This place has been around for years and we can't get enough of it! Always friendly staff, great price, great food and lots of choices. Their pizza and pasta is absolutely the best! It's alway a good sign when the wait staff and hostesses have been there forever, too! Try it out!
I’ve been going to Amici’s for at least ten years- how have I forgotten to submit a review?! Great community Italian restaurant with many difficult decisions every time I go. My favourites are the Thai chicken pizza (love love love this!!), the penne salsicce, and the gnocchi. They serve the table with hot fresh baguette before the meal, which is a lot of carbs it’s true but well worth the splurge. They have great deals during the week- Monday is 2 for 1 pizza and Wednesday is 2 for 1 pasta (I think?!). I’ve also gone with a friend who requested a gluten-free meal and they created a delicious chicken dish specifically for her. If I had any complaint it would be that once in a while my pasta has been over-cooked for my taste. Overall it’s a great choice with many great options!
Had the penne salsiccia and it was delicious with rely authentic sauce. Nice and spicy. Loved the brick theme inside, definitely recommend!!
It’s a good place to come for Italian food. I like the atmosphere and the waitresses are so sweet. Honestly I’d give them a 4 but we ordered the ribs, as they claim it’s the favourite. It was chewy and cold. So big disappointment. Don’t call out something in the menu if it’s not the best part. Will I go again for pasta? Yes will I order ribs? Never
Came here for dinner club and it's a bit further than where e are use to going. The overall consensus was that it was just average Italian food that wasn't worth the drive all they way from the south party of town where most of us live. My friend had the calamari to start and commented that it was very light and cooked perfectly. The mussels was a good portion as well. I ordered the prawn, scallops and crab entree with a side of veggies. When it came I didn't expect a Lasagna dish filled with bechamel sauce with
Seafood inside. I needed to order a side of rice to eat with the sauce. I didn't ready see anything crab in it either. The veggies were not cooked thru and was hard and crunchy. Service was ok.. I had to ask for my side of rice a second time before they even brought it.
Good Italian food for a reasonable price! Love getting the bread as a starter. Friendly staff, not overly busy (limited waiting time). Will return, never had problems with this restaurant.
Took my wife there for our anniversary. We always saw the place when we were shopping at sobeys. Food was great and the service was excellent. We will be back
I have to admit – we came here once over two years ago, had a bad experience, and didn’t return until now. In the meantime there have been a number of really good and really bad reviews online, so I was always really torn about going back. It turns out, we really did have a good experience. We went on a Tuesday night – 35 cent wings in the lounge, but no specials in the restaurant. In fact, when we walked in, the special board stated ‘no veal’ and ‘no salmon fillet’… not really a great first impression. But, we were greeted by a friendly young woman and our service all night was friendly and polite. Once we got our food we weren’t checked on for quite a while, but otherwise the service was fine.
Wednesday special is 2 for 1 pasta! Need I say more?
The portions are huge. Their complimentary bread is nice and warm served with soft garlic butter (extremely addicting)! We had the mussels which were coated in a tomato based sauce and had a nice spice kick to it. I tried the involtini - veal stuffed with shrimp on cream sauce (sooo good!). I forgot the pasta we ordered but one was like a bacon linguini and very generous bacon with light cream sauce. The other was a penne with sausage in tomato base sauce. The tomato base was a bit salty but otherwise the bread balanced that out.
Overall, great deal, good Italian food and good service!

I was hesitant to come here given all the negative reviews, but I had a really good meal here last night.
The atmosphere is pretty bad and the server seemed quite new, but the food itself was spot on. If I am ever in the area I wouldn't hesitate to return!
We were a little wary because of negative reviews but we had a great meal, friendly service and will be back. All of the food came to the table piping hot (be mindful of this if you bring children) and the drinks were reasonably priced. My wife and I had pasta which was excellent, and we'll go back to try the pizza. The only reason it's not a five star rating is it's a little pricy - about 65 bucks for the pizza bruschetta appetizer (awesome!), two orders of pasta and two drinks. My wife did have to bring about half her dinner home, though. Try this place!

I really like this place good service and good food my only issue is their pomodoro sauce is so stupid spicy it is hard to eat. Otherwise good !!
Good pasta and pizza. Average prices. There's a cheap pasta night but I'm not sure what day it is, it gets very busy on those nights. Wish there was delivery.
Been coming here for the past 4 years as they have great food. However, today we've waited over an hour for 3 dishes! Is the food worth waiting that long for? I don't think so!

