Review Milestones - Calgary

Winna Marie Francisco
Everything about this branch is worth citing! Katie, the thoughtful and sweet server with superb memory; Michelle the Manager and of course the food from the Kitchen - a reflection of a well-oiled team. I always eat in this branch and they never fail! Did I say they have live music? Great place, great food, no milestone needed to come here!
Melissa Johnson
First drink I had was good but a tad too sweet for me. Second drink was less than desirable because the bar tender put way too much lemon zest in it which made it taste super bitter and was difficult to finish the drink. The fish tacos were good but a little bit too much onion for me. The atmosphere was nice until the live music started, then it was too loud so we ended up leaving. Would I come back? Probably not.

Worst experience ever… Went there last night with family, first they said we are closing our kitchen but then the manager said we can accommodate you. The Serving lady was so rude, she said be quick with the order, after that the whole time she was giving attitude, shaking head just to show that we are eating after closing time. They didn't provided any cutlery or served water to our table. My son didn't eat anything, the food they served to him was completely raw meat. They didn't even apologize or offer any other meal. This is not expected from Milestones. This is not our first time visiting this place. We felt somewhere she was being racist as well. The manager passed by our table but didnt say anything or offer any help. We are not going to Milestone EVER AGAIN.

Amazing customer service. The food took 20minutes to be served in our table which is greatly understandable, the food was served fresh & mouthwatering. Clean, beautiful interior and staffs are approachable.

It was great. I love the service n i was just sun tanning my sexy body. While waiting for supper at their outdoor porch. It was fun especially i was there on canada day. Good place to celebrate. The next nice hot day ill go back

Very bad experience We went there to celebrate Canada day with my family. Server Jess, she was soo rude and had too much attitude. We felt she was being racist. When we went there first she said ,we closed our kitchen, then she said we can accommodate you. Than we were 6 people, 4 four us get our food, for 5 th person they brought wrong order, than they changed with right one and my son was waiting for his food, than we asked for his order, she said their deep fryer was off now, can you order something else, we changed our order, than she came and said now it’s on, than she got his burger and when he started to eat, it was raw. After that my son felt puke. She didn’t offer any another food or any discount. I felt so bad for my son, he waited whole time and he came out hungry with us from milestone. After that she gave us bill, she said over 6 people they charged for auto gratuity, it was $25, even our 6 th person didn’t get any food and service. Even manager didn’t care about this thing . We went another milestone in Calgary, we never got this kind of service in my life . Before it was my favourite place, but now never be☹️

Slowest worst service ever. Our waiter never came to our table, took over an hour and a half to get our food. Our drinks were never refilled unless we waived someone down and asked. Worst service, do not come here.

Two excellent meals here over a week's stay. Portions big, fresh and hot. Good choice, cater for gluten free and service attentive. Highly recommmended

Saturday Brunch at @milestonesrestaurants We had a California Benny (shrimp, bacon and avocado), A lobster and shrimp bisque which was pretty good and a prime rib Benny! Great place for brunch.
Mr Jimmy
It is one of my go to spots for Sunday brunch,   The prime rib hash is my go to.  If its a nice day sit on the patio, great people watching,  The staff are friendly and attentive.

I went there bcz I wanted to try “chilli chicken rice bowl”<br/><br/>At Milstones, Calgary<br/><br/>Starters :Fried Calamari <br/>Main: Chilli chicken Rice Bowl.<br/><br/>Drink : Moscow Mule 🥤 <br/>I wasn’t calorie conscious that night at all ;)<br/><br/>Good food and good ambience.

A salad and soup with a coffee and tea for $33, huge rip off . A very average salad with a few sad strawberries and pecans, small soup. ( no bread) . Will not be back

I usually go here for a steak on a weekend. Good service, good food, never had an issue. It's pretty packed at lunch but quiet at dinner time (the way I like it)

I have been to Milestones a few times over the last 12 years and have never been disappointed. However, I have also never been impressed. This is an average restaurant with at least an attempt at decent plating, menu options and decor. Most recently I had a goat cheese platter that came with a fig jam, salad, roasted garlic and some bread. I also got the mushroom soup. The appetizer was nice and simple with good quality ingredients which is what I was hoping for, but nothing to write home about. The soup was very nice though less mushroomy and more garlicky than I would have preferred. Ultimately I will be back because it is one of the better locations on Stephen Avenue.

Pre theatre dinner. 4 of us in out in an hour. Ceasar salas. 2 fish dishes and a chicken thai ? Bites. Service quick and good. Nice to have it in the theatre district

Amazing food. Great staff. Price bit on higher side. Must visit. Great location. Good Ambience. Happy hour menu and price is reasonable. Enjoyed the dessert.

