The best Caribbean rotis I have found anywhere, and that includes the Caribbean itself!
The roti wrap itself is fresh with the perfect texture—just the right mix of chewy and flaky. The curry is deliciously savoury if you opt for a little less heat. It’s so good I always ask for extra gravy. It’s absolutely packed with perfectly tender meat; I usually go with the beef, personally, and they do not skimp on the meat. And of course, if you’re feeling bold, you can always amp up the heat!
The curry is hot… but not as hot as the chefs! ❤️

Absolutely amazing! Quick service and unreal flavours!! This is definitely a fan favourite in the area and you can see why. The curry goat roti is filling and flavourful. Authentic and iconic spot.

I got the beef roti, and a double. It was one of the best dishes I have ever had. Very reasonably priced. It can get pretty spicy so be careful when getting the appropriate spice level. I went hot and I sprung a few more chest hairs now. The doubles are so pillowy soft, and the chickpeas underneath are firm yet floury when your teeth sink into them. Overall I give this place 5 DD stars.

The flavour was good BUT the portion size of the shrimp roti and dinner was small even though I paid extra for a large. The jerk chicken dinner however was a good size.

Food is okay, I ordered large goat roti, large jerk chicken roti, and large jerk chicken dinner.
Both the roti’s I thought lacked flavour. The meat was nice and tender, lots of potato. Roti portions are a bit small compared to other roti restaurants.
Jerk chicken dinner was good, portion was a good size, rice was delicious, chicken was tender.

Consistent quality and delicious food. I order lunch for my office staff at least once a month from D Hot Shoppe (have been for years), and recently placed a large order for our plant staff of 55-60 people to enjoy following safety training. Orders were clearly labelled for easy hand-out in the lunch line, especially with varying levels of pepper sauce. We originally wanted to book their food truck, but they still offered to accommodate a pickup order when the truck wasn't available. Food was ready on time for pickup so our guys weren't waiting hungry. Thanks to Gabe for organizing our order in advance, and the whole team for feeding our team.

The goat roti is delicious. They offer a curry sauce as an option to pour over your roti - this is not the traditional way; however, the sauce is delicious. The staff is friendly and remembers their regulars by name! Great place for lunch/dinner!!

Best and most authentic roti ever, bar none. Tried the chicken, beef and goat roti and all were outstanding. Perfect gravy-roti ratio, super fresh, generous filling, and nice to have options in terms of spiciness. Will be returning many, many times. Only complaint is the space is too small to accommodate all the customers banging down the door.

Really good food and new experience for Caribbean food. Long line up , got mix veg roti was good but the curry they charged extra wasnt too great secondly didnt give any cutlery with it . Overall good

Had the goat Roti, medium spice with gravy poured on top. You cannot go wrong with this option. Just like a warm home cooked meal.<br/>I should note that if you cannot handle spice you may want something less spicier than the medium.

Tried the chicken and goat rotis for dinner yesterday. I asked the staff to keep the heat down on both of them and they did. I had originally asked for one the their jerk chicken dinners and then one of their large rotis but they were out of the ingredients for both (just before their 7 PM closing), disappointing, but my third choice was very good, lots of flavour and excellent fresh made flat bread. I'll go back another time, not as close the closing and hope they have the ingredients for a chicken dinner.

I tried a roti here on Wednesday at lunch and I thought it was awesome. I ordered it at the "deadly" spicy level and was not disappointed. Not only was it hot, but it had great flavor! So yummy!! Wish I was in town longer to try more from this Caribbean menu!

Never again. Had the chicken roti & a chicken samosa. Feel like I need to throw up now for about 3 hours. Texture was gross, temperature inconsistent. I asked for "touch" of hot & I could barely eat it.

Soooo Lucky to Have This in Burlington. I work in Pickering sometimes, where there are a few good Jerk/Caribbean shops, but D Hot Shoppe owes nothing to those stores. It is as fast (in spite of being perpetually busy) but cleaner than most others I have been to. The staff is always friendly...<br/>The food is excellent. The others I have been to that compare for their taste of food, are a little sketchy for other reasons. (Hygiene, attitude, portion size...). If getting a Roti, ask for gravy and extra pepper sauce if you can take the heat. <br/>This is the best lunch value in Burlington!

Legendary Roti!!!!. This place is an institution, the roti is legendary! The scotch bonnet hot sauce is delicious but beware of going too hot. The chicken roti with gravy is mouthwateringly good. I could not fault this place, the only hope is they buy a bigger restaurant because it gets packed being so popular.

This restaurant lives up to its reputation. Very tasty roti. Nice texture. Nothing negative to say. My one warning would be: don't choose "hot" if you don't like to hurt your mouth. I can eat really spicy and WOW this was spicy. I can't even imagine how their "suicidal" level of spicyness is!!

LOOOVE IT!!! Always get their chicken roti. One of the best I have ever had!!! Don't be scare about the crazy line up, they move really fast. I have had it many times for lunch and I have never been disappointed. Great price, tasty and filling. The only negative and I mean the only...the pepper heat is never consistent. So if you are not adventurous get the mild or touch.

The best roti around. Nothing I have tried in the GTA compares. Portions are large, filling is generous, very juicy, tasty. I'm partialed to chicken extra hot myself, sometimes mixed with shrimp. Be warned, the pepper is hot!

Work Favourite. I started working in Burlington about 6 months ago and was introduced to D Hot Shoppe by a coworker and since then now a week has gone by where I haven't gone to D Hot Shoppe at least once. It was my first Roti and since then I've tried many others and they just don't add up. <br/><br/>The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is great. Pretty cheap too.