Great Place, Awesome pizza. Every time we go to Amicis is a great experience, the food is great and they allways make us feel welcome. their Chicken Thai pizza is out of this world as well as their wings, not to mention some of their other dishes. we go there often and is allways a pleasure, their 2-4-1 days make it very affordable, and the kids love it as well.
First time. The staff was very friendly, the hostess was great, the server was on her game! I ordered the onion soup and the lasagna. To be honest I never order lasagna from most most Italian restaurants because I find them very unoriginal and bland, however, I was in a cheesy mood and decided to risk it. It was AWESOME! I had to take most of it home because the French onion soup was to die for and the bread that comes complimentary with garlic butter was so tasty I was almost full when when my entree arrived. I ate the rest if my lasagna later that night and I wanted there to be more! I will be back to try other dishes and probably the lasagna again!
What a little gem in Coventry! Peppered chicken fettuccine is to die for! Service is ok - I wouldn't say excellent. But the food is just mouth watering. Their pizza is seriously so yum!!!! If you live in the area (or don't) and you want delicious Italian food for a reasonable price, you need to check Amici out!

Love it here. Food is delicious and comes out fast! The pizza is incredible and pasta comes out in large portions. Definitely a great little place for Italian food in our area!
Depends on what you want. Been here a couple times. Italian fare was decent for being a random local restaurant in the suburbs. Would recommend the pizza bread with bruschetta as a starter. Main dishes were generous sized and well spiced. Came back to try their 25c wing night (Tues & Wed), was disappointed. Small and overly dry with very little sauce.
Back for another great meal. I was shocked to read the negative reviews recently and since I hadn't been to the restaurant since early this year, I was a bit concerned. We were seated immediately tonight on 2 for 1 pasta night at 6:00 pm. Adrian was our waiter and I could tell he was new, but he really put forth a valiant effort. Tony, one of the owners came around regularly to check on how we were doing and the pizzas (All Meat $ BBq Chicken) were fabulous. No concerns here and we'll be back for the best Veal Involtini I've ever had.
Okay, nothing special. If you want a quick, casual Italian family restaurant this place will do.
It's clean and the food is fairly run-of-the mill, but tasty. Nothing extraordinary on the menu.
On the plus side it is a kid friendly place (including plastic table cloths).
Wine list is very limited.
The website says they are open early for lunch, but they don't answer their phone before 3 and there is no answering machine/message telling you when to call.
Slow service, good food. I was in with a few work friends about 3 weeks ago. The food was fantastic, i had one of the features, and we shared a bunch of apps as well. The server might have been new but they seemed to be looking at the ceiling more than being attentive to us. But i got over it.

