I still can't get over how good the sushi was last night. We ordered all three special rolls, in addition to the spicy salmon and tempura asparagus rolls. The specials were fairytale in autumn, unagi and dried bonito oshi (rectangular) and - our personal favorite - the Cajun styled seared tuna. Every single bite was so good and the last roll that we had was literally melt in your mouth delicious. There was even a debate at the end as to who would not get one last piece, that's how good it was. I would say that out of every sushi place I've been to in Calgary, from the most expensive to the least, this one is my absolute all-time favorite and I can't wait to go back. So good!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Shijo has always been one of my favorite sushi places in town, but now that I know they have an entirely gluten-free menu every Tuesday (for us celiac people!!), I love it even more! I'd recommend trying their miso soup (probably the best miso soup I've had), tempura (yes, also gluten free!), and any and all of their special rolls. *drool*

It doesn’t have a rich menu and it’s a little expensive. I would give $$$ to Shiri Sushi.
However it’s an awesome sushi bar for your dates 🍷

Wow wow wow, has easily become our favorite place for sushi. Visually very pleasing. Everything we order is delicious and fresh. Clean environment and tables with friendly staff. We really enjoy this place. You won't be disappointed.

It was our first time coming here for lunch and found the experience to be pretty good. I opted for one of their lunch sets and enjoyed it. The salad was fresh and tasty, tempura hot and crunchy, and the sushi was not bad. The enoki mushrooms in the miso soup was a nice addition as well.
He got a teriyaki chicken lunch set and veggie tempura, which they forgot. Service was a little on the slow side despite being one of the first ones in right when they opened. Their menu was also quite limited for those who want something other than sushi, which was a little disappointing.
Overall, I would return again when I'm not restricted by a lunch hour.

Me and my husband and 2 kids stopped by at shijo in the late evening for early mothers day celebration and it was so worth to go this place.
Food was really tasty and good quality and taste authentic.
Everything tastes so fresh and yummy.
I would like to highly recommend this place .
