Review Sky 360 - Calgary

Troy Fyhn
Great food and service, but you really pay a premium for the View! I definitely wouldn't pay $46 for the duck again. Also I was disappointed that they only gave me vanilla ice cream for dessert, after spending over $250 for our dinners. At least give a small piece of cheesecake or chocolate tart to enjoy! The lamb and the scallops were delicious, and the birthday card was a nice touch.

Awesome views, nice atmosphere, very good service, food was great. We have a great evening, our waiter was very nice and kind. The prices are quite affordable. We are local and definitely going again. I wish the upper level was free when dining in the restaurant but well, we went up and enjoy the views.

The view is 4 stars; food wise, it's mediocre. For this price, I would expect the food would be more flavorful. We ordered the tower breakfast, sausages were bland and too hard, tastes like sitting there for the entire morning; mushrooms toast, mushrooms were nice and buttery, but the toast was totally charred and tastes burnt, the salad dressing was way too sour, poached eggs were over done. Service side would deserve all the stars. The host was very friendly and inviting.

Absolutely delicious! The waiter we had was great to talk to and great service as well. Zero complaints and highly recommended. Especially if you want a great view of downtown Calgary and enjoy a great experience the city offers.

We are visitors from Toronto. The view is absolutely awesome. We had brunch on Saturday. The food is delicious and the customer service is great! Felt very safe as certain social disancing among tables are maintained. Price is reasonable given the great view and food provided. Highly recommended.

It was a good time thanks to the wonderful view, delicious food, and friendly server. Our server with long curly hair and beautiful smile was good to us. It is really thanks to her. Overall, it was good except for the food being a little salty. However, we went a little early, and an Asian host with long straight hair said we couldn't enter, and when another host came and tried to guide us, but the her blocked it again. Calculating the ticket for the observatory took a long time, so it took a lot of time. In the end, I paid for the ticket and went to the observatory. Her work process took long time and not smart. I came down and sat down. The other hosts tried to guide me, but the Asian host kept blocking me, so I was very annoyed. If there are not enough seats and people are waiting, it is understandable, but I didn't feel good that they didn't guide me even though it wasn't. And her attitude was rude and unpleasant. Need service training. She needs to learn about service mind set.

The food and service were both excellent. It was my first experience here, and didn't really know what to expect. I did not anticipate so many families with children , but now I know where I can bring my niece for a truly special dining experience.

One of the most unique experience in Calgary! I've lived here over 5 years and it was my 1st time visiting this lovely restaurant. .... and... we loved it! The flavours were wonderfully combined in each dish from the appetizers to the mains. Will definitely return.

It was our 18 wedding anniversary. We have been to the Sky 360 numerous times for both business and special occasions. The start of the evening was nice. Great view and ambiance as usual. The server was friendly and great. We ordered the Ribeye (our favorite cut of steak) while my daughter got the chicken fingers. It took roughly an hour for the food, which is fine for upscale dining. The unfortunate thing was that our steaks were both overcooked from what was supposed to be medium rare to a medium well. We asked our server and she said it would take considerable time to prepare another. We were hungry and did not want to wait. The thing that irked me the most was my daughters chicken fingers. They were burnt to a crisp. This was possibly the worst dining experience we have ever had. We will never come back and will never recommend this place again.

Was passing through on a trip out of Alaska. Saw info about it in Edmonton. Seemed a neat stop to see Calgary at a glance. Visited observation deck first. The glass floor view is a trip for the senses! Went to dinner as the daylight went dark. Service was nice. The deck was not crowded. The music was not great for the setting. Had to wait for awhile on drinks. Seemed the server staff was short. Ordered the special and chicken plate. All good food. Some what worth the fancy dinning price. The rotating floor and view was neat. It's a good way to see the city.

