This is my favourite "go to place" when I have out of town guests or friends and family that have not experienced this dining experience. I have never been disappointed and I often treat myself when I get the craving.
It has such awesome food. And the desert is the best. Will defiantly be back. And very good Service.
Our 1st time there, and probably our often. It's amazing the combinations you can create in one simple order of pannenkoek; salted, sweet, fresh vegs or fruits, cheese, ice cream, etc. The staff is cordially, coffe is delicious. Prices affordable.
Love this place! Atmosphere is great and the food is superb!
Always a bit of wait but never fails to have great food and service!
A delicious experience. And the people are friendly and always checking to make sure you are ok.
Get there early or you will be waiting for a table for a bit. But it's worth it. :)
Great food great service! Definitely will visit again when I will be in town :) thx
Our whole family had breakfast there. Each of us got a different order so we could try at least 5 savory and 1 sweet. Everything was amazing and we stuffed ourselves silly we could barely move after!
Great food. Quick service. Very reasonable prices. Great family restaurant! Don't forget the dessert pancake after dinner!
Excellent, authentic Dutch deliciousness - and they sell my favourite cookies too!
Absolutely delicious! I will be back again and again. <3
It was worth the wait in line. Would totally recommend this place to all my friends and family!!
So many variations o the traditional big Dutch pancake! Great Dutch decor. You don't have to be Dutch to enjoy this place.
Buttery goodness that isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s certainly a #cheatday meal, but you’ll leave feeling like you were actually in Holland & that your Dutch godmother just fed you Sunday dinner for breakfast (5/5).
Their sweet pancake was a little too much for me! Haha. Definitely no way 1 person can finish that on their own. But delicious. Their savoury pancakes are more my kind of food. Hidden gem in Calgary.
Pfanntastic is fantastic! Easily one of the best breakfasts in town. Get a traditional pannenkoek like apple, raisin, and cheese. Good coffee! ‘nuff said
One of my favorite restaurants, the Dutch pancakes are always delicious! We always leave here happy with full bellies. Food & coffee are fantastic, I will keep coming back again & again.
I absolutely love the food, but I've often found the service to be quite slow. I like the savoury pannenkoek (cheese and potato) best, but the sweet have a place too (I like the applesauce).
Something different and definitely tasty. Lots of different choices from the traditional breakfast to savoury or sweet crepes. Service was diner delightful and ambience is about what you would expect for this type of place.
It was my first time having "Dutch Pancakes" and I liked them, I had the Philly cheese steak and tasted the Mediterranean and both were fantastic. We also shared a cinnamon roll without the baked apple, it wasn't super sweet, which I personally liked, but if you're ordering it for dessert or sweetness then I'd recommend opting for something else. The waitress was attentive and nice, but what looked like the owner wasn't quite nice.
We came to Pffantastic Pannenkoek on a Saturday (11:00am) and barely had to wait for a table. Normally, this place is packed but we lucked out (Stampede season is the best season). This was my first trip even though I’ve passed by it many times. Note: no reservations on weekends (from 8:00am to 3:00pm Saturday and Sunday).

Tasty and unique food! Just feels like a little too expensive for what you get. The decor is minimalistic and dated, and the service is quite good!
This place is excellent. It is pricey but quality of the food is a 5/5. Sweet and savoury dishes are tast and you should give this place a try.
Pfanntastic Pannenkoek Haus
My sons and I first heard of this Calgary restaurant on the Food Network show "You Gotta Eat Here" and tried to go on our last family trip to Calgary, however we attempted to go on the only day they were closed (a Monday I believe). At long last we were able to fit it in this last time we visited friends in Calgary, and trust me when I say...you gotta eat here!
The only negative I have for this restaurant is the wait time...but that's pretty forgivable when you understand that the wait times are so long is that the food is that good! You cannot make reservations to eat here and the restaurant itself is in a pretty small space embellished with lots of Dutch decorations. We knew that would be the case so took turns waiting with the kiddos and outside. About a half hour later we had our table...one of the long booths that fit six.
