Review Mug Shotz Sports Bar & Grill - Calgary

Jay En
100% best wing night place in Calgary. Wednesday's 12$/lb is totally worth it despite it sounding kind of expensive, the portions are definitely larger than a pound and wings are breaded and juicy and waaayyyyy bigger than anywhere else in Calgary. My visit was extremely crowded and staff still managed to seat us within 20 minutes and provided prompt and attentive service. Will definitely be back and am excited to try other menu items!

Had a cool vibe and the food was very good! The plate of all dressed fries was huge and cut well! The wings were good sized and the dry ribs (pepper and lemon) were very zingy! The place had a dive feel and lots of screens for watching whatever game was on. The location isn’t busy but you should definitely check it out. Staff are friendly. They say there’s line ups on Wednesdays usually!

The best wings and some of the best service we have ever had. Came last night with a group of 6 and tried tons of different flavours. Although all were amazing, the most mentionable were the sour cream and onion, garlic parm and the dill pickle. We live across the city from here but this will definitely be our new place and is worth the drive.
John Pilon
Best wings in Calgary by far, they're insane! The wings are always big, good quality and cooked perfectly. Plus they have a ton of flavours...all of which have legitimate toppings or sauces, not just flavoured popcorn powder like other places use.
K Sangha
The actual wings themselves were amazing, just the right amount of juicy and crispy, but the flavours were a bit off in my opinion, we got: Hot 5/10, not really hot at all, never tasted this type of ‘hot’ before, hard to explain BBQ 5/10 too saucy, we ordered bbq hot but didn’t taste any hot so wondering if the order got mixed up S&P 10/10 came out on top of sautéed green peppers and onions that tasted delicious Cajun 6/10 nothing special Service was so amazing, the blond haired woman was so sweet I’d like to come back and try some other flavours that I might like better
Natasha Sutherland
Best wings in Calgary, hands down. The Staff are always great, and the wings are a decent size with many flavors to choose from.
Jesse Robertson
I am specifically writing this review to let everyone know that this place by far has the best wings in Calgary, and some other amazing menu items. I've been coming here with my mom (87) for about 3 years now, and every time its even better than the last. One of our favourite servers is ally, she's the one with the butterfly tattoo on her chest. anytime she sees my mom coming in she always drops whatever she is doing and comes over to help her up the stairs. she has always made us feel like family, and given us some amazing recommendations along the way. Thank you for a guaranteed amazing experience anytime we sit down. we look forward to seeing you soon!

So many flavors and all the ones I tried were amazing. The Wednesday wing special is a great deal. The staff are very friendly and lots of screens to watch sports on.
Deanna Lee
This hidden gem has the best wings anywhere and friendly staff. They can get super busy, but the staff do their best and while I'm a person who lacks a little in the patience department, I'll wait for my food here as long as it takes! Highly recommend!! Keep up the superb job!
Brandon Keilback
Now wings are ruined for me from anywhere else in the city, by far the best wings I've ever had. Good price on the platters. Service was good, fast never had an empty beer the whole time we were there. Will be back without a doubt.
Courtney Hawthorne
Once you have these wings no others compare! My favourite are the Mug Shotz salt and pepper, dill pickle, and roasted red pepper and garlic. Staff is always friendly. Gets very busy but worth the wait every time!
Serge Doucet
Been going here for awhile now,,,one of the best places for wings although there is another good place in town but won't post on here,,,,wings are great & good staff. For the one about the staff,,, give them a break they get busy & maybe they were short handed that nite
Kim Philps
Great friendly staff, quick service on a busy night, and the BEST wings ever!! This place will be a regular for us!
Amy Rose
Amazing food and wonderful service. The wings were the best wings I’ve ever had and the owner is sooooo nice!
Alisa New
5 stars for the food, -2 for everything else. The service is terrible! We've been waiting for a box and our bill for 10 minutes and the waitress is getting other tables stuff. Never checked on us, was stuck in a corner and kind of forgot about. My drink wasn't very good either. The bathroom needs a good dusting, and the place needs a small upgrade. But the food, DEVINE!
Todd Cooper
1st visit; awesome food, great service & lots of room! Only negative is a line up if your need to pay your tab with a card.
Trevor Peters
A local wing bar with some character and great people sitting up at the wood! I was recommended the Salt"n"pepper wings as the house favourite according to the bar tender and was not disappointed! A local draught lager brew was on tap and their own signature brand and was again please. It's a definite "You gotta eat here joint!" Next time in Calgary I'll be back!

