Came here for my birthday free lunch and I wasn't dissapointed! Good food with some spectacular dishes, and beyond fast and friendly service. Thank you for having me!

Wish I could give it 5 stars. But they only had 2 types of meat. That’s not enough. Should have ribs at least. In my pictures you can see the only type of meat they offer.

Large selection of food and beers. But don't expect gourmet dining. Great place for groups. Would go back.

Average pricing for the buffet. Fresh and good tasting food. Lots of options for all types of eaters. Free meal on your birthday with id provided.

There's an annoying two hour limit, so it's not super ideal if your guests are late or if you're going for a special occasion. You get kicked out. The food is only kind of so-so. It's not a vegetarian friendly place. They continually run out of food and you have to wait 5 minutes and try to avoid getting trampled. The restaurant layout is very poor. The cake based desserts are all dry. The CrÚme brûlée literally made me gag!!!! The fruit is tasteless. The ice cream is very soft. I won't be back.

Loved this restaurant/buffet from the moment I walked in the doors. Beautiful rustic look with old look signs. Smart marketing as they parade you right by the dessert table as they seat you 😂. Excellent variety of salads, pizza, hot meats sliced right in front of your eyes. Noodle bowls made to order and a great selection of desserts. They have some delicious brews as well. Great customer service and great prices. What's not to love!

My whole family and I loved this place. The chilli, pasta bar, burgers and roast beef was amazing. Exspensive, but being out of town, nice treat.

Love going to this place! Haven't been in a long while though & want to get back some time soon; as the name suggests market-place style food stations with a variety of options -I had always found them clean, friendly & inviting; on top of all that if you go on your bday your meal is on the house! How I missed you, gotta revisit soon!!

On Jan 7 my husband and I went to Tucker's . We had a reservation for 5:00 so that we could avoid the dinner rush. The hostess and our waiter were very pleasant. We didn't find that there was as much of a selection as on previous visits. The food was barely lukewarm. You would think being one of the first people in for dinner that the food would be hotter. There were no baked potatoes being offered which we were looking forward to. There didn't seem to be as wide of a selection for dessert either. It was my birthday but I didn't feel that my husband's meal was worth what it cost him.
I was going to take him there for his birthday but am definitely considering going elsewhere.
Overall I would say it wasn't the best 'birthday meal' that I have had at Tucker's.
Not sure I would recommend it to my friends to go there.

FOOD:
We had come here for the lunch buffet on a Wednesday afternoon at around 12:45 pm. It was for my birthday therefore, I was free-of-charge however, my husband had to pay for himself. There were quite a number of food stations available, with each being divided accordingly. The stations that were at the restaurant included bread, salad, pizza, hot items, roasted meats, freshly made pastas, desserts, and ice cream. Each station boasted quite a number of items, which seemed to be quite appetizing to look at upon first arriving.

The salad station had a multitude of salads to choose from, such as Macaroni Salad, Caesar Salad, Wheatgrass and Barley Salad, and more. The Caesar Salad was quite good however, it was a bit too creamy as a bit too much dressing was added by the staff. The Macaroni Salad was bland as there wasn’t enough dressing, and the Wheatgrass and Barley Salad was undersalted. Although there were a lot of great options, most of them were bland or unappetizing.

In terms of the hot food items, most of the items weren’t even hot, they were just ‘lukewarm’, if even that. Also, some of the dishes were completely empty, and weren’t replenished for at least 20-30 minutes. Therefore, there were some items I didn’t have the chance to try as I had already moved on to my dessert once a filled dish had replaced the empty one. I didn’t have too many items from this table however, the Ham Cream-Filled Pie was okay, nothing to rave about as it was a mix of vegetables with not a lot of seasoning. Most of the items didn’t look too appetizing as they looked to have been sitting there for a long while.

In terms of the pizza station, I did try the Pepperoni Pizza however, I did notice that it tasted like something out of the grocers freezer. The Hummus also tasted store-bought, while the chips used to dip into the Hummus were stale and cold. I did however, thoroughly enjoy the Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, and Cranberry Sauce as they did taste hot (temperature-wise), and quite appetizing. Those items were actually the best at the entire restaurant, with just the perfect amount of flavourings. Also, I have to admit that the bread with the butter is THE BEST bread and butter combination that I have ever tasted, very soft and fresh, absolutely delicious.

