Review Au Restaurant Le Tandoor - Brossard

A great cozy restaurant that presents traditional amazing Indian food . The service was great and they were always smiling ; I have a feeling that this is a family owned business but I might be wrong . The food quantity and quality were great and the prices were very reasonable ( unfortunately I forgot to take photos before we started eating ) We ordered butter chicken and chicken biryani and both tasted great and the ingredients were fresh .

We ordered lamb madras, lamb curry, chicken corma, mushrooms and eggplant. The food was fantastic, the taste was authentic, well cooked and well seasoned. The naan was warm and fluffy! We loved our experience and the service was perfect and warm! Next time we are trying the sizzling chicken that the next table had and it looked glorious!

Amazing! Our favourite restaurant! Food is so good and the family that owns and operates it is so kind and friendly. We will always come back for more! :)

We stopped in after a full day of driving and this place was the only one open for dine in past 9pm in the area. Overall, the food, ambience and service are all decent but definitely wouldn’t visit again. Biggest issue for us was that the Malai Kofta and Shahi Paneer have the same curry base. As any Indian foodie would tell you- that’s just wrong.

A nice warm place, run by Indian origin family. Samosa chart was totally mouth-watering and was served quickly as well. Nan-roti was good as well. Shahi paneer was disappointing - too sweet gravy. Peas pulao was good.

Best Indian restaurant by far. Tasty food prepared and served by professionals. Thanks a lot, you made our day. We should come back very soon :)

A must for every food lover...Lovely food.. Awesome manager. She is so nice and her warm behavior makes the experience more rich. The place offers a variety of Indian cuisine at very reasonable price. I feel the vast experience of the chef makes the food more delicious. As the name suggests.. it's a place for tandoori... But butter chicken and Bhoona Lamb is something every Indian food lover should try. The place has a good collection of drinks too. The ambience is really good with some nice Indian music playing in the background.. Overall a wonderful experience..

Worst restaurant ever. I would really suggest don’t go there. They are using pathetic oil for cooking. My stomach got upset.

So since the owners are the waiters, and with only 1 chef, it was a 2-hour experience with 1.5 hours of WAITING. Slowest service, ever. The apps we got (onion bhaji & veg pakoras) were some of the most average I've tasted in Mtl. Their prices are way too high for what they are serving, and interestingly, all of their curries - while yummy - lacked any spice (I felt myself wanting to reach for the black pepper, which is never a good sign in an Indian restaurant). The tandoori platter (at $20) was not worth that price with all of the meat being overcooked (as everything continued to cook in the sizzling platter). The veg rice and naan were good, and the meats were decent. All in all, the food is definitely edible but I would never go back. Do yourselves a favour and drive to Jean Talon for some excellent Indian food for way cheaper with faster service!

Never order a TAKE OUT --- POOR SERVICE. NEVER ORDER A TAKE OUT - Looking for good Indian food and found this Fine Indian cuisine food. Ordered some food for the night. Got the nan in open brown cover (Cold and dry). All the items were in one box uncovered. NO SPOONS/FORK/PLATES..... luckily had some from previous days food delivery. Would never order a take out from this place. When gave the feedback to the gentleman who took the order the response was - IF YOU DONT LIKE DONT ORDER... DONT EAT HERE. We dont provide spoons/forks etc you need to have them with you...not sure why he was so upset.

Very sorry for the people who OWN the place.....

WOULD NEVER AGAIN ORDER OR GO NEAR THIS HOTEL.

Is it because I'm not Indian????. Truly one of the worst experience I've ever had in a restaurant. I had to wait for at least 1 hour before my food was brought to me. I work in a restaurant, so i understand when things might take a little longer, but to see two tables recieve their food before us and both tables came in the restaurant at least half hour after us!!!!!!!!!!! At one point I had finished my beer (well before they had brought me any food) and asked if I could have another. The waitress politely came to my table to inform me that there was no more heineken (which was the beer of my choice) so I told her it was alright and that she could bring me any beer that was available. A half hour later I saw the waitress serving a heineken to one of the tables that had come in after me and served before me. I'm not racist. Never have I been and you can ask one of my best friends who is Pakistani, but to see them serving the Asian family before us although they came in at least a half hour after us, and seeing that they had heineken for them but not for me!!!!!!! I abhor racism. I've always been for equality for everyone. I am happy for the family that got served ahead of us. I wish them well. They did nothing wrong to me. However this restaurant will never see me again and wherever I can comment on it, I will make sure that people will know what I want through. If Leslie Chesterman and Pauline Marois are looking for restaurants that don't offer service in french, well here is one. By the way, the food wasn't all that bad... although the lamb might have been very well done (quite burnt really) the rest was not bad.

Rude and Inhospitable staff.. The food and ambience is good. The lady (owner's wife) who works there is very artificial and rude to customers of Indian origin, makes them feel unwelcome.

My wife and I dined there 2 weeks ago and do not recommend the place only because of the staff's attitude. If you dine there and want to box your leftovers, they will dump everything in the same box even if there are different curries or items. I've had this experience inspite of asking the lady to pack our leftovers in different boxes.

Amongst all the Indian restaurants that i've been to, in Montreal, if there's one that I wouldn't recomend, it is Le Tandoor, because at the end of the day, it's how a customer is treated by the restaurant's staff, food maybe good or bad but if the place isn't hospitable or congenial, it's not a good place to go to.
Lastly, they will offer to save you a few bucks on the bill by not taxing you if you pay by cash.
