Attended the Omakaze experience for the first time. Fun, interesting and intriguing... Chef Tomo and the rest of the crew delivered a top-notch experience and the best (and most unique) sushi we’ve had in Calgary!
Each bite was marvellously flavoured, and I never thought I’d eat a soy-cured egg-yolk on tuna. Mind-blowing! Torched uni on sour vide flank steak was another unexpected and flavour-packed treat.
The manager and his staff treated us like royalty. If you’re a sushi fan, you need to do this!
We’ll be back, and we’ll be bringing friends!
I have walked past this place every week day since it opened and have never been in. Yesterday I was in the Core with my son and he said let's go in and try the noodles. I had the spicy lamb ramen and he had the mushroom ramen. We sat in a seat where we could see the ramen being made so it's like we were involved in the whole experience. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere of the place is great with regular shouted messages and greetings flying around. The ramen was presented beautifully with a ladle spoon to drink the broth with. The flavour was great and the spice was perfect.
We enjoyed the whole experience and we will be back.
Awesome food and great atmosphere. I've tried the miso ramen, ramen burger and Harami beef. All were good. Lot's of sake and other wines to choose from.
I'll definitely be going back again, and recommend everyone giving Goro +Gun a try.

We shared okonomiaki for appetizer, had mushroom ramen (vegetarian) as main dish, and shared black sesame ice cream for dessert. All was delicious, and more than plentiful as lunch/dinner for two people. The service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.
Great staff - always so welcoming and omakase dinner is definitely worth booking!!!
Probably one of the nicest (if not only) things in Calgary. Completely recommend going in for a bowl of the spicy seafood child ramen or the absolutely gorgeously styled spun sugar on top of green tea ice cream.

AMAZING, homey, affordable! I cannot find any better words to describe this place. If you are in the +15s you have to go! We went in ordered three rolls, two buns and had drinks (all at about 16$). It was so good! The food was dish after dish incredible. The servers were all so friendly and just fantastic at giving an all around expirence. One of the best new bars in Calgary hands down.
Back in the office and was hitting up the food scene for lunch with a few co-workers. Haven't returned here in a few years and decided to try their "Spicy Lamb Ramen".. Mouth watering delicious! You can really taste that grounded lamb meat, good balance of spice and creaminess from the broth.
Appetizers were good. Ramen was ok. They close early at 7pm. I would come back.
Go here during happy hour - starts at 2:00pm(50% off on everything). Nice place food and people!
Stopped by during a busy happy hour. food is decent, found the steam buns to be a bit too oily.
What I was most impressed by was the girl in the grey hat making sushi rolls! my husband and I watched her make every single roll by herself during the rush and she even had two large to-go platters. Not sure why she wasn’t getting any help as we saw 2 chefs in better coats just washing dishes. Nice to see hard working girl in a professional kitchen, especially sushi being a male dominant role

I ordered the Mazamen Ramen, Dynamite Roll and Hojicha Mousse. I have no complains! All of them are perfect!
