Review Jerusalem Shawarma - Calgary

Our first time visiting with my friend and our meals were amazing! The kitchen and dining area were so clean! Our service was fast and super friendly, I can't say how good our whole meal experience was :) the guys are so hospitable, I wish other restaurants learned to welcome costumers the way these guys do! Keep up the excellence and I'll def be back with friends!

This place has the best shawarma I have tried. The food is fresh and flavourful, size is good even for two persons. I tried the dish number 5 in the menu and was amazing. Also the garlic potatoes. Place is clean and welcoming. I recommend it😊

The food here is always consistently fresh and cooked with care, the plates offer so much variety and freshness! The staff is always very kind and punctual with online orders for pick up too. If I could rate them higher than five stars at this location I would! I will continue to be a regular customer here! Food of this taste, portion size and quality for my dollar is difficult to find! I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Platter. You get a large portion of food from the restaurant from the salad to the sauces and of course the chicken. The platter is very delicious compared to other shawarma places with the different sauces, the flavouring of the chicken and the combination of the different elements. The only improvements I could see being made were with the pita and the rice. The pita needs to be bigger, puffy/fluffy, and have more taste. The rice seemed to resemble biryani rice as opposed to traditional shawarma rice. Not a huge expert on the rice, but there was a difference to it compared to all the shawarma I have had. Overall though, it was an excellent shawarma platter.

Came here for dinner and the food was lit 🔥🔥🔥 We ordered chicken shawarma and a lamb and chicken shawarma plate and it was soooo good. The ingredients are fresh, the portions are perfect, the place is aesthetic and the people are lovely. We loved it and will be back!

This place is terrible. I ordered a beef donair and they forgot the donair meat. Brutal service and no acknowledgement of messing up the order when I tried to let them know that the had forgotten the ingredient that the meal is named after.

So good! =) We had the mixed platter. The toppings were fresh, salad zesty, potato creamy, garlic butter light and fluffy, and the hummus very smooth and tangy. Everything in the platter was just really good. Would definitely go back and try other items on the menu.

My family and I had our supper on Jan. 12, the food was just average but not good. It's not actually worth going back there. The whole place was very smokey, it was very hard to breath, all we were inhaling was smoke, we felt suffocated, not a good place to go to if you have asthma.

AMAZING FOOD, friendly staff!! This is my go-to for donair. Everyone in my family loves the donair platter, I can't say enough good things about this place �

Not only are the Staff extremely kind but all of the food is incredibly fresh and flavourful also. Everything from the hummus, rice, Shish Tawouk, salad, potatoes, mixed donair, All of it was a different treat for the pallette. I am glad that such a convenient location has opened up in the South and I will without a doubt be a regular here. Good job Jerusalem Shawarma ��

This truly is the best Shawarma I’ve ever had!!! Also just had the plate with the chicken skewers - so delicious! You can tell the food is made with passion & love!

Tried it for the first time yesterday at the Macleod location and it's the best I've ever had. The staff were very friendly and let me sample the baklava and falafel which were both delicious. My wrap was amazing too - they don't fall apart in your hands like Cedars and other places. I will definitely be back:)

Chicken was nicely seasoned and portions are large. However, we prefer the platters > wraps here. We got random free baklava on this visit! (4/5)

Large portions to keep you going on your trek to Ikea. Great tasting and fresh pitas. The hummus is creamy and cucumbers crisp – a well rounded platter.

After a long night and little sleep it was time for a donair. The donair was so fresh and tasty. I ordered a large with extra meat. The donair meat was excellent. However, the pita was the best I’ve ever had. To chewy and tasty. They don’t have cheese so it’s hardcore there. But the garlic sauce and sweet sauce made up for the lack of dairy available. Would definitely go back again.

Great flavour, huge portions, nice furnishings and friendly people :). Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good shawarma platters.

Fantastic food and wonderful service. Young members of the family were particularly sweet and polite :) We will definitely return! Can't rate this restaurant highly enough.

Ordered a chicken shawarma and there was barely any chicken in it.  For the price they charge for their wraps, there should be more meat in them.  Also, the chicken lacked flavor.  They need to marinate the chicken more and add more spices so that it's not bland like it is. Very disappointed.

Jerusalem shawarma really its a great name and not just the name I been there couple times before how the food is great and the place also is a very clean I feel like I'm in my home because of the food is a very fresh and tasty as well any others places how is the staff is a very nice they give me and my friends more than enough beef and chicken honestly I didn't finish my food because it was a lot but honestly it was very tasty <br/>Staff hard working there and usually they smiles very friendly thanks guys for ur great service great place and great food i would like to give u 7 stars not just 5

Great place. Picked up 2 Shawarma plates one beef and one chicken both with the Greek salad. Large portions so fantastic value. Even though was busy we got our order quickly. The owner and his staff are running off their feet. last visit i tried the wrap it was so tasty and big lots of meat inside. the Garlic potato is also so good and fresh . the falafel is done by order also so fresh the best i have ever had in Calgary. so happy you guys came to the South <br/><br/>Great job guys. When I go to a shawarma place I look for 3 things: delicious falafel, overflowing plates and unique flavours. Price is typical for calgary for shawarma. Good portion size however the chicken itself was lacking flavour. They need to marinate the meat better. Its a busy place when we went in there was a pretty long line up. We like shawarma knight and shawarma king better more flavour.

****Holy comments from the peanut gallery. It is getting really nutty here... After checking and rechecking if the location was open we took kyd there. It was beef wrap vs the beef shawarma plate. Both were pretty good. We thought the plate was more plentiful. Business was bustling. The place is nice neat and clean.*****..How are.there 4 great reviews for this an unopened location? ?? It's not open yet. We don't get it........It's not open is it???? There's several opening soon signs.. does anyone know when it's opened?

I wish there was an option for 6 stars for this. <br/>The best restaurant in Calgary if not whole Alberta <br/>Hi food quality,very affordable price,fast service and very clean place.<br/>Every thing in the menu is great and amazing but my favourite " hummes with beef" is a must if you are in Calgary and never tried that , you missed something fantastic,believe me <br/>The hall and restrooms are very clean neat

Love this place! The food is excellent and fresh! The portions are also huge! They are very busy during peak hours but get through the line quite quickly. I personally love the chicken shawarma wraps and plates. We tried the platter for two with the kabobs and it feed two adults and a toddler and we were stuffed! I've also ordered catering through them with excellent results. It's reasonably priced and everyone loved it.
