Review The Park Kitchen And Bar - Calgary

David Nunes
Lovely place! It feels very homey, from the decor, to the furnishes, to the tasteful uniforms worn by the staff. Everyone was very friendly, the food was good and the $2 oyster special on Wednesday's is a great deal for some fresh tasting oysters. This location would make a great place for those who are trying to find a local bar to make it their regular watering hole.

The Park Kitchen and Bar is a leader in food quality, menu variance, and the ability to provide celiac safe food! This place has become one of my top places to both go to when I’m in the city, as well as confidently recommend to celiac folk and non-celiac people alike!! What makes them so good for celiac? Dedicated fryers, the ability to offer almost their whole menu (with some substitutions of course), breaded chicken and fries (yes, fully gluten free!) as well as knowledgeable servers who know what the word celiac entails. If there was a place that deserves to be in business and thrive, The Park is one of them, just for their compassion to give celiac people an inclusive experience.

To say I enjoyed my meal is an understatement! I had the lemon Mediterranean pasta. This is a MUST HAVE AGAIN MEAL. I loved every bite. So good. Shout out to the chef! Thank you for such a delicious lunch. I will be back for more. Also my server was excellent. The whole place killed it today ☺️

The food is great! We had burgers, the one I had with goat cheese was amazing. highly recommended trying the Mac and cheese side! Very yummy. On the expensive side as far as typical large restaurants go, but worth a treat. Very spacious with many seating options, including bar and patio. Patio has cover and heaters, it's a great spot on a nice day. Kids eat for $5 on Tuesdays!

Keep coming back to this place because I really enjoy the ambiance of it. Our server was very attentive, food was wonderful, especially because the kitchen helped to accommodate my keto diet o twist on the Asiago chicken. The wine we ordered was delicious (pictured). And the cheesecake dessert was just the right portion for two of us to split! Will gladly go back again. Love this place.

We go to The Park quite often, usually on Tuesdays when it's kids eat for 5 dollars as we are very frugal with our money. The kids meals include a meal, a side, a drink and a sundae. The service was a bit slower than usual, but we went later than we usually do so it was a bit busier, so understandable. Our meals were good and had no complaints. You are probably reading this going why is this person then giving a one star, is it a mistake? Then came our bill. We ordered root beers for our kids, usually we get them sprite or something else. The root beers came in a can and not from the tap. Our waitress Taryn "forgot" to mention that their is a charge of $4.25 for drinks out of the can (kids meals are $5 dollars on Tuesdays after 2pm so 75 cents less than a kids meal for a drink!). This would have been nice to know and we would have chose another drink for the kids which are supposed to be included in the kids meal. Effectively we paid the full price of the kids meal (which is $11 dollars) with the addition of those root beers. So my advice to the restaurant is please make sure your servers are advising customers on additional charges which they are not expecting, it's not fun seeing hidden charges on any bill and to be quite honest it's part of their job.

Dinner was average with three people having the same dish. Roast prim rib, all came cold or very cool to the table, two were requested to be medium well however all three came under cooked not raw but close. The meal in general was at best average. Service was pleasant and friendly but lacking attention to detail. The main being a dismal failure there was hope for the hot chocolate cake and coconut ice cream but like the main it was cold cake that resembles a ding dong. Tough to recommend the park itmay be a good stop for drinks.

Was here on family day for an early dinner. We got a booth at the back of the restaurant. I ordered a steak sandwich, my wife a capri salad. My two boys ate a pizza and wings. The food took quite a while to come out, about 25 min. My steak sandwich was small for the almost $20 price tag. No complaints about the pizza or wings. My wife's salad was okay, but didn't come with the balsamic vinegar it was supposed to. I wasn't really impressed with the food here. I like the other chain restaurants like Earl's or Milestones. Update; February 10th 2022 Came for dinner the food was good our server was very good. I had the Salmon, the rice was a little dry but the rest of the dish was decent.

We held a party here for my boot camp clients on a Sunday night for about 25 people. Jason was really wonderful to us, from planning the party with me, to communicating in a timely and helpful manner, to ensuring we were well taken care of that night. The food was delicious and the gluten-free options were perfect. Our awesome server Marisol was attentive, professional, and lovely. The Park has a great vibe and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Plus we love the tree! It's such a great menu too, with beautiful food, lots of tasty gluten-free options, and big fat chicken wings in delicious flavours! Having enjoyed this restaurant as a private diner, and a party member, I can say that they are absolutely consistent with their food and service. I happily recommend them and will definitely be back for more!

The calamari came out very cold and dry. The second try came out a bit warmer but still dry. My Caesar salad was soggy lettuce which was replaced without me asking. This place did not live up to the other reviews or Facebook posts I've seen. While my waitress Courtney was very understanding and helpful, I will not return.

Food was good, but not the best. I had the fish and chips. Batter was not as thin and crispy as it should be for a great fish and chips but was fine. My wife had the fish and chips and she found hers to be doughy and possibly under cooked. Waitress was very confused. We were a group of ten and after taking our orders she eventually returned with three orders not even close to what was ordered. Once served it was a long time between visits that the waitress came back to us and it took ages to get our bill and were pretty much the last ones in the restaurant. When a restaurant charges the set fee for tip the service should be better than if you were a couple not worse. I like this place and will certainly go again as it’s been very good in the past. For a Saturday it was not that busy and we sat out on the patio.

The Park is amazing. Food and service plus the patio is absolutely perfect. I love coming here. Oh and the kids menu has an option of salmon, which blows my mind. My son loved it so much! I Highly recommend eating at The Park.

Really good food, margaritas are worth the extra drive! Service as been great, this is our “go to” place. Thank you for being awesome!

We had the caprese salad, dry ribs, steak and the Santa fe chicken. Everything was delicious with fabulous flavors. Our waitress was attentive and kind. Even the kids Mac and cheese was gourmet! I'm tired of always going to the Keg as a nice place to eat. This will be a new choice for date night!

We visited last night. I was looking forward to trying this place for a while. I was very disappointed. The service was ok- our waitress was friendly and we were seated quickly. However the food was NOT good. I got a pizza - I had one piece. The crust was so burnt I couldn't eat it! It wasn't fresh pizza crust - instead one of the pre made ones you can get at any supermarket. It was suppose to be a margarita pizza .... It was not. It was a cheese (cheddar and mozzarella) with some tomatoes and basil thrown on top. The waitress seen I didn't eat any besides one small piece but didn't remove from the bill. Disappointed.

