Review Pad Thai Thai Noodles & Cuisine - Calgary

I loved how much veg is in each dish!!! Usually thai food places seem to only put 3 ingredients in each dish but all of our dishes were jam packed with flavour variety. Everything tasted great and had good presentation and service. All was reasonably priced but the ambiance made it feel like I was in a more expensive place, in a good way.

Finding somewhere with lots of gluten free options can be difficult, but there are lots of options here! I had the chicken salad rolls and a chicken pad Thai. They are very knowledgeable about Celiac Disease and I felt comfortable eating here (which doesn’t happen often due to cross contact risk). I will definitely be back to try some other items from the menu.

Every food taste good. For me this is the best Thai Restaurant in Calgary for now. I love Thai Food, so I go try a lot, but anywhere just make me feel disappointed except this one. Who love Thai Food just come here. 👍👍👍

Came here on recommendation of a local friend but was disappointed in portion and quality. If it matters, this is via direct call in, not Uber/Door dash as we prefer to give money directly to the restaurant. Total bill came to just over $40 and the take out boxes were literally the same depth as a 0.8oz body lotion tube, the kind you get in Sephora sample kits. The hand in photo is small size. Two dishes pictured are sweet and sour pork and pad thai. Flavor wise Pad thai: 3/5 decent in authenticity, better than Thai Express but that's about it. Sweet and sour pork: 1/5 loaded with zucchini and carrots, very watery, and feels more like entry level home cook. Highly disappointed in this one. $20 for a pork dish but the volume was mostly made up with.... zucchini?

Had dinner at Pad Thai after reading good reviews online. It was amazing! Cute little restaurant in a residential area in a strip center. Indoor decor is pretty. Nice vibes. Great service. Every dish was delicious and we would come back again if we ever visit Calgary again. Drunken Prawns - shrimp with eggplant Pad Thai with chicken tofu and shrimp Chu chi basa - battered fish with curry sauce

My new favorite place. The cashew chicken was amazing and the yellow curry chicken delish. The food was incredible, the service was excellent. You can control the amount of heat you want in the dish of you're not comfortable with spice. I'm more of a melt-your-face kinda spicy but my friend is opposite so we went very mild and it was still delicious. Highly recommend this place. Worth the drive from the deep SE.

Didn't get the experience of dining in but based on takeout only. This pad Thai spot creates a wonderful atmosphere inside. It does boast reputation it has received by many media channels (as seen on storefront banner and also inside with article clippings). One of the sisters/owner here used to be a chef at tuk tuk Thai for background. First thing I noticed was that the cost seemed relatively higher than tuk tuk (although it's not necessarily fair to also compare to a chain-ish spot) but pricing ranged from $16-22 (average meal cost being more around $16/17). The portion sizes aren't too big hence cost to portion was slightly off I feel. Incorporate quality though- good quality - not too oily for the curry and pad Thai was more on the dry style than oversauced (which is good!). The flavour was captured with the pad Thai with 4 pieces of juicy shrimp but seemed light on the other toppings/sides (carrots, lettuce..) The red curry with beef - few beef chunks and more on potatoes. If you want quality and homecook, this is more of the spot. If you fair for quantity and cheaper, elsewhere may be better.

Not sure how they got 4.5 stars but this place is barely two stars. We got take out last night and we’re very disappointed. The papaya salad was supposed to include green beans but ours had none. We also got a chicken pad Thai and a red curry with beef. I read one of their responses that Thai dishes are a balance of meat and veggies but there was no balance. I literally counted the pieces of beef in the curry and there was only 4. They weren’t even big. How we, there was an abundance of bamboo shoots which you got like 4 of in each bite. Not good. Last all, the pad Thai had decent flavour but again, lack of chicken. Overall a disappoint experience and not worth the prices they charge. I understand the inflation piece and restaurants are struggling but if you are going to charge $20 for a bowl of curry, I would hope there is more than 4 pieces of meat.

Such a great experience! From the food to the decor, it was such an enjoyable time. The chef even made sure to visit our table to ensure the meal met our expectations. I have been to the best restaurants in Calgary and not one of them had service like Pad Thai. Thank you Pat and Boom, we will most certainly be back......many, many times!

We went to Pad Thai over mother's Day weekend. Their food is fantastic, especially their bang bang shrimp, tom yum soup and red curry. But the portions weren't all that great and it was pretty pricy.