First time visiting this venue, joined a group of moms for an after meeting get together. Showed up minutes before kitchen closed and table had already ordered, wasn't able to add anything to the order, service was not friendly and slow (we were one of 3 tables there). Advised they aren't suppose to, but she can get me a drink as I was joining the table that was already there. So gracious to offer a patron a drink after 30+mins. Wins were good but service was terrible
Dan Miller
Best wings in the city/province/country/possibly world and thats not an understatement
Tom Feodoroff
The only problem with having wings at Mug Shotz is that you will never be satisfied with wings at any other establishment.
Les Chute
I was incredibly disappointed with both the service and the food. I would not list this as one of the best wing places in Calgary and the atmosphere is very ghetto.
Faizal Kassam
Great place to grab some beefy wings. Def going back to try other flavors. Overall other menu items looks good too!!
Norm Fudger
Mugshots have the best wings in Calgary and the staff are awesome, keep up the good work guy's. If you haven't been there to enjoy a great environment and great food then you are missing out on a good thing.
Patty Phillips
Best wings in Calgary,,,,, especially Mug Stotz Salt & Pepper! Yum yum! Hubby loves the whiskey bacon maple,,,,, delish,,,,,,!!
Codi Kingdon
Really tasty pub food and of course the chicken wings are outta this world! I do find that the service here kinda sucks... Maybe the food makes up for it? I still have the decided 😁
Chmacdaddy
The wings are soooo good. I've never experienced wings like theirs before. So far, I've tried: Mug Shotz Salt & Pepper, Louisiana Garlic Parmaesan, Teriyaki & Sweet Chilli. All were delicious! Other notable items are their hamburgers & cheese bread. They can get very busy at times & the staff have always had it under full control from what I've seen during the many times dining here. Always friendly too. Thumbs up!!
Icecreamaddictyyc
Best wings in Calgary in my opinion. <br/><br/>They have deal everyday and their wing’s night is so busy! <br/><br/>Wings comes with so many flavors and my personal favorite is teriyaki suicide. <br/><br/>Everything else but wings are just normal pup stuff but wings are on point!<br/><br/>If is a pub, however they close pretty early so you may want to check opening hour before you go:)
TMM
Wow! How many different flavored wings can you eat at one sitting? Group of four, we tried 8 different flavors and not a single one was a disappointment! Garlic parmesan, Dill Pickle, Hot, Honey Garlic, Tequila Lime, Black Pepper and Salt, BBQ Hot and Whiskey Malple Bacon. Next time, going to order more to take home!
Alexandsheila
Mugshotz by far has the BEST wings in Calgary.  Its located in an obscure part of town that seems a bit sketchy, but the food is amazing.  We have been going there for years and have never had a bad experience.  They have tons of flavors and are always updating their menu.  Our faves are: Mugshotz Salt and Pepper, Honey Suicide, Louisiana Garlic Parm.  Wing nights can be super busy, so its best to come early.  The staff here are friendly and accommodating.
Ron McCormick
The wings are overpriced compared to other pubs, at about a buck each you could have an entree instead, the place is very busy during wing night ( don't save much 2 bucks off 10.95 for 10 wings) and parking is difficult<br/>
Justess
Good wings with fun flavours but all the extra charges get a little irritating. It was a while ago when I went but it was a fun place, has that dive bar feel, but in a good way!
Hangry In YYC
They are known for their wings for a reason.<br/> Tonnes of flavors to pick from and many of them are unique (ie blueberry - if you like sweet wings, they are pretty tasty). <br/><br/>The place is a little out of the way but that also means there's parking.
JDragon
I think this place is called mug shotz because the servers are either edgy women that you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley, or most likely to win a 'most likely to key someone' s car award. ' That pretty much sums up my experience with these surly bar maiden that served our table. Then again, I read the previous reviews and knew what to expect for customer service. I tried the on tap beer, because why not. It completed the dive bar feel by greeting my palate with a slightly sour taste. We came on wing night for the platter. We had the all dressed, Louisiana garlic parm suicide, and sour cream and onion add bacon. In fairness, the wings are as good as everyone says. Sour cream had dollops of cream and onions... Amazing
Kamster Wong
Amazing wings, their grilled cheese is excellent and love their Caesar salad. This is a great place to eat. The location of this place is hard to find. Dark and looks like a classic watering hole, good comfort food and friendly service.
Anthony Schächer