First experience was horrible with the and food and customer service. But I was surprised by the second at my second visit. Excellent food ans customer service.

Ate at Milestones Friday night and I can only say regrets. It should have been a sign to walk away when we showed up at 7:30pm as a large party of seven with no reservations on a Friday night and they could easily accomodate us in either the dining room or the lounge. <br/><br/>I ordered the prime rib sandwich that was noted as one of their Signature Dishes on their menu.  It was basically the fatty, grisley parts of the prime rib that you wouldn't want to present, shredded and put into a bun. Absolutely fatty and disgusting where I honestly did not feel well after eating it. I want my $20 back. <br/><br/>My husband ordered the Old Fashioned Burger which is a basic burger that he described as "okay" but not worth $18. <br/><br/>The service was okay - nothing particularly outstanding that would make it excellent or horrible. <br/><br/>The atmosphere - it was playing Stingray 90s music videos. Enough said.<br/><br/>Would not recommend eating at Milestones. <br/><br/><br/>

I was in Calgary for business and stopped by the Milestone's for dinner. It was average fare. My food came promptly and service was average. They had a particularly good deal for $50 where you could get an appetizer, two entries and a dessert. The intention was for two people for this deal. It was pretty good and a good selection of menu items for the deal.

I hate this place. Too many bad experiences to count and it's not even because of the food which is meh at best. I'd ordered one of their $12 margaritas and it came in a plastic cup loaded with ice. I asked the 20-some bartender 'what the hell is this?' He said when you go to Señor Frog in Mexico this is what you get. I said, yeah and they're 3 for a buck, not $13 frikkin dollars with tax. He gives me more grease. I walk out without paying and they're chasing me down the street. Stay away <br/>

I  know Milestones from Vancouver where I believe they started , in the beginning they were quite innovative and imaginative, like a lot of things sometimes success is a curse as you grow sometimes you become watered down, i believe strongly that trying to find talent that is as committed as you when you start something, is nearly impossible try as you might, Milestones, certainty at this location is nothing like they used to be, this last time around the food was very underwhelming and the service, was sub par my steak had similarities to the soles of my snow boots, the consistency was probably similar, very surprising as I ordered MR it couldn't have been more over cooked as well done , the server seemed very nonchalant about it, it so happens the next day I was in the one at the market mall, and I will do a review of that one as well.

Great place to meet for lunch, good service and meals came out quickly. Perfect when you only have an hour for lunch. The crab and shrimp lettuce wraps wad flavourful but really messy to eat, prob won't get again. The dessert duo was extremely good! Loved the chocolate ganache torte and white chocolate cheesecake it was big enough to share.
Cindy
This location has a lovely patio that gets just the right amount of sun. Their classic Bellini is delicious and if you go during Happy Hour, they're only $4! The service here was really good. Their Wednesday date night special is a great deal and you get lots of food for the price. I recommend their calamari!
Nav
If you are indecisive and not sure where to go, Milestone's is a safe choice. I always end up ordering some type of burger with a chocolate dessert. Overall there's nothing too special here but nothing horrible either.

I usually love this place but I'm allergic to gluten and after my meal there I knew there was a mistake made with my plate as the pain has still to go away a day and a half later. My waitress was amazing but somewhere down the line there was a mistake made. Hopefully this review will help you to be more careful when serving people with an allergy in the future.

Normally I love their food - but we had an extremely disappointing meal on Saturday. The only thing that made it okay was the server was just fine - but the food was awful. <br/>I got the Ahi Tuna Tacos, and they were pretty awful. No seasoning, mostly just a lot of cabbage (with zero flavour) and three tiny strips of tuna. Only two tacos. There was no hot sauce, and basically they were very bland and boring. My "side" was a tiny handful of lettuce with a bit of dressing. I had to put that on the tacos to help with how gross they were. My partner got the Garden Burger. It came with a tiny tiny bit of mayo on it - lettuce, tomato, and that's it. Very boring, mostly flavourless. It was one of the worst restaurant meals we have had in ages.

Had an awesome dinner here last night. Had the stacked burger (burger, bacon and Montreal smoked meat), it was really delicious actually. We also had the carbonara, which was very rich and creamy. Always a big fan of carbonara and this one tasted pretty good!<br/><br/>We also had the calamari to start. The batter was pretty light, and tasted great with the marinara sauce that comes with it.<br/><br/>The hospitality was good and the drinks were great as well. Good beers on tap and good cocktails. The sangria was really good too!<br/><br/>Great service and a great evening. Would be happy coming here again!

