On a busy Sunday morning we were happy with the system that this bustling cafe has in place. You order your food with your party before you get a table. It kept the line moving fast and it is great that an order at the counter restaurant ensures you have a table when you place your order. The food was delicious as always.
Amazing food and the staff were so wonderful. I had to make a food substitution and called myself the "Avoweirdo". The kitchen staff/chefs did this with no questions and everyone had a good chuckle. Just lovely!
Love this place. Have been many times, always bring friends and family here to introduce them to this gem. I also always get a pasty or loaf of bread to take home with me. Super yummy food, supper friendly staff and a cute atmosphere. The only 2 problems I have is it is EXTREMELY busy as well as the eggs benny sits on a piece of bread that is hard to cut through. Would recommend the breakfast poutine with an egg on top, all their macaroons, their lasagna, and going during off hours!
Hit this spot with a friend. A couple blocks off the beaten path, but when you see a lineup, that’s a clue you found a good coffee shop.
Great eclectic atmosphere, friendly staff and a topnotch cappuccino and chocolate chip-banana muffin to boot.
The kind of place my wife and I would try to find when on holidays ... and here it is in my hometown!
This is a nice spot for breakfast has a decent amount of seating and a modern menu. Me and my wife tried the mushroom Benedict and the duck confit waffles. The mushroom Benedict was delicious lots of mushrooms the egg was cooked perfectly. The waffles were amazing the sweetness of the waffles with the savoury duck confit covered in a grainy mustard vinaigrette all worked perfectly together this is one of my new favourite things to eat.
One of the best coffee and breakfast in town. The presentation in the plate was beautiful and the food awesome. I would recommend this place highly!
Adorable, sunny cafe with tasty, European-inspired fare. Vendome is incredibly cosy, making you feel like you could spend hours sipping coffee and gazing out the large windows that fill the cafe with natural light. The avocado toast ($9) is really, really good: a perfectly toasted slice of thickly cut bread, topped with a generous portion of avocado and arugula, and drizzled with a little olive oil and cayenne. Delicious! Definitely stop by Vendome if you haven't already!
Cute cafe with decent selection of pastries and drinks.
The duck confit panini I had was a bit dry, but flavours were good. Really enjoyed the ambience.
Nice neighbourhood cafe for some great coffee and matcha latte. They're always busy!! The food is fantastic and I love the option for half or full sized order.
I've been here once for brunch and got the sunny side eggs with bacon and potato hash. It was pretty yummy and not too expensive. My friend and I had to parallel park pretty far and walk though which was the only downside. But it was worth it.
A nice decorated cafe with outside terrace . I enjoyed waffle the other day and then I brought my husband back here for brunch. Benedict was quite good but potato hash tastes like they were cold but reheated or maybe just over cooked as the edge was a bit hard. I talked to the waitress, she said they were just like that...I will be back again though. Let's see!
My first experience at Vendome was a good one! We came for brunch; at 10am on a Sunday it was relatively quiet with plenty of tables to choose from. Their system is efficient - you must order first as you enter and seat yourself after ordering. Food came out quick and staff was friendly.... except for the girl at the till, she seemed miserable.
I got the croque monsieur. I'm pretty much obsessed with croque monsieur/madame, and ate dozens while I was in France. Suffice it to say that I know a good croque monsieur when I see one. Vendome's was just okay; it didn't have nearly enough béchamel. It was more of a ham sandwich. I also got a soup - cream of cauliflower. It was very tasty. My fiancé got the sweet waffles which were fantastic! The mascarpone whipped cream was heavenly! Portions are filling, prices are decent, space and surrounding neighbourhood is nice. Coffee was very good too. I'm excited to go back.... I want to try their bennies, they looked delicious.
Really loved this brunch place! My eggs Benedict was amazing. The morning cocktails are not only cute but also good tasting! The coffee was also a pretty solid choice too. Can’t wait to go back!
I went for a breakfast with my friends after last minute change in location. It was staggering experience as we dine in and were received in a hospitable way. Didn’t wait long to order food. I ordered Mushroom Bechamel Toast with Latte, food looked appetizing and fresh by its appearance. After i had a bite it melted down and i couldn’t resist for further luscious bites.
Will definitely visiting again.
Great restaurant for breakfast and brunch. The food is delicious and the atmosphere feels like vacation. To note, you place your order first at the front counter, then find an available seat.
Solid community offerings for breakfast. Everything was fresh and love the crispy potatoes. Coffee was delicious and food portions as expected for the price. They have a nice patio with picnic tables. There is limited free 2 hour street parking along the side street and ample cheap paid parking available on the main thoroughfare. Nice and close for people coming by the LRT with Sunnyside station being close.
Love this spot! Awesome food!! Nice staff as always :)
Avocado toast so fresh with sourdough bread! Also tried the duck confit (newer to the menu) as a double eggs Benedict. Honestly such good food for your $$&
These photos also got posted on our IG @ Lunch.Babes account
First of all they have this amazing server called Madison, she is so sweet and professional. We had London fog and white chocolate pistachues latte. It is a must to try it if you like pistachues, it is a bit sweet tho. We ordered the Vendôme egg bendict with 2eggs. The plate overall was really good. I wish if there is more color in the plate. We chose Truffle Mashroom Bashamile and Cured Salmon, they flavors were good but I felt the portion is small compared to the price. They aggs cooked perfectly the way we ordered it and hash browns was buttery and crispy which is nice combination. The dominate flavor of dish was creamy. They had a homemade hot sauce and it is delicious 😋. The atmosphere is friendly and enjoyed it. They don't take reservations by the way.
Definitely going back🙂