The Park is one of my favorite places for special occasions and to take out of town visitors too. Service is excellent and the food is always of great quality. Lovely atmosphere and staff go above and beyond to make sure your meal is enjoyable.

My husband and I found The Park about a year ago and it has become one of my favourite places to eat. Last night we tried ordering using Skip the Dishes for the first time. Before we even received the food, I got a call from The Park saying our food was on it's way but they realized there was an error with the order so they wanted to bring us the correct food. I was extremely impressed with the customer service and makes me like The Park even more!
Heather VanAalst
Food was great, service was excellent. Tuesday is kids eat free so awesome bonus. Manager sent us a complimentary dessert and my kids both agreed the Nutella Won tons were on of the best things they had ever eaten. We will for sure be back. Kids would like to see a burger on the kids menu.

Awesome valentines menu!! Great service!! Amazing staff and well managed. Well worth it!!

I was at The Park Wednesday the 19th to join a friend for a bite to eat and a few drinks. Hadn't been to the restaurant in a long time so it was a perfect choice. Service and your appy menu was great and it just happened to be 1/2 price wine night! Icing on the cake. :) Can't wait for warmer weather to enjoy the patio!!

This place is awesome & great food. Have never had bad food or bad service. Try the lobster tacos...... so yummy!

Excellent restaurant. Good food reasonable prices and nice decor. Tuesday’s special included pizza for $12. Excellent. The fish and chips was truly a great dish. Huge portions.

Excellent pub/restaurant that struck a perfect balance between the two. The interior is beautiful resembling a community park with a big tree as a focal point. The music was not too loud to drown out your conversation (which seems to be trending in this city). The food was excellent. My partner and I both got the breakfast scramble and had the brie appetizer which I highly recommend. We will definitely be back.

Decor:<br/>clean and nice ambiance. Easter Sunday lunch and surprised that there was only a handful of tables. <br/><br/>Service:<br/>very friendly and attentive staff. not just our server, but also the hostess attended to us quite regularly. and both were quite pleasant. <br/><br/>Price: very fair<br/><br/>Starter:<br/>Calamari - ok... a weird mix of "non-committal" flavourings. served on a bed of marinara sauce, topped with black olives, shaved parmesan cheese and arugula, and a side of tzaziki sauce and a lemon wedge... is it italian? is it greek? is it create your own flavours? if so, the marinara should also have been served on the side. marinara doesn't go with tzaziki. add to that the batter wasn't crispy all the way through, doughy in the middle. don't think i'd order this again. <br/><br/>Chicken & Waffles - a pretty decent take on the traditional recipe. instead of regular maple syrup, there's a maple bourbon butter sauce that tasted more like a buttery caramel sauce, instead of butter and hot sauce, there's a sort of spicy whipped cream they called chipotle cream. all in all, quite good. the best part of this dish wash how the chicken was cooked perfectly. tender and juicy, not over cooked and dry as sometimes chicken tenders tend to be. easily our favourite dish today. <br/><br/>Brussel Sprouts - cooked in a balsamic and honey concoction... really disgusting... nothing about this was good. the brussel sprouts themselves were overdone, but the worst part is the balsamic and honey. these flavours just plain don't go together. at first we thought it was too sweet, so the waitress brought us another one, but it didn't help. the whole thing was just plain wrong. feel like whomever is in charge of the menu is just plain trying too hard to be creative. a big miss here. the menu stated "Tender brussel sprouts fried with bacon, pecorino, balsamic crema, garlic & lemon", but you couldn't taste bacon at all. all you could taste was the overpowering balsamic. maybe the worst thing i've ever eaten anywhere. just really bad. <br/><br/>Entree:<br/>Wild Mushroom Pizza - all the ingredients were of the usual fair for a mushroom arugula pizza with truffle oil, however, the execution was off. we've had this dish all over the place. from Famoso's to Via Cibo to pretty much everywhere else. the difference is that, here, they put the shaved asiago on the pizza BEFORE baking it. what this does is turn the cheese into a hard and chewy mess. others got it right to put the parmesan on after baking. much softer and way more appetizing. this method made me not want to have another slice after the first one. asiago and other hard cheeses don't melt and become soft like a mozzarella, that's why others don't bake it. <br/><br/>Steak and Eggs - asked for rare and they baked it. quite often, restaurants have trouble making a rare steak. it'll usually be over cooked or completely too cold in the middle. this was done well. probably helps that it's a very thin steak. fantastic grill marks and tasty. only issue was that the menu states that the meal was served with a side of fruit. if you look at the picture, you will see two small chunks of cantaloupe and a sprig of grapes. that's all. a bit dissatisfied with that. plus the playing was nothing special. good thing the steak was good. eggs were also poached perfectly. <br/><br/>Breakfast Scrambler - this was good. or t least good enough. nothing too special. but done well. only issue, it was super hot (temperature wise). it was served on a hot plate that was so amazingly hot, the first bite burned the somer's tongue and kept so long intake the meal. once we were done, you could feel how hot the table under the skillet had been. not just warm, but after half an hour or more of sinking, the table was surprisingly hot.<br/><br/>Overall, the food was just average, except the chicken and waffles, that was quite good. pizza was disappointing and the the brussel sprouts was not edible at all. we'll likely give this another try, but pay closer attention to the menu when ordering so as to stay away from the more "creative" dishes. i think if you stick with the known, you won't be as likely to be disappointed.<br/><br/>*** props to the manager for comping our Brussel Sprouts. that was unexpected, but certainly appreciated. classy.

Booked with Open table for Valentines Dinner. Asked for a table that was not drafty, booth or whatever. They stuck as at the two-up table in the middle of the restaurant. Seriously? Anyone read the request?<br/><br/>Dinner was average - Fish n Chips was OK, the gravy they offered tasted like Creme of Mushroom soup - Worst ever. Ignored that ...<br/><br/>Wife had Spaghetti - again - average, but not great.<br/><br/>Their Special Dessert - Banana Split. SERIOUSLY the worst ever. The banana had to be cut with a steak knife. That is not how you do a candied banana - shoe leather at least looks and probably tastes like shoe leather. I digress ...<br/><br/>Waitress tied her best, but I do mention that she told us up front she tried all the specials and they were excellent. Until of course the Banana split arrived for Dessert, she had not seen that one she tells me now. If she had, I'm sure she would not have so heartily recommended it. <br/><br/>NOT up to PAR at the PARK. Not sure what their issues are, but they need to kick it up a notch before I'll ever go back there. <br/><br/>Waste of time and money ...

