One word. Outstanding.
Firstly, it was my first time coming to Joey's and it was probably one of the best restaurants I have ate at since I've been living out West. From the food, to the service. I had the filet mignon and I would never even consider having a steak unless it was at The Keg, and by far it topped that without even a question.
The service was unbelievable. We came in on a Friday night and of course it was busy, so we were put on a short waiting list (10 short minutes). The host directed us to the bar and the service at the bar was unreal. The bartender had came up to us numerous times ensuring our drinks were not empty as she was running around non stop.. never forgot about us!
We got to our table and our server was obviously amazing, she was very knowledgable on the menu and gave me the best suggestions. Half way through our meal the Manager (Lindsay, or Lauren, I forget unfortunately) checked in to see if our food was good and even sparked a convo with us. You never see that these days. We were even greeted by other servers while at dinner with a casual hello and how are you. I never ever experienced this type of service where I had left the restaurant thinking about how great my night was and how great the servers made me and my partner feel.
I will most definitely be back, a big cheers to the manager for being so organized, professional and friendly. She definitely recruited a great team, she must be doing something right!

I was here last weekend and it was AMAZING. Our server was on top of everything and took extra care to ensure we had everything what we needed, including recommendations based on my food allergy. The management was lovely and came at the end of our meal to ensure everything was up to our expectations and I got to tell him it surpassed our expectations! We had hummus, sushi, and butter chicken and it was fast and DELICIOUS

We were a party of four, and arrived to a pretty packed house! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, (loud but busy) and the service was great! The drink servers are very attentive, and our food server apologized for the wait, which was no biggy! We had a variety of different things and they were all super! Try the super stoked jack and coke, it's awesome! Can't wait to go back the next time I'm in Calgary!

Exceptional service!! From the hostesses to our waitress. The flow of service never stopped. Never had to ask for anything and there was no wait for food once it was ordered. The food was amazing, tasty and drag!
Great spot with delicious food and very courteous staff. Always busy, expect a wait in the lounge or just order dinner there. Burgers are A1 are steaks and sushi.�
We had excellent service from our server Paige. � Would definitely ask to be seated in her section again! Our menu choices were just as we ordered! Would return to this location on another visit to Calgary.
Great customer service, very friendly. Great tasting calamari :-) They got my order wrong but they took care of it as soon as possible. It was actually very impressive how fast my order came through. Thanks!

After a much needed trip to the nearby spa, my friend C and I went for lunch at Joey Crowfoot. I wasn’t super hungry because I had quite a bit of leftover sushi from Sushi Ai for breakfast, but when C asked if we should share an appy I couldn’t turn her down. We shared the lettuce wraps for $15.75 (you could add chicken or shrimp for an extra $2.50 but we kept them veggie). You place the mixture of wok vegetables, peanuts, crispy noodles, hoisin oyster sauce and cilantro into a leaf of iceberg lettuce and try not to make a huge mess when you shove it into your mouth. These wraps were super tasty and could make a light lunch for one person (or maybe a more complete meal with a serving of french fries!). I would get the wraps again for sure (but maybe not on a first date).
I’ve always been a big fan of Joey’s Barlow, and Joey’s Crowfoot does not disappoint. The staff is friendly, quick and attentive. I enjoy the ambiance and the fireplace at the entrance. Sometimes the food is hit and miss at this location. Once there was a hair in my pasta, which utterly ruined my appetite. Most times the food is right on point though! My usual go to’s are the baja fish tacos, fully loaded crispy mash, wings, the flatbreads, mini sliders, and the chilli chicken. Tonight I decided to explore a different dish, the spaghetti pomodoro. After adding some chili flakes, a little Valentina hot sauce and some Parmesan flakes, it elevated the dish and tasted great.
Love Joey crowfoot! Excellent service And top notch meals. Lobster ravioli is a favourite and a side of crispy mashed potatoes is a must have! (I was pregnant at the time- so it was a necessity, lol.)
Never a bad experience at Joey crowfoot.
This joey’s location was a hit for us. Our server was friendly, prompt and knowledgeable about the menu. Our food came out fairly quickly and everything was delicious. Our server was very kind and accommodating for our infant niece who was dining with us too.
I honestly prefer Joey Tomato’s to Earls, their menu (to me anyways) is more exciting. Today the theme was tuna! We ordered the tuna tacos, and a tuna sandwich. The tuna in the tacos was a nice rare (sashimi-like) consistency, with crunchy warm fried tacos and black sesame seasoning and was made even better as they were on special. The sandwich was a bit overdone for my preference (my fault as I should have asked for rare), but still excellent flavours overall. A great place to dress up for a date night out.
Excellent service and delicious food & drinks! Service is always a 5/5 been going to this location for years now and no complaints! And the wait is always stress free.
Not the biggest fan of huge franchises in general, i usually like the spontaneity and creative character of independent restaurants that dont have to jump at the whim of head office, or by the many prepacked water pumped products that so many of them use so that head office may enjoy the rebates and kick backs that go to HO rather than the operator, in any event,Joey does a fairly decent job at putting out concistant products and using some fresh ingredients,I find myself in these types of places maybe more often than I would like....but at this last visit the food ,service and atmosphere was good , certainly not cheap but still okay and you can be in and out in an hour usually if you want to,overall its concistant and not bad.

