Review Golden Pita - Burnaby

Chicken Shawarma sandwich is ok, bonus point for grilling the bread, but it's missing some tanginess and a few more picked turnip. Must be noted, that it's now under new management.

simply amazing... authentic lebanese cuisine prepared by the owners themselves. homemade cooking at its best. owner lady was kind enough to guide me as this was my first time trying lebanese food. she was generous to give a refill on hummus which was greatly appreciated (unfortunately, i was too full to keep going) fresh salad and succulent lamb kabab with steamy hot rice. couldnt be better. will return for more food! thank you :)

Excellent food! I've been a regular for over 5 years. Very nice staff and the food is really tasty.

I ordered a Beef Shawarma Plate. Pretty well seasoned food. Smart cooking because when heating up there was oil and tomatoes added to keep the meat moist. And I do appreciate him using an oven rather than a microwave. Hot things were hot and cold things cold. The combo also came with a choice of soup. I had the chicken noodle soup and I was very surprised with the amount of meat inside! I had arrived 50 minutes before closing but was told I could not dine in. I can accept that as he was working alone and may take time to clean up. However, utensils weren't provided and I didn't know until I was able to find a place to sit that was a long way away!

I used to eat at this restaurant a lot about 5 years ago and it was delicious. I was excited to have it again today and I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the food and the level of customer service. The chicken didn’t taste fresh. It tasted like old chicken warmed up. It’s as if ownership or management has changed.

Awesome food. Been coming here for many years now 🙏. My absolute favorite item on the menu would have to be the Chicken Rocket 🚀. Perhaps the name may sound strange to many people but I assure you, this Chicken Wrap is named accordingly. The taste will take your taste buds beyond our Solar System and somewhere deep into our galaxy. The lentil soup is also quite nice here. There are many amazing menu items here but the Chicken Rocket is a must try.

A hidden gem tucked away in a plaza close to Lougheed Mall. They make some of the tastiest and authentic Lebanese food in all of Vancouver. Ever since we discovered this place about six years ago, myself and all my colleagues at work have been eating here regularly and it never disappoints. I could eat the Chicken Shawarma plate or Vegan platter every day. The owners and head chef are always super friendly and accomodating. Highly recommended!

I'm eating my beef shwarma as I type. This is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants. The tabouli is a must have every visit. If you havent been be sure to add this to your must try list.

A friend of mine recommended this gem to me today and I went all the way from Downtown Vancouver to try it out and I have to say it was more than worth it! It's so great to finally have true Lebanese food in B.C. from the friendly staff to the delicious food you literally want to lick your fingers after having. Definitely coming back to try out all their menu as soon as I get a chance! Keep it up you guys, nawwarto esem Lebanon bi Canada!

I moved to Canada two years ago. The first thing I did was searching for good Lebanese food. After trying many restaurants, I can say that Golden Pita is by far the best! Real authentic Lebanese food and a superior service! It feels like home (Lebanon)

I visited Golden Pita Lebanese Restaurant with a friend yesterday. I asked her where she wants to eat, her answer was 'surprise me'. So I did. The food was tasty and plentiful. Nice atmosphere for us to talk, friendly staff and hard working owner who greeted us upon entry to the restaurant. I love these independent family owned places, they provide the best service. Lots of free parking and close to Sky Train station. I will be a frequent visitor for sure :-)

Really great spot for Lebanese food. Lived up to its high rating. I had the veggie combo and my friend had the chicken combo. Couldn't get enough of the falafels! Highly recommend checking it out if you are in the area. It's a little tricky to find using gps bit trust me it's there and worth the search.

Placed an order for pick up and was told it'd be ready in 20 minutes, not only did I have to wait an extra 15 minutes in the restaurant but they also forgot to pack the pita bread and hummus.

Beef was over-cooked and potatoes were under done
A place where it's very hard to find, check; hole in the wall type of restaurant, check, food is good, check. So then went here for lunch, was quite, I did came here to test the food again that once struck me with wonders about first time trying humus. So then this time instead of a typical wrap i ordered the lunch special, and it was definitely okay this time, but still good. did i enjoy it as much as last time? maybe not because i've ate a lot more variety of food and my expectations are way higher now.

I would say for the price of the portion and the taste i would say it's average, it's just not my prefered type of cuisine as well, but it's definitely good, i wouldn't say it's very good, but it's definitely worth to go once a while. so then overall I would recommend this place if you're in the area and craving for mediteranean food. However there are too many good food around the area as well :D

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the lower mainland. It is small on the inside with just a few tables but the food, the staff and the heart and soul of this restaurant are truly impressive. The recipes which were created by the original family owners and founders have been faithfully preserved. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. If you try one of the dips, you must try them all because they are wonderful. My favorite dish is anything which contains the Chicken Wow. Never before or since have I discovered such amazing, perfectly spiced chicken in a dish that can leave me happier than I was when I entered the restaurant. I wish the best of success to the gentlemen who now dedicate much of their lives to this humble restaurant and I miss it each time I am gone.

