Exceptional service and hospitality shown to my group and I. We were traveling from Minnesota to Banff and Jasper National Parks and stopped in for lunch on our way through Calgary. We liked it so much and felt so at home that we swung through again on the way home. Not only is the food good but it's a place where you're treated like family no matter where you're from. This place has the small town charm in the big city. Go and you won't be disappointed!
The chicken shishtawouk platter is the best around. Healthy choices and stellar every single time. Highly recommend!
Food is fresh and flavourful. Atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Love supporting locally owned and operated businesses.
So good everytime. Ive been eating here for 10 years and have yet to be dissapointed.
Great falafel platter and we adored the baklava!!! Thx!
Great food.. Funky atmosphere
Tazza is hidden on the outskirts of bridgeland but I usually come here once in a while for their shawarmas. I would typically order the chicken shawarmas which comes with the tender chicken and your choice of veggies. What I like about this place is their lemon sauce which they add in the end. One thing I would add is their large portion seems more like a medium compared to most places and their prices are a bit higher. I'd still recommend trying this place out.
This has been my go to place for mid eastern food for a long time. My mouth waters just thinking about it. The food has always been outstanding. I've never had an issue with the service, it's a deli you stand in line order, find a seat and go grab your food when it's ready, pretty simple. The patio is great when the weather is nice.
I miss the Oud player on Fridays though.
So incredibly delicious. I got a large falafel sandwich ($8.79) that came loaded with fluffy, crisp, perfectly seasoned falafel and a whole host of fresh vegetables. I also tried the tabouleh salad ($4.99 for a small) which was also really, really good. The owner was incredibly friendly, letting us sample several things before we ordered. Everything is also clearly labeled as vegan, vegetarian, etc., which is much appreciated. I'll definitely be back anytime I'm in the mood for amazing Mediterranean food!
Super fresh and authentic Mediterranean food at Tazza! The owners are friendly and are always serving delicious meals. I also appreciate that everything in the deli is labeled if it's vegan and gluten free.
You have to check it out
The best I've ever tasted.. CHICKEN SHISH TAOUK
Extremely fresh and deeeeeeelicious!
I could eat one every day.
A wonderful family run business.
Be sure to cross the street and visit the well stocked market too.
When my wife and I lived in Bridgeland we made Tazza a weekly (ok, I snuck over more often) stop and our three kids love the food too! Our usuals include chicken shish touk, Greek salad, and the fatyre. Now that we've moved SW into the burbs we make the trek every summer for lunch (the kids beg us) and we have no problem obliging. We eat lunch which is so flavourful and mouthwatering, I wish I knew what the spices they use in the meat are called mmmm... Then we like to cross the street to buy a nice cream for the corner store and wander over to our favourite ol' playground. Such a lovely neighbourhood. Thanks Tazza! We live your food!
I love this place! The service is always good, and the food is so satisfying and tastes decently healthy. The falafel and chicken shish touk are my favorites!!
Beef shawarma was great ! Loved the filings and the pita. Would really have liked more sauce though and the option of hot sauce. Felt rushed with the order. I Look forward to going again and getting another one !
Great service, great food. Haven't been here for awhile and decided to make a trek from the deep Southeast of the City to Bridgeland for dinner. Got there at 6:27pm not realizing Tazza closes at 6:30. We went to order and they let us know but said it was okay and we could even sit in if we wanted as they needed to clean up anyway. Food was great, we sat out on the patio and the service was fast and polite. Have to remember to come by more often.
Varieties. Great vegetarian and vegan options!
My first visit. I'm from the East coast and it was delicious. Great services, tasty food, good prices.
Delicious fresh food every time. We love it and are never disappointed.
Consistently Delicious. I have been eating at Tazza for years, and it is always great. I usually get the chicken or the beef wrap, or sometimes the plate. It's always made perfectly, and I look forward to the cranky banter with Tazza's matriarch. I also love buying their hummus and some falafel chips at Bridgeland Market across the road.
Always great food...friendly service. Chicken Shwarma one of our favorites & we finish with a large enough to share piece of yummy Baklava. We always leave satisfied and full
I don't know how anyone can find anything negative to say! Best Shawarma in the city by far! Friendly family atmosphere and a modern feel. Love love love this place!