Checked out this place after taking the dog to south land/carburn park. Has a very nice interior and layout. The server was friendly and knew the specials. Husband ordered the Cajun chicken club and I ordered the daily special which was a corned beef panini. The side mac and cheese was very good, husband liked his sandwich and the corned beef panini was great. Could taste all the ingredients from the garlic aioli to the onions to the mushrooms and the corned beef. We were both too full for dessert so didn't have any but imagine it would be good. Will definitely be back to check out brunch.
Gerard
We went on a Wednesday night which is half price bottle night. They were out of half the red wine in the menu!!! Then we order the special which is oysters and they're out of them. So we decide to order other food which was decent and waitress asks us if we'd like dessert and we order the Banana cream pie and they're out of that. <br/>Extremely disappointed. Why have specials when you're going to be short of stock??? Service was good I would not take that away from our waitress but feel the reserve of food and wine with specials should be considered.

I've driven by this place quite a few times and never gave it a chance so just today I decided to pop in with a friend and try them out for a late lunch or early dinner.<br/><br/>I had ordered the I he tuna tacos with a side of Caesar salad and had a Belgian Moon pint of beer. My friend had the Surf & Turf burger with sweet potato yam fries.<br/><br/>I didn't try the burger but I did have some of his fries and they were fried to perfection being definitely sweet and perfectly crisp. The tuna tacos were equally as good as they were hiding a little bit of Ginger crunch in the middle and was not overly sauced.<br/><br/>The Caesar salad was also good but you can't really mess up chopped lettuce unless you over unless you over sauce it which they did not. Even the croutons tasted light and fluffy yet crispy as you can tell they were made in house and not from a big or store box. Washing it down with that Belgian pint of beer was quite nice.<br/><br/>Adding to the experience was a really nice interior and great service. They had a fake tree in the bar. The tree itself with a really nice prop peace that made me think of a Rainforest Cafe except more mature and sophisticated.<br/><br/>Definitely going back to try more great items on the menu. Would recommend this place to anyone who likes a nice clean modern dining space.

Came here the Sunday of the long weekend. It's a really great space. Lovely decor. There are lots of places for big groups. Service was great, really friendly and quick. <br/><br/>5 of us got the Sunday feature, prime rib. It came with garlic mash, steamed broccoli, and Yorkshire pudding. Broccoli was cooked perfectly, garlic mash was very tasty. Prime rib was also very well cooked. Yorkshire pudding was a bit sweeter than I've ever had before but I like sweet and savoury so I didn't mind. <br/><br/>Would definitely go to this restaurant again. There were a number of things on the menu I'd be interested in trying.

First time to this restaurant for my birthday. It was super spacious with tons of booth seating which I like. The menu has a variety of different options and prices were reasonable. I got the ahi tuna entree which was sesame crusted with bok choy and rice and came with a tangy, spicy sauce. Very good and a great portion too. My hubby got the Fresno burger and he really enjoyed it. Finished and shared the raspberry chocolate ganache and bottled cheesecake with my family. Totally recommend the cheesecake but it had a lot of whipped cream. Totally had to work off the calories. Definitely would come back again.

Should probably let you know I eat completely plant based. Went here for a friend's birthday Sunday afternoon, it wasn't busy at all that day. Saw that there was a few vegetarian options on the menu, so we thought it shouldn't be too hard to cut out eggs/dairy as well. We asked about making the veggie mushroom burger without eggs or dairy, and if it was possible. The waitress stated she would go ask the kitchen and get back to us. Instead we didn't see her for a while and then we got the meal in the picture. A mushroom, a slice of tomato, that slop is caramelized onion and arugula without a bun (brioche buns have egg). We asked for toast, but that had eggs, we asked for a wrap, but apparently that also had eggs. The waitress didn't really communicate well, because had we known this was what we were going to get, we would have certainly ordered something else or ordered nothing at all. At least we weren't charged extra for the waffle fries.  We've been to pubs that have been much more accommodating, and the servers much more friendly and communicative.

Really great service!! Brook was top notch, just like my top nachos!! Would come here again and again and again. I do recommend this place thoroughly.

Just came here for Mother's Day brunch and was totally impressed! Our server, Kristi, was very attentive and just a doll. The spread was delicious, not a ton of options like some hotel brunches but unlike those brunches most items were homemade and high quality. It was great to see the owners serving up the food. You can tell they really take pride in their business. I will definitely be going back to The Park to try some of their other delicious dishes.

Beautiful spot! Love love love the decor... You will see for yourself from the moment you walk in. They also have a good size patio, I can't wait to go back this summer. Menu is huge with tons of options making The Park a great location for any group! Everyone was left satisfied and happy with the endless choices. Cold beer on tap too.. Can't go wrong!

"What a wonderful walk in the park! "<br/> We visited the park on Saturday night and we were blown away! We had previously booked a reservation at a different place down town for a suprise birthday, and they ended up cancelling on us so we decided to call The Park. We have been wanting to go there since it re opened, so We called a week in advance and they were more than happy to take our reservation for a Saturday night . They set us up with a beautiful table away from everyone else that was dining in there at the time. This was really nice because it allowed us to mingle without interrupting other people's dinner . We proceeded to tell Courtney, the waitress that we were in a very big hurry because we had tickets to a show. She did a wonderful job getting out food out to us in a timely manner and kept our drinks full as we dinned and was very friendly and welcoming towards us. Now if I could pick just one thing that I love about this place the most is the food !!!! It was phenomenal. I had the rib eye and I can say hands down... One of the best steaks I have ever had, I highly recommend it to anyone that goes there. I would say this place is a definite new Favorite for our family, we love the upscale atmosphere and food! Keep up the wonderful work.

This new restaurant has a lot of potential. We went here for brunch one morning (photo of menu attached). They were slow bringing out our food and bill at the end, however, the waitress was super attentive and apologized for one small plate mishap (the dish came out lukewarm and they cooked a whole new meal to fix it). The food itself was pretty good - the breakfast hash browns were delicious. Their main menu is quite large and has some different dishes on it that sound very tasty. The place is decorated really well. We'd definitely come back here to give it another shot for dinner one night.

