I doubt this happens every time you eat here but we stumbled on a pretty festive evening, plate smashing, dancing, and celebrations. The food was amazing and the service was pretty good to! I recommend this is you haven't tried it!
I absolutely love this place!! I delivered their coffee and restaurant supplies for years and always wanted to eat there! My hubby took me the first time 6 yrs ago, we had the Greek dinner that comes with like 6 courses....aside from the calamari which we both don't like no matter how good it is , the meal was amazing! It was my 50th birthday Sunday and he took me there and it was every bit as good as I remember! I may have to start going more often....it would be alone as hubby doesn't like Greek food he's more a very plain eater! His loss their food is delicious and they always greet you with a huge smile and very attentive to our needs! Can't wait till next time and it will be sooner rather than later!
We had the combination platter and had the best of everything. It was all so delicious that it would be impossible to pick a favourite. Must try!!
Picked this place for my birthday dinner completely randomly. What a great pick! Excellent food, very kind & hard working staff, very cool atmosphere. We had a table right next to this unique fountain. The food was clearly made with high quality ingredients. Will definitely be returning!

Amazing! 5 of us girls went to celebrate a birthday and ordered a ton of appetizers. The saganaki was perfect, vine leaves were served warm and delicious. Calamari was nice and tender, meatballs tasty and those prawns in sauce were out of this world amazing!! Taziki is really flavourful. The only disappointment was the horiatiki salad. There was absolutely no flavour and the feta was quite “wet”. Just didn’t have the “vinegary-ness” of a Greek salad that you typically get. I did end up sending it back unfortunately and the staff graciously took it off our bill which was nice but not necessary. Everything else was spot on though. We had all been to Greece before and this cute restaurant really gave us that charming feeling of being in a little Santorini restaurant.
This wonderful place is consistently excellent. We have been coming here for many years, and no matter if it is a quiet dinner for two or a birthday party for ten, it is always outstanding. The service is perfect- thoughtful and speedy. I can't say enough good things! You will never be disappointed.
There's ample parking on the side and back of the restaurant. It is a small restaurant-the server asked some of us to get our seats closer to thee table. Not much space in between tables. Great service. Good food but small portions and a bit expensive. Must try the rack of lamb.
The food was wonderful I loved our waiter he was fantastic!!!! The music was just right not to loud and it made me feel like I was really in Santorini I really enjoyed myself it was the perfect end to my day
There are so many things that are so good about this place! I've always had great service, great food, great wine and a good price. I had a little bit of my meal left over, ordered too many appetizers and the staff was concerned I didn't finish because there was something wrong with it, I had to assure them I was just too full to finish. They really treat you like family.
Went for supper. Was pleasantly surprised. Staff is friendly. Food was fresh. Seems to be a popular place. Reservations recommended as looks like it can get very busy
One of the best Greek restaurants I have been to in the city. Service is friendly, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the food has always been delicious! I do wish the portions were a little bigger though, compared to other Greek restaurants I have dined at. Definitely recommend this restaurant!
Great food, but a bit overpriced. The service can be great on some days, and horrible on others (which is why I won't give them 5 stars). They cater to their regular patrons. The saganaki and calamari are great dishes.

Excellent meal Saturday night. Waiter was also excellent. Great appetizers loved the dolmathes Roast lb was spectacular. Concierge lady need to replace the sweat pants for a nice shirt or dress slacks. Or better yet how about something Greek?

we started out with the saganaki and tried the lamb souvlaki and roast lamb as our main omggg it was so tender and moist!! a must try!! we will definitely be coming back to try the other dishes!! best Greek food iv had in Calgary so far!!
Delicious!. Definitely one of the better Greek spots in town. The decor could be updated, but I personally enjoy the "old-school" atmosphere. Feta and olives were great; the feta was creamy and not overly salty. Calamari was calamari, tasty and fried. Not chewy, which is always a bonus. Tallest moussaka I've seen yet, but not too much bechamel. Overall, very good experience. The service was as good as the food. Will definitely return!

I went here with my boyfriend and I and we were there as soon as it opened. We were the only people in the restaurant.
We ordered the kotopoullo and the lasagna thingy that I don't know the name of. And boy was it great!
My chicken was cooked to perfection and the lasagna was so creamy and tasty.
The service were alright, the boss was having a fight with one of the servers for putting a wine menu on the table because he thought that we were underage, but we aren't.
Although that happened, the food was amazing. And we are definitely going back there to try more things!
This place has a family feel and great food.. We enjoyed the laid back vibe and friendly family feel to the place.
The staff obviously have many returning customers and have taked to time to build a raport with them.We had mainly apps, Hummus, Kalamata, Feta and Olives, Saganaki and of course Retsina.