Came here for dinner. The Jays game was on so we went and sat in the lounge. Very classy and clean set up in the lounge and goo for sports viewing. Got drinks and dinner service was on point and meals were great. The goats cheese appie is unreal and highly recommended. I had the jambalaya which was good and my gf had steak which she also enjoyed. Would return for sure

We were not impressed with Milestones, it was pricey and the serving sizes were barely acceptable.  We paid $9 for a Caesar (drink)  Not impressed with the prices, quality of food, etc.  Will go elsewhere next time.

Overall average experience in terms of food and service. We had the prime rib beef dip and the milestones trio. Portion size was a bit small for the price. I don't mind the smaller portion just think it should be reflected better in the price. Had the white chocolate cheesecake and the torte for dessert. Cheesecake was good but I found the torte to be quite sweet and I wasn't a huge fan of the torte. In this case of the dessert portions were pretty decent for the price. Miami iced tea is always a favourite.

The worst restaurant I've ever been. The service is very bad, the food is even worse. They said  35 days old and grilled to perfection, ya grilled to perfection my ass, I will never recommend this to any of my friends . Any ways they deserve my cent tip coz my bill comes to $149.29 and I give the waitres $149.30 dollar. Thank you and more power. My name is Emmanuel Encinas from Edmonton my telephone number is 780-473-9456 or 780-265-0356. <br/>

Was here for lunch. Ordered the stacked burger and was pretty good. The bacon could be more crispy. <br/>Overall, the group was quite satisfied with the food. <br/>My only complaint was the server could have been more friendly. The guy was pretty stoned faced.

We came here for the patio. They have a large patio and many tables. Perfect place to go to on a nice day. The food came out really fast and it was really good. I really like their Bellini! The service was good. I would come back here.

We went here for dinner last week and I must say it was the worst meal I've ever had...I ordered the Chipotle chicken burger with siracha slaw. Sounded delicious. Food came and I saw that it was deep dried chicken. I don't think it stated that on the menu but I could be wrong. Anyway, i took one bite and almost choked. There was absolutely NO sauce...no salt...it was sooooo dry!!! It tasted like the oil they used to fry it. Where was the Chipotle? ??? The slaw was green...correct me if I'm wrong but if there's siracha in it shouldn't it be a bit red? Took a bite, tasted like nothing. Again no flavor whatsoever. I asked the waitress for some sauce for my burger saying I had none. She brought a disgusting "garlic aoli". Tasted a bit of garlic but it was sooo....gooey? And tasteless...seriously wanted to throw up. And I'm not a picky eater. I love food! This was not food. I've had better chicken burgers at KFC...waitress was ok. Looked so nice inside I was so excited it was my first time. I will not be going there again.

The interior of the restaurant is definitely styled for men/women in business attires, which I find it inviting.<br/><br/>The food was mediocre, I ordered cod and frits while my girlfriend had a stacked burger. The cod and frits, the fish piece was fairly big, the dish didn't come with lemons, the tartar sauce is indescribable, the coleslaw is meh, and the fries were soggy, but well seasoned. <br/><br/>As for the burger, same issue with the soggy fries. The burger was OK, I can taste the meat well, but as for other ingredients, I can't seem to taste the rest as the burger meat took over. <br/><br/>Service is below average, the waitress doesn't seem to be knowledgeable when I asked "What's for happy hour?". She seemed in a hurry to take our plates away while we're still eating fries from the burger as if the restaurant is busy. Worst of all, I wasn't thanked for even after tipping the waitress, even as I leave the place. It just feels like a fast food treatment. Get in, eat, the waitress puts a big smile as if they're to expect a tip, and never saw her to thank me as she handed me the receipt or on my way out.

Good service. Mediocre food. The calamari was borderline disgusting, no flavour, rubbery, served with tartar sauce and marinara sauce? Gross. <br/><br/>Moxie's calamari is literally 50 times better.
Hitting The Sauce
I was surprised to see so many bottles of wine just over the $30.00 mark. Steal on Stephen Ave! The Spinach and Artichoke Dip ($12) was just like I remembered in Vancouver. Thick and creamy, the dip stayed soft and warm despite our leisurely pace of munching. We also snacked on the Mediterranean Bruschetta ($9), the toppings were strong on the balsamic reduction, feta cheese and tomatoes. The lounge is newly renovated, complete with a steam fireplace. No longer dark and cramped, the spacious lounge is now filled with lots of natural light. I can’t wait for the new patio to be built. This is one chain restaurant I’ll frequent more often for appies and well priced drinks.