The dessert was actually alright however, I found that many desserts found in other establishments were not present at this one (e.g. there were no pie dishes). Also, the dessert station was a tad smaller than I’ve seen elsewhere as I was expecting to see a bit of a wider selection. I didn’t get a chance to try the ice cream this time however, I did notice that were a lot of flavours available which was a bonus for those craving ice cream. Overall, the food was nothing too exciting, with many of the items not bringing forth those feelings of satisfaction from eating a delicious meal.

ATMOSPHERE:
The dining room in which we were sitting in was quite empty when we had entered however, began to fill up a bit as we were leaving. We were in a booth right near the buffet therefore, it was easy for us to get up and grab what we had wanted. The restaurant wasn’t too loud, actually boasting a calm and enjoyable atmosphere to eat in. I suppose this could have been because it was lunch during the week therefore, there weren’t nearly as many people as there would have been on the weekend. I did like the way each of the food stations were decorated (this was the first time I had been to this location since the renovation of the food stations).

SERVICE:
Our server, Diane, was very pleasant from the moment that we had arrived until the moment that we had left. She had wished me a happy birthday when I mentioned that it was my birthday, and came by to ask us how our lunch was as we were dining. She also came to take away our dishes once we were finished. She definitely boasted excellent customer service at all times; we enjoyed being served by Diane!

COST:
1 Free Lunch Buffet (Birthday Meal) + 1 Lunch Buffet ($19.99) = $22.59 (Taxes Included); the lunch buffet was usually $12.99 per person from Monday to Thursday however, during the month of December (up until December 26th), it was $19.99 per person. We had asked at the front why this was the case; this was due to the addition of Christmas-themed items (such as turkey, potatoes, stuffing, etc.) We had thought that this price was a bit high for lunch, considering that it was the same price for dinner! We had thought that lunch would be cheaper, which is why we came at lunch. Definitely weren’t too pleased with this huge increase in price for just a few additional items.

WOULD YOU RETURN?
No. Although there was quite a bit of food offered, the food itself was not appetizing, and definitely not worth the price that we had paid.

I've been to Tucker's a hand full of times back when the Mississauga location still existed. I then came to eat here once and as all my visits at Tuckers it was nothing memorable or worth going back for. The buffet is not bad but it's just half decent at best. A big salad bar, mostly Italian styled with some Canadian as well. I can't even pick a favourite dish because nothing was considered a favourite of mine. I wouldn't go out of the way to come here.. I just happened to be close by at the time. It's really not worth the price for this buffet.

My Husband and I recently visited Tucker's Marketplace and have decided that we definitely won't be going back.

The service was great, we had a super friendly waitress named Tara. But when it came time to go load up our plates, we had a difficult time finding something we actually wanted to eat.

If you're a salad lover, this place is for you. Tons of salad and toppings and potato salads and macaroni salads and so on. If I wanted a huge salad, this would have been great. But I wanted something more filling - I already eat a ton of salad at home.

I tried many different things, small amounts. Most things were bland, needed salt or were just plain disgusting. Their roast, roasted chicken and baked potatoes were the only things I really liked. Even the dessert bar was lacking.

Overall, for 2 of us to eat from the buffet with a pop each, it cost us $65.00 with tax. Yowch. A high price to pay for such bland, uninspiring food.

My favourite place to eat! Amazing food and selection. I love the atmosphere and fresh food! Make a reservation because it's always packed.

Mon Jan 19 2015. Terrible experience. 30 people no drinks. Seated in booth next to server station. Main egress point for people leaving seating area to access Buffett.
Waitress slow and not pro-active.
Gents washroom not really clean. Overall impression furniture "tired" and old. Manager passed our table many times but did not even have courtesy to say hello.
total cost ... $96.
Not recommend it
Posting on Facebook
Terrible experience. Never go back !!

