Soft opening of a Triple O in the southeast today. It’s on 52 ave at the Chevron gas bar. It’s nice to have a BC favourite locally after the closer of the White Spot on McCloud a few years ago.

Reliable, great food, service and drinks.
I've been here many times and I will continue to come. The staff always greets you and seats you promptly. I've eaten the spaghetti and meatballs, the ribs, the fish and chips, the fish tacos, and ALWAYS zoo sticks for an appetizer.
All of these are great choices for your dinner tonight! But I'd like to highlight the BBQ ribs, these pork back ribs and so tender the bones slip right out of the meat. The meat is thickly covered in a tangy light BBQ sauce, that will leave you licking your fingers.
Went here with 5 people including 2 kids. Our server Lisa was excellent. The food took a while to come out, but was worth the wait. Everyone enjoyed their choice (beef dip, cheese steak, halibut burger, and beef burger). Drinks were refilled as needed. The price was reasonable ($78 total). I think at other comparable chain restaurants it would have cost more for no additional value. I wish there was White Spot in Saskatoon.
Came her for brunch around 11:30 am. For the price was really impressed, compared to places like perkins and rickies, it definitely is better and usually rickies is our spot. If your looking for good non greasy breakie check it out. You won't be disappointed. Service was great to and we only waited 10 mins for our food. Little hidden gem for a good breakfast.
Decent food, nice service. It isn't anything special but it's a nice place to have dinner with family. We had the fried three cheese ravioli, clam chowder, and PBJ Burger. Of the three plates, I enjoyed the fried ravioli the most. Crispy on the outside with warm cheese on the inside, what's not to like? I think the PBJ burger isn't for everyone. I can't say I enjoyed the combination of peanut butter and beef, but it was interesting. Just a warning that the clam chowder is Manhattan style, in case you're not a fan.

I treated a friend for lunch today, Sept. 24, 2015 and we decided to go to The White Spot on Barlow.
I had never been to 'the spot', but my friend has and she had remembered going to 'the spot' when she was back in high school and thought it would be nice to go back and she had said things have changed.
We were a bit pro-active and checked out the menu online last night and see what to order....better than looking at the menu and trying to decide what to order and waste the waitresses time- coming back every +10 min or so to see if we were ready to order.
When we went it- it was pretty open and bright. They had this memorizing wall when you enter- cascading water over 'The White Spot' name over the stone wall.
She had ordered the beef dip and I had the "The Spot’s 50/50™ 1/3 lb. patty made with Canadian beef & premium double-smoked bacon, caramelized onions, cheese & Dijon mayo. Served with creamy coleslaw & ‘endless’ signature fries" But I am picky- I opted out on the cheese and mayo. Had a side of gravy.
My friend, she had a good cup of coffee.
Our meals came out pretty quickly and hot. My friend commented her beef in the sandwich was quite good- nice and tender with no gristle, good amount and the au jus was pretty good too. She had also said the French fries were also good.
My version of "The Classic 50/50 burger" : beef patty and double-smoked bacon, caramelized onions, and served with creamy coleslaw & ‘endless’ fries.
That was a downside- we had forgotten it was 'endless fries' but the waitress never reminded us nor asked us if we wanted more fries. Not that we needed them, but they were quite good and could have anther round.
The saving grace was their warm apple pie with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. Which to our surprise, another waitress brought out the dessert with 2 spoons. So I had to force my friend to take a couple of spoons full. She was impressed that they served it warm. Their apple pie was awesome and so was the ice cream.
I would go back, but a little bummed about no 'endless' fries.
A Very Good Breakfast. Had a very good Canada Day breakfast at this restaurant. A good assortment of dishes on the menu, and everyone was pleased with what they got: eggs every way, omelettes, etc. The spinach, portobello and feta omelette was succulent and delicious. The sausages perfectly cooked (nicely browned but not dried out). The tasty "smashbrown potatoes" were a hit with everyone.
Service was capable, friendly and unobtrusive, even though they seemed to be dealing with some holiday-related staffing issues.
The only negatives were environmental. The lighting in back of the restaurant where we were seated was bizarrely dark for a bright sunny day (like being in a late-night jazz club) and the piped-in music was much too loud and much too sprightly for the hour.
Mixed feelings. I have always really enjoyed the food, and management really went the extra mile for me once. I left my business cell at the White Spot in Edmonton, and they couriered it to the Calgary location for me right away at no expense. THAT has kept me going back, but the service has really been lacking. I tried to take my Dad there last week, and after standing at the front for over 5 minutes with nobody in sight my father actually started counting down aloud from 15, and insisted we leave once he reached zero. He did, and nobody made an effort whatsoever, so we left. I really want to keep supporting this place, but service issues need to be resolved.
Gluten-Free Friendly?. I had an AMAZING pasta dish, delicious, and was not cross contaminated!!!! I stressed that they be extra careful and I think it took a bit longer but we didn't mind AT ALL!!!! Lots of menu options, clean, nice bathroom, and great service. Even had a separate person bring out my food to make sure that my food didn't get contaminated on the carry out with the burgers and such my friends where having. The waitress said "fresh hands" are bringing out your meal and it came not long after the others were served. Word of mouth (from another person with dietary issues) brought me here and I will definitely be returning!!!!