I took my wife there for our 4th anniversary. We are from Edmonton and have always enjoyed LaRonde for special occasion so I thought it would be nice to try Calgary’s version...well, it was far from what I expected. First, the lobby is the size of my kitchen. So, when people are coming off the elevator or waiting for it the area is cramped. Second, my reservation was for 815. We arrived at 805 and was told there were a few reservations ahead of us and we would be seated soon. We watched 7 groups get seated before I got a text message from the restaurant saying I needed to call within the next 5 minutes or I would loose the table. I showed the message to the hostess who advised that they must have missed checking us in. Third, the table was a half booth facing the window what was ok. However, they need to was the windows inside a bit more often. They were dirty, streaky and had hand marks all over the place. Forth, the food. Ordered a large Caesar salad to share. It had good flavour but could have done without the crunch of dirt in 3 of the 4 heads of romaine. My wife order the 8oz and I the chicken supreme. Food came out slightly warm. Not hot but eatable. The steak was ordered medium and came out rare. We sent it back to toss on the grill. Second time out it was medium rare. Overall, the entree quality was ok. We addressed all concerns with waitress. Obviously she apologized on behalf of the restaurant. However, being in the food industry it would have been nice if the Chef or Sous made an appearance. We decided dessert was not an option. We got the bill and one of my wife’s glasses of wine was taken off. That’s a bit of an insult where I come from. If you are going to take care of anything you take of the mistake. Don’t try to buy me off with a drink or a dessert. We never asked or expected anything to be looked after. I would not go back.

Great service, friendly staff, but be prepared to pay double for your meal. I ordered the linguini and it was a good 7/10. Boyfriend got steak he said it was a 8/10. The roast chicken meal walked by and it looked huge! That's probably the best for the bucks. Now for desert, we hit the white chocolate cheesecake with hazelnut... 10/10! There could have been more but I'm also being greedy. Oh and it was upside down! It takes about an hour to go around a full circle so go around 830 for sunset! Or go to the observation deck and watch it.

Probably the worst dining experience I have ever had. The waitress was extremely rude and unprofessional, arguing with us about the amount we needed to spend in order to cover the lift cost (yeah, we got it!) to having a full out spat with the kitchen staff right in front of customers. The food, what a disappointment. Over cooked meats, bland or no flavour at all and less than par product. The restaurant is a rip off. Spend the money to go up to the view point of the tower but I wouldn't recommend spending a dime at sky 360, not even for a drink.

Very nice! The view was great... the Alberta beef hand held was delicious and the carrot cake to top it off! We celebrated our family with 15 ... service was great by our gentleman! Thank you!!!

The views are beautiful but the food below average. The chef likes his/ her deep frier! Meat overcooked with odd spices. Better just to pay for the lift and skip the restaurant all-together.

We had a wonderful dinner. Food was excellent. Service was top of the line. My only complaint was my Long Island iced tea was pretty weak. Everything else was amazing!!!

What a memorable way to see Calgary!! We decided to book dinner for 7.30pm so we had a chance of seeing the sun setting as we revolved & ate. We weren't disappointed! The staff couldn't have been more friendly & the food was amazing!!! (Yes its expensive, but you're paying for the experience & know this in advance). As our dessert arrived the skyline was lighting up & the views were spectacular. Nick our host was lots of fun & made sure nothing was too much hassle. Definitely a must & worth every $$

Food is amazing and staff are super friendly. The steak was the best I've ever had.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed as this was for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and the mashed potatoes were dry, the roast pork was supposed to have a crusty top and didn't, my husband's steak was very red inside and he ordered medium well done. Will not go back even if we could see Calgary from do far up.

Lovely place with excelent food and great display of the town. I really loved. And I am so sorry that I laughed so loud. It's Marcel's fault :D

We were with a group of over 40 people from Texas. Atmosphere was an A+. The views of Calgary were fantastic. Service was very friendly. Food was good but not spectacular. Presentation of their chicken dish made me wish I had gotten it instead of the salmon. This was a special treat and ending to our last night in Canada.

Our server was awesome. Really friendly and knowledgable. Food came out super quick which was unexpected. The rib eye was good but really fatty and not very filling. Wine was pretty good. The views are awesome and the setting is really nice.
