My girlfriend from back home surprised me with lunch!! Everything was fantastic! Had the pulled rotisserie sandwich with parmesan fries! We were served complimentary smoked sausage with homemade pickles Which was quite tasty and the tomato jam for the fries was to die for!! Everything was definitely homemade, the foccacia bun and garlic aioli, and they don't skim on the chicken. We shared the salted caramel crunchy pudding which was fantastic!! Not pretentious at all. Good down home flavors!! Highly recommend!!
Stopped at Charcut for dinner prior to heading over to Vertigo Theater for a show. The food was AMAZING. My wife and I shared the steak with a side of poutine and the Brussels sprouts. The steak was cooked perfectly and was very flavourful. The poutine was fantastic and the Brussels sprouts were the best dish I have had in a long time.
Service was also outstanding. Unfortunately I have forgotten our waiter's name but he was attentive and offered some great suggestions on both food and beverage options.
Unfortunately we didn't have time to sample their dessert menu but we will definitely be going back!
Had a great dinner with the husband. The server was great at making suggestions. The food was cooked just right. The atmosphere was nice. Not too loud but loud enough you could be casual but will hold a convo. And the were virtuous of our timing to get to our play.
I love this place. It's a really good example of a restaurant with a theme - meat, really - and the flexibility to adapt that theme in a way that works well for everyone. Order your own things or eat family style; grab a burger or get into the adventurous part of the menu. It's a flavour-forward menu. Service is terrific.

Charcut is one of our favourite restaurant experiences and based on our dinner last night it's still number #1. The food, ambience and wait staff are second to none. Our waiter informed us that Charcut is having a menu change which is always refreshing, however if the beet salad and the chicken get axed my husband and I will lead a protest😂 Can't wait to experience the new menu🍷🍷🍷
The food, service and atmosphere was great. If you are a meat lover this is good place to try. This restaurant will be on my Calgary list, when I fly into town again.

We love Charcut!!! We have been there numerous times and there is always something amazing being served! The staff are fantastic! We sat at the chefs table as we enjoy watching how they prepare the food. I must say Connie is so genuine and remembers her customers it makes you feel so welcomed to the resturant. The team at Charhut are simply fantastic at recommending amazing paring libations and recommendations of what to try. We were so impressed by the fantastic food and service.
The alchemists who work in the kitchen managed to turn a sausage into a burger. An amazing feat that I am sure they learned from Merlin himself. The inspired chefs are truly mad! Oh and the servers were really nice and the restaurant itself was cozy.

Charcuts is one of my favorite restaurants in town. Their lunch special sandwich is amazing regardless of what the feature is and it is very reasonably priced for what you get. Mmmm I grave this place daily. Try it out you won't be disappointed.

Visited this restaurant last March with a group of my closest girlfriends from Edmonton for my Stagette and it was nothing short of amazing. From the front door greeting & saluting, to the overall service, food recommendations, plate & drink presentation and quality. Top notch and one of my favourite spots in Calgary. Looking forward to my next visit!!
After being a little unsure about some of the menu items (I'm not terribly adventurous), I had one of the best meals of my life. I credit our fantastic waiter Carson for being patient as we asked many questions...like what's a kitchen pickle? And, how exactly onion rings and bone marrow went together. still not sure about that one. And bless his heart for getting us dessert in a heartbeat so we could make our concert. Note to self: take the lid of the mason jar the dessert came in so as to not waste a speck of whipped cheesecake. Brilliant! I will be back very soon! And again, thank you Carson being a part of this perfect evening!

Food was very delicious and the service was quick! The sticky toffee pudding was quite dry and the pumpkin cheesecake was not what I was expecting (it was a little disappointing). I’m aware that the province has lifted the mask mandate but none of the staff or chefs were wearing masks accept for one individual. The chairs are a tad bit uncomfortable to sit in but other than that it’s a decent place in downtown Calgary with great food!
A review for those seeking a plant based/vegan diet. Great 3 course meal. Went there for a work function and notified the staff ahead of time of our diet preferences. Staff was very accommodating and we were very pleased with the food.
Exactly what you would expect of an amazing dining experience with exceptional food, lovely service and a vibrant atmosphere! The food is sure to exceed all of your expectations.
One of the best dinner experiences in recent memory…our table of 4 took 3 hours to dine on most of the menu and exceptional wine and the best Manhattan I’ve ever had. Our French server (name forgotten, way to much wine was consumed) made the entire experience what it was, this night will linger for many weeks to come
Ended my last night in Calgary with a meal fit for a king. That charcuterie board with pigs head mortadella was exceptionally tasty. The prime rib was very flavorful and the cheesecake was delightful. The foodie in me was quite pleased.
Charcut is by far my fave lunch spot downtown. The prime rib sandwich is the best beef dip I have EVER had. I won't entertain any other menu item. Prices are spot on for lunch and so amazing. The grainy mustard gives a nice texture to the sandwich. I highly recommend lunch at charcut.
