Long time favorite for breakfast on the way to Banff. So much so I don't think I have ever had lunch here. Hostess was fast and do was coffee. Still served in a thermos that is left on the table. Breakfast order is out in a hurry and is served as ordered. Waitress checks on us several times and refills our coffee pot. No new, creative, fusion, or piles of fresh fruit. Just eggs, pancakes, and waffles served in a hurry.
This location is probably the nicest in my opinion. The portions are very good and the food quality is always on par. The menu selection is quite big- something for everyone! The pricing is very decent too. Quick service and friendly staff. Can't complain! Will definitely go back if I'm in the area.
Phil's is always consistent. The place is clean and bustling on most weekends. You have a good selection of all the typical entrees you would expect at a restaurant that caters to the breakfast crowd. We eat here quite often, and are seated and served promptly. Our waitress this time took good care of us and came back periodically to check on how things were going. The interior is consistent with most diners. Not avant garde but not drab either. Two breakfasts with coffee will set you back $30 or so. The food is prepared well, and although we don't wander too much through the menu, I've never been disappointed. The Traveller's Breakfast, some fat French Toast or some pancakes with a load of blueberry topping will suit most appetites. You really can't go wrong, although given the mixed reviews on the Eggs Benedict, perhaps I'll have to try those next time and add my own opinion.
I stopped by Phil’s on a whim one morning because I was feeling like a classic breakfast and I figured I’d try it out since I pass by it occasionally. The interior is a decent size and while the décor is a bit dated, I think it has the classic diner charm that you would think of when going to a place like Phil’s.
The service was okay; I was seated promptly but the waitress seemed to mainly care about just taking down my order and that was it. I got the Traditional Mixed Grill, which was good, but you can’t really go wrong with Bacon, Sausage, Ham, Eggs, Buttered Toast, and Hash Browns in the morning. Overall, Phil’s is a decent diner that serves decent food; if you’re going there, you probably have an idea of what to expect and they serve their niche well.

Better than Denny's. I would have to say the quality is better than Denny's. Dont go for a Sunday brunch, because the wait times are pretty long.
Awesome eggs benny. I usually always get the eggs benny. Everything here is pretty good. Great coffee. Reasonable prices. Come here once a week at least.
They Have Great Food. They're food always hits the spot. I only have ever been there for breakfast though. They also have a lot of gluten free options. They have gluten free pancakes, muffins, crepes and more.
Been going to Phil's for over 40 yrs. It's a family favorite, and have never had a bad experience yet. Huge menu selection... something for everyone and for every appetite.
Service was good. Large menu selection for both breakfast and dinner items. Food (had blueberry pancakes with eggs and bacon), was pretty decent. I'd eat here again.
Once you negotiate the tricky new roadway here you will enjoy the large parking lot with all free parking.
Upon entry we were welcomed warmly and guided to our table very quickly.
Windows here are very large and let a lot of sun in. It is a very good thing that there are shades on each one that the customer can lower for themselves because it can get pretty hot with the sun in the South.
The waitress was friendly, patient and knowledgeable. She took my child seriously as he ordered for himself and interacted with him as though he were any other customer, making him feel all grown up!
The portions were large and tasted good. Everything was served hot and quickly. The waitress came around often to check on us and top coffee up.
They have two types of hot sauce, Tabasco and Frank's. They also have HP Sauce too! Yum!
If you are needing a quick breakfast this restaurant does the trick!

Ny husband and I were visiting from Winnipeg and needed a good breakfast to take to our friend in the cancer centre close by. The breakfast and the staff was awesome. The restaurant is right off the main drag, #16. So convenient! They also are one of the few places who have blueberry syrup. A bit pricey but worth it! đź‘Ś
BEST restaurant experience with take out I've ever had. They wrote funny jokes on my containers and labeled them amazingly. There was a container of bacon they drew a pig on and said "oink". So cute!!
Delicious food, always fantastic service, lots of parking and easy to get to. Pork chubbies and waffles are amazing. We’ve been ordering take out and they take great care that everything is always right. Family owned for a long time so really nice to be able to support them, you can tell they really appreciate it and value their customers.
Decided to stop here in lieu of Denny's and was not disappointed. Food and eggs Benedict were delicious, and portion sizes were good. Coffee was also shockingly good and they left the pot at the table which was excellent. Slightly more expensive than Denny's, but you're supporting a smaller franchise and can feel good about it. Would return no doubt.
Did I mention the waitress ran out after us because one of my party left his leftover box? Top notch.
Still the immovable quality, the terrific service from much the same old team. Thank you and congratulations to Marion, Mel and team. One of those important examples and symbols of how the world used to be, and what made us who we are. So nice to see it preserved and guarded. A tremendous business still in every way. Mr Tetrault would be super proud....
Loved having s nice breakfast. Stay super friendly. Didn't feel rushed to finish. Food great and they made my omlette to order just how I liked it
I've been coming here for close to 30 years. Ever since I was a toddler. The food is just as good now as it was back then. I missed it during covid, but they did(and still do I think) Uber eats so I got my fix that way but it wasn't the same without the heated syrup or the coffee carafe that you get when you order a coffee. Now that they're back and fully open, it was the first place we wanted to go. I do like the addition of the separation walls between the booths, which gives you a bit more privacy. Be sure to get to Phil's early though, because it gets busy.