Just ok. Been invited to go here 5 times. I'd never choose to go here.
Service is so so.
Food is ok for some things. Good with others.
It gets busy go early.

Went here for dinner on a week night. It was a bit busy but didn't have to wait for a table. The food selection was very good and delicious, and would like to come back for a birthday sometime.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!. Absolutely horrible experience and management!!! I called a day in advance to book a reservation for my foster daughters 12th birthday for 10 people. We showed up with gifts, balloons and the like and were told that because we didn't have her birth certificate we would be billed for her dinner. (Unfortunately a lot of children in care come with no birth certificate) "It's our policy" she rudely stated. Then she asked if anyone in our party was a senior to which one was. (btw he looks 45) She took his word and never asked to see his identification and he received the discount. Talk about a double standard! When we questioned her on this she said "well if you WANT me to look at your ID, I will." Because she was so rude, I asked to speak to the manager. Manager Jeff fared no better. He basically reiterated the same line (I guess being a manager at Tucker's Marketplace you have no authority.) and was pompous. It wasn't even about the money....we're talking $15 here....it was the principal. They basically made us feel like we were liars. Went through all this extravaganza to save a lousy $15! Not a good start to a birthday meal. Even though we should have left at this point....we ended up staying. (Drove in from over 1/2 hour away) Just as luck would have it I took the first mouthful of my salad and immediately felt a sharp pain in my tongue. It ended up being 1/2 of a piece of a red plastic bread tie and it had sliced my tongue. Everyone witnessed it, along with our waitress who immediately said she was going to tell one of the managers. Nobody came. When I inquired about it an hour later, she was confused why nobody had come to the table. Shortly thereafter, another man showed up, stated he was the manager and said "you have a question?" I looked at him and asked if the waitress had not told him what occurred. He says "Oh yeah. I checked with the kitchen and they said NOTHING they receive has a tie like that on it, so it didn't come from them." The entire table just stared at him in disbelief!!!! AGAIN I was being called a liar! So I stood my ground and told him that we were the FIRST people in the restaurant that evening, the FIRST to the salad, and I was the FIRST person to take that particular salad, so it HAD TO HAVE COME FROM THEM!! He literally walked away from me. No apologies, no nothing! When my bill came he did credit my meal....but it didn't make up for the horrible experience, bland food and destruction of the birthday party.

The Birthday place over and over. Went here for what else.. a birthday. I don't think I have ever been here when it wasn't someones birthday. For one free birthday the whole table endures for the most part marginal food. There are a few stand out items but most of the buffet is mass produced and tasteless. I have to say the meat on display can be exceptional, as with last night's meal. The roast beef was perfect. However, it is a stretch to find anything worthy to accompany it. The mash potatoes and squash were in need of some butter or something. the vegetables are the frozen and reheat variety, and the other things around them aren't specifically for beef. (like the tasteless taco meat /fillers) The Yorkshire pudding wasn't good either. The warm and cold tables were again filled with dishes that need improvement in flavour or warmth. The salad and pasta bars also don't have anything to write home about. The desserts are nothing special. Last night they offered crepes and i looked forward all meal anticipating them because of the chef making them with apples around the frying pans. However, the crepe served't were ones h cooked done a while ago with applesauce! Yuck! Luckily there is always an assortment of ice cream to eat. It far outweighs the rubbery cheesecake ( probably no cheese at all), the choc flavoured oil to dip marshmallows and fruit in, and the fake flavoured whipped stuff, I did like the cookie bars with coconut in them. The hostess and wait staff we had were friendly, quick and efficient in clearing the tables off . I will be back for the same old stuff because someone will want a free birthday dinner again.

There is always something for everyone here. The apple fritters are good. There is a design your own pasta bar.

Hostess' rude comments ruins meal. Food was okay for a buffet (roast beef and turkey station, salad bar, bread and soup). Very disappointed with the hot food and dessert selections. Our server was very good and quickly with refills and clearing plates. What ruined the meal for us was the hostess - rude, not helpful and not conern with the customers' satisfaction. We will not be returning - there are lots of other restaurants that offer great customer service from the moment you enter the door to when you leave.