We went here last night, it came highly recommend by a friend who has similar food allergies as I do so I though it was a great place to go for girls night out. The decor and ambience where amazing! Our waitress was super friendly and very accommodating. Because of my allergies there wasn't much I could eat and I did expect that but was super happy to be out for a night out and the waitress made every effort to accommodate me. Basically all I could eat was plain romaine lettuce no dressing, no cheese or croutons a grilled chicken breast and some grilled shrimp. The food was good but when we got our bill I was floored!!! My meal alone was $24!! I couldn't believe it! I had no problem paying for the meat ($12) but being charged full price for a Caesar salad when all I had was lettuce was crazy!! I questioned the waitress and she said she would check into it and came back saying that they discounted my meal a whole $2...so I was now only paying $10 for a plate of lettuce?!!! I was stunned!! I understand that they have costs other then the price of lettuce but $10 is ridiculous and though I had a great experience it's not somewhere I will eat again and I definitely won't be recommending The park to any of my friends anytime soon...especially if they have diet restriction!
Justin
Came here for lunch and sat at the bar and had great service from the female bartender. She made me feel at home . Food was decent, had the daily sandwich and soup and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the soup. Will be coming back for lunch next week and hope I get served by the same lady .

We have dined here 3 or 4 times and have always been impressed with the quality. Highly recommended if you appreciate carefully prepared food.

The Park offers above average food at an above average price. I ate here on an early Thursday evening for dinner with my wife and we both enjoyed it. They offer a fairly average pub style menu (burgers, pasta, pizza, sandwiches) with some twists. The food is fresh and bright as they focus on using local product for their dishes. I had the butter chicken which was very good and my wife ordered the quinoa salad and she said it was excellent. I remember when this place was called Baton Rouge before it suffered a fire in their utility room. The renovations look good as the bar area is very spacious and would be a great place to watch "the game."

Was here yesterday for lunch at noon. Its a big restaurant so you won't have any problem finding a table - though I made a reservation and I m glad I did because it was busy during lunch hour. Smart business crowd. Service was good. Food was decent - I had the pineapple chicken burger and my colleague had the quesadillas. Will come here again for lunch! Nice ambience.

My family and I came for supper here this past weekend and I have to say we probably won't return. We waited far too long for our food to arrive which was incredibly inconvenient as we have a toddler. I had the butter chicken which I shared with my son and my husband. Within 24 hours we were all very ill with cramping, puking and diarrhea. <br/>Wouldn't recommend this spot to anyone.<br/>

Great Wings, and daily specials!<br/><br/>Although the quality of the food can sometimes be a little hit and miss, they serve elevated versions of standard pub food, with a few extra menu items that are sure to draw your attention.<br/><br/>The restaurant side is fairly kid friendly, and the bar/patio is a great place to have a few beers and enjoy some delicious wings.<br/><br/>Recently, the manager was nice enough to give us our first round of drinks on the house, because we rode our bikes to the restaurant. They are obviously trying hard to win over the locals, and are doing a pretty good job of it.

been here once and it was wonderful. the restaurant was so busy but the food and service was still on point! great food, great beer, and great atmosphere!
Dawne Law
The food was good and the servers were polite and quick with taking orders and making sure that the right dishes were served to the appropriate guest. It is a little pricey though, even for its services and choice of menu, but the desserts are definitely awesome (in taste and in portion served!)
Kevin
Glad The Park is open again after the flood. Great atmosphere and food. Panini was tandoori chicken and was excellent! The calamari in the other hand was over battered, dry and rubbery. We still love this place and will be back again soon!<br/>

Great place to get a bite to eat. Has a nice mix on the menu of a lot of great beers on tap. Excellent ambiance and great staff. My husband and I chose the chicken wrap. They were fresh and fairly flavorful.

This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Calgary. It's beautiful, clean, food is delicious, drinks are good and the price is fair. The people are cool and the service is also great. What more could you want?
Bthompson28
Went for brunch at The Park today and was disappointed. My sons food was cold, my wife's poached eggs had shells in them and it took almost 40 mins to get our food in a restaurant that was almost empty. If the owners want to stay in business they are going to need to step it up.
BandD
Always disappointing <br/>Went in after renos and apparent new menu. <br/>Same old <br/>Will not recommend or return. <br/>Food is average <br/>Menu limited and lacking

Much better than "the Park" was
John
Overpriced. Nothing say fine dining like day old microwaved potatoes.

A decent meal close to home. We live fairly close to The Park and had visited its previous incarnation, Baton Rouge, several times. Tonight was our first visit to The Park. It's a bright, clean and comfortable place. The menu (which can be found on their website) is extensive. Two of our party chose the chicken wrap. They were fresh and fairly flavourful. The side of carrot, ginger mint soup was a full size, rather than a cup. It was a light addition. The sweet potato fries were tasty, but like all the hot items, were not served hot enough. Two diners chose the lobster mac and cheese. The taste would have been enhanced had it been served hotter.<br/><br/>The server missed bringing a quinoa salad, but apologized promptly and removed it from the bill. One member of our group has special needs and the young server dealt with her in a respectful and polite manner. <br/><br/>Not the best restaurant on our list but based on proximity we will definitely visit again

Fantastic Group Event. Our company held our Xmas cocktail party at The Park and it was a huge success. From the moment we walked in the door we were taken care of by friendly, courteous staff. We had pre-ordered finger foods/appetizers from a large selection of items including gluten free and dairy free; desserts as well. They even had a separate food table for the gluten free items. It was all very delicious and all were well fed. We were completely taken care of; our servers were extremely friendly, energetic, were on top of things, as soon as a glass was empty, it was removed and another beverage was offered . The servers had sparkling personalities, they made the evening very enjoyable. The next day our staff were raving about how enjoyable it was and how great the food was; and some were munching on leftovers they had packed in the little take out boxes we were given so that nothing was wasted. Our office is across the street in Quarry Park, so many of us have enjoyed some tasty lunches there (also with great service). I definitely recommend experiencing The Park and appreciate the tasty food options and great service we were given.

It was Excellent. Our small group had a variety of items, they were all very good, and they were served promptly. The service was polite and appropriate. She was very good, our beverages never ran out, she was quietly present, and our food was appropriately hot. The dishes all received very good reviews, and the price is competitive. Overall an excellent experience.

Great food, beer, and service!!! 5 happy diners!!! Will return!!!. Although the website states "14 local and craft beer" the menu only has about 8 craft beers, 5 or so local. Nonetheless a good range from Village Blacksmith to Big Rock Grasshopper to Ranger IPA. The burgers (Veggie, Surf&Turf, and Pineapple), Fish & Chips, and Steak were all very tasty and a moderate size. The deserts (bread pudding and Nutella dumplings) were good, not great. The service was excellent and timely.