If you don't know what Pannenkoek are, they are basically Dutch pancakes. They are huge crepe like thin cakes with toppings. My husband had authentic ones in the Netherlands when he was there a few years ago and he raved about them.
We had some time to study the menu as we waited for our table and as my boys are little foodies they made some fun choices. My youngest had the Kaneel rol (Cinnamon roll) which had brown sugar, cinnamon, and cream cheese icing and he ordered it with added baked apple. My eldest and I split so we could eat two! We shared the Citroen sap en brine suiker which is brown sugar and lemon, and Spek en appel, with the deliciously thin baked apples and a lovely thin and crispy sliced bacon like pancetta. My friend had one with coconut, banana and chocolate (I forgot the Dutch name) and her sons both had chocolate ones. Yum! Everyone was pleased and everything was delicious. The staff was friendly despite it being very busy...clearly they are used to this. Well worth the wait.
Great staff, great food, usually a wait to get in. Enjoy both the sweet and savory options, the apple cinnamon one is delicious. Potato, bacon and onion... heaven.
This is our favourite breakfast place! On Sundays it's absolutely packed and there's always a lineup going out the door but it's seriously worth it! We actually prefer coming on a weekday (when we both happen to have a day off) because although it's still fairly busy, there isn't a huge line up and the service and food are even better. There's plenty of parking and there's a wide covered sidewalk out front so when you're waiting in line outside there's a bit of shelter from the sun and rain. You have to put your name on the list in order to get a table so please don't stand in line outside thinking it's an actual lineup to get in the front door because by the time you get inside you will have waited half an hour for nothing! Just send one person into the restaurant to stand in front of the hostess desk and eventually someone will come along and mark down your name and then you can go back outside and stand in line (or sit on the curb, or wait in your car or whatever you want to do). Side note, this restaurant accepts debit and credit even though it says cash only on Zomato.
If you've never had a Dutch pancake before please forget everything you think you know about pancakes because these couldn't be further from the standard breakfast pancake most people are used to. A Dutch pancake is just a thin batter used to bind together a bunch of ingredients. It's kind of like a crepe but even that is misleading because I think the only real resemblance is how thin it is. The batter doesn't have a very noticeable flavour, what you taste when you eat a Dutch pancake is the toppings. I always get potato, bacon, onion, leek and cheese. It comes with a side of sour cream. It is seriously soooo delicious! The potato is shredded and the cheese is sprinkled over the top so it gets nice and crispy. My fiancé always gets bacon, leek and mushroom. It's really good too! Sometimes we split a dessert one (usually banana, chocolate sauce and whipped cream but in the spring/summer they sometimes have one with strawberries, chocolate sauce and whipped cream). 3 pancakes is way too much for two people unless you have huge appetites so we either box up half of our savouries so we can eat the whole sweet one, or else we just split one savoury and one sweet.
The service is great, they don't have much staff turnover so their servers have been the same for many years and they're all so quick and efficient and very friendly as well.
First time trying this little hidden gem. It's a smaller restaurant and the wait time wasn't too bad. The food for the most part was excellent. Only one of the four pannekoek we had was too salty, but the rest were spot on. My favourite pannekoek was the herb butter one. So good! The prices were reasonable. Only tried the savoury ones, but the sweet ones also look good. Maybe next time, I'll try both.
The pannenkoek house is always and nice treat in the early morning, because if you aren't here early be prepared to wait. Specializing in dutch pancakes of both the savoury and sweet varieties, this place has always made me want to come back for more. These days I usually choose to build my own so I can have the exact flavours I am craving. Most time my wife and I order 1 savoury and 1 sweet and share them. The have always enjoyed the service and love the fact they have a small grocery section with some dutch offerings.
I have taken almost all my friends and family here to try the wonderful foood they offer . Chicken soup is amazing... always leave here happy and full.
Loved this place. The pancakes were amazing. So many different interesting combinations, I really didn't know what to choose. I went with a few friends and we all ordered different items and tried them all. All of them we're fantastic. I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again, and would recommend it to anyone who likes crepes (: Whether you want something salty or something sweet, they got you covered!
