DON’T READ JUST GO EAT HERE!
If your looking for top quality fresh food made to order then your in the right place! I’ve eaten here many times. The food has always been stellar and the service is wonderful they treat you like family. Donairs are giant, packed full of fresh crunchy & pickled veggies with a tangy sweet sauce and a little drizzle of tahini. Plates are even better with saffron flavoured rice and a generous pile of meat & fresh Vegs. Love that they give you a free pice of baklava with every order. Cannot wait for my next meal here.
Gorgeous massive shwarma and other Lebanese delights. They pack a lot into your wraps and it's simply delicious. Decent prices, friendly service and a free piece of Baklava. This place rules 😍
These guys serve the most authentic and tasty Lebanese cuisine in Calgary. Had the Kafta plate which was filling and diverse is flavour. The prices are reasonable and the customer service is great.
I used to live in this country and the meat is what it should taste like, properly marinated and rich. Well done, I am glad that Canada has a legit place like this.
This is a legit shawarma place. great tasting chicken with amazing wraps. They make it all on their own, you can tell it's quality workmanship while it's made behind the glass. You know it's good when you can finish a large shawarma, you just keep diving into it, the last bite is like the first bite - good all the way. I also like their friendly owner guy, he's knows how to keep his customers happy.
Great food and reasonably priced! The place is not "takeway only" as the listing suggests, as they have a very clean and cool sitting area for one to enjoy the food. Only been once, but plan to be back.
Little Lebanon seems to be the equivalent to Edmonton’s Sunbake Pita Bakery. They make everything fresh, made to order but their selection of eats is more diverse than Sunbake’s. We came for a late Saturday lunch, around 3:00pm, and the place had a consistent flow of people coming in and out. I can see why.
I love this little spot. So much to choose from. The family/staff there are so friendly. I love their garlic sauce, it's amazing. I feel they really put alot of love into all their baked goods.
Stop by for a late quick lunch. This place is always good and consistent. They renovated and now there is a place to sit down and eat. Before it was mainly order and go. The donair are yummy and so are the chicken shawarma. I got a side of 6 pc.falafel and they always give you a free baklava for your order. So awesome since it's always my fav and my husband always give me his baklava! :)
One of my favourites in YYC, they are on my block and feed me like a king whenever I'm in a pinch. The fatoush, fatayer and Donair are amongst the best I've had anywhere! The Donair pockets are made to order, crispy, fresh and outstanding! Go!
Great food and service! The staff is always so kind and welcoming the renovations look great! Try the baklava or the spinach pocket both are delicious.
The outside of little Lebanon is a little ghetto but once you walk in it is much more modern. I ordered the hot pocket and was pleasantly surprised they use fresh dough to make it! Definitely a plus. They give a food portion of meat and veggies and the ingredients taste fresh. I like this place. I can see myself eating here once a week because of quality and its proximity to me.
You really can't go wrong but, the pita pockets (chicken!) are aaaamazing! Don't skip the warak inab and fatayr (especially the spinach and chicken). Excellent fattoush with just the right amount of sour and fantastic pita chips. I have also preordered and picked up for a yummy dinner with friends. The piece of baklava while you wait/pay is just a bonus!
Best shawarma and falafel in town, hands down. I've been to many shawarma places all over the city but nothing compares to Little Lebanon. They do not skimp on meat, veggies or sauce. The service is always super friendly.
This is my go to place for donairs. Friendly staff, great donairs and shawarmas. Really good baklava too. Worth checking out if you're wanting a donair!
Really enjoyed the donator pocket. The meat was delicious great seasoning, not oily. The pocket is baked fresh with the toppings of your choice. My friend and I were in heaven eating this. Also we had some baba ghanuj delicious. On recommendation to the resturaunt would be a few more choices for the topping choices (hummus, tomato and cucumber salad, etc) and the lettuce looked a bit brown.
Try the chicken pockets!! So filling but so good. I love all of the flavours in it. The owner is lovely as well and often gives out complimentary baklava. The refurbishment also looks great and happy that there is more sit down area.
Keep coming back for shwarma. Been going to Little Lebanon for more than a year, and hands-down this is the best shwarma in the city. Great staff, fantastic food, we keep going back for more.
Great place! Been here twice now. Had two different menu items. Both were fantastic. Customer service is great and super friendly! Will be going back.
Excellent Schwarma and Donair. The schwarma and donairs from this place are great. You can get both garlic and sweet sauce, which is pretty killer.
