Review Nando's - Burnaby

Worst place to eat , we ordered via uber eats on Aug 29 around 7:30 pm. Posting the review right away cause don’t wanna give bad review for driver in uber . A whole chicken, grilled livers , peri fries. No sauce was added on livers and chicken. Both are dry and tasteless. We ordered peri fries we just got plain fries. Not ordering again from here and definitely would not recommend. Zero rating from me

This is the first time that I have to write review because it makes me so disappointed. I order 2 whole chickens; however, all of them are burnt. It tastes so bitter. We can not eat it. We have to discard all of them.

This place serves a flame-cooked chicken which is really delicious. I am not a big fan of chicken but they cook it extremely well. And I eat it with pleasure. They say that they marinate it for 24h to make it so soft and juicy. The garlic bread is also tasty. They have their special sauce Peri-Peri to add to the chicken which is too hot for me but my husband likes it. Here you need to order yourself at the check out, then they bring you your order. It is a good place to eat if you don't have much time to wait for your order but as for me it is better than traditional fast food. So I recommend it.

Delicious, flavorful, flame-grilled peri-peri chicken. It comes in different flavors with varied intensity of spiciness. Chicken parts were small though for North America standards. The size was like Nando's in Singapore. So if you are hungry, the 1/4 piece may not be enough. Nice place and the great service by the staff. We love Nando's and make it a point to visit a branch everytime. How I wish they would open in the Philippines.

Always fav but this branch, the chicken was kinda old and somewhat they just warmed it up and it was burned. They put less sauce unlike in Davie, the chicken is overflowing with sauce and so fresh.

This is an older Nando’s location but the service and food is wonderful. Been here a few times now and have not been disappointed. It is pretty central and accessible, road parking is a little limited but I have always been able to find a spot. Sure we will be back as soon as a opportunity presents its self.

I have to say I am quite disappointed with the service and COVID protocols in place at this Nandos location. According to the BC government website, when vaccine passports are being checked, employees are required to check a government ID as well to verify identity. This did not happen when I went out to eat here earlier today with my friend. I brought it up to our server and she said she didn't know what I was talking about. This is concerning for those who have taken this pandemic seriously and want to continue dining out safely. In addition, we were not checked up on at all once our food was brought out, and the portion of perinaise that we paid for was half of what is supposed to be given out. These small things would usually not bother me but I used to work at different Nandos location a few years back and it is sad to see employees not caring about the service they provide to customers as well as not following standard operating procedure with portion sizes. I attached a picture of the perinaise for reference.

Fav sides are vegetables and regular fries! The peas and coleslaw are just okay. Great service and food. There’re lemon & herbs, mango, medium to very hot flavours of spiciness for your chicken dish. There are also other seasonings that you can help yourself with.

Had a very frustrating experience with extremely poor and unprofessional service. Repeatedly asked staff for a glass and cutlery after they served my meal with out either. (WTF?) Honestly, It was the worst customer service I have ever witnessed or personally dealt with. Maybe just this location? But the people I interacted with last night do not care what so ever about their work. 0/5 stars.

Hello friends! The other day Grayson and I made our way to the Nando’s in Burnaby because I was craving their peri-peri sauce. Yes I am quite aware that you can buy the sauces at the store by the bottle but it’s a different feel when you go in for a visit yourself! When we walked in the door, I was surprised as to how different it looked from Nando’s North Van because there were more of a rustic look whereas the North Van location had more bright colours.

Love love love! This nandos is always good! The chicken are juciy and fresh! It is better than the nandos I had in Europe! We ordered a sharing platter to share among us. Great portion for the two of us!

This place is fantastic! It was our first time trying out Nando’s, the service was decent and the restaurant was clean and neat. Staff at the Burnaby location checked with you from time to time to see if everything was fine (probably because they knew we tried it out for the very first time). The fries are just perfect and crispy, chicken tasted very juicy and fresh. We even got a welcome gift which was a peri-peri hot sauce:) I took 0.5 out because the portion isn’t a whole lot so if you wanna leave filled full you tummy, you might need to order quite a bunch of stuff.

I had ordered a quarter chicken breast here with rice on the side a month ago and the rice was spoiled, chicken didn't seem like it was marinated at all.Threw it away otherwise I would get sick. Just because it's late night does not mean you would serve bad food to save money. Called to complain and the lady I talked to asked me to come back and they will reimburse the rice and said the manager is not available. I told her you should throw your rice away otherwise you could seriously hurt someone and I was told I was the first one to complain about the rice. Bad customer service. This is the second time I had bad experience with this location. I usually go to Metrotown location as they always serve food fresh. This Kingsway location is a bad one. I would consider that my last visit on this location.

Been ages since I've been here and was surprised to see so many things. Large space with a spacious feel to the seating arrangement. Nice and interesting decor. Clean. And staff friendly and helpful, totally deserving of a tip, so if you agree after your meal, put something on the table if you didn't tip up front when you paid for your order at the counter.

my friend bought me a nando's :DD really happy about it, i mean free food is always the best no doubt about it, and so she bought me peri fries, and a chicken peri level, i can't remember the spice level, but definitely it's one of the lower level ones...