A locally owned institution located in a small shopping complex off the highway, Calgary’s Pfanntastic Pannenkoek Haus focuses on a very specific dish common throughout the Netherlands, but rarely found elsewhere, a novelty that has nonetheless found plenty of fans in Western Canada where a 9:05am arrival was just minutes early enough to avoid a significant line snaking out the frozen front door.
Discussing it’s unique style of skillet-cooked dough proudly on the website and menu, each round priced between $12-$19 with nearly limitless ability to customize in addition to several-dozen suggested combinations, patrons at Pfanntastic Pannenkoek Haus are greeted with the most smiling of faces by a team of mostly middle-age Women, most regulars ordering without even a look at the menu while the indecisive are presented Coffee with a Windmill Biscuit to enjoy as they weigh the options.
Decorated in traditional ornaments with a wide selection of imported Cookies, Candies and Toppings to take home, traditional Maggi Seasoning Sauce and Schenkstroop found alongside Creamer and Sugar on the table, it was with tough decisions made that two Pancakes filled the table perhaps fifteen minutes and two Cups of Coffee after entering, each flattened disc likely enough to feed a couple, the best bet to dine with a mindset of sharing.
Taking a good look at each Pannenkoek, the savory choice of Bacon and Onion beneath a lattice of Cheddar and crispy shredded-Potatoes a touch oily and quite salty even without the MSG-based Seasoning, slow-and-steady proves a wise choice when indulging as everything from the center out arrives piping hot, the sweet ‘classic’ cooled by three scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream and thick Schenkstroop far more readily devoured with a texture about halfway between a Crepe and a North American Pancake beneath a warm scoop of reduced Saskatoon Berries.

If I’ve learned anything from the countless professional development courses that I end up taking, it’s that sometimes you need to take a step out of your comfort zone.
That’s probably how I ended up having apple, cheese and onion pancakes for lunch.
Twice.
I am always looking for that new taste i can try so upon reading about this place I had to try it. I went with my girlfriend whom got a mushroom omelette. I ordered a onion, bacon, potatoe, cheese pannenkok. I have never experienced a pannenkoek before but let me say I really enjoyed it. I have had cheese toast with this kind of cheese melt abd loved it. The pannenkoek was savory, salty, soft, crispy. It was like a blast of flavours all at once. When you break down the ingredients it seems so simple. The taste you are getting though is far from simple. It is an amazing mix of flavor that blends perfectly. My girlfriend loved her omelette though I did bug her a bit for not being adventurous. Overall I will visit again because it was very yummy.
I'm Dutch, and we never ate pancakes in our house so it was a bit of a mystery. These are more like crepes, they come sweet or savoury. Big plates. Lots of choices. Beats Smitty's hands down. Dutch people don't really have a cuisine like the French or the Italians -- it's a huge cultural shortcoming. I've been to Holland and France and this beats Holland but not Paris lol. That said, this place has been around in a few incarnations over the years, back in the day it was on 4th street where Wild Rose was, ironically enough. I like it because it's family owned and it passes for 'Dutch' food, whatever that is. You'd kind of have to be out of your mind to open a Dutch restaurant. Who would pay the tab?
AMAZING! Whether you're feeling for salty or sweet these are amazing. Could go here for breakfast or dinner. The service is great and the food is even better.
We had to wait an hour to get in but it was honestly worth it. The waitress was fast and friendly and gave grey recommendations. My friend and I shared the potato, onion, bacon, cheese one as well as the cinnamon bun one with sugar, cinnamon, and cream cheese icing. Both were equally as delicious. It was well worth the wait!
Yummy....been there twice with large groups for dinner. Each time, we had a sweet waitress and all of us were pleased with our meals. Evenings are great as you can make reservations and it is not crowded. I'd love to go on the weekend for brunch , but I hear there are long lines....understandable as their pancakes are uniques, affordable and delicious :)
A unique experience, amazing food, and great customer service. Although the layout and interior design is cluttered in my opinion.