Ironically they are called mug shotz and then they have zero draught beer. Confused. Feels like if i swear i will get in trouble. Decor is confused as though they wanted to go upscale while being a beer joint.<br/>
Stew Burner
It looks kind of dumpy, but the wings were great the beer was cold and i was with good company, had great time enjoyed all the different flavors, certainly worth a visit when you want some informal snacks and fun
Nicole Justine
We have only ever had the wings here but they are probably the best we've had! Their dill pickle wings are delicious and the fact they put little pieces of pickles on them instead of dill pickle powder is fantastic! We've also had medium, Cajun and one of their specialty ones and they have all been excellent!
YYCFoodie
I think I have found my favourite wings place! <br/><br/>My friends brought us here for wings Wednesday's. We didn't know what to expect but we followed GPS to here, we thought it was so sketchy! But you know a place is good when it's in an odd location and packed. We had to wait 15-20 mins when we got here shortly after 7pm. <br/><br/>The menu for wings is extensive and many awesome flavours. Between the 4 of us, we each ordered 2 flavours. The whiskey maple bacon definitely sounded better than it tasted, it was drenched in whiskey causing a very a bitter taste. The sour cream and onion with added bacon was easily my favourite. I crave them as I type this! overall, the wings are good sized and most flavours were fun to try.<br/><br/>The service wasn't the best. No smiles and took a long time to order. We were ready to order our food at the same time as our drinks but the waitress stopped is and said she'll take it later. Disappeared for 15+ mins then came back to take our food order. I think an explanation of why she couldn't take it at the same time would've been nice. When we asked for the bill, it never came so we just went up to pay. I understand it can be busy, but I have worked in the service industry in a very busy pub as well. The service could definitely use some improvement. <br/><br/>Unfortunately I got too excited and didn't take many photos of the wings. But I will add more next time as the wings are definitely worth another trip!
Jennifer Boyer
A dive bar with AMAZING wings. My favourite that I had were the dill hot... They were hot wings with dill topped with chopped up pickles. Amazing right? One of the flavours our table got that were a huge hit were the salt & pepper suicide. They came with sautéed peppers & onions. Really cool! The quality of chicken is also very good.
Alan Fruitman
When I moved to Calgary I heard this was the place to go for wings, was extremely hard to find cuz it's behind a building in a strip mall in an industrial building. Once there I though it was a little rough around the edges dive bar but the wings are definitely worth the trip. I had a chat with the owner and she was awesome and even remembered me when I hadn't gone back for awhile. Hands down BEST WINGS IN CALGARY!!!
Scruffle
We went here from the farmers market because everyone said the wings were gold. Liked the dive vibe, it's a nice spot. It's a good place to have a beer. But the wings? Meh. They're wings. And $10 a pound isn't exactly cheap when you can get them for 10 cents. And these are the same old same old...
Tricia's Choice
Stopped in for some wings at Mug Shots enroute to the south. The waitress upsold us for the 5 pound special that came with 3 flavour choices. The wings were very tasty and juicy. Perfect with beer. We had lots to bring home for an evening snack!
Sashi De Boer
The best wings I've ever tasted from anywhere! A good selection of wines, surprisingly. And we enjoy the fun atmosphere and friendly staff. Nice little find close to Inglewood! Must try their wings!!
Heather Gummo
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, so much of the best food I’ve eaten comes from places without beautiful decor or a high end price tag. That is definitely true when it comes to Mug Shotz, a bar in Calgary’s South East that’s about as divey as they come. With one of the city’s radio stations, complete with ads, playing over the speakers, splotchy formica tables, and fluorescent lighting, Mug Shotz isn’t a place you come for the ambience, or for Instagram-worthy food photos. It is, however, a place you come for the wings.
Hitting The Sauce
My sister-in-law, Turned, wanted to celebrate my upcoming birthday. She asked me where I wanted to go. To Mug Shotz Sports Bar! Our party of six – my husband, two brother-in-laws and a future sister-in-law made the trek out to Ogden. We arrived at 7:00pm on a Friday night. The whole place was packed. We managed to get a table and ordered nine different types of wings: Mugz Shot Salt and Pepper; Hot; Honey Hot; Soy Sensation; Dill Pickle Hot; Louisiana Galic Parmesan; Sultry Ginger; Bacon Whiskey; and Thai Suicide.

