This place is great. It looks like a small takeout place from the outside but it is definitely bigger on the inside.
They have an abundance of pizzas making it hard to decide.
We ordered two classic ones (Hawaiian and Greek) to stay and it took less than 15 minutes to get to our table. The pizza is delicious and exactly what we were hoping for. It’s also the perfect personal pizza size.
Next time we will order online before we arrive so we can just walk in and eat!
Great pizza!
We got their original crust, which feels like a deep dish pizza, but individual sized. The crust was crispy and chewy and just excellent- and it turned out great on our pizza stone at home too. (Which we totally had the next day, because it was just SO good we couldn't wait longer!)
We tried their Ala Mo Wana, Greek Mykonos (my favourite!), Italian Sausage, and Mile High (quality of the meat itself could have been better, seemed like cheap sandwich meat), and my little sister had their kids cheese.
The location is a bit out of the way for us, but we'll definitely be back, and will probably stock up and try to refrain from eating them all at once again. xD
Though, I do agree with what others have said, it was a bit off putting that their boxes were covered with religious propaganda. It seemed really unnecessary and inappropriate, just focus on making good pizza, not your religious agenda please.
Love grabbing a few of these pizzas to have on hand in the freezer. The crust is perfectly crispy and there is tons of variety to please everyone.
I love this place, it's not posh, it's not a hipster joint, it's a working mans pizza joint and it's awesome. I can't say it's the best pizza ever but for what their idea is, they definitely do it well. Always fresh, quick and never disappointing.
Let's get to the banana bread with cream cheese filling. It's to die for, if you get one, it'll be gone in minutes. I always wanna bring it home and eat with milk but that rarely works out. If you hit up coco brooks, make sure you get one, or two.
Love the Calzones and banana pizza dessert. Reminds us abit of back home. If only the calzones were abit larger. However, having said that they are a good size, very full and flavourful.
The desserts are amazing and the prices are good.
Great pizza lots of choices but order BEFORE you go! Long wait!
Banana Bread yumm. Hot wing pizza and banana bread are awesome.
Yum but Bum. Thumbs up since the food was good.
Sad face because I ordered a Hot Wing and Louisiana and received a Hot Wing and Hawaiian. We did take out, so by the time we discovered the error we were too far away.
Amazing pizzas !!! I tried .... Amazing pizzas !!!
I tried the Louisiana style.
It was fresh , hot , spicy and single serve
I just loved it!
Great pizza. I have had pizza at every joint in Calgary since moving here when I was 9. And for the size and price, Coco Brooks is best hands down. What surprises me are people who compare coco to restaraunt style pizza and steak houses. This is not that, so dont compare it as that. This is the fast food version of a pizza joint, not a family restauraunt. Famly pizza night goes to Red Carpet for me, but as a lunch and a personal pizza....Coco Brooks wins. And for those of you giving a bad review just cuz of the boxes....you dont have to read them. And some of us enjoy the stories they bring to us at lunch.
One of the best pizzas you'll ever eat. The crusts are to die for- so don't you dare get thin crust, and make sure you try the "bacon double cheese" (burger) pizza!
Much better than the big chain stores. Nice variety of pies and great tasting ingredients. You wont go wrong here
Great Pizza!. Coco Brooks is one of Calgary's finest Pizza Place.
I love their creativeness especially the writings outside the pizza boxes.
What hamburger is to Peter's Drive is what
Pizza is to Coco Brooks!
Calzones!. FINALLY! A place in Calgary that makes a decent calzone! I will grant that having grown up with calzones and pizza from New Jersey does raise the bar pretty high, but this place has got the flavor and texture down. Not a ricotta calzone, but it's quite hard to find those done correctly anyway. Plenty of meats and cheese. Quite happy to find this at last!
Just great pizza!. I'm not a big pizza guy,but this is one place i continually order from because it's so damn tasty!
Love the spinach grande..always a favorite of mine and the italian sausage is yummy too.
You're better off to order for pick up if you have the time that way you miss the line ups because it does get busy at lunchtime.
Even if you do walk in and sit down, you never have to wait very long anyway.
Have'nt had a bad pie there yet and the staff are very friendly.