Changes.. Apparently there have been some changes in the menu and in the staff. Used to get great service and great food here. Had to literally walk out and tell a manager to get us a new server because the one that we had was terribly rude when we wanted an extra minute to look over the menu. We got seated at a new section, the rude server had the audacity to walk over and look at us, rolled his eyes, and went back to his section. Not a single apology after he knew that we had complained.
Mcicci01
Pricey and Not very good.. 3 of us went here on Saturday night, All 3 of us were disappointed with our meals. Prices are far too expensive for the quality and quantity of food offered. The Calamari appy was rubbery and not very flavorful (and a small portion, even for an appetizer) . The Garden Burger tasted decent but was very dry, Caesar salad was dry and lacking flavor as well. The other two people I was with also didn't like their meals very much either... Not recommended as there is definitely much better restaurants on Stephen ave.

Love this place!. I don't know why this place has such a low rating: I went here for a special occasion dinner on labor day and it was a great experience! Me and my bf had drinks to start: my lime mojito and his blackberry hibiscus margarita were both great! We started off with some fries and the mango chilli shrimp. The fries came with a delicious truffle aioli that was awesome. For mains I had the seafood fettuccine and he had the harisssa chicken: the only complaint I have is that the quinoa that came with the chicken was a little to oily. It was ~$ 85 (without tip) for the whole meal, which I think was pretty reasonable for the amount of food we got. The service was good too- the only thing I would like to have changed is for them to wait until we were done with all our appetizers to bring out the main dishes! I will definitely be back.

Recent menu change and change of target demo is AWFUL. I don't really go to Milestone's for dinner, so can't comment on that part, but I used to love their breakfasts. The breakfast potatoes were crispy and flavourful, and the olive/tomato salsa that came with it was great. The eggs milestones was a great dish, and the sausage used to be good too. Then they changed their menu.<br/><br/>Oh man, did they change their menu.<br/><br/>They went from trying to compete with JOEY, Earls, Cactus, and Moxie's to trying to compete with Denny's and Perkin's. They must have decided that their target market should be drunk teenagers and the after-church crowd who just want something mushy that they can't taste.<br/><br/>The eggs are now instant, the breakfast potatoes are frozen and ordered from Crisco, the eggs milestones are no longer on the menu, and the sausage is identical to Denny's or Ricky's. It's horrible. In fact, I'd much rather go to Ricky's. They've got a decent perogy breakfast.<br/><br/>I've never been more disappointed in a breakfast. Never. I HATED it, and will NEVER come back.

Subpar Food. We went there for lunch on a Sunday. The place was fairly busy but we got seated without too much of a wait. The calamari fritters were dry and lacked flavor. The grilled salmon was done horribly and served with a random veggies and chunks of pineapple. Would have been better off going to Opa.

Brunch was delicious. Howe.... Brunch was delicious. <br/>However I voted "don't like it" due to the completely horrible service we received. <br/>Will likely not return due to the staff.
BruceL
Brunch not great. Poached egg is runny. Salad is not fresh. Sugar icing on fruit bowl is bad idea.

Don't think I'll be back. My friend & I went to Milestones for her birthday. She really wanted to go and it was my first time there. The hostess seemed to be disinterested and in a huge rush to get us to the table and be done. (however a different hostess, not the one who helped us to the table, was very pleasant, smiling, and told us about our different seating options)<br/>Our waitress (Amanda, I believe) was a bit rude and short with us, especially with my friend who doesn't speak English as a first language. She seemed to get a bit of an attitude and a bit huffy when she would ask questions.<br/>As for the food, my friend did not enjoy most of her meal at all. (Steak, she liked. The potatoes and vegetables, she did not) I had the Chicken and Shiitake Mushroom bowl. It wasn't awful, but it was not great. My pasta was undercooked and the dish itsself was disappointingly tasteless. But the server's mild snarkiness could've added to the bad taste in my mouth.

UNHAPPY. Four of us dropped by Milestones downtown at 5:15pm on Saturday night without a reservation. We were greeted by the most obnoxious, discourteous hostess who proceeded with her very ill-mannered, rude attitude as she walked us through to the very back of the restaurant. She sat us beside a large table with a group of adults and a few screaming children. An adult from that table immediately said to the Hostess that she should put us at another table farther away from their loud children. We too asked the Hostess if we could possible sit a bit farther over where there were about ten other empty tables. The Hostess escalated her very snarly impolite attitude and advised that all those tables were reserved and said if we came in without a reservation on a Saturday night we had to take what we got. By time we left Milestones at approximately 6:45pm many of the empty tables were still empty. The large family table sitting beside us sympathetically apologized for the rudeness of the Hostess and stated that the same Hostess was rude to them too. It started our night at Milestones on a sour note, but we lucked out and got a fabulously charming waiter. The food tasted average but was displayed beautifully. However, because of the Hostess we would not recommend going to Milestones as it started a fun night out on the wrong note. In the past we have found other restaurants downtown that you can get into at 5pm (without reservation) on a Saturday night with pleasant Hostesses and Greeters at the door with great service and food.