This place is great for sharing if you are ordering their specialty Pannenkoek. It is a 12 inch diameter crepe with any fillings to choose from. We ordered 3 Pannenkoek which are:
*Bacon, smoked sausage and egg
*Potato, cheese and bacon
*Apple and bacon
All of which are great, it was light, flavorful and just the right amount of fill in my tum tum. I highly recommend the potato, cheese and bacon as our waitress also recommended.
Overall, I would come back to try out other fillings and do order coffee as you get a nice dutch biscuit.
One of my favourite breakfast places. Go early because this place is so popular that it is always busy and there is a lineup. My fav is the potato, bacon, onion cheese. It comes with a side of sour cream. Totally reminds me of eating a perogie. I usally add a side of gouda cheese and add it on top. Delicious!!! And when you order a tea or coffee you get a yummy gingerbread cookie with it.
I was recommended to try this place by some friends and I'm glad I did. I came in on a Saturday around 12 and waited for about 20 minutes for a table. I ordered the shredded potato, onion, bacon and cheese from their savoury options. It was very good and extremely filling. I was only able to finish half my pancake. Their pancakes are a great value for your money. Service was great. The decor/atmosphere is simple and casual here.
This was my first time at this lovely place! Funny story, my friend and I were watching the last bit of You Gotta Eat Here and pfanntastic was on LOL. It's quite homey and the servers were very kind and hospitable. I got the philly cheese steak, because after watching the show, HAD to get it. My friend for the ham, cheese and egg. It was so good! This was my first time enjoying pannenkoeuk so I'm no expert! We actually rolled up our pannenkoeuks and cut them in half so we could share >=]. Easier to eat too! I will definitely be back!
Absolutely Delicious!!!! All the pancakes, both savoury and sweet are to die for and beautifully presented. The staff are friendly and attentive. I can't wait to be back!
I had been wanting to try this place since I first moved here but never got around to it. I had heard only great things but I put off eating here for years. That was a dumb move! This place is truly is pfanntastic! We went on a Thursday night about an hour before closing and I was happy that is wasn't too busy. The decor is cute and very blue but it was bright and clean.
Our server was incredibly friendly and even laughed at Gour.mand's jokes. She made some suggestions on our choices (cheese!) and the food came out in a flash. It was larger and flatter than I expected but looked and smelled delicious! Our sever suggested the syrup in mine and explained the other sauce on the table as well. And man, was it good. Although it had bacon and cheese it was not greasy. My bacon, leek and mushroom pancake was absolutely perfect. Everything tastes fresh and homey. It was, however, much more filling than expected. We were FULL and in retrospect should have shared a savoury and a sweet (for dessert) instead of getting our own. Next time!

There are many places on my go to list after watching shows such as “You’ve got to eat here”, but one of the restaurants that were always on the top was Pfanntastic Pannenkoek Haus. After our trips to Europe I have always tried to find locations in town that can allow me to indulge in European style cuisines, one of them being the pannenkoeks. Atmosphere: Quaint café style establishment that caters to both family and large groups.Price Range: Mid $10sFood: For those that aren’t familiar with pannekoeks, they’re essentially thin pancakes which are similar to crepes, which can be topped with either savoury or sweet fare. This allows them to take on many different flavour profiles and due to their fluffy and light texture, you’ll often crave more than one.
Absolutely delicious! I didn't go during rush brunch so I got my food SO quickly! Really nice family environment and the pancakes are to die for. Definitely would suggest it.
Pfanntastic is right! Great food, friendly service, and consistency from one visit to the next. My favorite breakfast place to take friends and family from out of town, never had a complaint. Go early though, it gets busy.
I absolutely love DPPH - one of the best niche spots in Calgary!
Brutally busy on weekends so my friends and I go on weeknights (note they are closed Mon/Tue).
Friendly service, delicious pannenkoek, the stroop syrup is awesome (try mixing it up into the sour cream YUM) and the decor is hilarious!! A total favorite!!!