Best wings I have had in Calgary. <br/>They are meaty and the flavour selection is amazing. I have only tried five flavours but they were all equally delicious. The saucy ones are perfectly and the dry ones are flavourful and seasoned perfectly. The staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely go here. Order the wings.

Very disappointed. I have been going there for the last 6 months on wing nite and the occasional sat. All have been great. Last nite was awful. I have had the chilly lime wings before. And last nite they gave me some thing else. Franks hot sauce an a lime. So i made a comment an she the new waitress wanted to argue an brought out the so called sauce. Not even close to what was served. So i refused to eat them. Not willing to pay for that or them. An when i was leaving i asked for the manager. And the floor manager arrived and claimed she knows nothing of the situation. Still nothing got dealt with. Payed the bill left hungry. So i went to Mc Donald's. . . Maybe next week will be better. Or wait a week or two. Still undecided. Always been good never a complaint. Last nite not sure what happened. They need to fix it. .<br/>The following week i spoke with the manager and she did explain there was a mix up in the kitchen and the server did end up grabbing the wrong orders. Ps the manager that eve was in the kitchen doing quality control. And knows she made a super hot chilly lime wing dish. Apologized about the mix up and made it right. Thank you.

BEST WINGS! Plump and delicious! So many flavours to try that it's hard to pick. We had a plate of the dill pickle and a plate of the greek! Two great choices if you like your wings dry and not saucy! We will definitely be back!
Tkadventures
Came here once with a few friends, we got the honey garlic wings and the maple whiskey bacon wings, they were awesome! Pricing was decent, only downside was that we waited over an hour....
Chad Sexington IV
Had the salt and pepper wings and they came hot, moist and tasty. Maybe not the best wings I've had but certainly the best I've had in Calgary for a long shot. Will come back for the wings but not necessarily for the ambiance.
Melody Z
Roasted red pepper, mango chilli, whisky maple bacon. Three of my favourites. It's really busy but it's is the only place that does wings justice. Consistently good!
Richard Dalia
Wings were not cooked when we took a bite into it - my wife screamed and the waitress didn't even help us out - we surely will not be coming for wings anymore - disgusted
Natasha
The prices are reasonable, the portions are huge and the food is delicious. I can see why they were voted the best wing in Calgary for the past four years. Even the service was excellent. Hats off to Mug Shotz for creating an unforgettable experience.
Kimmy W
...Mug Shotz Grill and Bar is rated best wings in Calgary and has been for multiple years.  So many flavours to choose from, so we picked some classics as well as the adventurous sounding flavours...
Chriswood715
Don't bother. Service sucks wings are Ok but because of service...COLD. Better place when it was the ranch
Chris
Best Wings in the City. The place is a bit of a dive. Really dark inside, no draft beer. But the wings are by far the best I have had in the city.
Tunit
Get the wings. Every time I visit Mug Shotz I have to get the Salt and Pepper wings. They're basically like making chicken wings in the same style as Chinese salt and pepper squid. It's a nice and different touch to wings. However, don't stop there, the variety that exists on the menu is pretty broad. If you like variety in wings there are plenty to explore here and this place is known for them among people "in the know."<br/><br/>The rest of the menu is the fundamental pub food. It'll be enough to satisfy for a meal, but the wings are the experience here. The place isn't huge and I don't think I've ever been there when it's busy, so there aren't a lot of servers available, but they do get around to you. One visit I did get the cheese paper in my sandwich and of course the management comped my meal with no fuss. Usually that's enough for me never to come back, but the wings are good enough for me to return with friends to end an evening.
Alyssa Nicole
One of the worst wings I've ate. They were soggy. As i sat here and tried to enjoy my wings i seen 3 servers standing behind the bar filling their faces with food and then not washing their hands and touching customers straws and drinks. Barf! I don't know why they are rated this high.
Chester Copperpot
Signature Wings Skillet. Signature wings covered with cheese, bacon & jalapeño peppers, then baked in a skillet
Bob
Excellent wings...service not so much. I think the best quality wings in the cow town. They clearly spend more buying higher grade wings.<br/>Order your drinks two at a time and patiently wait for food to arrive
Vicster
