I would like to extend a massive thankyou to everyone working at your establishment. Not only were your staff extreamly helpful in a bad situation but they even delivered my food to me at my hotel after you closed up for the night just to make sure id be able to get something to eat. They took time out of thier own night off the clock in thier own vehicle all just to make sure id be able to get some dinner when i couldnt get out myself to get it and when a delivery company made some big mistakes and refused to do the job that not only i pay for but so does your reaturant to help your customers get your absolutely amazing food. Honestly it was probably the best food ive ever had in my life. I also have celiacs disease and your staff was amazing about making sure id be ok with the food. Normally food thats gluten free from a resturant that does not have a lot of options for gluten free the food is very bland and boring. Not your place in any way shape or form i may not be able to eat everything you make but what i can have is so amazingly delicious. Thank you so very much for the kindness and consideration your staff provided tonight. They went out of thier way for me and well above and beyond for me and ill never forget it. The food here is amazing and so are the people. I cant thank you enough and cant recommend your resturant enough. Absoult best place in all of calgary.
Ive wanted to try this place for ages, so tonight was the night. Service was excellent, despite being very busy. We did not have a reservation, and they were able to accommodate us without too much fuss. The food was hot, fresh and so delicious. I had chicken and yucca frita. The red sauce was spicy enough for me to say it was hot, that's spicy. Others had curry, the nightly special, and they thoroughly enjoyed it. We washed it all down with a jug of Pisco Sours made to perfection! So good! 2 unisex bathrooms, one accessible
Just had lunch with a friend there today... outstanding service, the chicken literally melts in your mouth, everything is fresh, and super tasty. Family owned and fun with amazing aromas abounding from the kitchen... Definitely one of Calgary's hidden gems.
First time ordering from Pio Peru. Got it through Skip The Dishes... It was delicious! The chicken was moist with flavourful seasoning, the sides were fantastic, especially the vegetables, and the shortbread desert was awesome. Will most definitely add this to my list of favourite restaurants.
We came across this place, and it is absolutely amazing!! The food is sooo flavorful, the desserts are delicious, and the staff are awesome and very helpful. We have been back again since our first visit and we look forward to our next visit even when we come all the way from Okotoks ��

Eaten here a couple times. Food is very delicious and very authentic. The staff is very friendly and they have anyone parking.
We visited this restaurant on our vacation to Calgary. Didn't know about that restaurant before. It's amazing restaurants with amazing food and very friendly service. A must go!

Best chicken I've ever had in my whole life ever in my whole life
A fun place serving authentic Peruvian food. Was in the mood for some noodles and beef and it was fresh and hot with a little spice to it. Takeout was packaged well with space for steam to escape and included utensils. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu next time. Owner operators were friendly and interacted with their customers warmly and welcoming.
One of the best Latin food that I ever have tried in Canada. I highly recommend. Staff is so friendly and spot is very cozy.
A taste of home!!
In my town there is no way to properly reproduce the delicious flavors of Peru - it was such a delightful treat to find Pio and finally get to eat "real" Peruvian food!
The Ceviche was delicious and reminded me of beach days at Pimentel. The Lomo was perfect!
Most of all, the service was so friendly and warm - it was as though we were back in Peru!
For anyone looking for a taste of home, they must come visit!! For anyone else who is looking to try authentic local cuisine, then this is your place! There will be a little something for everyone!!
Lived in Calgary a short time now and have had a few places. The quality, quantity and flavour of this food is perfect. I enjoyed every single dish from the yellow rice to the beans. I ordered quite a bit of food for my family so we could try an assortment of items. I don't regret ordering any of it. Salad was also fresh and colourful. Will be back 100%. Keep up the great work!
I have to say that this food is amazing. The lomo saltado has a perfect size and outstanding taste. The Jalea Real is very good also but I think it is a little bit small for the price. The ceviche is one of the best I have tried. All ingredients are fresh and the flavours are so incredible. I give them five stars because the flavours made me want to go back.
The food here is fantastic.
Every bite is savoury and leaves you wanting more.
It gets a four star because i have never found the dining experience particularly comfortable but the staff are polite and helpful.

The best Peruvian meal in Calgary! Must place to visit, family friendly, great ceviches, tres leches and their margaritas are amazing!

The food is so tasty and I quite liked that you could pick up to two different sauces, out of five, for taste and heat level. The cassava fries were amazing!