Great food, service! A natural change.. My first online review in regards to a restaurant. <br/><br/>On October 24, 2014 my friend and I were going out for dinner. We wanted to try "The Park." We drove there once before it was opened. We decided to go for dinner and we were greeted by great staff at the front and our waitress was amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect to when it came the to food because it was more natural food. The bacon and cheerer burger I had was amazing. The lettuce was a taste that I haven't had since I was a kid because it was real lettuce. It was angus beef which was also great(I asked the waitress). I could sit there all day and eat the Mac & Cheese, it was so good. And not the Mac & Cheese that comes out of a box. My friend had a Surf & Turf burger with a salad and a order of fries. She said "everything was great." I had tried the fries and they tasted like the potato it came from. It didn't taste like the fries you get at fast food, out of the freezer isle. It was a packed evening and everything came within a timely manner. My friend and I had no complaints what so ever. The price was comparable to other restaurants, but the food, service was a cut above. Thanks for the great experience. We are going to be returning customers soon for brunch.

Great experience!. My husband & I have eaten at this locally owned restaurant twice during the past month. Both times we were greeted cordially & shown to our table without delay. The serving staff were friendly & knowledgeable about the menu choices & our meals were delivered in a timely manner. The food is wonderfully prepared & everything we have ordered has been delicious! We definitely recommend this restaurant - outstanding food & service - well worth the price!

Food was not good. Four of us stopped by for dinner in mid September (18th, I believe). My wife and her friend ordered a chicken breast which was prepared with a dijon mustard glaze. The other gentleman in our group ordered a prime rib sandwich and I had the ribs. Unfortunately, the chicken tasted bad (sour taste not related to the dijon as was suggested). My ribs also tasted "off" and were not fresh. They may have been prepared for the lunch crowd and left to stand around. The prime rib sandwich was good as was the service.<br/><br/>So, having to return 3 of the 4 meals ordered because the meals tasted bad left us with not wanting to return to The Park which is unfortunate because we are Quarry Park ressidents.<br/><br/>Something else I found odd was the fact that the manager presented us with pre-printed cards apologizing for the food and/or service that were not to our liking. Makes you wonder why these cards are pre-printed unless the question of food and service is an ongoing issue.

We had a pleasant lunch. Attentive staff and good food. I like the atmosphere.

Stay away from the pizza. I was really excited to try this new restuarant. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. The server was clearly trying but was not successful. She was unable to split the bill (there was 2 of us) and shorted my friend $10 on her change. I ordered the pizza. It was served lukewarm. It looked and tasted like it came from the frozen food isle. In fact, I have had better pizza from the frozen food isle. The hostess was very friendly and the decor is nice but with poor service and bad food, I will not be back.

Good Evening at "The Park". The meal was great. Our waitress Jenn was excellent. This is a great restaurant and we're happy to have it in our "hood."

Love "The Park". Husband and I have been three times now since the opening and have never been disappointed. Everything we have tried (duck, butternut squash soup, tuna tacos, beet salad, lobster macaroni, wings, Caesar salad, etc.) have been tasty, beautifully presented and best of all brought to the table piping hot when the dish requires. Service is friendly and efficient. Our recent discovery of the Croissant bread pudding gave us a whole new appreciation for bread pudding which just happens to be one of our favourite desserts. We still haven't found a better butternut squash soup. We hope this restaurant continues to grow and thrive. A wonderful addition to our neighbourhood and worth it if you just happen to be in the neighbourhood.

I had high hopes, but it's too bad they couldn't deliver. My wife and I visited ‘The Park’ last night for our anniversary. I was excited to go because of the reviews online. When we made our way in, we were blown away by the decor and the ambiance of the place – it truly felt like you were dining in the heart of a park. Overall our service was great; the server was friendly and courteous. The only downfall was the food. Our first dish was the calamari, which was incredibly, incredibly bland and the batter tasted burnt and bitter. My wife and I are very cautious about our salt intake, but in this instance, we had to use the table salt provided because the calamari lacked taste. The kale on top didn’t help much in adding flavor. The only flavor in the dish came from the olives and the rationed marinara sauce lightly layered on the bottom of the calamari pile. Our main course was somewhat better; my wife had the Monday special lobster and ahi tuna tacos and I tried the duck breast myself. The ahi tuna taco, we both thought missed the target, but the lobster taco was spectacular! My plate lacked colour and the blueberry sauce was again, very bland. Fortunately the side potatoes and snap peas were perfectly seasoned and cooked. It was as if two different chefs had created my dish. My server explained the duck breast would be served medium rare, which I accepted, because that’s how a good duck breast should be presented. However when I received it, the breast was cooked all the way through. I was expecting the fat on top to be crispy and full of flavour, but the blueberry glaze on top made it soggy and along with the overcooked meat, the whole protein was quite chewy. I wouldn’t normally complain about food, but for $65 sitting for two, I would have expected higher quality. All-in-all, the atmosphere and service was great; the food was mediocre, overrated and overpriced. We wouldn’t likely come back, unless the menu was revamped or if we were craving some lobster tacos.

Great service and atmosphere, the decor was lovely as well.. Party of six really enjoyed our meals, steak, pastas and the beet salad was the favourite dish of the night! Will return for lunch menu soon.

Going back again and again!. Very pleased with The Park, pleasant surroundings and staff. I liked the French Onion soup as it wasn't salty and didn't have massive amounts of cheese, delish. <br/>Tried the beet salad, free range chicken burger - All very good. <br/>I will definitely go back.

I've been here a couple times and was sadly disappointed. The menu is boring, the food is mediocre and it's way too expensive for what is being offered there. The decor and the staff were nice enough. Wouldn't bother going back though.

Very impressed. We enjoyed our experience! The poutine is fantastic and very creative. The service was spectacular! Can't wait to go back!

Pub Food or Upscale Restaurant?. First of all the restaurant décor is very pleasant. Everything is fresh and attractive. Hostess and server were both pleasant and the service was efficient and well timed throughout the meal. One of the guests didn't care for one of the tacos (no fault of the restaurant) but without asking the price was deducted from the bill. All in all a good experience.<br/>As for the food, my pulled pork sandwich was excellent. The regular fries (of the string fries variety) - not so much. Pay the extra buck or two and get sweet potato fries - they looked good. The desert items looked interesting, but nobody seemed drawn to any of the selections. We tried the Nutella wontons. A unique dessert. Perhaps a bit much, but I'll bet that it's a popular choice. At $5.25 or so, the specialty coffees are a well-priced and well executed after dinner treat. <br/><br/>My only hesitation in recommending The Park, is the menu. The majority of the food is pizza, appetizers, burgers and sandwiches. Pub grub. Prices aren't outrageous, but perhaps a buck or two more than a regular pub. Then you suddenly step up (past the 3 pasta dishes) to entrees at $30+. This place doesn't feel like a pub. It's much classier than that, but at the same time, for $30+ I'm going to go to the Keg for a steak or other fine dining establishments. What's missing here is the pub+ food menu. Some unique choices, but they need more in the $20 to $30 range that shows the same flair.

