The menu is very small, so options are limited. However, you don't need to look farther than the Broken Burrito, which is totally incredible.
At some point they will need to expand the menu to more options, but for now I am happy eating that practically every week!
We just finished a lunch here & the food was great & full of amazing ingredients! Even our picky eater kids loved their food! I must also mention that we came AFTER they had already closed. Regardless, the owners accommodated us. I couldn't believe it! What awesome customer service. We will be back. Thank you for opening up a vegan place in a market that is seriously lacking vegan options.

I had The Pope's Pesto. Zucchini pasta with pesto and sunflower seeds. Lime Kombucha to drink. It was simply excellent! I would highly recommend this place.
I've been in here twice in the last two days, and everything I've eaten has been phenomenal! Megan and Ali are so friendly and the atmosphere is so lovely. I had the Broken Burrito, which I highly recommend! I can't wait to try everything on the menu. 10/10.
This is a gem of a place! Great service, great prices and most importantly the food is amazingly delicious! I can't wait to go back there and try everything! I'm so happy that there is a spot like this in Calgary now!
I just had The Linguine and it was absolutely incredible!!! I loved being able to have a delicious meal without worrying if it contained gluten or dairy. I would order it again in a heartbeat!
The food is incredible, creative and soooo tasty! The space is simple and charming and the owners are friendly and ready with suggestions to guide your culinary adventure. Super affordable and you and your future self will be grateful for the nourishment the handcrafted vegan delights offer. Thank you <3
I live in the area and am constantly walking around Kensington so I was so surprised I hadn't heard of this place before yesterday when I was trying to find a healthy yet affordable breakfast spot for this morning with a friend! Such a lovely space they've made in the understated lower level underneath Kensington Florist and Peacock Boutique. Everything on the menu looked amazing, it was hard to pick just one thing, even though I knew immediately that I would be a regular of theirs. It was a difficult decision, but I decided on The Bowl, which turned out to be a HUGE and delicious chia and oat pudding bowl topped with whatever nuts, seeds, fruit and nut butters your heart desires (they have a LOT to choose from). My friend got The Bhurji, a tofu scramble on toast with avo and indian spices that was KILLER! Everything was super fresh, super flavorful, with generous portions and incredible value. And the two girls running Raw are so friendly and knowledgeable! I will be back (probably later today to being honest) many, many times. Such a gem of a spot!
I had the linguine. It was so delicious and fresh. The service is friendly and knowledgable. I highly recommend this vegan restaurant.
The absolute best spot to eat in Calgary. My favourite is the broken burrito and the pesto salad. TO DIE FOR.
New fave place :) The food is so amazing and the owners are so sweet!!
Beyond stoked with everything about Raw Eatery. The service is warm and welcome, the space is cute and nichey, the vibe is authentic and the food is fantastic! The Linguine w/ "Chicken" Meatballs is an instant favourite. .. so happy to have these shining gems as neighbours, now our life is complete!
Cute, cool and bright. I had some excellent coffee, spirulina popcorn, and vegan peach dessert. Can't wait to come back for a full meal. The plates passing by looked great!
The food is SO DELICIOUS and so good for the soul!!! The prices are also really reasonable and the staff are so kind. Love love love it.
The food is amazing! And so easy on your wallet I always tempted to buy one of everything on the menu:) sad we were too late for the cheesecake but will definitely be back soon! Super casual atmosphere and wonderful service by the owners.
Refreshing & tasty. Excellent flavours - was not overly “healthy” tasting nor lacking the savouriness of meat. Only complaint is that portions are small. (4/5)
I'm not really into the idea of raw foods, I'm the kind of person who wants food to burn my mouth as I'm eating it, I also like things that taste oily and unhealthy, but I like trying new things, so I went in and ordered their tacos.
I don't say this often but ohmygerd... This is one of the best tacos I've ever had, and I left feeling full! I may have to try their zucchini pesto next
I think I've mentioned this on a previous review, but I'm about the furthest thing from a Vegan/healthy eater. That being said, a family member that I am very close with is, so when we go out for food, I have no problems catering to their dietary restrictions. Out of all the places we've gone to, I'd have to say that Raw Eatery is by far the best. The decor is minimal, but there's something about the "no frills" decor that I find relaxing. It's hip, but not pretentious. And the young woman that served us was friendly, helpful AND informative. Now, let's get to the food. DELICIOUS! You can absolutely tell how fresh the food is upon your first bite. THIS is what food should be. We started with an order of the nachos...which, in all honesty, are better than 99.9% of the bar/restaurant nachos I've ever had. They're fresh...not overcooked in an oven like most nachos...and they're smothered with all sorts of amazing vegetables and seasonings. We also shared the Rainbow Pad Thai, and the Tangled Thai salad. Both offerings were absolutely amazing, and had that fresh, nutty Thai flavour that I love so much.If more places like this existed, I'm quite certain the world would be a healthier place. If you want to go out for a delicious, healthy bite to eat,..give Raw a try for sure. I'll go back anytime!
Having never been to a purely raw vegan restaurant before, I was a little more than curious to try Raw Eatery and Market. The restaurant's interior is very serene and welcoming, with eclectic wooden tables and string lights looping down from the ceiling. It is a little too dimly lit for my taste, but there is an option to sit outside where there is more natural light. The staff are incredibly friendly and warm. After perusing the intriguing (and remarkably affordable) menu, I finally settled on The Pope's Pesto ($8, $5 for a half size). Self-serve water is available, and they also have Kombucha on tap. Service was a little slow considering there weren't many other people in the restaurant, but there's tons of vegan-centric merchandise to browse while you wait. I ordered a half size, but full-size portions that I saw leaving the kitchen were quite generous. And I have to say, when my meal did arrive, it was absolutely delicious: tender zucchini "noodles" (that bore a remarkable textural resemblance to actual pasta) topped with a lovely, lemony hemp and basil pesto, along with pumpkin seeds (which added a welcome crunch) and juicy cherry tomatoes. Any doubts I had about the quality of raw vegan food were quickly dispelled, and I think even the very carnivorous would enjoy a meal here! Definitely think about dropping by Raw Eatery and Market, I know I'll be back in the near future!
