If you are reading this hope I will help you. I was like 50/50 to go there on reading other comments. Please don’t look at the comment with only one star where peoples are just angry about the life. We went there around 8.30 during ramadan. The waitress was very nice with us. She explained well how work the menu what they are couscous or tajine. We knew that because we try before. Us choice was beef tajine and couscous for two. Take a look on my pics. Enjoy this good place and food.

Food is always delicious. This restaurant is truly something magical in calgary. As you walk in you get the feel of morroco with the decor, music. The chef is the owner of the restaurant very friendly.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars!! My husband took me here for a date night. Everything was absolutely TOP notch all the way from the ambience, service and food. We immediately felt welcomed as soon as we walked in. The waitress was especially attentive and made our experience very memorable. The decor and ambience was extremely romantic and relaxing and made me feel like I had left on a vacation and went to another country. The food…OMG every single bite was bursting with flavor! Something for everyone including lots of VEGAN options. Will be going back on a regular basis for sure!!!

My dining experience was summed up by very tasty Moroccan food, but the food alone was not enough to save the unfortunate service. Me and my group all ordered the Sultans Feasts - a great deal for the amount of food you get. But, after 2 hours we had only been served the soup and salad. By the time the meal was done, we had been there for over 3 hours, which was not anticipated for our night out. On top of the long delays with our food, the server we had was quite socially awkward. She kept calling us Camels when refilling our water cups, even after the joke didn't land the first time. She also kept calling the couscous royale "sexy", which was very...interesting. Her serving style did not match our group, and it was not conducive to a relaxing evening out with the family.

Went in with family from out of town and the service was the worst we've ever had. The server did not clear our tables before the food arrived, and when it did arrive a few orders were missing, she didn't even notice until we asked for the cheque and told her not to include the missing items. Prices are expensive for what you get, portions are small, the food was not good we didn't even finish it. We ordered the fish which was OLD and when we mentioned it to her she replied with "it's actually cooked fresh...from frozen" and it came with only 2 pieces or prawns. Needless to say we will never be going there again. And I warn others of the same thing.

Such an amazing experience. We’ve never had Moroccan food so we decided to order the Sultans Feast so we could try a bit of many things. It was well worth it. She started us with the soup, followed by a plate with multiple different salads. After that we got an appy (of our choosing), followed by our chosen starters; a beef tajine and the chicken on couscous. Following that we got the chocolate mousse and braewat finishing with the Moroccan Mint tea. I would recommend this to anyone! The flavours were phenomenal, the atmosphere was fun and the people were even better. We had an amazing server. We’ll be back!

Food was absolutely amazing. Service was truly one of the most awkward and laborious experiences I've ever had while dining out. My party of 7 all ordered the Sultan's Feast to make things simple. Even getting our orders taken took forever. Our server seemed really scattered and unsure. After 2 hours we hadn't even gotten our main course. There was probably 45 mins between soup and salad, and then another 45 between salad and main course, and then same between that and dessert. That's not including eating time. The whole evening took over 3 hours. Also, the server's tone just didn't match the overall vibe of the place. One example: literally every time she came to refill our waters, she'd crack a joke about how we were all camels and clearly dehydrated and made us feel awkward for drinking water. Camel comment felt especially weird from a white woman serving in a Morrocan restaurant. Great food, cool ambiance, reaaaally bad service. Won't be back for a while.
