Service was friendly and welcoming, the lady serving us helped us in choosing the right dishes. One star less as I found the meat quantity in the noodle soup dish to be less. Also, in other Vietnamese restaurants they add some veggies like sprouts, mushrooms, tofu etc. to the soup as well, here there were absolutely no veggies.
We asked for spicy, but didn't find it spicy enough to meet our expectation. But overall experience was good, food was tasty and the place was clean and hygienic.
p.s - they have the prettiest fish tank!

Brought my 2 sons and husband here for a late dinner. Appreciate very much this rare Vietnamese restaurant that does not close at 7:30pm or 8pm. My husband and I both ordered a fried noodle dish with beef and veggies. The boys ordered a mix platter with vermicelli noodles and a lemon grass beef stir fry with coconut fried rice. I had a sample of all the dishes. The food tastes homemade. It's good! The service was friendly and attentive. Would we return. Yes.

Very good food and service. Atmosphere and decor is a little grimey and outdated, but I guess that's part of its charm? Had the sate beef Pho, House Salad Rolls and fried meatball things.

So i have heard the raves about this place. I was finally down here in the south and just wow. I ordered Pho ga and forgot to say no cilantro. No biggie i was just picking it out. Obviously it was my fault. Low and behold she grabs my bowl and said no worries and got me a new bowl..... like holy cow, she didn't have to do that and she did. The service was amazing! And to boot, probably the best soup i've had in the city! Ill be coming back forsure!

This is great family run establishment. They are always friendly with very fast service. The dishes are fantastic and they are understanding and attentive if you want something a bit different than what you see on the menu. The cooking is excellent, make sure you try it soon! You can add Vietnamese coffee (iced or not) or bubble tea (try the mango) to your order for an extra burst of flavor! I also like to start with spring rolls or salad rolls. If you don't want shrimp salad rolls ask for beef ones - they're yummy!

After a long and eventful day, coming to Bolsa for dinner to end the day off was a great experience. The waitress did a great job of coming by to check up on how we are doing or if our beverages needed to be refilled.
As we were looking through our menus, I hear this loud sizzling sound coming from the kitchen and looking over to see what it is. It's a dish that involves a hot skillet and that dish was popping, literally and figuratively. I was thinking of getting those hot plate dishes but I was really craving pho. So knowing me, I would go online and look at the pictures of the dishes and there was this one red pho bowl. I knew it was going to be spicy but the red colour kept drawing my eyes.
I posted a picture of what I got, #10 Satay Medium Rare Beef (spicy). The waitress told me that it had multiple spicy levels from mild to spicy and I told her "give me the maximum spice level". I kid you not but when I tried the soup, the spice instantly hit the back of my throat and I was quietly coughing up a storm. I didn't want anyone to think I had covid or something so I was trying to hold in my coughs as much as I could. After a couple bites, the spice subsided and it was really manageable. The dish was good, tasty and makes you feel warm inside.
The female owner came by and was just a great presence to have. We chatted and laughed. Overall this place was a good vibe. I'd definitely come back again to try more dishes on the menu, maybe one of those hot skillet plates.

Great restaurant great food and beverages. Mama the cook is the best. She takes care of all her customers with compassion and her cooking is phenomenal and delicious. It comes from her heart. We ordered Shanghai noodles with beef and vegetables which was cooked perfectly. And we had rice and chicken and vegetables! 😋 So yummy!!! We will be back again here.....they are a wonderful family with wonderful food! Our experience here is beyond what we expected. Highly recommend this place to anyone!!!!! 👌👌👌👌

Mine and my husband's go to restaurant when we are in the south of the city. The service is always welcoming and friendly. The food is always so delicious and satisfying, the portions are great too. I am so sad that we live outside of the order/delivery zone because I am sure we would eat Bolsa so much more often if we did. We are already planning our next visit.