I went to the Pfanntastic Pannenkoek Haus for brunch a while ago, it has taken me this long to follow with the post. When we arrived, it was a Saturday around lunchtime. As expected, the place was fairly busy. I ordered the herb butter pannenkoeken. It made for a substantial meal. The side salad was a nice fresh accompaniment to the substantial pannenkoeken. Hubby preferred mine over his Mediterranean.
Amazing food and amazing service! I have been here much more than I want to admit this week. Try the spinach cranberry with chicken. Weekend line ups can be quite long but the servers are great at checking in with you giving you an eta.
Second time we've been here now and really loved it again. I had the apple/bacon/cheese, daughter had Apple/bacon and wife had Apple/bacon/raisin. All were amazing. Will visit here every time we come to Calgary. Unfortunately that not often enough. Bought 6 packages of those amazing cookies as well. Can't find them in Saskatoon.
Love coming here for my comfort food to remind me of home! Remind me of what my bestemødres would make for us as a treat when we were small. Now I can try it with some Canadian things too!
Ummmm what can I say about this little gem! Oh... It's a GEM!! When you order your drinks, they bring out these most delicious ginger bread crunchy cookies! I always get a pile more after I devour the two they bring! Now the crepes! Holy Hanna these are so worth the wait in the line up (get there early if you want to avoid a long wait to get in)!!! I always order the potato, leek, bacon with added pineapples! Mmmmmmm it's so so good with the molassesy syrup and sour cream they bring you! Everyone is always happy with what they get here. Its even been on 'you gotta eat here'' food network TV show! A must try restaurant!
The reviews are accurate. I had the banana coconut chocolate and am on a major sugar high, but tummy is happy. Great service and I will be back.
I'm a regular here. Their coffee is consistently good and rich, their ginger cookie is a great compliment to it. I always come back for a custom pancake with Chicken, tomato, peppers, mushrooms, and cheese. The warm blueberry or cherry pancakes are awesome. I've also tried the Cinnamon roll and black forest pancakes as a desert, I'm just never let down by this place. Servers are all very nice genuine people. I will continue to visit them whenever I can!
Delicious food! It's one of my favorite breakfast restaurants in Calgary. Beware, though: this place is packed on weekend mornings, so be prepared to wait awhile in line.
If I ever go to the Netherlands, I'm hunting for Pannenkoek.. The French have a good thing going with rolling crepes and stuffing filing inside. The dutch cook everything into the crepe batter. Sorry, Paris, the dutch win on this one.
I love the European dichotomy of sweet vs. savory, and even better: sweet plus savory. This is written into their Pfanntastic menu choices. Wonderful dutch crepes with every possible sweet and savory choice you can imagine.
This is one of the brunch restaurants that you must bring your family to when they visit Calgary. Just... maybe not on the weekend... it's busy! (You gotta eat here!)
A++. Great food and outstanding service every single time.
Delicious!. I loved this place! I went on a weekday at 11AM, so I dodged the crowd. We ordered a sweet pannenkoek with apples and cinnamon, and a salty pannenkoek with veggies and egg. It was filling but not heavy. Very satisfying and definitely worth it :) I would definitely go back.
I've grown up eating pannekoeken, and Pfanntastic did not disappoint. The menu was extensive, and very creative. The food is excellent and the coffee is traditional Dutch coffee. Erg lekker!!!
It was ok for what I remember an authentic pannekoek should be but a bit overpriced and the restaurant itself was very drab. Server staff lovely and very kid friendle.
AMAZING!. Amazing food and Amazing service...i can't believe how long I waited to go to this little gem. Will be back next week! I love the vibe and the kitschy decor as well...everything is just awesome.
Delicious Dutch treat!. I have been coming here for about 15 years and the food is always consistently yummy. I highly recommend the chicken drop noodle soup and the bacon potato cheese pancake or my current fav, the bacon apple pancake. It's not much to look at decor wise I've heard it resembles the quintessential, authentic diner you would find in the Netherlands. Either way, I will keep coming back!
Most amazing breakfast!! Th.... Most amazing breakfast!!
The pancakes were perfectly cooked and the combinations were so delicious! And if you don't like the menu items the have a "make your own" section. The service was very quick and the waitresses and waitors were all so nice and made sure we always had a full cup.