Some people complain about the stories on the boxes but i find them a nice change from the negativity you read in the paper everyday...keep it up!
One of the Best Fast Food Joints. You should eat it fresh! Their pizzas are fresh and baked to order. I really like their basic pizzas and their smoothies.
Awesome. The Mexican is really good. For 6 bucks you can't beat it. Blow's all the other chain's away. Pizza 4.5 out of 5.
I love this place!. I love the pizza here. Probably the best pizza in the city! Big Al's meat calzone is my favorite.
Even a Chicagoan likes it. I'm from Chicago, where pizza was perfected and still reigns. In a world of internet recipes, you'd think Calgary could make a good Chicago pizza. Haven't quite found that, but I do love, love, love Coco Brooks' pizza. So satisfying. Wonderful crust. I cook, so I don't eat out often, but when I do, I like to get value for my money. I haven't been able to perfect a deep dish pizza for my family, so I'll give Calgary a break, and in the meantime, let's all enjoy Coco Brooks!
The Best Pizza Outside of Italy. I do not like pizza however the pizza at Coco Brooks is the best pizza outside of Italy. There are many choices and even the pickiest vegan can find something they'll enjoy.
Wonderful. Pizza is always fresh and tasty, excellent service, good price for what you get
highly recommended
They "lost" my order and didn't really care. Generally, good pizza however. I've been here before and was happy. Not today, though.
Good Pizza. Great Pizza, love all the choices. The Hot Wing, Buffalo Ranch, Cheeseburger and Big Al's are some of the best. Silly Boxes, wish they would keep their opinions to themselves.
Three words: Banana Bread Pizza. Try it. Best thing since a real pizza, and get extra creme if you can.....yummy.
Their Philly and Louisiana chicken are great too.
Nice place once in a while, if its out of the way for ya, make at least one trip and try it.
I wouldn't say its the best pizza out there in Calgary but for a change of pace, you won't be disappointed, and if you are make sure you get the Banana Bread Pizza to clear your disappointment away.
Loved it forever. I have been going here for many years, and they never dissapoint. I usually get the Louisiana Chicken, although sometimes venturing out to get a Philly calzone or a ranch chicken. They have expanded their menu ALOT in the past two years, but I have yet to try most of the items.
Salad is better. I have been here before and had an not so good experiance. The office ordered for lunch so I thought lets go with the safe bet...Salad...It was ok the bread bowl was not too bad a great suprise for sure. Have I changed my mind yes and may give them a 3rd try.
GLUTEN-FREE?. I ENJOY COCO- BROOKS-however I don't understand how it can be gluten-free- even the salads come in a bread bowl??
So much better than supermarket frozen. I became a "member" here as the result of being sick of frozen pizzas from the supermarket. and having two kids living with me who bled pizza sauce.
The selection is fairly good and I like the single serving model with it's own pan, although I often find the pizzas don't come out easily and tear from being stuck to the bottom or sides.
We like the Louisiana Chicken and Bacon Double Cheese for kids, and I prefer the Double Pep and Greek.
If you buy frozen pizza you should look at Coco Brooks.
The crust is fairly tasty and while I don't find the sauce to be all that great it is better than many other I've tried
Plenty of choices. I can see the appeal of Coco Brooks pizza. Inexpensive and quite delicious with almost everything on the menu cheaper than $8. Avoiding the large pan pizza, Coco Brooks specializes in personal pizzas that you can eat in store or take home to cook for yourself.
For a quick dinner, the Mile High pizza was filling for me and choosing to eat it in the restaurant it was piping hot. The quality of the ingredients were fresh, with generous portions of meat and cheese. And not just serving pizzas, Coco Brooks also serves other Italian dishes. My wife got the half noodles and sauce which was perfect for her. Overall good quality food, that hit the spot.
Plenty of sitting space at the family restaurant we saw more than one large family take their kids for an outting there. But due to the nature of freshly cooked pizza, it took about 15 to 20 minutes for our pies. So our quick stop in was a bit longer than expected, but still worth it.
A side note: The company itself also seems to have a great sense of social responsibility, their packaging of their food has a number of positive messages on them and I gotta love a restaurant that goes through so much cardboard boxes and sets up blue recycling bins everywhere.