Also, the falafels, baklava, and fatayer are all great too.
We eat here several times a month, and other than some long lines, Little Lebanon doesn't disappoint.
Traditional breakfast. Nothing better then a manakeesh zatar with a tea at 9:00am on my way to work...their dough is light and always fresh.
Generous. This is a great local business that offers culture and a great meal to go. Chicken shawarmas are of high quality and of generous proportions. Recommended for anyone in a rush and needing a quick meal.
Caution: Your breath will take a few hours to recover lol
Not to be missed. One of the best in the city
Such a gem!. Love this place. Have dropped by for take-out a couple of times now. Service is quick and friendly and the food is fresh and so tasty. Food is priced well also. We've tried the chicken shwarma, veggie samosas, and spinach and feta pocket - all were delicious.
One of the best in town. I love this place... I come here every other week, the servings are massive yet well priced. I would give it an 8.5 to 9 out of 10
The Shawarma Chicken sometimes is a bit too salty for me and could use a bit more white meat in the mix but other than that it is very good
The Beef Donair is also good and the sweet sauce is quite good (I'm not normally a sweet sauce person but this is great on the donair with a little garlic and chili)
The donairs and shawarmas are also not overly greasy... they can still be messy with the sauce though... and the veggies are fresh and plentiful.
Very good Kibbeh moist yet not greasy and the meat filling is tasty
I love their fresh Fatayr (minil baked pita pockets) the chicken, the beef and the spinach are all very good and they are even better fresh out of the oven but I do get extra for my lunch the next day
(although the donair meat filled Fatayr aren't that good they taste strange and usually they have to pull those out of the fridge which makes them less palatable even when re-heated)
The Manakish Zaatar is nice too
And... you can't forget the free baklawa while you wait..
Little Lebanon is FAR FAR FAR FAR superior to the often raved about Jimmy's up in the north west... Jimmys was expensive (in comparison), super greasy and not that tasty...their pockets at Jimmys are gross and use weird dough... I certainly won't go back there again
Little Lebanon will have my repeat business for a long long time.
One of the best places to get Lebanese food! The service is amazing and the food is even better!
Best part about the west lrt? It is now that much easier to get to little lebanon. Best donairs that I have eaten and the rest of the menu competes with every sit-down mediterranean place that I've been to: the fatyre, the lebanese coffee, the zaatar, the tabouleh and the baba g are all so good. Complementary baklava is provided and it too is delicious. And the service... how do I desribe it? they truly make you feel like kings and queens. Friendliest place that I've ever eaten at. I'll be back... again and again and agian.
Soooo Close. Ok, so I've eaten the best Lebanese food from the source and this place comes extremely close. I come here at least once a month. Their toum (garlic sauce) is vampire-defying: yes, this is a compliment. Their lahm b'jin is one of my favourites: homemade dough fired to order!
Super Friendly and delicious food! I would recommend this place.
This is one of the best Lebanese bakerys I've been too! The owner is so kind and the food is great!
Best beef donair I've ever had. It's my go to spot for a healthy on the go lunch. The people are awesome and quick and always get my order right. I also just stop by to buy some hummus and pita on my way home from work. I'm glad it's in my neighbourhood!
The best in Calgary hands down. Food quality and service is awesome. I've now tried near every shawarma place in the city and Little Lebanon hands down is the best. The large sandwich is a monster, it almost takes 2 people to eat it. Everything is made fresh in house and they actually have authentic style pickles and turnip which you can't find anywhere in town. Always get offered a piece of baklava when I come in. LL is my new favorite and the only place in town to get shawarma in my mind (and I've been everywhere else)!
Delicious! Great service, the pockets ate to die for and the baklava is amazing! One of the best little places in the city!
A favourite. A donair without compare! The meat and cheese pies are fresh and fabulous. The owner always gives samples too. This is my favourite mid eastern fast food place
Much better my second time around. I ordered a large beef donair with all the fixings and the gentleman behind the counter gave me a baklava sample, which was not bad. The donair on the other hand was pretty good! I'll definitely visit again when I'm in the area.
Love this place. One of Calgary's best ethnic food joints. Everything is good. Personal fave-- large beef donair with all the fixings--- eight bucks and worth every penny. Nice family run place. Two thumbs up.