Glad we went there. Excellent food<br/>great service and décor<br/>will be going back....soon<br/>table for 5 -`average rating on various app and mains was 9/10<br/>(calamari, dumplings, 1/2 rack ribs, wild mushroom pizza, lobster tacos, Thai salmon/mango salsa, roasted pepper penne'...cheesecake in a jar was great too)<br/>AND THEY TAKE RESERVATIONS!

I Don't know how they do it. I don't know they do it, but every time I go to the Park It seems to get better and better. I'm always welcomed by friendly staff, amazing service, great value, and food that is always consistent .The only thing bothersome about the Park is that I don't eat out more often.
Robert Sockes
Menu is amateur and disappointing, drinks are overpriced, Pint glasses aren't even full sized, the waitresses look like they don't want to be there, overheard our waitress complaining about the management, restaurant was empty and lacked atmosphere, really unprofessional.

Fabulous Food. We've already been a handful of times and cannot say enough about the great service and even better food!<br/>Make sure you try the Lobster Tacos and the Surf and Turf Burger! So yummy!

Great Place. I was blown away by the attention to detail. Apparently there is a new Chef whose also worked at some of the top establishments in Calgary and it really shows. If you haven't been here I would encourage you to try it out. You may just be positively surprised and this is coming from someone whose well travelled and knows a great place when he sees it.

First Impressions. After reading the reviews I feel we must have went on a bad night ,the service was very friendly but not one of the 3 prime rib sandwich ordered was correct. The server seemed confused and we had to keep asking her to repeat because she talked so low. The food..... was just Ok. I was excited to see you move into the neighbourhood after Baton Rouge closed.( Now that place had really great Prime Rib) Very Disappointed not a real great first experience.<br/>We did get 1 free desert to share. Thank You, BUT It doesn't change the bitter taste from the experience.

Best Restaurant In Calgary. The bad reviews on here are ridiculous. I have been to this place many many times and will continue to go back. Best restaurant in Calgary in my opinion. Staff are very friendly, manager is always around checking on tables, food and drink menus are amazing! I recommend it to everyone and will continue to go regularly.

Too many better places.. This was my second time eating at this establishment and more then likely will be my last. its not that the food was horrible. it was just ive had far better at other restaurants at that price point.<br/>the first time I went was a week ago with some people from work. I had their regular burger with a caesar salad. my boss had the pull pork sandwich and the other had a chicken club type thingy (name escapes me). I found my burger to be very boring and the meat lacked flavor and was really dry. the Caesar salad wasnt anything speical either. The other two in my party described the food as mediocre but again not horrible. <br/><br/>the second time I went was last night with my gf for a quick dinner before a show. I ordered their spicy italian pizza and was very disappointed. im pretty sure the crust was pre-made at a factory and not in house. it was bad. the sauce was extremely salty, the meat they had chosen to put on the pizza was thick and tough and I couldnt bite through it without taking all the toppings of the top because the meat was a large slab.the crust was soggy. the pepper they put on for the topping was a brined pepper which I thought was a strange choice and it didnt taste very good (more added saltiness). why not put fresh peppers on it? my gf had ordered the surf and turf burger after I advised her not too, haha. And of course she didnt like it. thought it was very messy and not put together well. pizza was taken off our bill after I complained. service was good. atmoshere is nice except for the crazy loud Technicolor seats, haha.

Impressed. Been to the Park a few times now and decided to write a review. Working in the area it's nice to have different lunch and after work options. I came for lunch when they first opened with a group of 6. It was a little bit of a wait but we excused it as they were new-I think it was their third day open-. Now we can be in and out quickly within our lunch hour. The food is great...they have a range of different options...LOVE all the big salads. Quinoa salad has been my fav so far. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the service has been very cheerful and attentive every time. The happy hour specials are great too. Overall, a great new addition to the area. Looking forward to belinis on the patio in the sun!

New chef, inferior meals. We went to the Park when it first opened and had an excellent meal. Right after the May long weekend we went in for supper and were told that they were only offering the lunch menu, very strange. Went again tonight, about 3 weeks later and they are still only offering the lunch menu for supper with a few supper options. I had the same meal when we first went there but this time it was far inferior. When they asked for feedback I told them how disappointed and I asked if they have a new chef, and I was told they did.<br/><br/>Bottom line, I would not recommend the Park. It'll be out of business soon, just like it's predecessor.

Great atmosphere. I've never been to the area but The Park is a nice place with a great feel to it. I love the decor, it's open and airy and the tree inside is very unique. It's casual but refined at the same time, a place a group of guys can go for a beer and watch the game, or a cute place to take a date. The food was amazing (try Tuesday oyster night) and service was good. The manager, Jason is an awesome guy. Overall would highly recommend!

A very pleasant evening at the Park. We just wanted to have a simple celebration for our youngest son's birthday. We ordered a couple of drinks and decided to give the specials of the day a try: two lobster tacos, two seared ahi tuna tacos, a Reuben panino, the corn chowder and a Sumo burger with a side of sweet potato fries.<br/>The new chefs at this recently inaugurated spot surpassed all our expectations:<br/>The tacos were perfectly fresh and layered with unbelievable flavours. The balance between the mango salsa and the spicy aioli enhanced the fresh flavour of the seafood.<br/>The fries were tempura battered to add a level of crispiness. The Reuben was dressed with a perfect combination of mustard and horse radish. The servings were just right.<br/>If you want something sweet, try their cheese cake in a bottle... Not too sweet or saucy but perfect. We'll be back for sure...

The Park. We went to the Park restaurant for lunch at 12 noon on May 22/14. We were looking forward to eating on the patio and the 4 of us were on our lunch hour. We were seated on the patio at 12:10, got our order taken at 12:35 pm and food was served as we needed to leave at 1:15 pm. We took our food with us and we were not offered a discount on anything. We did not even have cutlery at that time. They had lots of excuses why they were so slow, but it wasn't good enough. When we got to eat the food, it was actually quite good, but did not make up for ruining our lunch time. Don't seat us if you cannot provide better service.