Always really good. I would recommend the lobster grilled cheese and calamari fritti. They also have some amazing desserts. This is my go to place if I want to have a nice dinner with friends or family!
One of our regular go-to places. Food is always tasty and prompt, service always good. You can't go wrong coming here.
Best service we've ever received. My husband and I went for dinner tonight and it was busy. We sat at the bar while waiting for a table. Although it was very busy (even at the bar) the bartender took the time to ask us about our day and seemed genuinely interested. We were told a 30 minute wait but it was more like 20. The lady who sat us waited for us to pay the bar tab and asked if we did anything fun today and also seemed genuinely interested. Our server Kevin was the best server we've ever had!!! He introduced himself, shook our hands, we introduced ourselves and he he called us by name the entire time. The food was fast, hot and delicious. My husbands order came out not as he requested and Kevin brought it back. A manager came by to apologize within minutes. My husband wasn't upset at all and they handled it perfectly. I think other restaurants should take lessons on providing great customer service from this restaurant.

Consistently Good.. My girlfriend and I eat 1000+ calories each and spend a bit too much at JOEY a little too frequently. But there's a reason for that. The food is consistently decent, and not tooooooo overpriced. We love the tandoori chicken flatbread, and their white-people-sushi (dynamite role) is pretty darn good. As a burger aficionado, I really appreciate their bacon cheeseburger. The steak is good for non-fine dining. I'd say maybe just a tad below steak from The Keg, but a tad cheaper too. And the sides (deep fried mashed potatoes!) beat The Keg's boring/bland everything-that-isn't-steak every day.
I used to LOVE the panang prawn curry bowl, but they changed the recipe to save costs. The sauce is the same and still great, but the veggies and prawns are worse. They got rid of the fennel?! Why?? That was an awesome addition. Ah well, I'll just stick with the steaks and burgers. The skinny fries are the only fries anywhere that compare to McDonalds (you all know what I'm talking about; don't pretend like McD's doesn't make the best fries ever).
My girlfriend likes the butter chicken, though I wouldn't go to JOEY for that specifically. If you want Indian food, order take-out from the unfriendly but talented people at Masala Express in Ranchlands.
The service is inconsistent. They hire based on attractiveness instead of talent, and it shows from time to time. They also always try and sit us in a table, but are very accomodating when I request a booth instead. The music can be a tad loud at times. The one or two times that the food or service has been straight-up bad has elicited an immediate apology from the manager or supervisor on site, and much of the meal is comped. Overall a thumbs up.
Mix reviews, but like it over all. Hello, I have visited this spot for years and finally have decided to join urbanspoon because our waiter over at Tony roma's suggested we join and post reviews about restaurants we liked or dislike, but he was very positive. Overall, I am female and I enjoy coming here for the ambience, and food. But I have to say this place has a lot of beautiful looking people. and my husband has to learn to keep his eyes focused. Great food, service was on par, not greatest but good.
