Well, I started working in Burlington not to long ago and stumbled upon this sandwich shop. Checked it out on lunch and it’s pretty fantastic.
They don’t offer a lot of options but the ones they have look yummy. I went for the veal on a bun and it was excellent. The bun was so soft, the sauce had just the right amount of spices and the veal was cooked perfect.
The only reason I only gave 4 stars is the following 2 reasons. 1)I wish the veal wasn’t completely saturated in sauce. This took away any crisp in the veal, gave it a more soggy texture and was a mess to eat. I will ask for the sauce on the side next time so I can add the amount that I like. 2) It was extremely busy took about 20 min to get my sandwich. I could see they had some massive take out orders which I’m sure slowed everything down.
All in, I will be back as this place def has some great food! Cheers CS.

I had a fabulous Italian Chicken Sandwich at California Sandwiches Burlington as a late lunch. Their sandwiches are sooooo good and huge! I definitely won’t be eating anything for dinner. Their olives are spicy and awesome too and a must try.

Have not had a California Sandwich for some time. Was in the area and stopped in, so happy I did. Had a hot veal and it was better than I remembered. Sandwich is huge and full of flavour.

Now, this is the California Sandwiches I remember. Exceptionally cooked veal that is perfectly sauced and melts in your mouth with every bite. Ask for medium heat to give your sandwich a bit of a kick. Breaded chicken sandwich is also a must try as well as the olives!

Great bang for your buck, the full size sandwich doesn’t disappoint I always get the meatball with no extra toppings. Always fills the belly, however a suggested alternative would be the chicken parm or sausage with the works on top. Never disappoints and always leave with a full belly, my employees always say the same thing when I bring them for lunch.

Whenever I'm in town I always stop here. I absolutely love the chicken sandwich but it's too big for me so I get the junior chicken with cheese. The flavor's amazing!

I always get the deluxe chicken sandwich with cheese. Get one sandwich to share between 2 people, or order your own for leftovers! The sandwich is massive and has two or three layers of chicken

The front staff is always friendly and the food is ready quickly; between 15 mins if you order at an off time (3PM), or 30 mins if you order right in peak times

Fantastic veal sandwich not cheewy not too much sauce or breading and a good portion. This place is busy and the employees are still smiling and helpful.

Great sandwiches done right. They are large portions, but they charge for every topping which makes it pricey. $10 for veal with only tomato sauce. Friendly family type atmosphere. Picture below I paid extra for eggplant and mushrooms.

BEST sandwich I have had in a LONG time! They do not make them like this anymore, WOW! I ordered the eggplant and it lived up to EVERY expectation I had. The proportion was massive, I have enough for lunch tomorrow. Service was really quick and very friendly. Very clean enviroenment. 10/10 and would strongly recommend. Cannot wait to return!

Ladies and gentlemen, gather 'round and listen up, because I've got some serious sandwich intel to drop on you. First off, the atmosphere is... well, it's a sandwich shop. No fanfare, no grand decor, just a place to grab a quick bite.
The veal was cooked to perfection, with a nice balance of tenderness and flavor. The toppings were fresh and the bread was the perfect vessel to hold the generous mound of veal together.

First off, all the sandwiches are great. You can spice them up almost any way you want. The staff are extremely friendly and efficient. They have lunch time down to a science if you are in a rush. It is a bit pricey, but you will not get a bigger sandwich anywhere else. The value is pretty good. Hands down, this is my favorite chicken parm lunch spot on this side of the St.Lawrence Market. Thanks guys you rock!

Sam is always so nice. I used to go to the California Sandwiches for lunch in Etobicoke 17 yrs ago when i was working in the area and Sam was there and he remembered me when I came to this location (after so many years! 😮😃). Genuine appreciation for customers. That's awesome. The owners at this location have got it right!! That's great to see these days when many companies fall short on good customer service. This place is 10 stars!

Worst Cali Sandwich I’ve ever had in 15 years at least. Been to almost all locations and this by far was th a worst !!!!! a waste of calories. Very disappointed; never going back to that location.

Love this place for a quick grab for lunch. Not alot of options but they the ones they have are good. Fast service with good size of a meal. Worth every penny and delicious . Could make it bit more spicy ;)

I tried this place while in town on business. I had the veal sandwich with pasta salad. The sandwich was so good and the salad was delicious. I was so full. It was a $15 total, and worth every penny. Awesome!

Sandwich was good but could be better with fresh toppings. My husband and I thought we would try this place. We both ordered the veal sandwich. Mine with cheese and eggplant, his with onions. We both asked for lettuce and tomato to be a topping after tasting them. We were promptly told that those toppings weren't available and there is tomato sauce so you wouldn't need a tomato. Well, the sandwiches are quite large. we could have easily shared one for lunch. They were tasty but I still felt that there should be an option for a fresh slice of tomato and/ lettuce to be on the bun. We will go again but I hope they have lettuce an an option or that the sandwiches are good enough to stand alone .

A friend recommended this place. I ordered the signature veal sandwich with cheese. I was not impressed. Took some time getting to me. Initially it looks like a slop sandwich. The veal was quite tough considering it was so thin. The sauce was good. There are no options for fresh veggies. I've had shnitzel sandwiches before & this one pales in comparison. I wouldn't return.