Very fresh and always hits the spot. We have ordered from there 5 times and can’t beat it.
The peanut sauce is amazing and the staff are super friendly

Really a great little restaurant located in mount pleasant. I’ve driven past a bunch of times and finally decided to come in. The service was a bit lacking because the restaurant was short a server but this was quickly remedied once a replacement staff showed up. The food was beautifully presented and full of delicious Thai flavours. I can’t wait to try more items!

Best chicken wings ever! Crispy without being oily. The PadThai dish is also fresh and yummy. Food is very authentic and the decor is lovely. The owner goes back to Thailand often to get her spices and to get inspired for new dishes. This is a gem for sure!

We ate there thinking it might be okay. It wasn’t okay, it was really, really great!
Tom Yom was delicious. In fact we ordered 5 dishes and they all were great. Our server was fun, happy and joked with us. We will certainly be back.

This is a great restaurant with really good service. The family who runs this restaurant are really funny and charming. My favourite dish is the drunken prawns with the fried basil and chilis. I also really enjoy the money bag dumplings, pad sew yew and the basa with red pepper and spinach. I have been trying to go about once a month since I discovered it last summer. This is the best Thai food I've had in Calgary.

Pretty solid Thai food loved the green papaya salad and the drunken noodles. The papaya salad has some heat to it with that funky Thai flavour. The drunken noodles we're also delicious noodles were cooked perfectly with a great flavour.

I was looking forward to try this place after I read the food review article by John Gilchrist. So my friends and I decided to give it a try after work on a Saturday. My friend and I both ordered the chicken green curry and my other friend ordered the veggie Pad Thai. The service was nice and friendly but the portions for all of the dishes were small and some of the basil tasted funny. At the end, none of us were full and satisfied. We all left disappointed and would rather spend the money elsewhere.

A nice Thai restaurant in mt.pleasant, this place looked familiar as it use to be a sushi restaurant I have been to before. There is a small parking lot in front of the restaurant as well as some street parking. I was able to call and make a reservation which was nice cuz the place filled up quick. Everyone decided on an appetizer to start. We got papaya salad, pin wheel, crispy wonton and money bags. I got the salad and the shreds of papaya was fresh and crunchy with each bite and the sweet and tangy fish sauce and Chilis was a nice balance and has pieces of sliced cooked shrimp which was really good. The money bags tasted like regular Chinese wontons to me, some girls thought the pin wheel tasted better. The crispy wontons looked really simple and something I could make at home so I wouldn't waste my money on it. Two girls got the pad se ew and they mentioned it was super yummy and finished their dish quickly. I got the pineapple fish which was nicely battered Basa filets fired up and tossed in this sweet and sour sauce with pineapples and green onions, I got a side of coconut rice and it was scrumptious. I had leftover that I packed up for lunch the next day. Service was good but I think they got a bit busy and forgot one of the appetizers after the other three already came out and we had to ask for it. Overall I quite liked this place and would totally go back.

Everything I've had here has been tasty, one of the best tom yum soups I've ever had. The panang curry and massaman curry are very good. There pineapple sweet chilli sauce is to die for. Over fried basa it's truly a really good dish. I've also had the pad see ew there, it was odd. Some bites were bland and some bites were exploding with flavour. This place is up there with my other Thai favourites in town , white elephant and jurees.

This place is the real deal!!
Best Pad Thai I've had in Calgary.
The server was great and the noodles came out piping hot. My meal was amazing.
Ill be back.

We just stopped in on our way by, not sure what to expect based on the outside but we were very happy! The decor inside is classy and has wonderful Thai accents. We ordered the tom yum soup, green papaya salad and pad thai. This was the best Thai meal we've had since our trip to Thailand.

We drove by this new Thai restaurant and we decided to give it a try. We walked in and we were greeted by our server and seated with waters. We ordered the Crispy wontons and tom yum to start. The wontons arrived after 15 mins and to our disappointment it was soggy when we bit into it. It felt like it was reheated or not fully cooked through. I had a sip of my husband's tom yum and it was alright but nothing out of the ordinary.

We ordered 2 main dishes and they both continued to disappoint. The noodles in the pad thai were over cooked and broke apart in our chopsticks. The green curry felt watered down and it didn't have the amazing flavours curry should have. Not to mention the rice was $3.50 per person! So expensive!

Overall this was a huge disappointment and I will not be revisiting this restaurant. I would much rather go to White Elephant.