Best dining experience in a long time. Visiting Calgary and wanted to treat some friends to a good meal. The place is super clean, the staff is totally friendly and personable and the food was totally amazing! None of us left there hungry either. The portions were excellent. I loved the fact that we were able to order wild rice and multigrain buns for the burgers. Our order was beyond our expectations. Will return there at the drop of a hat.
Getting more expensive. I have always loved this going back to the first Van locations but they are changing from a family resto to being more trendy. The food is still good but the prices arent what they used to be. Try the clubhouse and you wont be disappointed.
Service was good and the decor is good too (but your paying for it).
Not too shabby. I went here with a co-worker for lunch, worked near here for years just never gave it a shot until today. Food wasn't bad I had the Philly Cheese Steak which was pretty good. They even use Provolone Cheese on it which most restaurants don't. As someone who loves this sandwich I was pleased to see that. My only gripe is that it took almost a 30 to 45 minutes before we saw our food come out. My co-worker ordered a Chicken Salad she said that was not bad. I will give it another shot.
Love it!. Tried their veggie burger (Mmmmmm! Delicious portobello mushrooms and roasted peppers!) and my husband had the lengendary Triple O burger. Yummy! Quick, friendly service to make it a perfect weekend lunch.
We were 100% satisfied and we'll be back for sure! Even the side salad and french fries were delicious!
Good Value. I like this place because it's clean & kid-friendly. The food is also tasty and fresh. The waterfall is also pleasant to gaze at as you savor the Bishop's Curry . . . My family and I shall return!
Even though the younger waitress was really snippy, the older waitress/hostess was awesome. The food was great and very filling. And the blueberry pie on now is also fantastic.
Nostalgia wins every time. White Spot is always a stop when I make a trip out West. We used to go with my aunt & uncle when I was growing up, and it just brings back great memories!
My wife, on the other hand, doesn't think it's anything special, so maybe I'm just a sentimental sap.
The burgers are always done well, the endless fries (if you have room after finishing the burger) are a nice touch, and NOTHING beats the Triple O Sauce.
It was a great way to finish off a long day of driving!
Excellent Service. I have been trying out lots of different restaurants in the NE lately and find myself always going back to this restaurant. I find the service to be excellent. Anytime there was an issue with an order the manager would come over and make sure it was taken care of right away. I will keep going back to this location.
It's a Vancouver thing.... Most of my friends/family in Vancouver LOVE Whitespot. However, I know a lot of non Vancouverites that do not like Whitespot. I think it's the experience of growing up and eating these burgers - and going from a Pirate's Pak to Grills and Greens combo (the most unhealthy thing you can order). The bun is soft and squishy, the patty is nothing special, but that triple O sauce.. oh my! Bit of red relish and sweet mayo oozing out of the burger. My brother would always order an extra side of TOS to dip with his fries. Tasty fish and chips, but again, I think it's the sauce that really makes the burger so addictive. I also like how if anything goes wrong - (fries are cold, salad not up to par, bun is soggy) the staff will fix it for you. I would not recommend anything other than fish and chips and burgers. The pastas and other seasonal entrees aren't worth it.
White Spot burgers are one of my favorites. Good quality beef, never overcooked, and just the right amount of condiments - including the delicious Triple O sauce - makes a tasty burger. Prices are very reasonable. Service is fast, efficient, and friendly. Management team is always present and always willing to help out to make sure you enjoy your White Spot experience. If you haven't been to this location, you should definitely check it out!
Kids review. The white spot is a excellent place to eat. They have breakfast lunch and dinner. My parents always say the burgers are great. I'm guessing they are cause they sure look good. The good thing is they have root beer no restaurants have root beer these days. We are never ever disappointed with there meals.the kids meal will always come in a little ship with a chocolate coin .the kids mood is also very good. My only concern is that sometimes they forget to put the chocolate coin on top of the little cardboard ship. Otherwise it's great good service and good food

The greeting not so nice. We drove around for maybe 20 minutes around northeast as we couldnt decide on where to eat . Never tried White spot dont know why i didnt but just didnt. never wanted to I guess just didnt hear great about this place . It doesnt look so appealing from the outside looks like a big tavern. Well we drove by and we were like lets finally try white spot lets give it a shot. Its right infront of Earls and Joey tomotoes big big competiors for white spot thier menus are similar to white spot ,but ya on with this review we walked inside and waited like 5 minutes for a host to come and greet us, well she came to the front but her greeting was blah like didnt care what so ever that we came in for a sunday lunch , shes like how many people ? thats it . she walked us to our booth table. As we were walking no conversation nothing, we sat down and were waiting for her to tell us the restaurant specials but she just walked away ...lol Like we didnt feel welcomed . we must of sat atleast 15 minutes till we got attended to by a server, well she was ok too not to great .im a ace now when it comes to Seeing a great server and just an ok server. she was in the ok catorgory wasnt really customer orientedm just wanted us to order well i ordered a steak. and i waited and i waited No steak for 45 minutes .. she finally comes and says hey the cook totally messed up on your order, he put on a filet instead of the new york steak. well I dont care ive been waiting 45 minutes , in the restaurant business There should be no excuses just fix it. I gotta give these guys props for this one they did. she was walkin back to the kitchen she grabbed the manager , a few minutes later she came and said the steak is on us, were sorry we made a mistake. I apprieciate it because i wasnt wrong .WAITING and waiting just aint worth it for a new restaurant that your just trying out, few seconds later the manager came out too and said he was sorry and the steak is on us. They took care of it in a nice way . And The steak was awesome , Just made right..

Most important i find when i go to a restaurant.
Good takeout, but slow!. Working nearby, this is a convenient place to grab a hot lunch without resorting to the cafeteria or the vending machines. The service can be a bit slow sometimes, but when the food comes in it is consistently good. The beef dip is always flavourful, and the Nobashi prawns are always crispy.
Takeout can sometimes take anywhere between 15-20 minutes, but so far I've never had any errors in the order -- which can be common. It's not bad, regardless!
Nice place to go after a movie. Nice not very expensive plate. Great place to go after a movie after the rush time on Saturday evening.
