for mild but the dish was HOT. Our waitress brought me a plate of sliced cucumbers which helped with the heat. I think my only complaint is the servings of rice here are very small. $2.25 for a tiny bowl of coconut rice. Maybe I'm spoiled because I grew up in Winnipeg and you never pay extra for rice with your meal at a Thai restaurant. Overall a very good experience. Nice staff, very clean inside. Looking forward to trying more of the dishes.

WOW!. So we are off to the Mighty Mango for our usual hit of Chinese food. We tried a few weeks go but they were doing renovations. Well what we found was a complete make-over inside and on the menu. We love Thai and the new menu is about 90% Thai. It was outstanding........we had Thai green curry prawns, pork tenderloin in a Thai lime chilli seasoning over broccoli, and pad Thai and cocnut rice. Did I say outstanding. To top it off was a bowl of toasted coconut ice cream. Wow!

The food is always good, i have tried plenty of other Chinese food places and was always disappointed..i was about to give up on the cuisine all together but glad i gave mighty mango a shot! I order from there at least twice a month and always left happy with a full tummy! Would definitely recommend to anyone :)

Indifferent. Thought we would try something new. The owner has been in business for multiple years but she's not that interested in the customer. They mostly cater to canadian chinese rather than authentic chinese. If you are looking for real chinese food. This is not it. Why does this resturant have such a high rating ??? Decor is dated and yes you can tell nothing's been changed for umpteen years.

It's ok. I visited this place because I heard that their lunch specials was a great deal. I ordered the ginger fried beef but it wasn't the greatest. It was a meh for the price you're paying for. I haven't been there for a year so I'm not sure how it is now.

This was our favorite restaurant until recently. The salt and pepper squid is bland and frankly mush,as were the shanghai noodles. Anything that is deep fried , especially the wontons, taste like the oil came from a WW2 Willy's Jeep. Won't be eating there again -too bad!