Wednesday wing night. I've been coming to Mugs for 3 yrs now. The wings are always good and fresh (not frozen), and have spoiled me for other places. The staff are always really friendly and fast, even on Wednesday when they get swamped. Candice, the main server, knows us by name and remembers our usual order. The nachos are really good and huge, we have never finished them. The clientele is a little redneck/working locals, but as women, we have never been hassled and that really nice.<br/>It's not a fancy place but the food and service are top notched.
Hdom
Good wings but not great, too Asian ??. Went on the Wings nite Wednesday, it wasn't as busy as people say, no line up but still waited over half hour before wings showed up. Wings were not as big as I was lead to believe, 2~3 bites each but the meat was good very tender and guessing no batter was used too which helps. However, the favorites was not as tasty nor as strong as other places and being Asian myself, I felt a lot of the favorites taste too familiar almost. Like the Mugshotz Salt and Pepper is basically a clone of the Chinese style. For other folks it may feel unique but I was looking forward to real Western style and left a bit disappointed. Likely wouldn't be back.
The Unknown Critic
This place clearly pads their own reviews. Tried it three times and disappointed every time. The staff is confrontational if you try to get your meal corrected to how it was ordered.
Bryce
Best wings hands down, first time with 8 buddy's who all have never been and everyone couldn't stop talking about just how good those wings are.
Brenda
WELCOME HOME. We were told about the wings, we saw the Mayor showed up, I really did not want to cook! We followed Ogden road till it almost hits blackfoot from the south. The parking lot was full, it is wednesday and wings are the special. We normally avoid wings, but love crowds. Well it was not crowded, it was large inside, with an old wooden farm kitchen floor, warn and weathered with shuffling of feet over the years, lots of sports pictures on the walls painted and waynescottled, but they do not stand out, and the TV's are not over powering. The tables and chairs are comfortable, the red wine is delicious and the beer is one sale. We order our wings, the house specialty mugs salt and pepper and honey hot, and a salad just to keep everything even. The salad was large filled with assorted vegis, and some nice garlic toast. 7.95 The wings are 8 dollars an order, there are 10 wings. BUT do not let that fool you these are humungous hulk size wings, that take 3 - 5 bites to eat, and are delicious with flavor not with salt and drenched in spice or sauce. These are the delectable end of delicious and must be given a shot, so that you will walk out and start planning your next review, cause I know you will want to...... ENJOY and cheers!!!
Alex
Mugshotz great amazing what else to say love the beer food and music they play. My only complaint is lack of communication from the servers to customers I wish they would listen more once they got my order wrong 3 times I think they need to be more organized with there wing system and not mess up as much I think they need to try harder and focus on what really matters the customers and them being happy e
Katrina Thomas
Mugshotz has a great environment and amazing food always happy costumers and a great place to chat with new people service is always happy and always happy waitresses the only bad experience I've ever had was when I used my credit card to pay and only had 4 dollars to tip we stayed for another hour and the complaint of the tip being to small came into play from now on I only come when I have cash to tip more than ten dollars that's a really big disappointment to me because I love the food at mugshotz and usually eat lots every time me and my friends come here we buy 165 dollars worth of food or drinks so I don't really understand why the tip would matter at that certain point
Joann
Yum. Going there this afternoon, looking forward to every morsel. the wings are big and very tasty. the only bad thing that I can say about the food is that it is difficult to make a decision on the wing flavours.
Ptincalgary
My wife and I have visited several times and have never been disappointed. This visit will be particularly memorable because the wings were absolutely perfect. We arrived before 5 pm on a Wednesday evening (their busiest night). We have stood in line when arriving later. I tried the Raspberry Chipotle for the first time. Spot on, and I normally stay away from the gooey sauces. My usual standby, Black Pepper and Salt was there too. Bottom line, we have never had plumper, more tender wings at Mug Shotz, and remember, we have never been disappointed. New rule, get there before the rush.
Lis
When offering refills on pop it would be nice to be notified that refills ARE NOT free. $9 for fountain pop is ridiculous.

