Review Hibachi Restaurant - Burlington

We made a reservation for 7:30pm and we didnt get seated until about 7:50pm! Other than that, food was delicious except for the chicken, it was very dry. Fried rice, Steak & Appetizers were delicious. Bit of a pricey place. Our server was awesome as well. Overall experience was okay.

Hibachi teppanyaki is amazing. Food is delicious and service is great. Staff is lovely and friendly. We celebrated our son's birthday and we are so happy we chose this location. Chef made it fun with his cool tricks. You need to book a reservation because it's quite busy on the weekends. You can put in request for halal chicken, they are very accommodating. 'Chef's choice' was good too, it had steak in it. The whole experience of food being cooked right in front of you is awesome. Kids will love it. Food was fresh and flavourful. Thank you. Highly recommend it.

Visited this place for the first time on Saturday Feb 12th, it was a truly enjoyable experience. We got an amazing chef, his name is Steve. He made the experience just as fun for kids as for adults, involving everyone at the table on his show. Even other tables were enjoying his show. We absolutely loved the food and drinks. Totally recommend visiting specially with kids, and I suggest asking for Steve :)

I normally go to the Hibachi Oakville restaurant, but today (Saturday Dec 12) the available spots for reservations were either too early or too late for me and then decided to make a reservation in Burlington. I am very disappointed with the service level. We ordered the drinks at the beginning and we started eating and the drinks still weren't there until we asked for them again. The menus were sticky and wet covered on a swimming pool smelling cleaner. They did not take the time to dry them. We ordered some desserts and took forever to be delivered. We were asked if we wanted the bill and mentioned that we still were waiting for the desserts and only at that time they realized that they were ordered. I will seriously think about coming back to this restaurant.

The food was very good the concept of preparing it right in front of you was very entertaining. The interaction with the Cooks at the time of preparation was also very entertaining. They are willing to answer any questions of their profession with you. A great place to bring children they founded streaming entertaining. The waitresses and waiters or very prompt and providing a service for you. You do have to book reservations. I do recommend.

hello everyone!!!! time for one of angelinaā€™s brutally honest reviews!!!! so this was my first time eating at hibachi - I have been here once before ((but didnā€™t have dinner here - I just watched the cooking show)). okay so overall, the experience was pretty good!!!! our chef did some pretty decent tricks while cooking our food (made a cool onion volcano and made a lil music with the utensils)!!! i was hoping he wouldā€™ve done some other tricks (our guy last time was SUPER impressive and did some egg magic tricks šŸ˜šŸ˜). experience/atmosphere overall Iā€™d rate a 7.5/10. onto the fooood portion of the review (aka the BEST part). okay so for reference Iā€™m vegan and the good news is that they do have some (although a bit limited) vegan options. you DO have to let your server know that youā€™re vegan that way your chef doesnā€™t cook with the butter and is cautious with cooking your food before cooking the meat. they didnā€™t completely know what was considered vegan but when I explained it they were pretty good about making sure I was accommodated!!!! our chef kinda roasted me a bit for being vegan (and said how the butter makes everything tastes better lol) BUT Iā€™m used to those kinda comments lolol. anyways!!! the tofu option was realllly good šŸ˜šŸ˜ tofu was cooked beautifully & the vegetables were super good too!!! although my one *complaint* would be that I wish I got a bit more vegetables ((im a very hungry girl//eat a lot so I think he underestimated how much Iā€™d actually eat lol)). also the rice was very bland (bc it comes plain) so you gottta dunk that bby into the sauce. overall I was pretty satisfied with the taste!!! vegetable portion couldā€™ve been bigger but itā€™s all good ((: I left feeling pretty full ((: food rating would be a 8/10 (mainly bc I wish they had more vegan options!!!!). anyways if you made it to the bottom of this review, enjoy the picture I took of my food!!! overall Iā€™d say the experience is definitely worth it ((:

Rip off! False advertisement on Groupon! If we went with a regular menu and not this coupon we would have paid twice less. They care more about the car u drive than customer service. Once they realized they were caught in lie they pretended they didn't understand nor spoke any English. Manager was unavailable. Don't want to fill like idiot - FORGET about this place!!!!

This restaurant has sushi basically as an alternative to their primary teppanyaki iron griddle cooking. I had a lunch serving of sushi and sashimi which was a very large and relatively expensive lunch. I think they should have a smaller version for those that want a more reasonable lunch serving size. But the food and the service was good and I would return for lunch if they had a small sushi/sashimi offering. I haven't had teppanyaki dinner in years and I will return to give that a try.

Great food, show and service! Would definitely go back to this place. We had the steak and lobster and it was delicious! Also the wonton soup is great too.

Show POOR not worth the money. We decided to go for New Years Eve, we had a reservation for 6pm, and were back home in the house for 7.30 over $300 later.
We've been to several restaurants like this and this was the only one we've been disappointed.

Show was basic - fire out of onion ring and one egg tossed into chefs hat - that was it period, chef had zero interaction with any of our table, food was very quickly served and within 60mins was all done and we were given the bill, wondering what just happened.

The waiter brought us all refillls on soda, only later we discovered we were charged for EVERY refill, Food was great but I wouldnt go back.

I would like to email to comment but no emails on website, wonder why!

