Review The Golden Teapot - Brantford

It's rare to find a proper tea room in Canada so this place is special for us. The location and the offerings are very much on par to what you'd find in the UK - minus a Victoria Sponge :) Visiting this tea room makes us feel like we're back in a small village tea room in the UK. The service is excellent. The scones and clotted cream are delicious. The tea itself could be improved but we can overlook that because of the fantastic ambiance.

We had a wonderful time today! The host Linda is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever had serve me. She was so incredible sweet and very particular on details. Everything was so nicely done and tasted so good! Definitely will be returning! Also the art gallery and staff were fantastic!! Definitely would recommend!!!!

I had my daughter’s bridal shower at The Golden Teapot. I could not have asked for a better experience. Linda was so accommodating and kind with all of the arrangements and the menu. The food was amazing! It was an elegant experience. I could not have been more pleased.

I can't say enough about our experience, beautiful location and a very nicely ordained room. The staff was so super friendly and sweet she definitely made our visit that much better . Now as far as cost it's not cheap for 4 of us having high tea it cost 178.00 with a tip which was very well earned, I didn't stress about the cost because of the quality of the food and the staff experience but keep it in mind not really a budget choice . Free entrance to see the art gallery was included with the cost I will definitely be back !

This is such a lovely spot for tea. The owner was genuinely unique and very friendly. The food was so good that you will keep eating until you can not eat anymore.

The place is really cute for a tea party. We had our good daughters celebration and Linda is a very nice person she thinks about all the details for an afternoon tea. There is also a museum upstairs and a nice garden to walk around.

A great location and setting for afternoon tea, with a delightful host. Unfortunately the food did not match up; the scones were small and tough, the sandwiches dry at the edges, and the fruit also looked weary. Not a great birthday treat for our friend - disappointed.

A lovely little establishment with a typical but quite delicious afternoon tea service. Owners were attentive and kind. Would like to return in spring as I think the environment around the teahouse would amplify the experience!

Wonderful setting in sun drenched room. Intimate setting and great service! Great selection of teas! I would highly recommend serving the scones with something...some churned butter and preserves and/or clotted cream!

"Because it is important to you, it is important to us". These words from the owner rang true as our experience at the Golden Teapot quickly became an unforgettable memory. Its a strange thing but it is almost as if time itself stops and all that remains is you, your friends and the table full of amazing, delicious foods. I can still hear the sweet piano and guitar plucking away at Fields of Gold. The lush garden view was breathtaking. A very special thanks for the warm welcome and kindness of the owners for remaining open after hours just to host our small party of five. My sister will always remember the enjoyment we shared around that beautiful table. ...If anyone is reading this review and looking to try something new...looking for a way to make a friend feel like royalty... or if someone is desperately searching, trying to relive their first high tea experience...the Golden Teapot is absolutely perfect. Oh, and I highly recommend the Buckingham Palace tea. Truly incredible.

We visited The Golden Teapot for our third time, and my sisters surprised me for my birthday with the Royal Kensington High Tea. The choice of teas will please any discerning tea lover's palate, and the food, pastries, scones, fruit, veggies and special tastings (wild hibiscus flower treats) were unbelievably delicious! The beautiful views from the tea room are exquisite, but most of all, Linda is the star of The Golden Teapot. It wouldn't be the same without her gracious, welcoming and awesome service.