Fabulous Wings. I was very fortunate to have been invited to a friends birthday get together last Thursday at Mug Shotz. I loved this place, the server Carrie was amazing and the wings were spectacular. I will be back and with out a doubt, have absolutely no problem recommending this establishment. Best wings hands down in Calgary
Sylvs
Yummy!. Last night was my first time and I loved it! We had the Mug Shotz Salt & Pepper, Sultry Ginger, Sour Cream & Onion, Dill Pickle, Hot, Sweet Chili Thai, & Garlic Parmesan. <br/><br/>We will be back for sure!
Hipstorian
Best wings in town!. I'm not one for wing nights. I find that the wings are often dried out, oily, or just plain unappetizing, and so often they are drenched in nasty sauces from a bottle. Such is not the case at Mug Shotz. I've been several times now, and I've yet to be disappointed. The wings take time to come out, and cost more than they do elsewhere on wing nights, but they show up piping hot, crisp on the outside, and juicy inside. The flavours are also fantastic, creative, and not from a bottle. I love the Louisiana parm, the dill pickle, and the Mug Shotz salt and pepper. If you're there with a few pals, get the three flavour platter.
Dave
Fan960 is BS. I went to Mugshotz last night and was thoroughly disappointed. Yes, that had lots of wing flavours, however the wings style (meat, size etc) was comparable to other good wings places (Regal Beagle for example), but the price was ludicrous. It was "Wing Night" and it still cost my friend and I $16 for two pounds of wings. 2 pounds was 19 wings. I felt robbed after spending so many Wednesdays Wing nights paying $3 for 12 wings at other establishments.<br/><br/> I've gotta say that Mugshotz being voted Best Wings by Fan960 is purely a marketing/sponsorship ploy. I was sorely disappointed.<br/><br/>I suppose the wings quality for taste and presentation and flavor variety is really good at Mugshotz, but at $16 for 2 pounds, I'd just as soon get a pizza or a beef dip somewhere. If you are looking for good wings at a high price, go to Mugshotz, if you are looking for a good "Wing Night", look elsewhere.
Ricosuave
Great wings.. Many great flavors. Fan 960 is right, best in the city.<br/><br/>But it is a dive-y looking place in the middle of Ogden, so...
Derek M
We went there on Saturday Feb. 16. They were not open. No idea as there is recent reviews

Great Wings. If you can find this pub in the middle of industrial inglewood, you will be treated with some really good wings!<br/><br/>I found a slight variation of my coveted Chili & lime wings which are hard to find since the hose and hound do not carry them anymore i have been searchign all over for similar wings.<br/><br/>This pub has a pretty close good tasting version of them, different for sure. drinks were reasonably priced and service was pretty good!<br/><br/>I recommend people check out this hiden gem.
Derd The Terd
Drove across town only to find that the place was closed for two weeks because the owners were on vacation. What the heck. I understand we all need a vacation, but it's a business, hire capable staff and keep the place open. Kind of goes along with the slow service when it is open. Spend the money and do it right.
Bonfim
Great wings and drink specials. Worth the trip!
Star
After coming to mug shots for the first time, based solely on the advertising and reputation, we were exceptionaly disappointed by the wait times and not necessarily the service . When we asked the poor overworked server if someone had called in sick, to our horror and dismay she responded with "no, this is it, just the two of us" and that it is scheduled this way. We will likely not return, though not a result of the food but rather the audacity of the owners raking <br/>in the dough and putting two servers and two cooks to fend off over a hundred hungry mouths. Very disappointed.
J
Best place for wings?. Very awesome wings, I think their pricing system is getting laughable now. It has gone up every so often and now "wing deal" isn't much of a deal compared to other places, but the price is worth it! When it comes to size and flavour variety this place is the best. Some things to know, they do the BS of not telling you pop refills aren't free. They do this so they can charge more. It's cheap and makes them look cheap. Also, the atmosphere leads a lot to be desired. Service is good tho, aside from purposely not telling you about refills.<br/><br/>Yes it will get busy during wing night and yes if you go later it will leave a sour taste as the service will be bogged down and the tables will be few and far between. Go early!
Jan And Terry
Hi...my bf and I head there Wednesday for wing night. Best wings in town by far. Mikes wings and dill pickle are a few of our fav's. Excellent atmosphere for those of you that enjoy the biking scene. Awesome place.
Jason Angello Seitanidis
Great wings, good job guys .... Great wings, good job guys<br/>Will be back again
Glenda
I am a regular there and the service is getting worse and worse . An hour and a half for wings..... really and same for potatoe skins.
Croxamus
THE BOMBA!!! Awsome wings, bit if a wait, and good luck getting a seat after 6pm, but well worth it! Mug shotz salt and pepper are a must bust!!!
Carnivore
The wings are good as is the service, but please can we get some draught beer!!