Down town in the burbs. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. Food was good too: I had the meatball sandwich and my perpetually dieting gf had the quinoa salad: both were excellent. We ate during a Friday lunch, so we expected a bit of a wait.

Lunch service is extremely slow. Wait staff does not come around for refills. Over priced food.

Hopes dashed for improvement. After having tired Baton Rouge twice and then giving up, we were hoping for some better results with this recent new opening. It's a nice atmosphere and no complaints on the service, but goodness, the food was poor! I ordered the Salmon and my wife a chicken dish and both were very disappointing! Both dishes came with 'vegetables', which was just green beans...and that was the highlight of the meal. Both meals came with rice which was in fact one single blob. You could pick up the entire serving on a fork, given it was a solid mass. The salmon was at least 5 minutes overcooked. We rarely send a meal back, but both we both had to return what were very, very poor meals. Good lord, will someone find a good cook for this place. Please learn from the Baton Rouge failure(s)!!!
HiXpectations
Just Ok. Not sure what everyone is raving about. Had dinner here tonight. Wife had Spicy Samoan pizza and I had Prime Rib sandwich with mac and cheese side. Pizza came on pre-prepared crust and was way overcooked. Prime rib sandwich was ok but mac and cheese was a lunch bag letdown - macaroni undercooked, sauce was bland. Apparently the head chef here is also the head chef at the Fine Diner - definitely does a better job there.

Soooo Happy The Park is in Our Neighborhood. Hubs and I went to The Park on Mother's Day and we're very glad we did. What a change from the previous restaurant (Baton Rouge). The Park has taken the restaurant from dark and somewhat staid to a more open, bright and lively space. Love the new colors! You can tell everyone is really happy to be working there as soon as you walk in the door and are greeted with a smile. We were shown to our table immediately. Our server was friendly and efficient. We ordered the prime rib special, and although there was a bit of a problem with it, this was quickly rectified and everything tasted delicious. Even the manager Tony personally took care of it. They clearly want to make their customers happy. We were planning our trip back for oyster and wing nights before we even left the building. We're so looking forward to returning soon.

We REALLY wanted to like this place........... We made reservations for the Saturday night before Mother's Day. Started off great. Seated right away, friendly waitress, drinks came quickly and we ordered some apps. The calamari was mush. The $17 lobster tacos came with cold lobster so tough and chewy..we literally stretched a piece until it snapped. The taco shells looked like they came out of an Old El Paso box and were stale. My husband ordered a coke and was mistakenly brought a diet. He said it was fine and would drink it. But then he was charged for a second pop when he ordered a refill of regular coke. We then waited 35 minutes (yes...we timed it) until our entrees arrived. We had a table of 7 and for some reason there was a whole 3-4 minutes between each entrée being served. Mine was the last to come and it was a whole NINE (9) minutes after the first person was served! Every person had something unpleasant with their meal. And we honestly TRIED to find positive things about our meal as we wanted to find a hidden gem in our neighborhood. This is not the place unfortunately. <br/>The kids liked their burgers but the dressing for the veg and salad was so watered down it looked like you dipped your carrot in milk. The guys ordered burgers as well and said they would've been good had they been warm. They also thought the bun was too mushy as they didn't toast the brioche burger buns. Mac & cheese was good...better had it been warm. The ladies ordered the Panini of the day with the soup. The Roasted Garlic soup was AMAZING. I wish I had ordered some as well! Unfortunately the Panini's they ordered (braised beef), showed up with just cheese and tomato and one was so burnt, it was rock hard. They had made the wrong Panini's so we had those taken off the bill to make up for the mix-up. I ordered the chicken club and after it showed up 10 mins late, I noticed they didn't toast the Ciabatta either so mine was mush too. Also didn't like the re-heated chicken breast on it. My side was the roasted (garlic) potatoes. They should've been called boiled potatoes. They was nothing roasted about them. They were soft, mushy, not browned at all, and I didn't taste a hint of garlic. Nobody ordered dessert as we were done wasting our money. My Mom ordered a Bailey's and swears it was the cheaper brand Carolan's. Needless to say, at those prices and no quality control over what goes out of the kitchen, we wont be back. Which as I said, REALLY sucks because we had high hopes for The Park and wanted to like it. But we just cant.

Food and Service Was Very Good. We had reservations as was Mother's Day and our son's birthday. We were seated right away and our drinks and food came soon after. Our meals were very good as was the service. We tried the prime rib, sirloin steaks and two different sandwiches. All delicious!

Good food good service. This was our first visit to The Park, it won't be our last. The menu has a good variety everything our table of 9 sampled was well received. Our server was attentive we never sat with empty glass's. it is good have another option in the south. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone

J S Lynch. My wife and I went in on a Sat night without a reservation and it was extremely busy. However, we were seated within minutes and the food and service were great. We each ordered (different) salad entrees and both were tasty and innovative. Prices were a bit lower than the restaurant that was there before and the service was far superior. The manager on duty was extremely diligent about getting people seated and served and the atmosphere was great. We've returned since and our experience has been identical.

Not a walk in "The Park" !. 2nd visit to this newly owned restaurant in Quarry Park.....Nice atmosphere, friendly service. That is where it ends. First meal with hubby was out super fast, sandwich was so soggy I left the entire bottom of it and the fries were stone cold..Husbands salad he said was good and cost $16. I was tempted to send mine back but did not want to create a bother...2nd time with my son for lunch a week later included identical menu as evening, we both ordered soup sandwich combo which is hard to screw up, but..they did. The panini was rock hard, the shredded cheese on the sandwich was clumped together, bacon cold, chicken cold and very dry, tasteless. The soup was supposed to be beef vegetable, what we got was tepid warm clear consomme, bit of onion and celery and 2 minute pieces of beef I guess....Given this was our second visit to pretty much cold and pedestrian type food it simply does not match the nice surroundings and in most cases the prices either. Apparently the new owners did not learn from the last group that had this location...crappy food eventually means ...no customers....too bad !!
Rcameron343
We wanted to enjoy it but in the end we left dissapointed. Quality of food is poor for the price. Flat bread pizza is made on a pre-made flat bread, not fresh. Toppings were under cooked, pizza was under cooked and cold when it arrived. This is not an exageration....our family of four rec'd their meals over a timespan of 15 minutes - and most of the food was cold when it arrived. Overall, the price of food is too high for the level of quality. It is more like a pub type quality of food to be served to drinking customers...and the price of the kids meals was $10/ea - Grilled Cheese and Mac & Cheese.