I haven't had nandos' for a long time but i do recall that the spice is actually quite good. So had the chicken, the meat is tender, juicy and meaty for sure unlike kfc nowadays... so pretty about that, the spice, it's a tingling sensation, more to savoury type for sure. defintely a good combination of spices. and the fries, definitely alright, more potatoish compared to mcdonalds. so then, overall i would say it's actually good. but again there's something in me that i would rather support local business than a franchise type of food.

So believe it or not, I've never had Nando's in my life until recently! This blog is blogging 2 different Nando's that I recently went to.I was in Surrey and met up with a good buddy for some dinner and thought hey, why not try some Nando's since I haven't tried it yet and heard it was pretty good. I knew nothing about Nando’s before this except that they

While The Urban Dweller is busy dining at plush eateries Lumière or Le Crocodile, us normal people enjoy a satisfying, yet nutritious, meal for a fraction of the price. Nando' s Flame-Grilled Chicken fulfills these desires with its succulent chicken and g

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. FOR THE FIRST TIME, AFTER COMING TO THIS LOCATION MANY TIMES BEFORE, I WAS NOT IMPRESSED !! The cashier lady told me I would have to wait 10 minutes to pay for my order (something to do with the cashier being down somehow) I asked her if I could at least place my order because it takes at least 10 minutes to cook the chicken anyway. She said "Yes". 10 Minutes later, cashier still down. I told her why don't I just pay for the chicken because I know how much it is ( I've ordered it for take out many times before) She said "NO, the prices JUST WENT UP" "WHAT"??? So I had to wait in total about a half an hour until some dude who works there showed up and punched some code into the cashiers. I finally then paid the extra amount and left. I WAS A BIT MIFFED TO SAY THE LEAST !!

Upon entering the restaurant, we went up to the cashier to order, paid, and then seated ourselves at a table of our choosing. We had 1/4 chicken with lemon & herb flavoring, Caesar salad, peri-peri chicken burger and garlic mashed potato. Over the speakers they played Latin music, but it wasn't too loud. The food was satisfactory. Would return again someday.

May be my last visit. I was a fan of Nando's until lunch today. The menu has changed since I've been there, almost a year ago, but I'm not sure it's for the better. I had their Supremo Chicken Wrap, which was only lettuce for about half of the wrap, then there was some chicken and tomatoes at the bottom. for almost $10, not a great deal and not very filling. I added a side salad for a dollar which was a plastic conatiainer of wilted greens, most of which was not edible.

Sorry Nando's, in the future I'm going to have to take a pass.

Need to work on presentation and better quality. This place is not able to keep up with the competition. Food does not seem fresh. too many add-on options that can cost upto 7 bucks more on top of the chicken order.
The chicken is served in a box, lying there all alone. if you want fries, or salad, or rice, thats an add-on. Seriously, a piece of chicken, that is terrible for standards. They need to realize that KFC, popeyes sell better servings, fresh, hot and nice smell for half the price Nandos is asking for, for what? the sauce??? not worth it.
Not worth the money or the way its presented.

Today’s entry is coming from Nando’s Chicken . Does the PERi-PERi secret formula provide a winning marinade?...Jumping from fried chicken to grilled chicken, I think a lot has to with the marinade of the chicken. At Nando’s they call it PERi-PERi and it comes in 5 levels as described by their PERi-ometer.

I keep having bad experiences at Nando's, so I decided to give it one last shot. I've been to the other Kingsway location, but I thought the mall location couldn't be too bad. They specialize in peri peri chicken, which is their flame grilled chicken. Since it was just me, myself and I. I decided to look towards the "Classic Meals for One", how depressing! I actually don't mind since no one needs to watch me chow down. their prices are alright, but can get pricy if you keep adding stuff onto your meal. Quarter chicken theight meal with Greek salad ($9 $1). When you upgrade to the greek salad, you gotta pay a dollar more. The salad did not look like it was worth $1 more, the leaves were not fresh and started to change colors. I was scared…but since I'm asian I ate it anyways. The onions didn't look fresh either, it seemed like it was cut a while ago and just refrigerated for a long time. Best to stay away from the salad. The chicken on the other hand was pretty good! I got their mediu

I'll be honest - I'm not that big of a fan of Nando's Chicken. One of my friends really over hypes it, and it wasn't that good the handful of times I've tried it recently. I think it's kind of expensive for what it is. Anyway, there's one just outside my office building. My 2011 Entertainment Book was expiring soon, and I honestly haven't made much use of it, so I decided to use the Nando's coupon before it expires on November 1. I used the deal for two-two leg meals with regular sides. Me and my brother both chose medium spicy, with peri fries and two bottled ice teas. The total still came to $23, which seemed like quite a bit given we had a coupon. The chicken came out and it looked different from what I'm used to. This time, the peri sauce was just poured on top rather than cooked and basted with it. I'm not used to seeing so much sauce on top of it. The taste was pretty good and the chicken was pretty juicy except for the overly charred bits here and there. The sieze of the c

A month or so ago, monchichi of Not Another Big Menu wrote about Nando’s in the UK. I mentioned as a comment that my experience with Nando’s here in Vancouver was sub-par. That was over two years ago and I thought I should give it a try again.

If you have the craving for barbeque chicken and are (a) too lazy to barbeque or (b) inundated with enough frost to prevent you from being outside for more than 60 seconds at a time without losing an appendage, might I recommend Nando's. It's fast food th