This place is a hidden gem. If you can get past the dark parking lot and through the doors you will find a sports pub with dart boards, big screen T.V.s and Calgary Flames swag on every wall. I have lived in Calgary all my life, and have never heard of this place until a friend ate there and just could not stop raving about the food. After verifying his testimony against the reviews found on one of my favourite websites www.hotwings.ca, the ratings alone convinced me that it was worth a try. I was forewarned that this place was a hole in the wall hidden deep within Calgary's industrial area, but I knew from experience that the best dishes can be found in places where you least expect.<br/><br/>Mug Shotz, without a doubt lived up to it's name for their wings. Fried to perfection, the flavours were not only in the sauce but embedded in each bite of the chicken wing. Every flavour we tried was unique on it's own. My favourite was the Mug Shots salt and pepper which consists of an exquisite combination of flavours resembling Chinese salt and pepper squid. Everything from onions and chilli flakes to julienne red and green peppers, a definite must-try for your first time. They have been rated the best wings in Calgary for a reason, try it out, you won't regret it.
TranD
Good wings!. The wings here come in big size and very well and equally flavored with sauce, not like a lot of places where they just carelessly dump sauce onto one half of the wings and left the other half plain. <br/>My favorite flavor are the mug shotz salt&pepper , mango chili and dill pickle <br/>I also like how they have special on wings pretty much everyday. <br/>Their wings are definitely good but they do need some reno to the exterior of the pub . Too sketchy !!
Sarah
We went for wing night and wow were they ever delicious!!! The service was pretty slow and the bathroom could definItely use an update. However, it was all worth it for the unique flavours of wings!
Laurie_bascom
Friday Night Wings. AMAZING WINGS!!!! Found this place and will never go anywhere else. Busy yes...slow sometimes yes but i don't mind sitting around with friends relaxing and waiting for goodness.. See you Friday
Ccapmugshotz
Owner. I can assure you that our pub is a very clean establishment. We are a Mom and Pop place that takes pride in everything at Mug Shotz. I can promise you that if food hits the floor it would only end up in the garbage. We work very hard to keep our quality of food and service top notch. If you visit us and there is an issue please bring it to our attention, it will be corrected on the spot. Maybe Jone is a disgruntled ex employee, or a competitor? Please come and judge us for yourself, you won't be disapointed.
Jone
Mugshots is the worst bar ever! I have seen them drop food on the floor and just pick it up and give it to people I watch one sever yell at people and the one thing I hate the most and they are very un clean there for a bar it's gross and should be shut down Or fixed up better !

Fantastic Wings. We have been on the hunt for the best wings in Calgary and I think we finally hit the jackpot! Mug Shotz is in a small strip mall across from the Crossroads Farmers Market. Don't let the outer facade fool you, great wings are to be had inside this little joint. Huge, juicy, crispy, lovely wings in tons of spectacular flavours. Louisiana Garlic Parm, Lemon Pepper, Dill Pickle, Pineapple Mandarin Sweet and Sour, Greek...and the list goes on. Yuuummmmmy!. Great service and prices are a bonus. Thank you Mug Shotz.

Great Wings!. Fantastic variety of wings. Quality wings, great size with a lot of meat. We had the Tequila Lime, Raspberry Chipotle, Dill Pickle, Hot & Sweet, Salt & Pepper and Thai Sweet Chili and they were all great. The Chipolte were good, but our favorite were the Tequila Lime. We will be back!

Worst Service Ever. Really busy wing night, Bartender disappeared, no drinks for over 30 min after they were ordered... then they weren't happy hour priced (even though their happy hour is overpriced anyway) Even after our waitress explicitly said that because we ALL ordered them before happy hour was over they would be on special. <br/><br/>Wings took forever, and they were only mediocre, and overpriced for a wing night. Waitresses were swearing, and curing. Generally understaffed. Oh and the drink my friend was told was on for happy hour was still $13 for a double. Bunk.

Wings taste like REAL chicken, amazing flavours and great presentation and garnish! All with a great price. Definitely a repeat place.

Thanks Mug Shots!!!! I can't and won't go for wings any where else now you set the bar for wings at a level that I don't see being touched again

Wing Night Wednesday. Yumm! We usually try o go to Mugshots once every month or two on Wednesday for Wings. They have a ton of flavors and new ones every week ,and cheap beers!! ($3.25 I believe.. which is unheard of in Calgary) The location isnt the greatest but it is definitely worth the trip.

They have been rated the best wings in Calgary for a reason, try it out, you won't regret it.

The wings were great. Massive and cheap and great flavours.

...we decided we would try their Dill Pickle Wing which was another amazing wing. If you love pickles, this is definitely the wing to order! As gross as it looks and kind of sounds, it’s really amazing!