Prime rib. Poor example of alberta beef<br/>over half of the prime beef was pure fat <br/>the beef that one could extract eas chewy<br/>not good....

Went to Milestones for lunch last week because there were only a few people waiting to be seated. We gave the hostess our name and waited at the door. After 5 minutes I realized that 3 other groups had been seated before us. We left and will never return again. Lots of attitude, brutal service!
Christahercher
Rude, disrespectful hostess. Overall disgust with their policies. <br/>I had tried to have lunch and was turned away because I was with my son and had a stroller. The hostess insisted it was restaurant policy that they do not accept strollers in their restaurant. I understand that strollers take up space and I had offered to fold up the stroller, sit inside at a "non-prime" location, but she was already moving onto the customer behind us....really only catering to the business crowd.<br/>If they are trying to cater to the business crowd then why not display a sign that obviously states "no strollers." or maybe "no families welcome."<br/>I will never visit one of their restaurants again.
Selkirk43
Hostess service poor. Want to review this place after thinking about my past experience there back close to stampede week. <br/>It was my friend's bday and wanted to treat him to a nice meal and wanted to try this place. Upon arrival at the entrance there were 3 hostesses. I also noted a couple of groups of people waiting for tables.<br/>I approached one hostess who was giving me a bit of snooty vibe or seemed cold, said we had to wait and took my name- fair enough. My friend and I waited outside for abit. I eventually noticed that the groups (with one coming after us), were getting in before us. Even a couple- the same amount of people as my friend and I. <br/>I eventually went up to ask again about our table wait. I instead talked to another hostess this time, (she was next to the one that told us to wait) about how much longer the wait. This other hostess seemed much more friendly & mentioned that there was lots of room, to my surprise. She told the the hostess I originally approached that. The original approached hostess that made us wait long just replied, 'oh....", in a flat response. In led us in to a table. As we went in the restaurant, there were alot of empty tables.<br/>She gave us a cold reception and sat us down.<br/>Our waitress was super friendly though and the food was pretty good.<br/>However, my friend ended up talking to our waitress about the hostess service being unacceptable. This was on the day of his birthday and I was trying to take him out to a place for meal. <br/>This restaurant is in an area with business people, tourists and other people passing by. They really need to pay attention to the customer service in all areas. Especially the hostesses- they leave the first impressions on people arriving at the restaurant. I hope this has changed because that was just unacceptable.

Would go back for more, keep away from the flatbread. I just need to know what's up with the flatbread they serve in the share platter (the one that comes with the warm dip, chicken wings, chicken bites, and flatbread). it was spongy, slightly unappetizing to look at, and not very well seasoned. try to avoid this if you can.<br/><br/>the burger with the californian burger was quite big and well seasoned even if the patties are frozen and not fresh. the 2 piece fish and chips was also well portioned and nicely fried. would go back for more pitchers of their mojitos (great taste, nice amount of alcohol. try asking for soho instead of rum), sangria (a bit too sweet but still tasty as heck), and their dessert shots (very fun and tasty to share with 4 other people. My personal fav are the ganache torte, white raspberry cheesecake, and key lime pie). <br/><br/>friendly staff, great atmosphere, wait time was near non existent for a 7PM Thursday dinner get together.

Business must be too good. I had a tour group staying at the Marriott and we were attempting to book some tables for dinner. First I have had great luck with Milestones in Vancouver. Not only do they accomodate groups but they give us a short menu and great service. I called this location to see if this were possible. The response was an overwhelming NO. You can come at 4:30pm or after 9pm. Can you at least reserve a few table for us? NO. Absolutely no customer service. I was so shocked by their response I called again and got the same response from another 'mgr'. Its not like I don't enjoy this place but the attitude was so rude, so adamant, so inflexible, I was personally shocked. When I'm treated well I refer people to restaraunts many many times. When I get the attitude that we don't need your business I'd be crazy to help promote them. I'd love for upper management to look into this. How can one Milestones be so acommodating and this location the extreme opposite??

