Great atmosphere! Staff was friendly, the food was perfect and the place was impeccable. Cozy vibe- but doesn't feel crowed. Will definitely visit again!

I went with my husband and daughter on Saturday evening and I'm so happy we did! The atmosphere was warm, inviting yet cool and sophisticated. The gentleman who greeted us was really funny and nice, as were both of our lovely waitresses. The food was outstanding. We started with the crab cakes and warm olives...amazing. our daughter loved it all...even the frisee.We had the lamb shank and the beef bourguignon. The food was incredible. The coconut cream pie was just.... .jeeze a loo. Can't wait to come back.

I had the pleasure of attending the West Plains Bistro for lunch on Friday of last week. I used to frequent this establishment quite often, always a favourite place to go on my birthday. In recent years I have neglected the bistro as I no longer conform to an animal based diet. I got the call on Thursday evening, when my dad invited me to have lunch with his two friends who were visiting from Tillsonburg. I did a quick online search of the menu and was delighted to see they offered a few exquisite vegan options. On Friday morning a went to the gym to work up my appetite, my dad picked me up on the way to the restaurant. Upon entering I was reminded of the ambiance that I favoured all those years ago. We were seated in the booth at the window and I began to drool the moment the menu was in my hands. After deliberating with our server, Taylor, both my dad and I went with the Tuscan vegetable soup. I ultimately, paired it with the harvest squash as my entree. The food was absolutely exceptional. It exceeded all expectations in presentation and in flavour. It was the perfect autumn meal, that welcomed the transition of the seasons, as the days are getting shorter and the temperature drops. I was exasperated by the squash, having the entire dish served inside the shell. Overall, the dining experience was fabulous. We had a nice time catching up and reminiscing on old memories. Our server Taylor was excellent. I encourage West Plains Bistro to explore adding more vegan dishes to the menu. I will definitely be coming back.

I’ve driven by this restaurant many times and never thought much of it. I decided to celebrate a special occasion here last evening on the recommendation of a friend. The food was spectacular! I had the Beef Bourguignon and it was delicious. This place is a hidden gem. The food is fabulous and I highly recommend it. Service was great too!

Enjoyed a business lunch at West Plains Bistro. We ordered the escargot, crab cakes, daily soup, and two mains (mushroom crepe shown below). Overall a good experience. Food was tasty and service was good. Lunch crowd was a bit noisy, but otherwise it was a nice spot.

I picked up 2x onion soup along with some other food. The onion soup tasted of perfumed wax and was inedible. When I called to inform the restaurant I was told “oh sorry, maybe it doesn’t travel”. I told them I’ve ordered it for pick up before about 5/6 times without an issue. West plains picks the containers, not me (assuming it’s that). If anyone had tasted it after making it they would’ve realized this. No word about a refund, no offer for Next time I order, just a “wow sorry”. Shame, I’ve eaten here many times. Won’t be doing that again.

Came for my Nana's birthday, everyone loved their meals. Staff was exceptional, personable and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back!

Went for lunch for my mom's birthday and it was perfect. Delicious food, excellent service, a nice atmosphere - we will definitely be back!

delish lunch today at the Bistro have missed being there with my good friend Pat for almost 2 years...beautiful quiche with salad pot of yummy ginger lemon tea and split a scrumptious piece of carrot cake and some good wine to wash it all down with. Good to see lovely service and quality...a fine place to dine highly recommended to those who visit <3

Would definitely recommend! Atmosphere was nice and service was excellent. Our food was delicious! Can't wait to go back. Such a refreshing treat :-)

The fish and chips is what we ordered. The chips were shrivelled and oily. They must have been sat for ages. The fish wasn't bad tasting, however the portions were minuscule. The very worst part was the price. More than $40!!!! For two people. Honestly?!. And before anyone jumps to the restaurants defence here, I am from Yorkshire England. The home of the very finest fish and chips available. Not Burlington, which is apparently the home of the worst.

Since moving to Burlington we have tried different restaurants and this have become one of our favourites. We love the food and the atmosphere. The staff are fantastic.

This is one of my moms favourite places to dine but I hadn't ever been....now it's one of my favourites. Everything was delicious.

Amazing! This being our third visit, we have not been disappointed. Food was fantastic, service was nice (not pushy, or overly intrusive) over all love going for a meal. A little pricey, but then with quality like this I don't mind to much, all be it less often then we'd like.

We were there for lunch and it was packed so service was a little slow. Staff suggested next time we call ahead and our order would be ready when we walked in the door. Food was delicious and presentation was impressive!! Would definitely go again and recommend to others!

$50 for 2 soups and 2 Caesar salads, not even a drink

This is my most favourite restaurant. Never been disappointed. Recommend to anyone who loves good food, great ambience and outstanding service.