Great Restaurant!. Delicious food, comfortable atmosphere, and nice employees. Been three times since the initial opening and everything has been exceptional each time. Will definitely keep going back!

AWESOME!!!!. We noticed the Park was now open. Living in Riverbend, thought we would try it out, hoping for a good new neighborhood hang out. WOW!!! Awesome!! Great service, incredible food, and so much brighter and welcoming atmosphere then the last restaurant in there. Appie specials till 6:00 from Monday - Friday, Wednesday is 1/2 price wine night (and oysters) as well as a whole bunch of other daily features. I had the calamari and the Albertan Pizza and it was FABULOUS. Gourmet pizza FINALLY in the neighborhood. Anyone who hasn't tried it there yet, get going. You're going to find your new favorite place to go.<br/>Way to go you guys! GOOD JOB. <br/>Yum!

I am so thrilled to have a casual yet slightly upscale restaurant/bar in the neighborhood! Went before the grand opening and yet the service was awesome and the food was great. Love the real ingredients and variety on the menu. I'm thrilled that we can take the kids for a family meal or enjoy the separate lounge on an adults only visit. We shared the wild mushroom pizza and the duck breast spinach salad. The salad was terrific, the pizza was good although a little salty. Looking forward to summer nights on the patio! Welcome to the neighborhood, we're do glad to have a new favourite place.

Meatball sliders = amazing. Considering that The Park hasn't officially opened yet, they give amazing service along with amazing food. In particular, the meatball sliders were amazing! The Park is a must for anyone who is open to trying new foods, and even those who like to stick to the classics. Grand opening is Friday April 25, and hopes are that this great restaurant is just going to get better. You will not regret eating here, the food, atmosphere, and service is worth every penny.

We went to The Park last night for dinner, and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner out to this new restaurant. A night out should leave you feeling happy and nicely full, and glad you spent some quality time with your dinning partner at a great restaurant. This Park is the perfect new restaurant for south east Calgary, I can guarantee you it is well worth your time and money.<br/><br/>The decor is awesome; its fun, fresh, and inviting. I loved the fabric pattern on the back the booth seats, bright and cheery. The olive tree in the bar gave the lounge a fun vibe, great choice! The music is a fusion of old and new, the perfect volume that you can enjoy it but don't have to speak over it. The lighting is well done and appeasing; lots of interesting light fixtures. <br/><br/>Customer service is outstanding, from the attentive servers to the hands on management. The manager stopped by our table a couple if times to check in and ask our opinions on our first impressions, how our service was and if we were satisfied by the food. He was sincere in asking for feedback on his new restaurant, and you can easily tell how greatly he cares to deliver an exceptional experience to his customers. <br/><br/>Most importantly the food and drinks. Shock Put was on special, so we tried this beer. Refreshingly flavourful and fruity. We loved everything we ordered, and can't wait to try more of the menu soon. For starters we had the BLT sliders and the lobster tacos. So delicious! The bacon in the slider is so mouthwatering good, I asked the manager what made it so flavourful and it is because the bacon is cured. Good chef! The lobster tacos had the perfect amount of meat to tangy sauce. Recommend! <br/>For mains we both had salads: duck and beet goat cheese salad. The duck was cooked perfectly, excellent sear. The beet salad was superb, dressing has a great kick to it. I inquired what kind it was, and was pleasantly surprised to hear that the chef makes all dressings and sauces in house from scratch! <br/>The portion sizes are perfect, and we were able to fit in a shared dessert. We shared the Nutella Dumplings, they were better than I even imagined. Yum! Will have again for sure!<br/><br/>We look forward to many more dinners out to The Park, and highly recommend you check it out! Keep the great work up managers!!
Christine
The restaurant food needs much improvement. Overcooked, greasy and definitely prices do not reflect what you get on your plate. I realize the restaurant has recently opened but the chef needs more practice with presentation amd the management needs lessons in customer service. I rate this restaurant 4 out 10.
Alley
Been twice already and they aren't even really open yet. Good vibe, seem serious about doing a good job. Meatball sliders and surf and turf burger (with lobster!) have been hilights so far. Good wine and beer selection. Will be back.

No Substitutions allowed. I was excited to try this place and went last night for dinner and based on the food I can't say I have high hopes for this place. I ordered the Brick chicken which comes with rice and vegetables. I asked to substitute the rice for potatoes and they said that they do not allow substitutions and that you would have to pay extra (which we did). The chicken wsa dry, the vegetables were all black looking and undercooked, and the potatoes were undercooked as well. I ordered a strawberry mojito which I didn't care for either.....it was really bitter.<br/>The service on the other hand was very attentive but that could be because we were one of three tables.<br/>I can't say i'm really interestd in trying this place again, but rather go to original Joes across the parking lot.
Steph
So excited to have a real restaurant that serves real food along with real service in this neck of the woods!<br/><br/>We used to live in Mission and we were spoiled with delicious food and being able to walk (stumble?) home after a few glasses of wine... <br/><br/>Living in Quarry Park isn't quite the same... But when we visited the Park Kitchen and Bar tonight we were reminded of what it's like to enjoy a really good meal with wonderful service and a great wine list... And they have oysters on Wednesdays!! Couldn't be happier that this new spot has opened up. New favourite place. Fresh fresh fresh food, fresh ingredients! What I'm trying to say is... Yay!!

Work week lunch. Stopped for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised. was made to feel welcome from the moment I entered. had the carrot and dill soup that was very tasty and followed with the meatball sliders. the meatballs are really good. and I especially liked the little touches - although it was fairly busy I was asked what I wanted within minutes of arriving and the food arrived quickly after. perfect for a working lunch. I was made to feel welcome by all the staff and as well as by the chef who circulated asking how we felt about the food. definitely a recommendation.

My wife and four-year-old ate there last night, and it was a great experience!<br/>Staff was very friendly and very motivated to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and our meal. <br/>The food was delicious. They found a great balance between quality ingredients, without being too pretentious for overpriced.<br/>I'll definitely be back. <br/>I had the meatball sandwich, wife had the chicken club, my son had the chicken tenders.

I absolutely loved the beet salad with arugula and goat cheese, and can't wait to try out a few of their other salad dishes, such as their quinoa-based one. I believe they have just introduced a more summer-centric menu so check it out for lighter fares, burgers and pizzas.