Sugar and Salt. The Sugar<br/>I was with a party of 8 who had dinner at your restaurant on July 17th, 2013. I had eaten there some time previously, had a great meal, and the group I was with went there on my recommendation. We all thoroughly enjoyed our menu choices and planned to eat there one more time before the event we were attending was finished on the 20th.<br/><br/>The Salt<br/>On July 18th, one group member and I decided to have lunch there, went to the desk- which was outside- and put our name down for a table. There were lots of tables available, both inside and out but we had no way of knowing if they were reserved or not. While we waited, standing about 4 feet from the desk, people who came after us, were ushered to tables, some just went and sat down and were accommodated, some parties of 2 were asked if they would like to share a table and so on. We kept checking by looking on the list to see just where our names were. Finally my friend asked why people who came in after us were seated, even by sharing a table, and we were still waiting. The young lady said that she had called us and no one answered. She certainly did not call us as we were standing close by, would have heard even a soft voice, and she and the other person looked at us occasionally--we thought just to remember which ones we are. She then said again that we hadn't answered when she called us and would now seat us. By this time, we were so thoroughly disappointed that we left and had out lunch elsewhere. The group also went elsewhere for dinner, both on the 18th and the 19th.

*shoulder shrug* meh. Stars<br/>1) Customer service 1/2<br/>2) Cleanliness 1<br/>3) Food Presentation 1/2<br/>4) Food Flavor 1/2 <br/>5) Over all atmosphere 0<br/>★★☆☆☆ 1/2<br/>2 1/2 out of 5 stars<br/><br/>The service was bad, though the waitress tried to be friendly the one time I was there, it felt super forced. This place is actually pretty clean compared to some other down town places. The food presentation is pretty good like the salad actually looks like its from a picture but the style is still sort of boring. The flavor isn't bad in anyway its just something I feel I could make at home. The over all atmosphere of this place gets a 0 because I feel rushed when Ever I come to eat at this location, I feel like they want me to eat as fast as I can and get out.
Nic
Ewwww. Terrible service, soggy, salty, warm salad with ROTTEN lettuce.

Good Time. The server was EXTREMELY friendly (almost a little too much?) but his recommended drinks were wonderful and the food tasted great! I went there with a big group of friends and sat at the lifted round tables and it was a little squishy but it was a good experience overall.

Great brunch! I showed up eight minutes late and they still poached me eggs! Kurtis was an awesome server! DELICIOUS and well priced!

I cant recommend this place to anyone for any reason. poor food poor service. the salad my wife ordered was missing ingrediants, my ceaser salad consisted of wilted underdressed lettuce with no bacon, or lemon. the soup was cold and clearly our order had sat for a while before coming to us. at least my daughter got a nice mermaid in her pop but otherwise an entirely forgetable experience.

Delicious! Can't go wrong with Portabella mushroom chicken!

Amazing dining experience. The atmosphere was inviting on a Sunday evening for dinner. The wait staff was so attentive to our table. Had a huge Cesar salad to start and a Cesar to drink with the perfect amount of spice. Dinner was steak grilled to perfection, topped with pepper shrimp, seasonal vegtables done with just a hint of crunch in the center and garlic mashed potatoes topped with crispy onions. A nice Merlot from the Oakanagan as the wine paring was a perfect addition. <br/>I was totally impressed with the wait staff. Very unusual for such disciplined staff in this city. It was as if they had strict European training. <br/>Milestones has just made it to the "will definitely return too" place on my list.

Staff worked hard to cope with big crowds from Art Market across the street, including being shortstaffed due to illness. Enjoyed the food especially the mushroom soup.

Boring chain..... Meh!<br/><br/>very mundane. not for a special occasion or night out.<br/>Food bland and non de-script.<br/>Chicken dry and tastless<br/>Service good<br/>outside patio in summer great if you like sucking exhaust in the city.<br/><br/>won't be back

We ate here on our first night in Calgary, jet-lagged after an 11 hour flight. We found the server very amiable and knowledgeable and the food pretty good. We shared the flatbread with goats cheese starter which kicked things off nicely. My husband had the Cali burger and said it was his second favourite burger ever (high praise indeed). I had the grilled chicken salad which was ok. I was a tiny bit disappointed that it was basically lettuce and not much else though. Even so, it was tasty enough and if we were in town for longer we'd probably return.

Milestone's on Sunday evening. Had a lovely time and a very helpful/considerate server. Had a yummy Bellini and tried the Grilled Mediterranean Chicken and was truly satisfied. It was fresh and filling. My fellow diner had the Pan Seared Scallops and we both cleaned our plates! It was a great after the theatre dinner. <br/>I have eaten here before and have always had a good experience.

