Review Rouge - Brossard

One of my favorite restaurant of all time. You know when you are looking for THE perfect experience? Well Rouge is that. The service is incredible and discreet. The food is so great that you dream about going back and the location is really great. I would love to bring everyone i know so they can taste and see that portion of paradise

I ordered 3 plates through Doordash and have gotten my lesson. 3 plates plus tip were approximately 87$ and on average, each place is about $20. I can easily get 3 plates for $20 at Golden Bowl or other Chinese restaurants. The food is not great and doesn’t seem authentic. The general tao chicken bites were too big and the crust was not crusty at all and there was way too much sauce. The second dish was the salt and pepper beef, and the sauce was a like a soup and spilled on the bag. The sauce shouldn’t be like a soup, it should be a bit thick. The third dish is a coconut curry chicken dish and they mixed the general tao sauce with coconut milk, which is not authentic at all. I was very disappointed as I ordered from this place few years ago and it was good. I believe the staff and owner changed and the quality of the cuisine really diminished. We were hoping to get some good Chinese food and we were all quite disappointed, I would not recommend this restaurant and would never order for here again. Please revise your recipes and do some taste test before allowing them in the menu.

I didn't like the fact I had to show my vaccine passport. I went there for my birthday. We ordered several entrées and main dishes that we shared. Everything was in smaller portions than the last time I went. The fish wasn't great. The calamari was way too oily. The spring rolls were smaller. But the main dishes were good, not amazing, but good. There was one person that would fill our glasses of water. He was annoying. He filled my friend's water cup and dropped water on her. He used to come and try to take away empty plates only to put his hand on the food and realise there's still some food in it.

Great space, wonderful service...but the food was disappointing. Hunan dumplings with peanut sauce were tasty, but very chewy. Jumbo shrimp with crispy chicken in a cream sauce on the bland side. Red curry & coconut duck with vegetables was also on the bland side - disappointment overall as we were expecting heightened and refined Asian flavours.

Prices have increased, portions have gone down, specially the meat portions are too small compared to how many veggies there is. It used to be a good deal for the price but now its overpriced.

The food was excellent. A bit expensive for asian cuisine. Did not give 5 stars because the hostess was not pleasant and as it started getting busy service got slow. They need more staff.

I tried the Dan Dan mien and it's nothing like the real Dan Dan noodles. There's no flavor, no 麻辣. Perfect for people who don't like spicy or anything strong!

If you wish to spend a romantic evening at Dix30 but wish to have some comfort Chinese food, Rouge is the place to be. The wine selection is good and reasonably priced. Plate portions are generous so be prepared to share or pack some to go. The waitresses are friendly and professional. Make your reservations ahead. This place gets real busy. YUM