Deffinately worth going again!
Yummy in my Tummy. I enjoyed the food! I wish we were educated more about the food and the concept as we had no idea what to order or what the menu said. Otherwise, good food and service.
A real gem.. This place is original, delicious, friendly, and just a great dining experience. Food takes a little while, but that's to be expected with one man cooking everything himself, and all freshly prepared. Who knew pancakes could be this diverse, and this tasty? One of the best places to eat in the city.
Love this place!!! Excellent!!. I love love love Pfannastic Spanokoponek (that's how I call it). The service is excellent (most of the time), food is amazing, coffee is strong and dutch cookies delish!! Cozy, old school atmosphere. Perfect for brunch, lunch or dinner.
This is the type of restaurant that will give you that warm, fuzzy feeling. It's cold outside, and you are sitting here facing this delicious dutch pancake goodness. Talk about amazing. Check it out people!
Pannenkoek are awesome. Love pancakes and this joint did not disappoint had the bacon smoked sausage & egg Pannenkoek was good.
Amazing food.. I ALWAYS wanted to try this place after driving past it more times then I could ever count, finally after seeing a review on the Food Network "You gotta eat here" I just had to stop by. My biggest regret was waiting all these years before doing it. The food was amazing, to say the absolute least, very original and very very well made and absolutely delicious. The service was incredibly friendly and helpful, prices were excellent, how can you go wrong? my only complaint is the lack of seating. I was warned of the 40 minute line ups on a Sunday. Shame.... Very very well recommended.
Geweldig. My Wife is Dutch, Having Pannenkoek here took her back to her childhood, My Wife son and I loved both the Savory and Sweet. Grolsch good as always and the coffee not bad either.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Defiantly come back again.
Sweet or savoury - you can't go wrong. Tucked away in an odd location, is this little gem. Family friendly casual atmosphere. Staff is adequate and efficient. Food choices are good and there is something for everyone.
No artsy f**tsy, fancy eloquent stuff...... Just the facts... .
Food...... Amazing! Incredible, wow!!!!!
Service..... Awesome
coffee strong, BUT.... while the wait, no matter how long, is worth every second, if there is one thing that drives me crazy....... If you tell me its a 15 minute wait, don't be surprised when I'm annoyed after 45 minutes of waiting........ They are never accurate with the wait times, please be prepared
It does not matter what mood you are in for eats. Come hear and find what your looking for for a very fair price and an amazing staff.
The food here is really good and there's so many different types of pancakes! This restaurant is right by my high school and a big problem I find is that they are exceptionally rude to all teenagers and young people from the moment they come in. Good food but bad service.
I love the food. The pancakes are delicious but the servers are always really rude to teenagers. The servers are never very attentive either. Great food ruined by bad service.
Pleasant surprise. My son and I went inside by accident because we were too early for our appointment next door. We looked at the menu and it looked interesting. Their dutch pancakes are amazing. It was definitely a pleasant surprise. I like sweet thing and I fell in love the stroop.
Food was delicious Four of .... Food was delicious
Four of us had different selections and all were great.
Shredded potato, bacon & cheese snd the cinnamon apple were very yummy!
Try this place and you won't be disappointed!
Long wait on sunday so be sure to put your name on the waiting list ASAP.
Great variety
So unique!. My boyfriend took me here and said it's his favorite breakfast place. The food was amazing and service was great. I got the apple and bacon mix. I was a happy girl.
Pfanntastic Indeed!. I have been going here regularly since 2006. As a Dutchman, I appreciate the Pea Soup the most. The coffee is very good and served with a traditional biscuit. The savory pancakes are my favorite, but I see a lot of people ordering the sweet ones just as often. Potato and Onion (sometimes with Sausage) is just delicious! Also reheats very well on the stove. As another reviewer from Holland commented, these are authentic Dutch pancakes, not the North American fluffy kind. Don't forget to try the syrups on the table!