Milestones: A Collective Review. This is based on a collective of my overall experiences at this location.<br/><br/>Used to come here alot with Friends. Easy location to get to; and the food is always really well done.<br/>Used to like Milestones for their ULTIMATE BELLINI.. That however has changed since my last two visits.<br/>Small Drink and Overpriced. Used to be way better than what it is.<br/><br/>Food? It's always been really good, and still is.<br/>Last time I went for the Burger - Can't remember exactly what it was called, but the one with Avocado.<br/>Can't say I was blown away - but that was the choice I made.. Found the Avocado was way watery. <br/>Yam Fries were delicious - Could do with a better sauce tho.<br/>My friend just got the Normal Fries.. Huge Portion as well.<br/><br/>Not a huge menu, but what from I've had.. They've done quite well.<br/><br/>MUST HAVE: Thai Chicken Drumettes - basically a classy way of saying a Spicy Chicken Wing. Delicious.

Milstones/downtown. On Dec. 10 th , my hubby went to the symphony we saw Händel's Messiah and stopped into Milestones on Stephene Ave.Mall. It was super busy couldn't get into the dining room until 8:00pm but we got a table in the lounge it was nice, the food though was cold but very tasty. We both agreed that the next time we go it will have to be a lot less busy. I had the Sausage Ravioli with garlic pesto cream sauce.very tasty but cold. My hubby had the Bacon, cheese burger again he said very tasty but cold. The next time we go we will have to make sure they are not so busy.

Milestone's is ok. I don't love it but don't hate it. I just personally find the food to be overpriced because the quality really isn't that good lol

Gluten Free Options!. I was so pleased to see that Milestone's has an actual section on their menu for those who eat gluten free!<br/>i ordered the spaghettini tomato sauce dish. I can't have cow dairy either, so the fact that this had goat cheese was surprising and delicious! This was the best gluten-free dish I've ever had at a restaurant (and I've had a lot!!!)

Didn't like it. Ordered a chicken ceasar salad all the lettuce was wilted and just a huge disappointment. They didn't charge me for it but it ruined any chance of me going back.

Horrible service, below average food. Ate at milestones one night due to the growing hangry pains developing in my stomach. I shouldnt of. The waitress at the front desk was rude and acted like she didnt want us there. Then we were left sitting for almost half an hour before they even took our drink orders, let alone the extra 45minutes it took before our food came out. My stomach was about to eat itself. Our waitress was pleasent but it does not make up for the bad food. The waitress said that my curry was a 6 on a scale of 1-10 for spicyness. There was not a spec of flavour or spice to be found. Utterly dissapointed in the food. The burgers come with a giant pile of fries in order to make up for the lack of taste in the burger. Avoid it. There are way better places to eat.

Weakest Link. It's not that I don't understand that Milestone's is a chain restaurant, it's that MILESTONE'S doesn't understand it. Chains are supposed to have a please all menu and be consistent; that's why they work. This location is near my work and I've been here a few times for lunch for consistently average food, which is what it should be. Then I came later in the day (I've heard that their dinner service is worse than their lunch), and was pretty much offended by what was put in front of me. What you see in this picture is what they gave us. A haphazard pile of heavy freeze dried shrimp breaded in stale Italian breadcrumbs, paprika and garlic powder. The staff were great and brought us a flatbread instead, but even when I probed the manager, gesturing to all the surrounding restaurants in sight that offer fresh fish, and admitted that there was better quality at fast food joints, there was nothing he could say. He admitted that all of their seafood comes in frozen (probably pre-breaded as well), and wished us a pleasant day. After this, if I do return, I will avoid their proteins altogether.

Good lunch menu and service. I heard bad things about eating there for dinner so I haven't tried it. Lunch food was good, service decent.

Not great food, usually.. I've been here a few times and was never really impressed but also never disappointed. That was until I went one Saturday night for drinks and appetizers. We ordered the mini kobe burgers, thai chicken bites, prawns with honey and bread with melted bocconcini and olives (I can't remember the real names). They were definitely not great. As we were finishing the last couple bites we realized that you know it's not great food when you have to argue over who has to finish it off. I think that visit turned me off for awhile.