Best of Calgary. Good food, good scene good vibe. Owned by longtime Calgary family (Lebanese, I think) with deep roots. Foods all good, can't go wrong. Shwarma platter is good sized and you get all the goodies, roasted eggplant, the purple cabbage. Tabbouleh is awesome. Once in a while grandpa comes in and plays his Mideast lute, it's just good.
Love it. Great food. Wonderful family and service. It's one of the best things about Calgary.
My favorite in the city, great food and service!
Perfect! Fresh! Fast! Tasty! Great people, wonderful atmosphere, well priced!!!
Great patio, Great Food. Tazza is a great place, run by great people who have been part of the neighbourhood for decades. The food is fresh and cheap. Not your average fast food donair, the menu has a home-made appeal. With the whole family pitching in, whats not to love?
Unbelievably good. Fresh ingredients, moist and tender meat, delicate flavours and spices.......my mouth is watering while I write this. Best Middle Eastern in Calgary. Hands down.
My favorite place. Best sandwiches, very clean, the service is really good. It is now my favorite place.
Best Shwarma In Town!. I have had many Shwarmas in Calgary and I have to say that Tazz by far beats them all....hands down!
They always have the freshest ingredients and the chicken is amazing.
If you have never eaten at Tazza you need to get your life together at get down to Bridgeland.
The place has prighty good food, deserts are good as well, bit pricey but over all I'd give it a 6 outa 10
Eat in, don't take out :). The food is delicious, and very reasonably priced. This is one of my favourite places for a quick sandwich, especially since it's walking distance from my house. However, I've not had good experiences with takeout meals... the delicious sauces tend to be very drippy and make a big mess of the bread. Nevertheless, I highly recommend Tazza!
I love this place!. The family has been in Bridgeland FOREVER, they are kind, generous and friendly and they will always have a special place in my heart... That said - beyond how wonderful the family is, the food is always SO good. I always get a chicken shawarma with the works. It's messy but that's the way it's supposed to be - you can't eat a shawarma neatly, just give up that notion! The baklava is by far, hands down, without a doubt, the BEST in the city. I find myself constantly craving it which is a bad thing because it is NOT good for the waist line! LOL!
Little pricey but totally worth it. Grade A beef
Excellent Middle Eastern Food!. I've visited Tazza for several months now. Their food is a little pricey, but worth it. Very fresh! I've eaten the chicken shush taouk (I think I spelled it right...) and I found it addictive. I've since become a vegetarian and I've become fond of their filafel wrap. Filled with spicy fillafel and pickled veggies. Equally addictive. Their greek salad and tabuleh are fresh and delicious. I loved their baklava as well. It seems rather crowed at lunch time. I've always taken my food away. I'd like to stay sometime. They sometimes have a musician playing and it seem cozy. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Bridgeland has a gem.
The best falafel ever!. What can I say about Tazza besides "It's a Gem". I love this place! The Vegiie platter, the falafel, the baklava, the fava bean salad..... so yummy! And it's not too pricey. It's family run and they are all so friendly. They even have live music during lunch! Awesome awesome awesome.
Excellent Value. A family owned Middle Eastern spot in Bridgeland reminiscent of any coffee house found in quaint neighborhoods. The difference…the fresh food served inside...handmade by the Traya family. The word Tazza is Arabic for "fresh" and this partially describes everything we ate. The other word that comes to mind is flavor! I am not an expert on Middle Eastern cuisine but their dishes were excellent and my Lebanese "food guide" was in heaven as their food tasted just like her grandmother used to make. It was zesty, aromatic, well portioned, did I mention fresh? Definitely worthy of the trip to Bridgeland.
We ate a Shawarma platter (served with various pickles, hommous, pita, tabouli, two of their fatayer (chicken & spinach/feta) and then...more tabouli. All of it was indicative of old world food prep…which is made daily or on demand. I really enjoyed the place and even though I gorged myself the meal was not heavy. The veritable cherry on the sundae for me was the Pop Shoppe soda (www.thepopshoppe.com), a total throwback to the 70's…I don't even remember the last time I saw their products. Lunch for two…$28 and worth every penny. I wish we had saved room for their delicious looking desserts. Tazza is run by very nice people, their food is excellent value and there is no reason not to go back…and I will.

Tazza Grill and Deli was the first place that the Foodosopher introduced me to in the Calgary food scene several years ago, during a quick lunch break meeting. Though my memories have faded since that first visit, I do remember that it was not a place tha