As the original family sold to a different branch of the same family in mid-2014, I told myself I would give the new guys some time and then come back, rather than get an early bad impression as they learned the ropes.

Well, that was a dumb mistake on my part.

Upon returning after way too much time, I find this spot as good as ever. Friendly faces, helpful to those not familiar with Lebanese food, and excellent dishes nicely priced. I hope nobody is making the same mistake I did. Go back and say hello!

Very impressive.. Nothing either of us had today was anything less than above average. The texture of the falafels was perfect, inside and out. The wrap was particularly delicious, with the wonderfully rich layer of rice, fava beans and veggies. For a smallish place, the variety on the menu is also commendable.

Service was very helpful. The interior is nice, other than some seats being directly in the sun's rays during lunch. They seem to do a lot of take-out as well.

Definitely would go back at some point.

Not another donair joint... It's not. This is a quaint little corner tucked away where it's hard to notice it. They have donairs and they are quite good excellent really. You'll be happy if that is all you try but you'd be missing out. There's so many different offerings here and things you really only will get here. There Lebanese pies are so good. Zatar pies so so good with cheese, with a beef mixture and one with thyme. Just really good. There stuffed grape leaves also really great. In fact everything I've ever had here really impressed me. Very reasonable pricing . Food has a home made vibe. I love food from the middle east and this place has the comfortable environment of a family run business. The variety is great. So if you want a donair this place will do just fine but there's so much more. The chicken rocket is another winner as well. A spicy take on a chicken donair that's done in a crispy pita wrapping.

A tasty takeout!!. We recently enjoyed a very tasty lunch via a takeout order.

She called and ordered from home (from a menu we had on-hand), before heading to a medical appointment, then we dropped in and picked it up on the way home. We arrived at the time they were advised to expect us, and found everything ready, boxed, bagged, and waiting for us -- a much-appreciated and nice start to our lunch!!

Our order, and it was prepared (in quantity) for three adults -- consisted of their house salad, stuffed grape leaves (with sauces), and large meat pies (with sauces).

The food was good - very tasty and flavourful. The service was accommodating and friendly.

Good food and service, and handy to home -- wow, will have to do this again some time soon ... and for a change, dine-in the next time. It's a cute little place, nice people, and the aroma's are so inviting!!!

A Great Restaurant. It is rare for me to frequent one restaurant. I prefer variety. The Golden Pita is one of those rare restaurants which is nice to go to on a regualr basis. Great place! They make you feel extremely welcome! Great food! Wish their hours were longer.

Looks like recently renovated. It's more of a sit down place rather than the pay up front casual joint. I enjoy their chicken rockets and chicken wow. Great place for a quick lunch.

Food is good, but they need to pay more attention to food safe.

Very fresh ingredients and extremely friendly staff, definitely coming back

Great place. Been going to this place for years. Everything about it is good, the food, the dessert, the people who own it. My son got them to cater for his wedding. We had a ton of food for a week and never tired of it. If you go here once you will go back.

In the depth of Burnaby, tucked in a side building next to a shopping mall, is an incredible little family owned and run Lebanese Restaurant - Golden Pita . I took this shot at 11:55. By 12:15 no seat was empty and it was clear that many Lebanese and non-Lebanese have discovered this gem years ago and became regulars, while I visit it for the first time. I had what Golden Pita calls Wow Chicken simply because I liked the name - toasted pita pockets filled with a roasted/onion/sumaq filling that is a taste to remember. Golden Pita is a restaurant to go back to with lots of people, order all the appetizers as mezza and pretend I am in Lebanon. Even better, their Saturday morning Lebanese brunch menu, including Knefeh, is the next target. A pleasurable discovery. Golden Pita 9630 Cameron Street Burnaby, BC www.goldenpita.ca

Despite being a bit hard to find, this place really isn’t a hole-in-the-wall joint. To me, a hole-in-the-wall is a bit dingy and sketchy. Rather, Golden Pita actually has a rather pleasant and clean interior.

Golden Pita also makes all of its own sauces and spreads, from its homemade Tzatziki and Humous, to its fabulous Hot Sauce. All of their sauces can be ordered in 3 different sizes.

In the Lougheed area, there are a ton of Korean restaurants, a few Chinese and Japanese places, and even a couple of Greek places, but there is only one Lebanese restaurant, and luckily for us, it's a pretty good place to eat. The restaurant is called Gol

Ned had been telling me about his in-laws' Lebanese restaurant for quite a while now but it was difficult to find a time when we were both free to go there for lunch. With a little bit of pre-planning, we were able to find a time that worked for us and Matt was able to come along too. Golden Pita is located in a small plaza adjacent to Lougheed Mall in Burnaby. I was a bit wary about what would happen if I didn't like the food at Golden Pita but Ned assured me that I was free to say whatever I wanted. He offered to order the food for us so there are a few items that I'm not too sure as to what they were called. First came the fattoush salad , which came with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes, and onions. What I really liked about this salad was the toasted pita chips which added a nice crunch and additional texture to the salad. I also quite enjoyed the