A++++ Great Shawarma Falafell Donair best I've had in Calgary! Very friendly Genuine and caring staff towards their customers! I only wish I lived closer I'd eat here more often :)
Warm Arabic hospitality found here.. Always a warm, friendly, personal greeting from the kind family that operates LL. Some neighbourly chit chat about family and life and the weather ! As a traveler in MEast and NAfrica this is just like being there right down to being packed wih customers of all ages. Shwarma, Oven baked Chicken pockets, fatayr, feta spinach pockets salads, grape leaves, baba ganoush, hummus, kibbie are all very good. Always leave here with a smile and faith in human goodness!
Excellent food. I tried their meat pie and the Zattar and they both were great. Also tried the humus, baba ghanoj, fatoosh and kibbha- all were great. Excellent food with good prices and yes I loved the complementary baklava.
Great Place. The people here are so unbelieveably friendly! The food was done perfectly! As good of shawarma as I've had anywhere! Can't wait to go back!
YUMMMM. This is easily one of my favorite restaurants in all of Calgary. I've tried a lot of different things, but the Chicken Pocket is my favorite. I try to avoid wheat/grains in general, but this is too good to pass up. It's also pretty hard to pass up the complimentary baklava. Soooo good.
The owners/staff are all really friendly and obviously proud of their establishment. This place is a MUST try...
Try the pockets!. Oh my god, the baked calzone-style donair and shawarma pockets are to die for at this little place.
I call it the don-zone.
Excellent!. The service was impeccable. The owner introduced himself and shook our hands and offered us complimentary baklava to begin with which was unreal. I will definitely pick some up the next time I have company.
The shawarmas were tasty and very fresh. We are excited to try the baked pockets next time as well as the fattoush salad. I also find it is very good bang for your buck. We usually go to Shawarma Knight on 14th which is good but much more pricey.
A fun selection of drinks as well.
This is our new staple. A gem.
Friendly, generally a good deal. The staff at this little joint are super-friendly, and the free piece of baklava is a welcome gesture (while made with margarine, not butter, I haven't asked if the margarine has milk ingredients). Their falafel is tasty and reasonably big, but still pales in comparison to the size of the chicken and beef counterparts, which makes me feel a bit ripped off.
Amazing food! I love their baklava and my boyfriend and brother swear they have the best donairs on earth.
Great place for great, fast and healthy food. Had the chicken pocket and tasted great. Excellent service.
Great Dive. It's in a crappy strip mall...zero points for atmosphere...but excellent Lebanese fast food...Cheap!
Always a winner in my books, Little Lebanon is a fantastic little place to go and grab a quick tasty treat. The shawarma's are always a popular pick, but be a bit adventurous and try out the various Fatayr's. Absolutely fantastic! The guy working there, who I suspect must be the owner, is very friendly and is always quick to offer up a complimentary piece of baklava while you wait. Consider Little Lebanon next time you are looking for something delicious to eat.
Awesome Shawarma. Stopped in for lunch and had one of the tastiest chicken shawarma's I have ever eaten. The staff were all super friendly. Plus the owner gave us free baklava. Definitely a hidden gem!
Great food at this place. I like the choice of small, medium and large. Will definitely be going back again soon.
Had a fantastic falafel pita wrap on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The very personable owner provided us a complimentary menu item that he had just baked. Those are the best restaurants, where the owner is proud of what they make and want you to taste. The area around this place has lots of places to eat but this place is one to definitely stop at.
, I may have found the cheapest “meal” in all my road trip journeys. This tasty treat will set you back less than $2, unless you’re really hungry, in which case your bill might balloon to $2.50... dome-shaped samosas. Sixty-nine cents apiece, and I’m guessing they tip the scales at over a third of a pound, obviously not the lightweight triangles you find in many Indian places.
Had mixed meat pocket. It was amazing. Stan was amazing in recommending what to get and put out an awesome meal for us.
Amazing place!!! We ordered the mixed chicken and beef donair pockets and they were very delicious. All the sauces were amazing. Stan made ours and he was very friendly and helpful - He suggested us not adding the lettuce because it would make the whole thing soggy. Can’t wait to bring back family and friends
Great food with great food and amazing chicken pockets.
The only issue is parking and seating but that never stops me from going here from northeast calgary to eat. They have options for everyone and they are willing to work with you to to get what you are looking for.
I recommend this place for great non spicy food.
Little Lebanon is such a great restaurant! Their hummus is amazing! We will definitely be using them again for our next event. Staff friendly and professional. Highly recommend!