Nothing To Rave About. We came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch at around 1:30 pm. When we walked in, there were only two other people there, which made me wonder if this was a good place to choose for lunch. We waited for the rest of our party to arrive, at which point, we browsed the menu for our food choices. They had a lot of different items to choose from, with prices ranging depending on the item chosen. For the meal that we had all chosen, we found it quite ridiculous that you had to pay $2.50 extra for fried rice, when the plain rice was included in the meal price. The meal prices varied on the type of meat that was chosen however for mine, I chose only chicken, which cost $12. I had ordered a Strawberry Daiquiri, which cost me $6.50, something that I thought would be a bit cheaper in a smaller restaurant like this one.

Once all of the individuals in our party had arrived, the waiter came over to take our drink and food orders. We waited a few minutes for our salad and miso soup to arrive, as it was included in the package that we had all ordered. Both items were quite good, but very small, and the soup wasn't as hot as I would have liked. After our salads and miso soup had arrived, the chef came out and confirmed our orders, just to be sure we were all receiving the correct items. The chef began cooking the vegetables, then the rice afterwards. He did a few neat tricks, such as placing the fire through the onion, and playing with the eggs however, it was nothing too interesting. Once the vegetables and rice were cooked, the chef placed them on our plates, with food falling on the table at times as the chef placed it quickly on our plates. Once our vegetables and rice were finished, the chef began to cook the meat. I thought that the meat should have arrived with the vegetables and rice however, they gave it to us afterwards. The meat itself was quite tender however, there wasn't too much of it. At the end of the demonstration, the chef flung a piece of broccoli into each of our mouths. Mine ended up hitting me on the forehead however, I gave it a good try!

In total, we spent $41 for two people for a lunch. I thought the experience was alright, but, I've actually seen chefs perform better elsewhere. Also, I found the additional prices that were charged for items was a bit too extreme, and that the atmosphere wasn't the best. For a lunch on a Sunday, we were the only ones in the restaurant. In all honesty, the service was good, but in terms of the quality of food and atmosphere, I wouldn't come back to this restaurant.

Oakville grand opening. I thought I would check out the new restaurant that opened in Oakville, despite the rather poor reviews from the Burlington location. We were a party of four including my 11yr old son who I thought would remember this style restaurant for a long time. We made reservations and arrived on time. We were asked if we would like our coats checked. The restaurant is beautiful inside with a dark ambiance. The dinning area had at least six teppanyaki tables that could seat close to 30 people. we were surprised to be joined up with other people. On a Monday night there was one other table being used. We were handed menus and before we knew it the chef was at the table. He said hello and asked each of what we are having. That was the last time he spoke until he was finished. The soup and salad came and the portion was ridiculously small, especially the salad. Our chef started to cook and impressed us with his spatula twirls. He only dropped it once. Then the egg toss which he also had to cut short due premature egg cracking. He then made the flaming volcano which he did not prep me to take a picture. I had the deluxe combo and the seafood combo was had by the rest of the party. For the main food portions, was fine. We all felt too much soya sauce was used which made the meal rather salty. After dinner I asked about the party package which is a picture with the chef in hats. The waitress said it was only for special occasions, and I asked what special occasions. She said only birthdays. We said we are celebrating a special occasion. She didn't even care to ask us what we were celebrating. We were celebrating a 50 year anniversary. Dissapointed evening over all. It was very apparent that staff was in training. Total bill was $180. Luckily there was a 30% discount for grand opening. I only rate this evening a 3 1/2 out of five stars.

Show is not worth the extra money. Went last week with a group for the dinner. The chef who came to do the show spoke very little English. The shows are all generic and not that entertaining. I have been to other places where the chefs are engaged with the table. none of these chefs that I noticed did. There were a few tricks with fire. the only interaction with the audience wasn't with communication. It was either to squirt them after dousing out a flame or to flip food into their mouths. ( The chef missed everyone at our table). I didn't find it entertaining at all. However, the food was not a disappointment. The tempura appetizer was tasty, the steak was scrumptious ( must have been all the butter in the cooking), the hot and sour soup was delicious, and I have no complaints on the fried rice or vegetables. The only complaints I have are :1) We were also rushed out of our seats to make room for the next group. 2) The show does not justify the added price to the meal.

False Advertising. The food was okay and the show was okay.

Their web site says "Sun. Half price Sapporo & Sake".

But when the bill came I was charged full price. The arrogant waiter "Roy" told me that I was in the wrong part of the restaurant.

I will not be back.

Not very private, small portions of scallops I sat around the table it is very cheap... But if you want a better chop chop I suggest spending your money at iron chef over hibachi

Amazing. The service was incredible, the food was delicious, fresh and plenty of it! The staff was tentative and the Chef's were fantastic and put on quite a show. We were really entertained. Really enjoyed ourselves. This is our new favorite restaurant in Burlington. The price is very reasonable and the kids love it too! Jan 2013

This is my favourite restaurant in Burlington. Best sushi in Burlington by far!

Not impressed. Took my staff there for lunch and each oredered a Lunch Teppanyaki Set. Service was quick and friendly. Food was OK, but not extraordinary. Filet Mignon was a bit on the tough and chewy side. I will not return because of the folllowing reasons: Each of us was asked to open our mouth so the chef could fling a piece of broccoli into our mouth. I am not a dog and was not asking for a treat. I declined and the chef still did it. It hit my head. He also squirted water on my staff. Totally uncalled for. They kept clearing our dishes and started wiping down our table, with us still sitting there! It seemed like they wanted us to leave asap. (We were there from 1 - 2pm). We got the message and left quickly. We will not return. This is not the first time I tried Teppanyaki. Other restaurants are entertaining but with grace and finesse.

Awesome!. This place is pretty cool. If you're on the grill side, the chefs are friendly and always doing different tricks for you. Have yet to try the sit down sushi side, but will for sure go back to have it. Great place, great experience!
