Just moved to Brockville, and we have found our favorite Fish & Chip shop in this area. Pleasant service, really good value for money, the Cod was very well lightly battered, with a bit of a sweet taste. The chips were fresh and golden brown. If you think the large portion (two pc/fish) is to big, well, they are willing to split it for you, and there is plenty for two.
The fish (cod) was excellent!! The batter has a light sweet taste. Yummy!! The fries could be crunchier. The service was excellent and quick. Would definitely go back.
Great fish and chips. Stumbled on this place and pleasantly surprised by good quality fish. Batter was light. Ate at the waterfront park. Perfect afternoon.
The fried piece of haddock was a good size (not as big as some people might like it), but it actually tasted amazing too. The batter was so thin that it was almost non-existent and the inside of the fish meat was so firm, solid, and delicious! Their tartar sauce was not bad (it came in a small pack like the ketchup packs). I ended up breaking apart the piece of fish and eating it like a piece of bread with my hands. It was so good!!
Excellent food. The fish was fried in the batter and it was so light. Not at all oily and soggy. Never had better battered fish. The fries they make are fresh. They give a variety of sauces with which you could try the fish and fries. The lemonade they sell too is very refreshing. Only thing is be prepared this is a take away joint. So don't expect to go inside and find tables and chairs. Rather you could sit in the beautiful picnic benches outside and enjoy the food.
Great poutine better than manoll's as dons uses cheese curds manoll's doesnt. Fish is $4.25 a piece at dons or at manoll's it's only $2.95 a piece and is better than dons.
Fish and chips by thé River. Fresh fish and chips, each order prepared individually, hot and fresh, take them over to the Park and eat watching the River
The fish and chips taste really good. Very hot, fresh, and fast. Was dissapointed in the packets of tartar and packets of lemon juice. Fish taste so much better with real lemon and good tartar!!