I have always been fascinated with everything Greek,especially the people and food and Santorini made that passion even deeper. My friend Ryan and I dined there for the first time and felt just like family. Our waiter Louie was wonderful and carried the warmth and genuine nature that is so common with the Greek people. I would highly recommend Santorini to those wanting to experiance a unique atomosphere,amazing food and wonderful people.
My first visit. Very accommodating staff. Aubergine appetizer was excellent. Octopus was a little rubbery but still tasted great. We had roast lamb and suckling pig - both tender and tasty, and large portions. Sides also flavourful.
Good hosts. I would rate Santorini as one the best Greek restaurants in our city.
Excellent as always!. We came for dinner on January 4th to celebrate my mother-in-law's 60th birthday. As always the food was amazing, the service was exceptional and the atmosphere was electric. They accommodated a very large group and handled it with grace. We will back again soon!
Happy New Year!. Unlike the previous review, my husband and I had a wonderful New Years Eve at this restaurant. You can tell this is a cozy family restaurant from the wife and husband taking our reservation playfully giving each other a hard time to the tables just inches away from each other. The music was boisterous and our server was vibrant. He was a perfect combination of friendly, efficient and genuine. Perfect NYE atmosphere. We tried the taverna special and the three course feast did not disappoint. Everything was flavorful and though we don't know exactly what authentic Greek food tastes like, the food tickled our taste buds and it was a joy from beginning to end. The lamb indeed was a bit dry but it was hardly a culinary failure as it definitely wasn't lean (mmm) and I managed to scoop a little marrow from the bone which was a delight. So much food for what you pay for. Definitely not my last time here.
One of my favorite restaurants. We come here a few times a year. The food and the service are always amazing. Its always the same staff. The food is good everytime. I enjoy the special platters for 2 people. Its a lot of food but you can always take it home. I love the cream cheese dip with fish roe its delicious.

Best Greek food I've had in a long time!!! The atmosphere was inviting and made me feel like I was in a little cafe in Greece. Service was perfect! The owners are so friendly. Food was timed perfectly since we ordered appetizers. It's on the pricier side but TOTALLY worth it! We used to always go to Mykonos which I thought had great food....until we discovered Santorini!!!
Another Wonderful First Visit. This was my first visit to Santorini's as well. We were actually looking for Mikonos, also on Centre St. N., but regrettably that location has closed. We all got one of the two available 'full meal deals' and that encompassed about 5 courses. Every serving was impeccable. The waiter timed everything perfectly and each dish was at or near the top of it's class. A carafe of the house red was very pleasant to accompany the meal. We topped it off with the baklava, which is perhaps the best example I've ever tasted. All in all it was a wonderful experience in a pleasant atmosphere, with free parking in the back.
You really couldn't ask for more. I was very impressed.

I have been driving by this place for 5 years now. the exterior doesn't do the place any favours. all I can say is this was the best meal I have had in years! the reason the outside hasn't change in 25 years is because they don't have to. the best lamb, baklava in town by a longshot!!!, eat here for sure.
Fantastic First Visit!. I went on to OpenTable.com to find a place and got one of the last times available, thankfully! We shared the Taverna Special, which I highly recommend. It was a terrific way to try a bit of several offerings. The portions were generous and we had to take some of the last course to go. I really didn't want the lamb so the waiter happily offered chicken instead. YUM! The service was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating and the owner frequently watched the room and chatted with the regulars. The food was absolutely amazing and worth every penny. I wish all restaurants could still offer this kind of experience. But they don't, so I'll go back to Santorini instead!
Fantastic Moussaka. I fell in love with this restaurant circa 1993 and 20 years later, it is still consistent. Their moussaka is delicious and authentic. And huge - could only get through 1/2 of it tonight. I'm not a big potato fan, but theirs are the perfect amount of roatsed and lemony. Wonderful tzatziki too.
Finally, the service is great.

So Good!. Some of the dishes I fell in love with when I visited the island of Santorini a couple years ago are done very well here and I have never been disappointed.
First off, my favorite appetizer is Saganaki, it is quite literally a fried piece of cheese (easily shared between 4 people, but I prefer no more than 2 :)) served hot out of the skillet with fresh lemon. They also have great pita, tzatziki, and dolmates.
I always order the Mousaka, it's kind of like a greek version of shepherds pie, layers of eggplant, ground beef, tomato, seasoning (hints of cinnamon and allspice) topped with a fluffy layer of bechamel. So filling, with the side of rice, roasted potato and vegetables I always have leftovers - yay!
The service is always friendly and you almost feel like home since it's a family run business. Best Greek I've had in Calgary by far!

4/5 - have any......cheese?. The decor made me feel like I was eating at a rustic restaurant or a street cafe in europe. The service was pretty good; he was nice and joked with us. I guess just like a typical waiter. The price of $36 per person was good considering the portion and what we were offered to sample.
We ordered the Taverna Special and over all, it was very cheesy. Every plate including the salad had some sort of cheese or dairy product. They were all individually very good and tasty, but in a combination special I was very 'cheesed' out. The pan fried cheese was good and I enjoyed the crust. I'm sure the other cheese loaded dishes were good too but I think by the time I received them that I was cheesed out.
Just when I was starting to give up hope, the waiter came out with a plate of meat (Arni Kleftiko) saying 'I hope you are still hungry because the portion of meat here feeds 3 people'. Wow. There was quite a bit of meat to include with what we have had already and I was already full and cheesed out. I still had to try it though because I love meat. Let me tell you, the roasted lamb was PHENOMENOL. This was by far the highlight of the evening.
I will definitely go back to give the roasted lamb another try.
I love the quirky interior, the friendly staff, and the roast lamb is to die for. If you are like me, and sick of calgary's sports bar type giant chain restaurants with TVs and pop music this little family restaraunt will certainly charm you.
Really, really good food and excellent service. We had a seafood platter,dolmas and roast lamb......all very good. Will return for sure.....
Sooo Good!. Still in awe . . . started with satziki and pita bread. The sizzling pan fried cheese (Saganaki) became a battle to see whose fork came in first. The combination platter for two fed three of us (all ladies), the moussaka was was delightful, the lemon roasted potatoes divine.
The staff were friendly. The belly dancer was only there for a very short while (Saturday night).
Never Disappoints. This restaurant is consistently good... the food, the service, the ambience. I've never had a bad dish, and never left hungry. Reasonably priced and very tasty. Not the best Greek food in the world, however will not disappoint.