Terrible service terrible steak. Upon being seated as part of a large group we were immediately told in no uncertain terms that if we changed seats with another person in our party their would be a delay in service because of the way their seating program works. After seating he took our drink orders and was never to be seen again for approx twenty minutes. When he did return he took our orders but still no drinks. The limp old salad arrived and half hour later still no drinks. After trying to swallow the dry salad the drinks mercifully arrived upon which the server noticed one couple exchanged places and were immediately admonished and told that their drinks would be further delayed. When the steak finally arrived it was cold, chewy and was accompanied by what I presume was mashed potato yet literally required a knife to cut it. Upon completing my half finished meal the server yet again disappeared Into some void and never returned to ask how the meal was or if we needed anything else. After waiting yet another half hour for our server to reappear I saw my opportunity to get the bill and get the h e double hockey sticks piura there. Think we went to McDonalds after.

OK for a quick bite before the theatre. A fairly large group of us (about 10) went for dinner before the theatre. We met at 6:00 and the stragglers arrived by 6:15 so we had just enough time to eat and get to the 7:30 curtain at Theatre Calgary. The dishes all looked good and the grilled seafood salad I selected was all right. The Kim Crawford Sauvignon blanc that went with it was good. A nice wine to be able to order by the glass. The service was quick enough that we all had dinner and coffee then made it to the show on time. Overall somewhat pricey for what you get but conveniently close to the EPCOR Centre so worth recommending.

Don't bother. Poor service. Terrible food, I had the American bacon cheddar with fries and it was really bad. Undercooked burger and solid hard fries

Only go for lunch. At lunch, I've always had pretty decent service for how busy they get and the food is always delish.<br/><br/>Don't bother coming after that though! Once I went for after work drinks & appys, between getting seated and getting our drink there was about a 40 min gap, I wanted to leave but needed food! When we ordered, she forgot to ring the order through so an extra hour later, we got up and left (with empty cups for 20+ mins without seeing our waitress) There was supposeably no manager on floor that day so I couldn't complain.<br/><br/>For lunch awesome deals and great service, not so much afterwards..

B-List. Keep Walking.. B-List. If you want food and a drink there are better places. The decor is banal save for the large raised saucer seating situated in a strange part of the room. The drinks are good and expensive; nine dollars for a strongbow? Seriously? The food appeared to be good and there were no serious complaints by all. The help is attentive, seemingly friendly but with a touch of invitational facade. The discerning eye, ear and palate knows differently. I would not recommend this restaurant for a special occasion. However, if you are passing by, this place may fill the void. They have location and this will likely carry them. There is better around the corner.

Scary bad service, and the food has gotten worse over time. Stay away.

Horrible. My friend and I were trying to grab some quick appetizers before a show at jacksinger. We had the choice of Milestones or Catch....unfortunetly we chose milestones asked to be seated in the lounge as to get a little bit quicker service. When we kindly advised the server that we were on a time constraint and wondering what items would be the quickest to order he gave us quite a rude respond. Quote this " I can't guarentee anything except for drinks to be quick". I kindly responded again saying there are usually easy appys to be ordered that are up quickly. He proceeded to tell us that he has no idea whats in the kitchen, there could be entrees or lots of back up and he's extremely busy so he can't say it will be quick or not. We werent asking for mcDonalds service...just wanted 2 appetizers, but apparently at Milestones they are 2 amazing and busy to serve a simple order.

Terrible service. I never complain about service - but our server truly has no customer service skills. She was indifferent and never around - forgetful and neglectful of simple standard tasks.. such as removing dishes from our table when it was overflowing.. my brother in law held up his martini glass to make room for his new drink - and she left him holding the glass for five minutes until we could flag her down again!!! And it wasn't even busy in the lounge. It was funny because she became very polite and efficient when the bill came... truly an awful experience. As well, the food at this location is not nearly as good as their Market location. I would NOT recommend. Satlik is far better - in both wine selection and service.

Can't beat the excellent service & great patio... Food is usually very good but sometimes a bit bland...

Good for a business lunch or dinner. Nothing special, but I seem to be eating here a lot. For lunch, Avenue Diner is a block away and a better choice if they have a seat.

Great Food. Looking for a casual atmosphere and great food? Try Milestones on Stephen Ave Mall.<br/><br/>My wife and I both love this place - my favorite is the Californian Burger. This burger is served with a (slightly) spicy avocado salsa and a generous helping of bacon slices. If you're a burger fan, this is for you. (At least it's for me).

We decided to dine at Milestone's on 8th Avenue SW for some all day brunch and mimosa's. They have a great marketing team at Milestone's with their unique date night promotions and "Milestone's brunch bundle" which most of us got that was $18.99 for a nice starter of fruit, your choice of benedict or omelet and

...pork croquettes were really good, it was a pulled pork meatball, deep fried in crumbs — which made it really crispy on the outside, and tender & juicy inside!...

Great place to have a bite to eat before the CPO that isn't going to hurt your pocket book.
