Great Chinese restaurant in Brantford ...food had good size portions, service was great! Loved the won ton soup....definately a great find.

Ordered in tonight. One of the best delivery/Chinese meals the family has had in awhile. Very tasteful and portions were great. Definitely ordering again! Food arrived sooner than promised. Was told an hour and a half arrived in 45 minutes.

The meal was ample, delicious and reasonably priced. Ordered for 5 but there was enough for 8. We liked the fact that it didn't seem to be overly salted.

Best Chinese food innbrantford .. their almond sue guy is unmatched by anyone else . Food is spectacular prices are good and the service is excellent . No other Chinese food place..not even yins not even close to what oriental food .

Ordered a couple dishes for pick up. It was our first time trying after hearing how awesome they are. Can confirm the rumors are true. They are definitely awesome. We'll be repeat customers after this. Everything was so hot and fresh. Flavorful and plentiful, plus reasonably priced.

Very popular spot in Brantford. Amazing food with every visit since I was a young lad. They only hire great people to work here. Never disappoints. 👍🏽👍🏽

Loved being able to dine in again! Our favourite wonton soup, loads of wontons, pork slices & flavour. My Moo Koo Har Kew had a generous serving of shrimp at a most reasonable price. We're never disappointed.

The most consist great tasting Chinese food in Brantford. Takes a while to get it but it is worth it- We always have leftover that heat up great. Not one piece of rice goes to waste. Good service too.

Ordered a dinner combo and a few additional dishes for take out. Didn't have to wait long past the given pick-up time to get our food. Everything was hot and fresh. Most items were seasoned well, and were flavourful.

This is by far the best Chinese food I've ever eaten. I've lived in brantford for half my life and I've never tried them before, I have now had them twice and can say with certainty I'll eat here for the rest of my life. It's amazing. You simply have to try it. It won't disappoint it's absolutely delicious beyond words!

This is the best place for beef lo mein. Mind you all the other food is great too but my favorite is the beef lo mein. The women there are amazing the cooks are great and the atmosphere is just nice. It's like cheers everybody knows my name

This is probably one of the better Chinese restaurants in Brantford. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice.

Almond Soo Guy is fantastic. Awesome food, great taste, friendly staff. Owners are very nice. Fried rice and other stir fry are also great. We have never been disappointed. This is our favourite Chinese food restaurant bar none.

idk is it that it's so familiar? so comforting to know that some places never change? I've been going here for 20 years, not as often as I could have but when I do the experience is perfectly the same, no decline in quality just.. exactly like I remember.... maybe I should order something other than the Singapore noodles (and honestly you need to try them, spicy? not super dry but crispy and like it could have been an excellent soup but never made it into a pot of stock)... a place worth coming home to

By far the best Chinese food in town. Been a loyal customer for a good 10 years. Good service, good quality. We always get take out and our order is always hot and fresh! Never had a complaint! Would recommend to anyone!!

Quality & Service Declining. After almost 40 years of eating at the Oriental for family occasions, with friends and take out I am sad to say lunch on Nov 6/13 was definitely the last. There have been several other times I have had poor quality food and have not said anything. Like the time I ordered beef and broccoli which had lumps of flour or cornstarch in the sauce and no more that 4 small pieces of beef in it. The takeout rice that tasted burnt. The Szechuan noodles that tasted gritty and dry. Even the almond soo guy, my favorite, at times fried too long and the breading so hard and crunchy. Over the years I have seen the plate portions get smaller on many items. <br/>On Wednesday about 12:30pm my friend and I came in for lunch. My won ton soup was tasteless, and the fried rice and almond soo guy lunch combo was a waste. What happened to the brown gravy for the almond soo guy? It was served with an orange colored sauce and I did not like it at all. I asked our waitress about it and she said it was the same as always. Not so! The brown gravy almond soo guy is well known and well liked, not this stuff. The fried rice had a burnt after taste, I did not eat it. I explained to the waitress why, she was very disinterested. <br/>My friend ordered the Cantonese chow mein and the noodles were dry and clumpy, lacking the sauce needed to have them moist. This too was mentioned to the waitress and again disinterest, she did not offer to get additional sauce and my friend left more than half the noodles aside on a full size order.<br/>The wait staff is usually very friendly and accommodating this lady was not in any way. Even seeing food left behind and our expressed dissatisfaction was not acknowledged. We did not tip.<br/>My friend works at a downtown location which receives many out of town patrons and she expressed she would not be referring any more people, this is sad but one cannot recommend a place to eat that they themselves are not satisfied with. <br/>Even with my dissatisfaction with some dishes in the past, the almond soo guy was always a constant, but no longer. I ate it at lunch but I would not want a full size order with that orange gravy on it. <br/>I know for a fact the food and wait service has been far more superior and possibly you would like the constructive criticism for the future, since The Oriental is an icon for Brantford. Note: Management of the restaurant did not bother to respond.

Umm!. I live close to the Oriental and eat there all the time. I usually order the Cantonese Chow Mein. So good. The combos are real good too...I shouldn't be writing this review at 4 in the morning. I'm hungry.

Awesome Restaurant!. Amazing restaurant!! Many people have told me good things about this place, and they were right! The restaurant is old-fashioned looking, but the decor is nicely done. The wait staff are very friendly and attentive; always filling up our water glasses and asking how we are doing. The food was delicious! Huge portion sizes, all for a cheap price! A huge bowl of fried rice and lemon chicken was only $5.20, I couldn't believe it! I will definitely be back, great service, great food, great prices!

Fav. This is my favorite Chinese food place. Really love the WonTon soup. The staff are always welcoming and very attentive. The atmosphere is enjoyable. The food is very affordable and very good.