This is my second time here this month and I have been impressed by the quality of the main dishes. I am wowed. The panang curry was tasty. The shrimp linguini was very aromatic with thin noodles that I like. The molten lava cake was perfectly done. Both waiters I've had were friendly and helpful.
Come back!. Absolutely love Joey Crowfoot! I just wish they would bring back the Market Chicken Salad! it was my favourite! Tired the Salad 500, and was sadly disappointed! tasted like something out of a health food market deli. Bring it back!!!!
I love Joey's. I love this place but they need more gluten-free vegetarian options! I wish I could order the things I used to love before I found out I had the allergy. Now all I can really eat is salad and although it's really good, salad all the time is so boring. So as a result, instead of going every week we now go every few months or so. Lettuce wraps could be made with rice noodles, "Chicken" Souvlaki could use gluten-free bread, Butter "Chicken" could skip the flour thickener. Please add more GF options I love the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere!
Nice atmosphere. Okay to the last posting, I like joey's not only for the food, but the eye candy, hey you have to admit this is not more for dining but hey nice looking girls are always a plus. If I am going out I do prefer a place where nice people in every way not to sound flaky but be realistic, this is marketed towards a different type of crowd, so look how busy it is all the time, so that pretty well says it all. Good food but okay service. I'm always a big fan of the food served at Joey Tomatoes. However i'm beginning to be a little unimpressed with the attire of the servers. Of course there is plenty of eye candy around the restaurant but I feel like the manager puts more focus on how the staff looks than the food. Of course the staff should look presentable, but i certainly don't want to be served by some hoochie. The girls need to show less skin and keep it a bit more classy. It's understandable that Joey's has a reputation of a very great looking team, but looks only go so far. Otherwise, I usually do have a great experience with everything else. I always love the flatbreads!
Enjoyed. Great food, great staff! a bit pricey but you do get what you pay for.
First Time!. Last night was my first time at Joeys, we had a work dinner. Very relaxing atmosphere, our server Chris was awesome! I had the steak and crispy mashed potatoes...best Ive ever had in a resteraunt. So delicous, everyone at our 12person dinner loved their food, especially the Bellinis, thumbs up to the servers, bar and kitchen!
Great Tuna!. Service was amazing for a Tuesday, the waiter was very enthusiastic and didn't hate his life. The seared tuna is probably the best item on the menu, highly recommended if you're a fan of fish.
Good food and good service. Except for that one time but they comped a meal for me so I'm not complaining.
Mmm. I had the steak for the first time last night, and it was delicious! I normally order rainbow rolls and those are delicious too but decided to switch it up last night. Also had the dumplings for an appetizer, SO GOOD!