Delicious!. I can never get the name of this place right! That does not matter as long as I know how to get there haha. Their Dutch pancakes are phenomenal! Take whatever ingredients you want and you will just love it!
Yummy !. Would go again. Maybe even become a regular!
Always yummy in my tummy! The place is always busy especially during weekends....but it's definitely worth the wait!
Delicious. Went here today and was smart to go later then earlier to beat the.lines that this little gem gains on weekends. Had the potato, bacon and cheese as well as coconut, banana & chocolate. My friend and I shared and they split them on 2 plates. Delicious. I will be back to try more items. Too bad they close Sundays at 3. :(
Pfanntastic!. This place is super busy, so going at an odd time to miss rush hour is a good idea, but even with a long wait, this place is SO worth it!
The food is quick, affordable and always incredibly delicious.
The place is clean and comfortable.
The staff are super helpful and really friendly. Honest to goodness great service at this place! I'm so stoked that they have gluten-free options.
After my first time I knew I would go again and again...
Great food, great twist on the classic Pannenkoek. My wife is Dutch so I've had my fair share and this was by far one the the tastiest I've ever had! One down fall is its soo busy, I've never not had to wait for a table.
I read through some of the other reviews and had to laugh at the people saying 'This isn't a pancake!'
Well, people, this is a DUTCH pancake house, with DUTCH pancakes, not your usual fluffy North American kind of pancakes.
I am half Dutch and spent every year vacationing there throughout my life and I think these pancakes are delicious and very authentic. As is the decor. It honestly reminds me of my Dutch relatives houses.
The service has always been good and I'm never let down by the food.
So please, read the history on this place and know your pancakes.
If you want a North American pancake, go to Denny's.
After driving past this restaurant every day we finally gave it a shot. Was worth the short wait on a Saturday morning. The staff is friendly, decent prices and portions. We had the more "savory" options but will definitely be back again to try the sweet varieties.
Yummy and worth the wait!
We needed to wait about a half hour but we were expecting that from their information online. Our waitress was friendly & helpful. Even though it was busy we didn't feel rushed at all. The food was delicious with so many good options to choose from, and we had steady refills of water and coffee. Really lovely, definitely a great spot to bring a family or a group of friends for a comfortable brunch.
Awesome place for Dutch breakfast. Order comes pretty fast and well cooked. You can select your own add-ons.
Incredible food and amazing service. They have a wide variety to choose from their menu, ranging from savory to sweet options. I ordered the Mediterranean and it was outstanding. The balance of flavours blew me away. Also, when they serve you tea or coffee, they give you a complimentary biscuit. The biscuit is delicious delicious available for purchase at the restaurant. There is always a huge line, but the food and experience is definitely worth it!
Service was incredibly friendly, homey and welcoming! The food was really delicious. My husband and I were sharing a savoury pancake and a dessert - both items were split and brought out on separate plates so we didn’t need to do it ourselves. Highly recommend!
If you have never tried this unique brunch option, grab your keys and your best foodie friend and go there right now.. or the next time you're hungry and craving some delicious food. They put one dutch condiment on the table that's this strange sweet sauce with a yellow lid. It's delicious. Ask for the other sauce, it's the same brand but a savoury salty sauce. Oh man, the combo is beyond delicious. I'm vegetarian so I get the crepe with potato, onion and cheese - if you eat meat they have a similar option that includes bacon. I would recommend either of those on your first visit. Once you try it this is going to be a staple brunch venue for you, no doubt.
Lastly, their staff is unreal. I've always had the same server when I go on a Saturday and she is the most lovely human in the industry. All in all they deserve 10 stars, you should go.
The best place to embrace your dutch heritage and my NUMBER 1 FAVOURITE place.
This place has been my birthday breakfast location since I was 8 years old. Being 23 now, it my regular Brunch spot with friends or family. (Best hangover food in the universe) I will admit im pretty salty about the fact they shut down 1 month at a time even with all the Covid restrictions they have made, but im toxically in love with this place so I wont stay mad forever 😂
Tasty food and friendly service! We ordered savory one and sweet one. They served half/half for us. Yum!