Great Meal. What a great place to go and have a great meal. We always go to the pub side and have always had fantastic service and a great meal. The salmon cappallini is my favorite. A huge bowl of perfectly cooked pasta. I will continue to go back and bring my friends.
Sadly miss. Amici's Italian Grill became a ritual in our household on every Wednesday evening. The two for one pasta special is a great way to get busy families out and eating home cooked meals for great prices. Tony and his staff are so pleasant and we have never had a bad meal there. The Italian recipes are original and if you prefer something different - Tony will custom order it for you. We moved and really miss our Wednesdays there along with the great food and great service! Thank you Tony and team for 12 great years!
Family Charm. Wanting a good tasting meal and refusing to eat at a food chain, we found Amici Italian Grill. Great food and exceptional service. We felt like we were treated as part of the "family" - truly! Portions were very good served with out-of-the oven bread and garlic butter. Amici has nightly specials which are worth keeping in mind for a satisfying budget minded delicious meal. Amici is on our list for those nights I just don't want to cook!
So good. Would recommend to anyone. I had the spaghetti carbonara. Lots of pasta and the free fresh bread is delicious. Would go back in a heart beat.
Excellent restaurant. We've been here many times and are big fans of the restaurant - it's like a family restaurant only with better food. The menu is excellent and we highly recommend the sausage risotto and any of their pizzas. Service has dropped off a bit in the last few months so I'm hoping they can recover to their previous levels, but otherwise we highly recommend!
Staying near by while here from out of town. We found Amici's Italian grill by searching the GPS. We were pleasantly surprised. A nice neighborhood joint that was casual, kid friendly, but still nice enough to take some one out for a romantic dinner. You HAVE to order the pizza sticks bruschetta. Awesome! My wife had the penne jumbaliya. Spicy but not overwhelming. I had the gnookie with meat sauce ( it had a fancy name ) it too was great. I did not ask if the pasta was made fresh in house but very similar to when I make my own. The gnookie may not have been the greatest thing on the menu, but I had never had it before and it was good. Thier sauces are tangy and bold. Makes your mouth water. Not some bland boring tomato paste. Service was good and I did not find the prices too high. I thought they were very fair. Good experience and can't wait to come back to town to stop in again.
Took the family on a Sunday nite, great service food came fast, was good food reasonably priced I thought. Had the tortellini papalani, was very good, would go back if in town again
Great customer service and kid friendly. When we first walked in Italian aromas filled the room. I had read that wed filled up fast due to 2 for 1 pasta night and I am glad we showed up early. They were packed by 6:15. The manager took great care of us quickly refilling our drinks and bringing bread while we waited for our supper. They had a separate kid friendly menu with free dessert that worked out great. Adult meals showed up and our pasta dishes were fresh and tasted great. I would definitely recommend. Hot Bread with garlic butter was nice.
Great place. I don't think a one time stop here will justify giving a bad review like others have done. Any place can have an off day once in a while. I have been eating here every once in a while with my girlfriend for a couple of years now and have never been disappointed. We're always greeted with a smile and the atmosphere is great. We've tried many of the dishes on the pasta menu and they were all very tasty and the portions very generous. Among our favourites are the Spaghetti Carbonara and Linguini Amici. Don't let the bad reviews stop you from trying this place, some people are just too uptight and picky sometimes.
Amazing! Try the Thai chicken pizza. We don't live anywhere near amici's yet we drive 30mins there and back just for this pizza. So yummy.
Awesome food, great atmosphere. I've been to Amici a couple times now and was so impressed tonight with our server. From the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty. My Tortellini Papalina was absolutely amazing and portioned beautifully. It seems like everywhere you go lately has become so cookie-cutter and commercial. I think it's hard to find quality authentic Italian cuisine with the service and atmosphere to match and Amici does this very nicely! Four thumbs up from us :)
Diamond in the Rough!. My husband and I love Amici. We love the specials ecspecially two for one pasta night on Wednesday! If it is very very busy we have had to wait a long time for our food but it is so worth the wait. I reccomend the Amici Bruschetta and my hubby loves the carbonara. Never had bad food there!

I went here with my boyfriend for a date. We read mixed reviews but decided to try it anyway. When we got there we were promptly seated to a cute table along the wall - a great spot to sit and the atmosphere in general is really warm and comfortable to be in. Our server (forget her name!) was fantastic - she was prompt and didn't make a single mistake even though I'm pretty much exactly like Sally from "When Harry Met Sally" when I order food. The appetizer (bruschetta) came out quickly and was awesome - definitely a new favorite. The main courses were also fairly prompt and tasted great (though the common complaint of lack of spice isn't completely unfounded). We both really liked what we had. Our server and the kitchen staff also made an alteration to my meal that they don't normally do which I really appreciated. The only thing I didn't care for was dessert (mine the peanut butter cheesecake and his the pecan pie). They were overly sweet and just not very good. I don't really mind though compared to the rest of the experience :) Appetizer - 9.5/10 Main Course - 9/10 Dessert - 4/10 Service - 10/10
I love this place! Great food, great service, and I love the restaurant itself!! It's definitely a place I will continue to go. The tortellini panna and the lasagna are to die for :)
Good food and good service. I've been here 7 or 8 times now and it's always been good food and good service! Love the complementary bread! It can get a little noisy when it's busy as it is a family restaurant. Well worth the $$!
Great food, Great service!. I was really happy with the choice of food selections we had to choose from. The appetizers arrived within 10 minutes and our main course arrived within 20 minutes. The staff is extremely friendly. Look forward to going again!

Great pizza, nice and unexpected atmosphere. I have been 5 or so times, have yet to try anything other then the pizza, which has been good everytime, so why reinvent the wheel right. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff.
Fast and friendly service on a busy night. Good appetizers (brushetta and calamari) and very tasty pasta (the salsicce and penne jambalaya). We will definitely be back again. Quite good.
Used to Go All the Time. We used to got there all the time for there wing/pizza/pasta specials in the lounge and sitting on the patio, looking out over the lake. Food was good, but eventually just lost interest, I cannot remember why. I think it is time for another night out.
Lovely. Sometimes the service here is not so great but the food is always always always good. I have not once had a bad meal. They give you alot of food for what you pay and the atmosphere is really nice. The pasta 2 for 1 night is great and super cheap.
Yummy. Great taste, great value for money. It is a little pricier but the amount of food you get is impressive and it tastes great.