Great Service. We had lunch here on a Saturday. I have been to Joey Chinook and Eau Claire before and I have found that the food is usually quite good but the service can be inconsistent. We sat in the lounge and ordered drinks, appetizers and entrees. We happily chatted away sipping our drinks and were starving and waiting for our appies, and then the manager came by. He said he was very sorry about how long our appetizers were taking and that the food simply wasn't up to par so he had the kitchen re-fire the food. It would be out shortly and he was going to take it off our bill due to the wait. Wow! We had been wondering where the food was but to have him come by without us even having to ask that was awesome! And then to take it off the bill and we didn't even complain! Now that's customer service. We were so pleased by the way he handled it. Our waitress was great too, prompt and knew the menu very well. When we did receive our appies (mushroom soup and goyza) they were delicious. The only complaint we had was that my bf didn't like his ahi tuna burger entree. He felt the red pepper relish and bacon were too overpowering and the tuna had an unfortunate smoky flavor he didn't like. I had a cesar salad with cajun chicken. Cesar salad is one of my faves and I love the Joey one. The cajun chicken was charbroiled and had a great flavor to it, super tender and delicious. We would definitely come back to this Joey as the service was really great!
They take care of you well. Best service ever, with one problem they fix it and make me a happier customer. 10/10 for everything. I always come back here for my late night snacks and drinks
Food is always good , but very inconsistent with Portions and service have to say is that everytime I come here I don't get the same results but good food
Perfect night. My friend & I stopped by the bar for what we planned on only being a glass of wine. The bartender was so amazing we ended up staying most of the evening.
We shared both the:
Fish Tacos - super tasty & fresh, he had the kitchen grill rather then deep fry the seafood.
Blackened Basa - cooked in more oil then I would have liked but moist & flaky, not too much coating & the salsa served with it was delicious!
My fav thing was the blueberry mojitos.
Good bar service. I have sat in the bar area several times and ordered appetizers and other food. Friendly service, attentive staff, quick service, nice atmosphere. The floor to ceiling wine cellar behind glass is pretty amazing.
Food is very good. Staff is friendly and the ladies are always full of talent and ability. Love Joey's casting couch approach to hiring. Too bad it is so good because it makes it hard to get a table as it is usually very busy.
Pretty good stuff. Being vegetarians, the waiters and waitresses were very nice and patiently told us what we could have for substitude, and the kitchen eventually came out with something delicious. we had alfredo sauce on fettuccini with "chicken" strips. their veg meat tasts more natural; less processed, less additives.
Great Customer Service. I love their menu my husband is Vegetarian and I can eat fish and this is one place we can dine together have healthy food and enjoy.
This restaurant has always accomodated our request to adjust things ie less salt, no extra added fats .
Whenever we have had a mix up the manager has handled it with class.
I have been here numerous times and the food has always been fantastic, however the service is never that great, but the waiters and waitresses are always very friendly and helpful. Only disadvantage is bringing a girl there, as there are many beautiful waiteresses and hostesses that intimidate many women haha (just had to squeeze that in because it's completely true and Ive witnessed the effect they have first hand) great food and atmosphere, a great place to eat some higher priced food.
Not bad at all. A clean and modern environment inside that really has nothing to complain about. Food was good but nothing special or particularly amazing about it. The service was friendly enough, but always seemed rushed. Oh and if you plan on dining during rush hour, get prepared for a long wait for your food.
Hands down one of the best restaurants. Not once have I had a bad experience there. The wAiters are always so bubbly and friendly! Would recommend this any day!!!!!
There isn't anything 'special' about this place but they never disappoint me, Food is always good and service is just great. Maybe im lucky, but i haven't yet met a unfriendly/rude server here.
Very Consistent. Thats what I want when going to an eatery. Food doesnt have to be amazing but if I know what the expect everytime I go there, then thats a good thing. Speaking of consistency, it seems as though I order the Lunch Chicken every single time. Cant go wrong with that one. The scenery isnt bad either.
Safe Choice. Classic chain restaurant food and a staff to match. But none the less it's consistent. A safe option if a group can't agree on a spot.
Night at the game. Came here for the game last night for drinks and dinner -- waitress was extremely attentive, despite the long wait before sitting down. My all time favourite appeitzer from Joey's (ahi tuna tacos) were made perfectly, and the ramen bowl with chicken was really filling with a tasty broth. Apple pie and Monte Cristo coffee topped off an excellent meal.
The result of the game aside, a good meal and good service -- on par with Chinook, if not slightly ahead!
Very Good - Consistent - Great Patio. First place we ate when we finally bought our house here 14 years ago & we still go there. Phenomenal customer service! The staff really mixes with the customers well. The ladies are classy, friendly, and focus on good customer service and repore. Food is very good & consistent. In summer, one of the best patio seating & location. But if its a nice day in summer and peak hour, you may have to wait awhile. Go there once just to observe what customer service really is !
Great food, drinks & atmosphere. Service sucks! :( waitress forgot our starter & never came back to offer us another round of drinks until we had piled our empty plates at the end of the table.

Joeys Crowfoot was a really cozy and trendy place we got to go. The service was great and the staff were really friendly and knowledgeable. The food we ordered, it was really good – there wasn’t anything to complain about, so we like it!
